Rachel Looked at her friend sunny, the two stood alone in the gym it was after school, she placed her hand on her head "I don't think I can do this" her friend spoke, and rachel smiled "trust me you will be fine...I taught this song to brittany and she isn't that bad at it, trust me if brittnany can do this anyone can...plus I am an amazing tutor when it comes to music...you ready."
The girl nodded at rachel "Ok ill do my best...thanks again for helping me...i mean I won the contest for you to visit my school for a month, but you didn't have to help me with this." Sunny spoke, Rachel smiled "what are friends for."
Rachel & Sunny began to hum together & Rachel went to the cd player that was on a seat behind her and turned it on.

Edward never had to stay after class for any thing. But today he was. He had to pick some thing up for Carlisle. And was the only Cullen left in the whole school now. It was a damp day and their were a few kids still here as well. Edward never thought for a minute to even consider stopping by the gym. Until he heard a song play. That was playing kinda loud. Edward peeked through the glass of the gym door and just spied for a little bit. He could hear what was going on in some of the students minds as they walked past them. Think by now they would get used to a Cullen....Edward just shrugged it off. And continued to listen.
Edward didn't have to be home just yet either. He had all his home work done in study hall. This was a very first day of school with out Bella. She was home sick with the flu....So she would not be here. If she was, he wouldn't be spying on a girl. It was wrong of him, he knew that. But he couldn't help himself. And the song that was playing was pretty catchy to. Edward would never be seen in the schools gym. Simply because he does not play any sports. In school that is....The girl with brown hair sorta reminded him of a girl he knew in Alaska....But that was a long time ago....Like in the 1960's....So it was most likely not her.....

The music finished and rachel smiled "See I told you, that you would do great." the girl looked excited and thanked rachel again. "Hey I am going to go home, want to come with me." sunny asked, Rachel shook her head "no it's ok, I am going to go back to the motel soon." Rachel told sunny, The teenager watched as her new friend left and smiled she went to the radio and skipped a few tunes, and heard the instremental music play.
Rachel pulled out the rubber band from her hair and let her hair fall to the sides naturally, She closed her eyes listening to the music she had Artie send to her laptop last night. she thought of finn and had written this song just for him, Finn was her best friend, her true love & co leader of New directions with her.
Rachel opened her eyes and began to sing.

Edward saw one of the humans leave as he backed away from the door to let them come through and he was leaning against the wall. But he then looked back through the window of the door and saw the one he was eying on all along. Sh never left with her friend. And her voice was beautiful. He was almost in a state of a slight trance with her voice. But that wasn't it. No that was far from it. He wanted to kill her. He kept hearing his father's voice in the back of his head. To keep him sane. 'Remember who you are.' Edward sighed. This girl seemed to be a music junkie. But she did have a wonderful voice. There was some thing he liked about her. Her voice. That was it...He just listened to her sing to herself. He's not sun for any one else except Bella. And he would so not sing for any one else....
Part of him wanted so badly to kill her. Despite what kind of family she had. Edward was just like that. He could do away with her body easily. But he had to control himself...His hands shook inside his jacket. He was not that monster any more. He was a vegetarian...Or that's at least what his family call it. They don't attack humans....They can't. It would so violate the treaty. All this running in his mind, he had no idea that he had stepped into the gym now and was walking towards the girl....He was just couldn't help himself. Bella always said to get to know more people....Maybe this was his chance....But he was still unsure of himself.....
"Uh, hi....." He said almost gulping....As it was hard to get the words out....

Rachel finished singing and turned the music off, she saw a handsome pale boy with messy bronze hair, he approched her and spoke to her, Rachel smiled and looked at the pale boy with the strange eyes.
She was almost enchanted by the beauty of this guy, but her heart belonged to the man she loved Finn scott "oh Hello...My name is Rachel Jones" she spoke with a friendly smile introducing herself.

Edward gave a her weak smile. She liked the way he looked. He placed his hand on the back of his head and scratched it as he let his hand go back to his side then....He hated knowing everything some times. But he was a master at hiding it.
"Nice to meet you Rachel....I'm Edward. Edward Cullen...."
What drew him to Rachel was her voice. Where with Bella it was her blood. This was different. Way different. She liked music like he did. And he saw her in music class from time and time ago. But he never paid her any attention. He saw at once that she was what did they call it, checking him out....He didn't mind. But he was glad Alice was not here at the moment...She would probably be mad at him for checking another girl out behind Bella's back....But she was so intoxicating to him. Just as she was feeling the exact same thing for him. But they were both civilized to keep that to themselves. They were teenagers after all...Well one is....Edward is 109....And so not a teenager! But he looks like one.
"You have...a great voice...."
He commented. That was true enough to its word....She did have a great voice....He's hardly ever got the opportunity to hear just her voice in music class....She seemed to be a very bright and open person. But he wouldn't jump the gun on her just yet....He would get to know her a little bit more before he would just let her be his friend....He did need more friends....This was a first for every Cullen in school at the moment....Edward was the first to approach two humans in a while....He was not going to kill her....But he could smell every inch of her. She smelled divine to him....But again, he could not kill....Even though he wanted to so badly!

Rachel looked at Edward she had heard a lot about him from one of the girls named Angela well so this is the imfamous Edward Cullen, he is really nice looking & friendly too...I knew Angela was a liar, he is not mean at all I wonder what's he like..
Rachel was surprised by Edward's complement "You have...a great voice...." The teenager blushed scarlot red "thank you very much for the complement Mr Cullen, I practice every afternoon for two hours straight, I also drink lots of herbal tea it's good for my voice" she spoke a little rapidly, something that tended to happen when she was excited about something. Rachel took a step closer and smiled playfully "I bet you have an amazing voice yourself huh Mr. Cullen" she spoke with a playful laugh

Edward couldn't help but smile at what she said in her mind about him. She was nice to. She was also checking him out as he was checking her out. They both couldn't help it though. But luckily it was only in their minds.
Edward moved closer to her then. 'Mr...'? Why so formal? Just call me Edward. Not like I'm school principal or any thing." He then caught on what she said next. That he might have a great voice. He did. But, he didn't use it for the sake of pleasure. He used it for his girl for one thing or when ever he had no choice but to sing, like in music class. "I'm sure you've heard it once before in music class....But besides that, why are you staying here after school....? You're in most of my classes we don't have any after school projects either...."
Edward looked down at the stack of of CDs...that were on the bench next to him. He took the liberty of looking through them....
"I like this group....They're pretty good..." He flapped the CD in his hand then and placed it back on top of the stack. He felt slightly better. He didn't wanna harm her any more. Besides later tonight, he was gonna hunt with Alice. So all was good for now....Edward was not the type to social with humans other than Bella and her father....But, he was trying to be sociable....This was where he became very shy as he looked down. She was indeed pretty.....No doubt about that. But what would Bella think? That's just it....he didn't know. He would at least maybe have some one else to hang out with if this went well....

Rachel nodded her head "i was trying to be polite, but Ill call you Edward thanks...Im sorry to admit this, but I kind of flake out in class, I tend to think about ideas for songs or practice in my head and well I was practicing, until sunny came along and I helped her out...then you came along" she laughed a little scared that she probably just gave Edward ammo to put her in a mental place.
Rachel looked as Edward checked out her music selection and spoke "I like this group....They're pretty good..." Rachel smiled "yeah their a great band" she spoke to Edward wow it looks like he dosn't know who I am, this is cool I guess, a little annoying but mostly cool...he has good taste in music which is rare for a guy. she thought to herself Rachel took a step closer to Edward Cullen, "so Edward, I am sort of staying in Forks for a while, I was wondering what is there to do for fun here." She asked the cullen

"I know who she is. I just figured that she did not want to expose that part of her life to myself. Which I will not pry on. But unless she wants to talk about that subject we might do that some time." This is Edward in his mind talking to himself he addresses himself as I some times......
So she wanted to know if there was any thing to do around town? Not much really. This was kinda hard for Edward though. To talk to Rachel. She was no Bella Swan....Bella knew everything about him....Everything! And here Edward was, doing things all over again! He felt like a freshman that just started the school year....He felt slightly nervous still. But he was not gonna run away. He was trying to be nice...
"Sorry...Not a lot around town to do...."
Edward looked down at his shoes and then placed his hands back in his pockets...He did not want Rachel to find out what he was....Bella did and that was really tough for him at first. But after time passed, it was not so bad. He fell in love with Bella....His love for her was endless....He hopes it will remain that way. Edward was going to check on Bella as soon as he left the school....See how her illness was treating her....But now he might not be able to...Cause it was already past six....And Bella's father would most likely be there...So there would be no chance for Edward to see Bella....And Edward didn't wanna scare Bella out of her wits....When she was sick. By popping into her upper bed room window....

Rachel looked at edward and frowned as he seemed to be the type of guy that was shy wow he is so shy sort of timid....I think it's time i bring Edward out of his shell a little she thought to herself
"Sorry...Not a lot around town to do...."
Rachel smiled "that's ok how about this" she spoke she turned to the cd player and turned it back on and tried to pull Edward's hands out of his pocket "we will just have to make our own fun then Edward, come on we can dance & I wont take no for an answer" she spoke a little energetic she was mostly playful and listened as the music began to play. "Come on Edward every time a person frowns god kills a kitten" she spoke with a laugh.

Edward raised his eye brow. She thought he was shy? Well, he was. You didn't know much about a Cullen. They keep to themselves. "She wants to bring me out of my shell....? Won't she be surprised at what she discovers about me....That is if she is as smart as Bella..." He was not about to give her any clues....He knew the rules. They never let themselves known to humans. But if they found out on their own it was their fate to die. Edward couldn't put another person in the mix of this. He sighed as she tried to get him to dance and pull his hands out of his pockets. But he was strong enough to keep his hands in there safely. He was not wearing any gloves so she would right off the bat notice his ice cold hands. Which she could not feel.
"You really wanna dance with me? A Cullen?" He asked still hesitating....But Edward did smile then after what she said. He eventually pulled out his hands from his pockets. But wouldn't let her hold them. He just wrapped them around her waist then. And started to slowly dance with her. He was nervous. His lower torso pumped up and down....The light rain out side had stopped. And the sun was coming back out. There were the windows on the top of the building surrounding them...And sun would come in some times and cast shadows all over the gym....."Uh, I gotta go..." He at once let go of her waist and ran to the entrance of the gym and burst right through the huge doors.....He then ran at a jog down the hall way....That was close....Too close. But she would mostly wonder why he just left her like that...

The next day......
Edward arrived with his other brothers and sisters in a group as always. As they walked across the parking lot, he caught a glimpse of Rachel. But tried his best to ignore her. Bella was still not there today. She was still sick with the flu....He was worried about her. Maybe get Carlisle to take a look at her....But, Edward was a sweet heart, he had bought her a dozen red roses and some chocolates....To help her feel better....He hoped she felt better soon. Cause this not being with her at school was killing him.

Rachel looked at Edward and smiled she nodded her head after he spoke "You really wanna dance with me? A Cullen?" Rachel smiled seeing edward's crooked smile "see that much better, you just saved a kitten from getting smoten" Rachel watched Edward as he took his hands out of his pickets and wrapped them around her waist. she blushed a little before placing her hands on Efwards shoulders.
Rachel moved with Edward following his lead flawlessly, Edward was tense and she smiled "Edward try to relax, there is no need to be as stiff as a corpse... Listen to the music, and follow it...let it take you in." she spoke softly.
Rachel found herself enjoying this dance wow he is a lot better at dancing than finn, his posture is too straight, he needs to learn to relax. she thought to herself quietly
Rachel was shocked when she suddenly heard Edward ."Uh, I gotta go..." he suddenly let go of her waist and ran out Rachel pouted "awww ok" she grumbled and sighed.

The next day......
Rachel pouted as she walked around with Angela following her, she was soo chatty way more than her "uh huh" she spoke in response unenthusiasticly, Angela finally saw mike and ditched her leaving Rachel to smile, she looked and Saw a glimpse of Edward the shy boy. Rachel walked towards the gym thankful it was empty giving her a chance to practice, she pulled out her Ipod from her pocket and pulled out the headphones, and turned the piano music up full blast. Rachel listened to the music & began to sing, she closed her eyes and got lost in the music

Edward separated himself from his family and walked around the corner of the hall way right to where the gym was. He walked through those doors and saw Rachel all a lone as she was yesterday. He walked right up to her. Still having his hands in his jacket pockets.
"Rachel?" He asked a volume to where she could hear him over the music. And if that was not gonna get her attention, he tapped her shoulder slightly...And he was sure that would get her attention. How was he going to on about this? He wanted to be her friend. But he knew he couldn't. She would be safer that way.
"Rachel!" He said a bit louder now. As he waited for her to respond. He sorta screamed out her name then. But he had to talk to her and tell her that they shouldn't be friends...It was better this way. And she would be safe. This is what he was trying to tell Bella when he first met her. But she obviously pointed out that she was not buying any of it....Would Rachel be the same way?

Rachel continued to sing oblivious to the sounds of footsteps her eyes were closed as she sang, she felt something tap her on the shoulder and she jumped up suprised. Rachel opened her eyes and she pulled out the ear plugs of her Ipod her heart was pounding, she turned around to see Edward
Rachel smiled and looked at the Cullen, Well well well It's Mr Edward Cullen lets see how long he sticks around on me today she thought to her self Rachel raised an eyebrow and stepped close to Edward "Oh hello Edward, are you here to finish that dance you Owe me." she asked rather playfully. Rachel looked at Edward and tried to imitate the expression he had on his face the one where he constantly look constipated, "remember Edward everytime you frown god kills a kitten" she spoke turning her frown into a smile.
