Today's Not Your Day To Die....*Kenny*

"Maybe after the night gets here you can come with me into town. And just hang out and play pool or some thing at the club....In Port Angele's." "What? No! I have no mystery girl....If I did You'd be the first to know...." Kenny chuckled. He knew Ash would come to him if he liked a girl but he also knew he wouldn't be told but so much; seeing as there is a private life. Something told him Ash wouldn't be going for a one night stand though... The Hao family seemed to have many good morals to them. Kenny himself has never looked for that even if he flirted often.

"Come on....We both can have a little bit of fun every now and then...What'd say? I know I great club in Port Angele's.....That is perfect for us...." Kenny smiled and nodded. He needed to get out for a while considering he hasn't been up to much lately..It would take his mind of not being able to see his parents....He missed talking to them and knew he would never be able to. At least he could see and speak to his siblings even though Mason is a tad scared of him. "Sure, it'll be nice to get out. What's this club like?" Kenny started walking in the direction out of the forest knowing Ash will follow. "We taking your car?" He asked taking a hand through his fro.

"Sure, it'll be nice to get out. What's this club like?" "We taking your car?" "Alright! Yes...We'll take mine....It's not far from here any way....Come on slow poke!" Ash started to run to the end of the woods where he parked his car on a little country road and grabbed his keys out of his pockets. He wanted to spend time with his brother so badly...He hardly every got a chance like this...Because well, Kenny stayed away from him and the rest....Simply because he was a vampire....And now, Ash would drop the subject about being turned for now. He wanted to have some fun....

He walked to his car and got in the driver's seat...He turned it on and smiled at the sound. He loved this car...It was his baby...He took very well care of it. It was the first thing he bought after he came to the states....He popped in a CD and let the music blast! They were in the middle of no where! Who would know! No one one that was certain. How ever Ash was still not knowing about the other vampires that live in Forks. The Cullens to be exact. But tonight was going to a guy night's out! Ladies look out....Ash took out a smoke and lit one up as he inhaled and exhaled the smoke he smiled...As he checked himself out in the mirror. He was gonna have a blast tonight....Maybe a chance to score with a beautiful lady?

"Alright! Yes...We'll take mine....It's not far from here any way....Come on slow poke!" Kenny laughed, "Hey!" He ran along side Ash instead of trying to beat him, it was always an unfair race. Besides, it flooded memories of the two in London running around the town together during their work outs. The gym was the best part of their sibling bonding time! Always looking sharp! Then, of course, the smoke breaks and skipping randomly so people would give them weird looks....after that they would usually go home and chill with Mason and Nita....lovely routine! It was only a once or twice a week thing, but fun while they lasted.

Kenny hoped in the passengers side with the a half way rolled down window to feel a breeze against his face. Listening to music blasting and driving who knows where, he was rather enjoying himself! He looked over as Ash took a puff of his cigarette and remembered when he used to smoke as well. A smirk spread across his face before turning his attention back to the road, tapping his foot to the beat of the upbeat music.....When a stoplight come up Kenny looked out the window to see a guy swallowing a sword without hurting himself and another male blowing fire from his mouth... "Uh..." He scratched his fro. "How lovely.....Ash, don't ever try to eat fire man." He chuckled.

"How lovely.....Ash, don't ever try to eat fire man." "Haha! No worries man....I won't do some thing that crazy! Nor put a sword in my throat...This city is insane some times...." He said as he was stopped at the stop light. But soon it turned green again and Ash spun away from the crazy guys.

"This bar will be great...They have strippers...." Ash pulled over to the parking lot across the street and got out of the car and waited for his brother. As he lit another cigarette and just didn't care what his brother was going to say....He was on his own....He's not seen his sister or other brother for a while and their parents were no longer the boss of him...He had to tell Kenny soon that he had a place on his own and that he was going to live with him instead of in caves and such....That wasn't right for his brother...Ash had a three bed room apartment....And he was ready to surprise his bro with that...."Hey, Kenny how do you what I have waiting for us when we get through with this?"

"Haha! No worries man....I won't do some thing that crazy! Nor put a sword in my throat...This city is insane some times...." Kenny smirked, at least Ash had good sense to him! Kenny wouldn't even put a sword down his throat as a vampire...not because he is scared he would hurt himself but because it looks very unattractive and unappealing to the insides....Sword devouring...those men had to be on something.

"This bar will be great...They have strippers...." Another smirk spread across his face with a snicker. That did sound like some fun even if he couldn't drink anymore. The stuff just wouldn't go down! But that's alright, it wasn't going to stop him from having fun with his favorite brother....He would never say that aloud not even to Ash...How wrongly it is to pick a brother over another...Sad really, but Ash was a blast to be around and by God Ash owed him another piggy back ride!! "Hey, Kenny how do you what I have waiting for us when we get through with this?" Kenny looked over to his brother with a questioned look. "What?" He said in return.....what, was there some other surprise other than a bar with strippers? By this rate Ash isn't going to owe him a piggy back ride he would owe him one all the way to Paris and back!

"What?" "Here..." He took a key out of his pocket. And placed it in his brothers hand..."A key to our place. Once we get really fixed up. It's a mess right now. But the rents reasonable." He said as he started to walk towards the bar. Ash had not had the ability to sense when danger would come around. He was still human. So he had no idea what was going to take place tonight. As Ash was all pumped up and ready to have some fun....He rushed across the street. To get to the night club. But as he did so, he was unaware of what was taking place up the street, a bank robbery. People up street started to run down to where Ash was. He was separated from his brother. Where was Kenny? The screams and shouts and gun shot were bound to do damage. Ash watched from where he was. As cops blared their sirens up the street....As the scene got heavier on them Ash looked over at where his brother had gotten off to....So much for fun....But nothing could prepare for what happened in the next few moments of his brief life....As a gun man was firing off random shots...One bullet hit Ash right in the chest....The impact of the bullet was so strong it made him slam against the brick wall. No one would see it either. Ash being far from the scene and people running like mad to get away....."K...Kenny?" He said in a low voice as he slid down to the side walk...It was getting harder to breathe....As he tried to keep his eyes open....He was feeling like he was not gonna make it. As tears streamed down his face...All he thought about was his family....

Kenny hopped out of the car."A key to our place. Once we get really fixed up. It's a mess right now. But the rents reasonable." He looked over at Ash with a completely surprised look on his face. This really took him by surprise! He didn't even think Ash was moving out anytime soon but apparently he was wrong! This would be so much fun and he could have more room to do his work! He put the key in his pocket.
When he had looked up Ash had already taken off across the street, with a huge smile he started after him....But something was wrong...He could since and smell fear starting to flood the area. "What?" He muttered to himself as he looked around... People started pouring into the area causing Kenny to have a hard time keeping an eye on Ash... "Ash?!" He called out through the screaming crowd. "Where are you man?" He sniffed around, pushing through the crowd as he did so....He knew there was danger and he wanted to get his brother out of there before something terrible would happen....Gun shots started going off, but he ignored them and kept looking around. This was supposed to be a fun night why did some idiot have to go and ruin it with whatever stupid stunt they were pulling? Finally, he pushed through everyone....but only to see and smell Ash's blood... ."K...Kenny?" ...."No...no....no.." He kept repeating the same word over and over as if it would help. "ASH!" He ran over to his brother who was now slid down to a sitting position...."It's alright......I'm here." Kenny took his shirt off and applied pressure to his wound... luckily the smell of blood had no meaning to him right now. "You're going to be fine...You'll be alright." He told him trying to look him in the eye...But was he? The gun shot seemed to have hit an artry close to the heart...that or punctured it...Kenny wanted to cry so bad now but there wasn't anytime to think about that...
He tied the shirt around Ashs chest to keep pressure on it and picked him up...The crowd was now else where and the police officers were busy leaving them alone....He put his brother in the car and started driving for the woods. "Ash...Ash can you hear me?" What was he to do now? He knew the doctors wouldn't be able to save him...They couldn't....Their was nothing they could do...but Kenny could...He could save his brother.

"You're going to be fine...You'll be alright." Tears rolled down his cheeks as all he could think about was the pain. He didn't even know when his brother had take him back to the car and was now driving him to the woods. Ash looked down at his chest and saw the red color and knew what was happening. "Ash...Ash can you hear me?" Ash wanted to speak that he could. But it was all too painful. He was loosing his voice as he started to open up his mouth to speak but nothing came out.

His eyes got heavier and heavier. He was too weak to tell what would happen. He just sat there in the car as he let his brother drive....It was amazing what a few short minutes could turn out to be. As he was lost in the darkness of his mind, he was feeling his body go numb. He had forgotten his brother was there and was trying to make him stay awake. But Ash was in so much pain it was impossible to stay awake. He tried though. He just wanted to sleep. "Mom...?" He didn't know what he was saying. His body was trembling. He was losing his self control. What ever Kenny had planned he better do it fast. Because it looks like Ash's day to die.....

Kenny tried driving as quickly as possibly to the forest....He didn't want to change his brother...He didn't! He was afraid he couldn't and wouldn't and honestly didn't want to think about that but he hasn't a choice. What was happening now depending on Kenny's ultimate decision...When Ash didn't speak he become even more worried...And by the time he said, "Mom...?" He couldn't take it anymore...He was to emotional to drive...He pulled over Ash's vehicle and hopped out of the car....after grabbing his brother he jolted as fast as he could as deep into the woods as he could.

"Ash listen to me," He told his brother, laying him down on the ground. "I'm so sorry. I'm sorry I lost you in that crowd..." He wanted....no needed...to cry. He cursed his vampire ways for not being able to produce tears. "I'm sorry I couldn't have stopped it Ash I'm so so sorry...Please forgive me." Kenny watched Ash's breath becoming shorter and shorter...His heart beating so fast thudding into his ears. He knew what he had to do, and if he didn't he would lose his brother forever....he couldn't handle that! He couldn't...could he...

He just looked at Ash, watching his brother die and feeling guilty for everything. Ash's eyes started closing on him. His hand shook his brothers head lightly..."Ash! Ash! Don't...Don't go please...I need you. I can't loose you!" Kenny knew his body was giving out on him and that it was just to much for his human body to handle.

What was he waiting on? Why didn't he just go ahead and bite him? He felt so torn up instead that it was stalling his decision...let him die...or turn him. He took a deep breath in and spoke in the calmest voice he possibly could. "You know what I have to do......I don't want to loose you.....You were right..... Please....Don't go." He closed his eyes as tightly as he could get the then let his teeth sink into Ash's neck injecting the venom that once took him....Ash would be with him soon....He would have his brother back....Kenny let go from his brothers neck and just held him like he had been. "I won't leave you until this is over.....Not even then....I promise."

"Ash listen to me," "I'm so sorry. I'm sorry I lost you in that crowd..." "I'm sorry I couldn't have stopped it Ash I'm so so sorry...Please forgive me." That was to the point to where Ash's breath was nothing but short raspy breaths. Sadly the tears from Ash's eyes never stopped flowing. It was as though they were knowing what was going to happen and they were falling one last time...But remarkably, Ash heard what his brother said. He wanted to tell Kenny not to worry about it so badly it was eating him alive. Actually the bullet was eating his heart alive. "Ash! Ash! Don't...Don't go please...I need you. I can't loose you!" He couldn't help it. He wanted sleep. His eyes closed completely on Kenny just then. Any thing that was said after this he would not register.

It didn't take long for Ash to shot his eyes back open the moment he felt the venom enter him. Ash knew what was happening! He shot his eyes at his brother. Who was still injecting the venom in his neck...His body started to tremble shortly after that. As he Ash made painful agonizing cries! He was going through the changing process. Ash let his fingers dig into the dirt as he screamed out in pain! Ash now knew that this was over. There was no going back. And he was not going to die today after all...What was going to happen now? Ash was too much in pain to consider thinking right now. "I won't leave you until this is over.....Not even then....I promise."

Ash moved his hand over and grabbed his brothers tightly. As the pain was dying down. The change was almost over. He could feel some thing was wrong. He no longer felt the need to scream from a bullet pain that hit his chest about a few hours ago....He opened his eyes as all he could see were trees all around him. He was not even breathing. And it felt so weird to him. His brother had done some thing he knew he was against....He wanted to cry. But when he tried, nothing happened. His life would forever be changed from this moment on....

Kenny watched as his brother screamed in the hell fire pain deeply wishing he could help ease it, but he knew he couldn't....He would just have to wait until the change was over...Watching Ash in pain like that was terrible; he thought he would have to go for a walk or something to ease his mind off his brother. He didn't though, afraid he might miss something or something might go wrong.

The fluttering of Ash's heart started beating so fast it sounded as if it were a thousand trains going by..... He knew the change was almost complete...And oddly, Kenny smiled. He smiled because he didn't loose his brother after all...He smiled because he could have at least one family member with him forever.

When the pain of Ash's stopped and his heart come to a hault, Ash's eyes opened. They were the usual bright red eyes that every new vampire or non-vegetarian vampire had. His skin was ice cold against his own icy skin and he was pale....The newborn vampire was beautiful....Kenny opened his mouth to say something but nothing would arise. There were just so many emotions running through him at the moment all he could do was stare at his brother who looked like he was attesting to cry......Finally he said, "Sucks doesn't it? Not being able to cry?" Another smile placed on his face as he sat his brother up, letting go of him for the first time.

"How do you feel?" He asked him sitting infront of Ash.

"Sucks doesn't it? Not being able to cry?" Ash looked over at his brother as he sat up after realizing that he was laying on the ground. And nodded at what his brother said to him. It was so much to take in all at once. His life just changed on a dime. Was this even legal? He didn't want his brother to get in trouble for saving his life....

"How do you feel?" Ash looked up at his brother with his red eyes....Some thing every new born has until they can control themselves. "How do I feel?....Hungry..." But a different type of hungry. He was blood thirsty hungry and Kenny would see that. Ash realized how well his sense of smell had gotten...."Why am I so thirty?" He asked his brother. As he sat there in his place. He didn't know what he looked like either...Was there some thing else wrong with him? "Bro...why are you starring? You look like you saw a ghost..."

Just as he said that though, the sun seemed to sneak through the trees and he looked down and saw his hand sparkle slightly....."Kenny...You...You saved my life..." He said almost emotional...He didn't realize either that his emotions were ten times stronger now....Ash stood up and looked at his hands that sparkled. He the n realized what had happened. There was no way Kenny would've made it to the hospital in time for him. So he knew Kenny did all he could do.

"How do I feel?....Hungry...""Why am I so thirty?" Ah, the newborn hunger. Kenny remembered it so well, but that was because he was one not to long ago. The human blood was still hard for him to ignored even though he managed to somehow...He couldn't stand to kill people even if he wasn't of their species anymore. "Bro...why are you starring? You look like you saw a ghost..." Kenny only smiled at this. His brother was...well...beautiful! Every vampire looked so stunning and humans couldn't help but drool over them...it's seduction almost.

"Kenny...You...You saved my life..." He nodded as he stood up. "I did....I couldn't' t loose you....I just...couldn't. I couldn't let you die in my arms." Kenny kept his voice calm even though the hint of emotion was still there. "You're going to be thirsty. Newborns need more blood than older vampires do...." He sighed lightly knowing Ash wouldn't be able to go near humans for a while...long or short depending on he handles his control and emotions...And that's all up to the vampire. "You'll no longer feel what humans feel...Not the same pain...no bleeding...Our emotions are ten times that of humans." He continued explaining.

"Come on bro...Let's go for your first hunt and then....to my place so you can see yourself." Kenny smiled and took off at the speed off light moving deeper into the forest. He couldn't wait to see the reaction his brother would have to his new speed! He also knew Ash might have a few questions so he prepared himself for any that might arise.

But I didn't want to make you have to change me....That was my fault..." "You'll no longer feel what humans feel...Not the same pain...no bleeding...Our emotions are ten times that of humans."

"Okay...Well, at least I have great teacher now...." "Come on bro...Let's go for your first hunt and then....to my place so you can see yourself."

Ash was glad it was his brother and no one else with him right now. And it was his brother that changed him. Because if any one else had, Ash would not have been so relaxed now as he was. He saw his brother take off...Ash was just trying to adjust...First thing he would find out was how fast he could be! So this was it...He as his brother dashed deeper in the woods, Ash had to follow. He could even still smell his brother too! This was amazing! So with out further a do, Ash started to run towards his brother as well!! He loved it! This was amazing! Only one thing that was wrong...How to stop! Ash dashed right past Kenny...."Hey bro! Caught---!" And he landed face first in a tree! And slammed on the ground and started to laugh loudly! That was amazing! "That was awesome!! Guess I gotta get the hang of it..." He said as he stood up...And then he smelled some thing as he looked at his brother...."Animal....Deer?" Wow, that was intense that he knew what it was!

Kenny kept running, that is until he would smell an animal near by for Ash to devour! This wasn't bad so far, Ash will soon realize, if he hasn't already, that he wont be about to see the parents, or his twin or brother...But right now everything seemed to be okay! "Hey bro! Caught---!" Kenny watched his brother run right past him! What! No fair! Kenny started to speed up to catch up with him but Ash ran into a tree! He stopped running and almost fell over laughing at him. That really was something to be recorded and watched over and over and over again....Send it in to Americans Funniest Home Videos! If only that would work!

"That was awesome!! Guess I gotta get the hang of it..." Still laughing, he nodded at his brother. "That made my day." He said through his chuckling. "Animal....Deer?" Kenny sniffed the air...It sure was! "You're right...How many heart beats do you hear?" He asked Ash almost as if he were trying to teach him...Which he wasn't but was in a way. He wanted him to know all the differences there was to his new body and how to work them. If he could hear that there where in fact three heartbeats then they would be set to hunt them down. One for him and two for Ash.
