"That made my day." Ash looked up at his brother laughing his head off..."Haha! Very funny yeah I get it...." He snickered himself as he teased his brother. "You're right...How many heart beats do you hear?"
He heard three. "Wow...I can hear three, is that...normal?" This was just way too much for Ash to adjust to. His senses were ten times stronger than when he was a human. Kenny was right about that. Would Ash be able to handle this new life style? Would he need more help? Maybe. But Ash was scared slightly about what was going to happen to him now....He could not see his parents or sister.....Not like he used to. He knew that from seeing Kenny. Not seeing Kenny all the time nearly killed him. But now he would be able to be with his brother no matter what! But he did not know what kind of dangers he was in...."Hey, Kenny, are there others like us here in Forks?" He had no idea about the Cullens. Or his brother dating one of them....He had no clue because his brother tended to keep that side of him hidden....But maybe now he would open up to Ash....

"Wow...I can hear three, is that...normal?" Kenny nodded. "Yes, it is normal." Kenny shoved his hands in his pockets casualy. "You can have two of them. You need more than me. Whenever you're ready, take off for them." He didn't want to rush Ash into hunting, instead, he would wait until he is ready to run off for them. Deer can't go very far very fast anyway, not compared to the two at least. Catching them is so easy, later Kenny would have to have his brother try out a mountain lion. Those are pretty fun to catch.
"Hey, Kenny, are there others like us here in Forks?" The question was unexpected but reasonable to want to know. He hadn't told his brother about his girlfriend or her family, the Cullens. There were others around as well in Forks, Port Angeles, and other surrounding areas. Infact, the newborns numbers are getting crazily high. He knew something about an army, but didn't know much more information. Kenny figured it best to tell him about the newborns later on, "Yeah, the Cullens are like us. I'm guessing you know Dr. Cullen, Carlilse Cullen... I'm....uhm...well, they adopted girl named Ana...I'm with her." Kenny waited on a response from his brother on telling him he's dating a Cullen. He usualy tried keeping Ash away from thing like this for his protection but now that he is a vampire there's no point in hiding anything. "Ana is a newborn like you. That's why I didn't say anything...."

"You had a girl and you didn't tell me? Man..I can't win..." "Ana is a newborn like you. That's why I didn't say anything...." New Born. What kind of name was that? It sounded kinda mean. But Ash didn't say any thing to his brother. "What does new born mean? And why did you bring me to the woods? You don't trust me....?" He asked his brother all serious now. Ash was serious. He looked at his brother in the eyes. There was some thing strange going on. Ash could just sense the tense emotion off his brother. He was hiding some thing from him....New Born...That name hit him again. There was some thing wrong with him...He just felt it..."There's some thing wrong with me isn't there...?" Luckily Ash didn't understand that a New Born simple meant that you were born again as a vampire and you would have blood thirst for ever so long. Ash walked away from his brother. He didn't understand why his brother chose to eat animal. What was wrong with eating human blood? Ash was so new at it he was going insane with all kinds of questions. Hopefully though, Ash would not lose control like some New Borns and just kill....

Kenny felt terrible now like he did something wrong but he kept in mind that Ash's emotions were going up the wall right now...He would have to handle this carefully until he could fully understand what's going on.....Ash started walking away from him...."What?" He muttered confused....He ran in front of his brother to get him to stop walking for a moment. "Wait..." He said.
"Newborn means you are just born as a vampire. You're new. Just born." Kenny looked his brother in the eyes trying to make him understand he was being serious too. "I brung you to the woods because people would hear your screaming through your turning. They would try to take you to the hospital and doctors can't do anything...We can't be exposed. If we expose ourselves we are breaking law...We would both have been killed by the Volturi...We have to listen to the Volturi and follow the laws. I will explain all the laws later..." He paused momentarily hoping Ash would understand it wasn't that he didn't trust him...he was protecting the both of them from being exposed. He didn't dare tell him that he wouldn't be able to handle himself around humans right now. Ash would probably take him wrong and think he would be calling him weak...which he wouldn't be..."Ash, you need to understand....Newborns are....Your blood thirst will only last for so long...If you practice control you will be fine, I promise...Right now you need to go after those deer...You will feel better." Sighing he felt he needed to add something...."Ana is a newborn as well...That's why I didn't tell you or bring her near you...it takes a bit to learn control and I wanted to keep you safe. You don't need that protection now..." Kenny gave his brother an apologetic look.

Ash understood everything as he sighed and relaxed now. He was immortal. He had a lot to adjust to. But he knew his brother wanted to save him. And he did just that. Ash was grateful. But he was not so sure if this whole vampire thing was what he really wanted now...."I don't want to eat animals...I can't eat animals...That's disgusting..." But the smell of the blood from the deer and the deer's heart beat was racing....It would be no task for Ash to attack and kill...But he couldn't...He just couldn't hurt an innocent animal...."Kenny, I can't.." His brother would know how Ash felt about animal rights and such...And this was going against all he had a respect for...He couldn't kill defenseless animals....But if he did not eat some blood he would not live for long...And he that would not suit well with his brother...Ash knew that...But he was scared of going against everything he stood for....

He shook his head lightly....He didn't know what else to tell him. This was...hard for Kenny. "Kenny, I can't.." A blank look come over his face as if to have no emotions at all....He had tons of emotions but didn't feel like showing any. He was at a loss. He didn't know what to do.
"Fine." He simply said. "You don't want to hunt animals....Then go be a murderer." Kenny turned around and started walking away...but stopped for a second to add something. "By the way, if you don't have blood then soon you well go crazy and kill anything in your way...Could be mum...dad...your twin...Maybe a friend.....The choice is yours." He didn't turn to face him.
Ken took off running, heading no where in particular. He just needed to get away from this....He felt like he was using reverse physiology on Ash and hoped it would work but just running away from him was a stupid idea...Who knows what Ash will do next?

Ash grabbed the tree tightly with his hands...As he heard what was coming out of his brothers mouth...This was the first time he saw his brother run away from him. What did Ash do...? He was too scared to leave the woods now. He slumped down on the forests ground and just curled up...He was lost. He was scared. He couldn't hurt animals. But he couldn't do the other either...He was so scared he would the minute he was to leave the woods. That's why he stayed where he was...He curled up and shut his eyes tightly. It was getting dark faster. And he was all alone in the darkness...He missed his mum, his dad, his sister...He missed everyone...Being a vampire what not all that was cracked up to he...He was so lost...He wanted to cry the minute Kenny left him all alone....But it was impossible to cry....He just kept his eyes shut from the world around him....

Kenny stopped a few miles after running. He knew his brother wasn't following him so was he just staying there in that same spot? Or did he run off too? Kenny sniffed the air...Nope, he hadn't moved. A million thoughts were running through his head and he had no way of calming them down....he needed to do something...He couldn't just let his brother go wild. The Volturi were already mad about all the newborns running around and Ash would seem like one of them, apart of whatever they were doing.
Sighing, he did the only thing he knew to do...He reached in his pocket and called Edward Cullen...Why? He had no idea but hoped he knew how to help. When Edward answered Kenny wasted no time. "Edward....I....I turned my brother...Before you think anything irrational, someone shot him and he was going to die...I couldn't let him die...So I changed him." He voice almost choked. "Ash is refuses to hunt animals but by the looks he doesn't want to hunt humans either and I...I don't know what to do...I don't know how to deal with a newborn on my own...Please help." Kenny waited for an answer from Edward knowing he was talking a mile a second but he couldn't help it! He needed help with his vampire brother...He's never dealt with this before. While he listened to Edward he started walking back to his brother, feeling guilty he left him.

Edward was back at the Cullen house all by himself again as he was listening to his music he answered his cell "Hello..?" On the other end he heard Kenny's voice..."Edward....I....I turned my brother...Before you think anything irrational, someone shot him and he was going to die...I couldn't let him die...So I changed him." Edward was scared this would happen...He knew a little bit about Kenny's other family members...But not well...But he knew about them and he was not about to judge Kenny either. He would've done the same if it was his brother...

"Kenny, calm down...Where are you?" He asked without hesitation...This was some thing he had to do. He was so good at being the bad guy Edward didn't have time for good things. He wanted to help Kenny badly. And he knew a little bit about new borns. But not as much as Jasper did...But Kenny called out to Edward...Why, Edward didn't know. Was it because he was the only one in this family close to Kenny's girl friend? "Where are you?" He asked. Edward knew it would be a matter of time before Kenny's brother attacked humans and didn't mean to...Kenny called the right person...He was the one that has killed before and maybe he could knock some since in to the other brother's mind....Edward was already out of the house at the edge of the woods waiting on a response from Kenny.... |

He felt so guilty about everything and wondered what would have happened if he just let Ash die...only he would never let Ash just die under any circumstance. He was his brother and if there were a way to save him he was going to take that chance! "Where are you?" "Forest. A few miles from the house going from the east side." He told him, again rushed.
Kenny didn't want his brother to hurt anyone because he knew it would tear him up in the end. Ash just wasn't a person to turn into a non-veg vampire, not to his understanding anyway. He ran a mile closer to Ash but not in any seeing view. He didn't want him running off before Edward would get here. It shouldn't be long since he wasn't that far from the Cullen house but waiting seemed to take forever and a day. He wondered what Edward could do......What could he do?
He bit his lip and leaned against a tree.

With that he hung up his cell and slipped the cell back in his pocket. And rushed right into the woods. It wouldn't take him long to find Kenny. Edward smelled Kenny right away. Finally by night fall he found Kenny...And rushed up to him...As he placed a hand on Kenny's shoulder...
"I can still smell him...He hasn't ran off yet...But he might. Let me walk up to him...He is a threat Kenny. You might not be able to catch him he's faster now than he was...Just stay clear behind me okay..And stop worrying...We have a special way to treat new borns back at the house...He'll be safe there...Okay...Okay..Come on.."Edward rushed a few miles ahead of Kenny. He was worried. He was helping a new born. Some thing Aro hated! And this was indeed stupid! But he had to help Kenny's brother...Edward sniffed the air and smelled his brother not far now when he stopped...He looked every where for Ash...And spotted him laying on the forest floor curled up...With his eyes closed...Edward knew he couldn't just scare Ash away..."Ash?" Edward examined the new borns condition...When Ash opened his eyes and looked up at Edward, Edward saw that his eyes were indeed a dark red...Just as Edward feared..."Don't worry....I'm here to help you...." |

Kenny agreed to stay put and not go to Ash. He stayed against the tree and just waited for Edward to arrive. He kept sniffing to make sure Ash wasn't going anywhere and apparently he didn't have plans of moving...That would make it a lot easier on him and Edward at least. Edward put his hand on Kenny's shoulder and all he could do was nod. He wasn't sure of what to say. It didn't help that he couldn't stop worrying...but he tried. He needed to stay strong for Ash. Sighing, he took off running behind Edward letting him stay far ahead... "Ash? Kenny stopped running giving some space between him and Edward and Ash. He wasn't to close but close enough to be able to see from afar. "Don't worry....I'm here to help you...." He bit his lip hoping he wouldn't run off or be scared of Edward...If Edward went to school in the past few year maybe Ash would know him...
"What are you going to do? He could run off...." He thought to Edward as he looked at his brother curled up on the ground...Ash needed to feed...

"Ash?" "Don't worry....I'm here to help you...." Ash looked up at the stranger. And then saw his brother from behind the stranger. He knew Kenny had gone to get help. This was one Kenny knew obviously. He looked up at Edward with his red eyes. As he moved away from Edward in a squirming way and hit his back on the tree....Ash was truly messed up. He looked at his brother. He was scared. He didn't know if he could trust this new person. But Ash saw that this guy was the same. He was a vampire....But that didn't help the situation. Ash was still scared. There was nothing really to be scared of. Because he knew his brother did the only thing he could. Ash looked down and shook his head..."How are you going to help me....?" He asked lowly. And in a sad tone. Ash didn't hate his brother though for what happened. He understood why Kenny did it...That didn't bother him at all. He was just scared of what he was now. Now that the reality had sunk in....Did he really want this....?

Edward looked at a worried and scared Kenny. As Edward did his arm out to stop Kenny from getting any closer...Edward though Kenny was a bit ways off. Edward didn't answer Kenny yet...."How are you going to help me....?" Edward sighed as he knelt down to Ash..."Ash trust me...Please." At that moment, the young man known as Ash, stood up...And nodded at what Edward said. If Edward wanted to help he would help...And that was when Edward placed his arm around Ash's shoulder...And pulled him along back to his brother...."Just don't be scared...We're taking you back to my place..Okay.." Ash nodded..As he looked at his brother...Edward led him back to Cullen house..."You coming...?"
He asked at Kenny. He helped a very unstable Ash get back to the Cullen house safely. He was ready to try and help people again. Regardless if he was a Volturi member...He was not going to give up as long as he was a free here in Forks. Besides he had a wife to love him and wait for him to come home to...And he could not just give in to the old ways of the vampire....He was taught better by Carlisle.... |

Kenny saw his brother look at him and all he could do was....look back. His facial expression showed worry and sadness. Ash wanted this at first...and Ken could tell now that he was having second thoughts. This is what Kenny had tried telling him all along but he wouldn't listen..This tore him up inside. ."How are you going to help me....?"Ash trust me...Please." "Just don't be scared...We're taking you back to my place..Okay.." Kenny become relived when his brother agreed to come with Edward...At least at the Cullen house he would be safe and hopefully not destroy anything...Esme would not be happy...Which brings up thought of, how are the rest going to feel about Ash coming in? Kenny become worried again.
"You coming...?" He nodded. "Of course." He was quiet the whole way to the Cullen home although Edward probably didn't think he was very quiet at all. All the thoughts of regret but happy but sad and worried and everything else in between...He was surprised Edward didn't just tell him to shut up.
Once he stepping foot into the house he turned to Ash. "You're going to be okay Ash..."...Sighing, he sniffed the air to see if Ana was here...She was not, she must be out hunting or something. He become disappointed....He needed his girlfriend..But his brother needed him more.
