He knew his brother all to well. And that Kenny would be some where in the forest. Ash left the house for a while to be alone and he heard his brother was back in town. And wanted to see him...Ash never liked the fact that he had a brother as a vampire....With all those vampire slayers and all the wolves in Forks....Well it must be hard on his brother having to be on the run all the time....Ash walked out into the forest all alone. He was going to the very place he and Kenny used to have a club house at....With Kenny and Mason....Things were so different when they were kids....
Ash moved a branch out of his way with his arm as he continued on his way. He wished Kenny had not said to go too far deep into the forest....But Ash understands why...Being able to sparkle in the sun light and trying to hide that was hard enough. But, Ash was going to ask his brother again to day why Kenny has not just owned up to what Ash requested and change him....Ash hated this...Being a weak clumsy human where his brother was far from that. That was one reason Ash wanted to be a vampire....But knowing Kenny, Kenny would say no yet again even when they don't see each other often as they should....
Finally! He made it to that secret place....This place was a lot more easier getting to when he was a kid....He's done so much since then....He even remembered the day he was told that he and his brothers and twin sis would be moving here....What a drag that was....But Ash actually loved it more and more with the woods all around them there was always some thing to do.....Ash sat there on a rock and waited for his brother....

Kenny sat near the lakes edge his knees were drawn firmly to his chest. He had always like this part of the forest the most. It was always so peaceful, at least it was when he choose to visit it. He didn't think much of trouble and often avoided it, yet he had always seemed to land himself in some sort. He never meant to it was normally from an accident, he never meant to cause others any sort of misfortune . Yet he did and that's why he was here. He was trying to avoid any sort of potential disaster for himself and others alike. Wrapping his arms around his chest, to shield himself from the chill breeze. although it was clearly not needed, Kenny continued to gaze out at the lakes horizon.
He was always so curious as to what lay beneath the lakes water and had mentally made a note to soon find out. He didn't like leaving things unanswered. He blinked his dry eyes and looked back out to the lake. It was then he realized his necklace was missing. "N'est pas bien," He groaned looking around him. The necklace his mother had giving him a six years ago and meant a lot to him. Mad at himself, he stood up and started walking around the edge of the lake in hopes of spotting it. He knew it wouldn't be to hard to do so seeing as how his eye site was so clear and sharp. A smile spread across his face when he spotted it near a tree, he picked it up, brushed it off, then put it in his pants pocket. The latch has broke and he would need to fix it later.
Looking up, he saw Ash on the other side of the lake. With his vampire speed he rushed over to his brother. Now beside him he said, "Hey, something wrong?" Kenny could tell something was on his mind.....But what?

"Hey, something wrong?"
There he was. His perfect in all ways brother. Ash sighed as he heard that question from his vampire brother. How could Kenny not know what was wrong? He had keen senses of detection when ever some one was down or any other of the emotions that came with humans. A vampire could sense ten times more....
"I..." Why was it so hard for him to say it? He was scared to ask his brother. He wanted to live forever. But after what Kenny told him about the pain you go through with your first few days was indeed hell...You have that severe pain you have to go through as well...But Ash didn't care about that...
He just wanted to be with his brother. He knew that some time they would be the only Hao's on the planet....Well. Mason & Alex....Ash never understood why Kenny would not just make all his siblings immortal...What was so wrong with that? Ash thought it was wonderful actually....And from what Ash heard you have a choice of human blood & animal blood....But, there had to be a reason Kenny would not change Ash....

"I..." It was eating at Ash, plucking at his emotions, tearing him. Kenny knew what it was now...Had to be it. He sighed lightly and sat on a rock next to him before talking. "Ash," He began, looking at him. "Why? Why do you want to be a monster? I don't understand. Once you're like me....your life disappears. Our family will die, our friends will die. we have to hide our true nature from humans....That doesn't sound very fun does it? Loosing everything you love and then dealing with the pain forever."
Kenny looked out at the lake. "Sure, vampires look good. We our faster, stronger, and usually more talented....But is that worth loosing everything you have? I've told you before how hard it was for me...and still is....Give me one good hell of a reason I should change you." He looked back over. He could feel the pain in his brothers heart he could also feel how much aching was going on. Only, Kenny couldn't understand why his brother wanted a life of a black hole. The thought of having Ash as a vampire beside him sounded wonderful...He wanted to be with his family forever...He didn't want to loose them...Kenny would be happy...But also sad for Alex, Mason, their adopted sister, and their parents for having to go through another 'lose'

Ash had that determination look in his eyes that Kenny knew all to well....When Ash had his mind made up it was made up. Ash knew all the pain would be a tense feeling....But Ash looked at it as the other way around. Kenny had to save him and his other siblings from death. And he could now do so. Ash turned away from his brother as he started to walk away. He was going to find some one else....Rather Kenny did it or not. He knew there were more vampires in Forks than he was suppose to know about....All because of his brother...."Maybe that chick Victoria can help me...." That might the end of the straw as Ash said that....
But he was indeed serious....He had to know about Victoria....Because she was a bad seed from what Kenny told him about her and warned him to stay away....Yeah Kenny wouldn't like this one bit....But it was gonna get done one way or another....

Wait what?....Was this some kind of mind trick? Is he really going to find someone else to change him? No, if anyone would, it would be him! He doesn't want to but no one is going to change any of his family unless it's him! Tension flaring off his brother made Kenny grit his teeth... He stood slowly from his rock, no rush in catching Ash anyway. Ash was like a snail compared to him... "Ash!" He started, walking infront of his brother to get him to stop.
"If anyone, at all, is going to change you it will be me. I just don't think you're ready. I don't want to, I really don't...I don't want to be alone either...Will you at least look at how I feel?" Kenny's eyes were hard, fixed, and serious. He felt like doing something rather drastic to see if he were really ready to be changed...First off, he would study his heart beat and how high the rate would go, also his blood pressure, body movements, eye gestures, and breathing....Without warning, Kenny shoved his brother against the tree behind him, hard enough to at least make a startle but no injuries...He moved closer...Eyes fixed on his. With in a second he had his teeth against Ash's neck...What now? How would he react?
Kenny wanted to scare Ash out of saying 'nevermind'. He wanted him to feel scared but only for his own good. But he also wanted to know if Ash were being serious; that's where this current situation will come in to play. He very much wanted all his family with him and saying no was hard enough. Two sides tore at him...Let them age and die...Or give them a curse to be with him forever.

Ash sighed as he looked down. Kenny always could make him feel ten times worse than needed. As Ash looked down all he thought about was the pain Kenny would have to go through if he did some thing like this....As much as he hated to admit it.....Kenny was right. Vampire were bad guys after all...But from what Ash has seen from his brother that's not true with some vampires. Some of them drink animal blood instead of human blood. Cause they can't stand the fact of being labeled a monster. That would not bother Ash at all....He would drink animal blood. But that was besides the point. He heard his brother's voice was already in pain. Ash was asking him to do some thing he really did not want to do....
How selfish did you have to be to beg your brother for some thing he just couldn't do and not take his feelings in to consideration? Ash felt just that way right now. He was hurt that his brother thought all this time that being a vampire was a bad thing....But it wasn't to Ash....."You're not a bad guy Kenny....You never were...." He said that as he never turned around but looked up where he was....And sighed out a heavy sigh as his breath escaped his lips....."And you need a good reason to change me?! That's kinda off don't ya think?!! I am thinking about your feelings Kenny....Just don't think you're a bad guy....Not around me...At least...You're my brother...Nothing's gonna change that..." Just as he said that he turned around and saw his brother....But there was some thing off about him...Before he could even run....Ash was pushed into a tree! Hard! By his own brother.....His eyes widened in fear...He clenched the tree with his palms tightly....As he felt the teeth on his neck...What the hell happened?! Had he lost it just for a split second....? He finally relaxed....If this is what his brother wanted...."If you wanna kill me....Go on....But think about Alex....What would she think about you if did kill me....? If you wanna change me...Then go ahead and don't stop.." However as he said this tears were rolling down his face as he looked up at blue sky above them...He was either inches from death or immortal life....Ash was dumb struck...He wasn't sure why Kenny would do this to him...? Scared the hell out of him?!

Kenny had the reaction he thought he would get. His vampire way wanted him to smirk, however, he pushed the feeling. He couldn't stand himself when he had found happiness in human fear. Ash's heart went wild and the smell of fear quickly raised...but then he started to relax.... "If you wanna kill me....Go on....But think about Alex....What would she think about you if did kill me....? If you wanna change me...Then go ahead and don't stop.."
Kenny sighed heavily as he backed away from Ash's neck, to see tears. Wonderful, now he felt like a complete ass. He used his gift to give him a sense of calmness and warmth to help calm him down. "You're not ready. That was my purpose of acting as if." He muttered shoving his hands in his pockets. His lips pursed together momentarily. "I'm sorry...It was a weee bit uncalled for." He soft look come across his pale face. The sun was peeking through the trees shining on the right side of his face..sparkling. He knew Ash would most likely be upset over what he had done but he also knew he would get over it. "I would never kill you." He added sternly. Kenny could never kill a sibling like that...not one so understanding as Ash.
"I love you Ash. I don't want you to have my curse. You don't need to look for Victoria either...Or any other vampire for that matter. Promise me you wont do that to me. Please. You never know when one might just decide to kill you and not change you. We are manipulative...They could easily find you as an easy catch and go with your idea...then just...turn on you."

His heart did in fact beat ten times faster than the average human at this point! Kenny could most likely hear the heavy panting as well that escaped his lips....This was it....He either gonna live forever or die....But some thing stopped his brother as he felt his brother lt go of him...Ash opened his eyes to see the soft expression now on his brother's face....Ash saw his brother back away but Ash remained with his back against the tree....

Ash's breathing decreased slightly...But not much. He was still scared. But Kenny could always tell what emotions were going on with his brother any way....Ash knew enough about vampires that his brother was enjoying in seeing the fear in his eyes as he started to try and attack....But Ash knew that was not his brother. That was just the monster in side him that was trying to get out and maybe Kenny was strong enough not to let that happen....Still, Ash remained with his back against the tree. If Kenny did some thing again....He just didn't see the point in running away....He knew his brother would catch him...
Ash bit his lip when his brother said that last part. Ash was not really going to go after another vampire to help him. He knew better....But Ash felt bad now that he said that to Kenny...."I'm sorry I even said that...You know me...More than any one....I love you too brother...I can't stand the thought of what you have to go through. I just wanted to make it easier on you....So you would not see us die one after another...I promise I will not go after Victoria or any other vampire...."

Kenny was at loss of words at the moment. He wasn't sure where to go...They had talked about turning Ash before but it was never like this. It was the first time Kenny did anything harmful to his brother...He shoved him lightly and could have accidentally shoved him to hard...Or he could have not been able to pull away from his neck with the blood coursing through his veins, calling him.
"I'm sorry I even said that...You know me...More than any one....I love you too brother...I can't stand the thought of what you have to go through. I just wanted to make it easier on you....So you would not see us die one after another...I promise I will not go after Victoria or any other vampire...." Kenny looked to the ground. "Thank you." He had to admit...hearing Ash say he wouldn't go after a vampire to turn him made him feel better. "I know you want to help. I just....." He wouldn't look up. "I've killed people...tortured them even.. Made families suffer before taking them too....I can't believe you don't hate me for that. I'm not hopped up on human blood anymore but...still...I've done wrong. The first year as a vampire its like you need it...it's worse than being addicted to meth or cocaine. It's much worse. I don't want you regretting me turning you and then feeling that guilt of murder...if you do murder...I'm not saying you will...There's just so many things that could happen and end up with you hating me."
He finally looked back up. "I just don't want you regretting me for turning you. I feel like you already resent me. You may be my brother...And our family doesn't turn against blood...The feeling is there though." Kenny wasn't sure if he had told that to Ash before or not...But he wanted him to know...

Another word that Ash hated to hear....resent...How could Kenny even think that Ash for one second resented, or hated him....? He saw that Ash was almost ready? What would it take to be changed? Ash was no longer to throw himself in danger any more. He only did that to let his brother see that he meant business about him changing in to immortal...But Ash did miss the good old days back in London....Those days they would never get back...."I don't hate or resent you....I never could...For once you are wrong about me...That shows the real Kenny is still in there some where....I know you won't kill me....Even if you come as close as you just did now..." Which was so like some thing Ash would say in tense situations.... |

Kenny gave a weary smile then a single nod. Ash is lucky he didn't met Kenny before he gained control and good sense about him. Otherwise he would be dead or immortal. He couldn't even stand looking back on those days of misfortune, the pain and suffering of many and then his death-eating guilt afterwords... ."Don't apologize....You just could not help yourself....*Smirks*....I am after all irresistible...." Kenny laughed and shook his head. " Come on man it's annoying to glitter. Remember writing the Walk With Us skit? Every time we look at that store in London it seems to remind you and Mason both of me glittering." Kenny pondered on what to do...It wasn't like there was much to do in the forest and it was to sunny to go into Forks. They could swim? " Bloody sun...We can't go into Forks today...Well you can..It would be best for me to stay here." It wasn't that Kenny was asking him to leave...More like wondering out loud. " We can also see how far I can chuck you into the lake." He shrugged his shoulders with a grin. He didn't know about Ash but that sounded fun! Kenny pointed to a pile of boulders about ten foot from the ground leading straight into the lake. " Flying Ash." He smirked. Ash let out a little chuckle....How could he forget that...? "Bloody sun...We can't go into Forks today...Well you can..It would be best for me to stay here." "That's fine I can stay with you for a while..." He nudged his brother on the shoulder slightly as he was finally at ease...But deep, deep down in the pit of his gut he was scared of his brother still. What ever Kenny was trying to accomplish he must've been wanting to scare the crap out of Ash....And it worked.....But he would never resent his brother...Not for any thing...
"We can also see how far I can chuck you into the lake." Ash looked at the lake.....Maybe when Kenny was human he would say yes...But as of now....? NO! He was wanting to be immortal...Not die...Ash looked at the lake and saw how far it seemed to be to the other side...."I'll pass..." He joked..."Flying Ash." "Again I'll pass...." He chuckled at that and was happy now than when he got here...He could always cheer Kenny up.....And Kenny would always make him laugh..."Man I bet the girls are wild about you man!" Another relaxed and up beat statement...The thought of girls scared him more than his brother did....How did Kenny handle it....? "How do you handle the ladies?"

"I'll pass..." "Again I'll pass...." Kenny laughed lightly and gave a shrug. He wasn't being serious unless Ash wanted to fly then yeah...He would toss his brother right on in. It sounded entertaining to him, seeing Ash soar into the sky and all...He would land in water! Couldn't hurt to much, right?
Kenny was in a much better mood now....He never understood the whole sibling thing they have...He has watched a lot siblings bicker, fight, and sometimes hit one another...They most they had was disagreements. He preferred it this way, that way there were no grudges or pain...Well besides the pain the two were feeling about changing him anyway. "Man I bet the girls are wild about you man!" "How do you handle the ladies?" Kenny chuckled at this. "Music helps." He told his brother the obvious. He already knew that seeing as they've played for people before and the...girl fans. Fans were gone now...they never got even in the underground because of moving to America...Although gigs were still up to do....nothing is the same.
"I like the ladies, Ash. Don't date often at all but still....They aren't so bad. Just....relax...Play the guitar if you have too. They'll think you're playing for them when really it's just to relax yourself so...win win!" He gave a laugh. "Why? Who is she?" Kenny raised an eyebrow at his brother, wondering if there was a mystery girl...

He was feeling so much better now...Just as it it has always been....Even if Ash did fall in love it would be more than a one night stand thing. He was taught better than that....They all were...Vampire or not....."Come on....We both can have a little bit of fun every now and then...What'd say? I know I great club in Port Angele's.....That is perfect for us...." Ash knew his brother never hurt any one....Or even if he did he would not mean to. Ash was there to make sure his brother remained on the veggie side of things....But Ash was not about to give up on asking his brother to change him not by a long shot. Ash knew what he wants and there was no changing his mind...Even after Kenny nearly scaring him half to death! Kenny was just trying to do just that. But look at them now...They were back to being brothers and being there for each other as though that little scare didn't even happen....
