Well well well It's Mr Edward Cullen lets see how long he sticks around on me today. Edward excused that comment he heard from her mind. "Oh hello Edward, are you here to finish that dance you Owe me." Edward gave a childish smile. That would be nice. But as long as Bella was his, there would be no more dancing unless it was with her. However he had to admit to himself when he left her that quickly yesterday, she was a darn good dancer....It was nice to be with a girl that new how to dance....For once. He had not danced liked that in quite a while. Even with Bella. She was not the greatest dancer. But he didn't care about that. He just loved Bella so much.
"Remember Edward every time you frown god kills a kitten"
Edward looked up at her and smiled to make her happy. But inside he wanted to say it and make it clear that they shouldn't be friends..."Look, I'm sorry I scared you yesterday. But...I...I can't be your friend any more. I hope you will forgive me for that. And just stay away from me." Was that harsh? Yes it was. But it was what Edward wanted to say. "Great....Now she's gonna hate me..."

Rachel looked at Edward and could see his beautiful smile, her smile grew wider ."Look, I'm sorry I scared you yesterday. But...I...I can't be your friend any more. I hope you will forgive me for that. And just stay away from me." Rachel raised an eyebrow as she heard Edward she walked close to him and grabbed his shoulders "Edward...dont say stupid things, you are much to smart to say stupid things like that, for the reccord I wasn't scared yesterday, i was just suprised you ran so fast...but I won't let you welch on my dance Mr Cullen, it's ungentleman like to leave during a dance" she spoke with a smile she seemed unaffected by what edward had said
Rachel kept her hands on Edwards shoulders and looked into those beautiful strange eyes of his poor edward something is really wrong for him to say such things, still I am not going to let him get out of this so easily I want to help him....he is a friend & a sweet guy She thought to herself, Rachel raised an eyebrow "well Mr Cullen where were we." she spoke playfully

Poor Edward something is really wrong for him to say such things, still I am not going to let him get out of this so easily I want to help him....he is a friend & a sweet guy

So she was not going to stop being his friend....Great. This was almost how it happened with Bella. But not dancing. Well if you include him saving her life from a mad van out of control....Maybe that won't happen with Rachel. Besides he knew she had some one. That Finn guy....But she did not seem to care about his being jealous. If Finn walked in, this would be an uneasy situation. But hopefully that would not happen.
"If you were smart....You'd stay away....." "Damn it...Edward....Stop repeating history...." But even Edward could not just push Rachel away now. She was sweet and funny. That was different. But that's it...There was nothing else. Edward could never come between some one who was in another relationship....
"Besides...I don't think Finn would like it if he saw us together and dancing...Don't you think?" He was trying his best to make it loud and clear that he was not looking for a relationship...."And I won't be unfaithful to Bella...." |

Rachel looked at edward and listened as he basicly called her stupid, Rachel put a hand on her hip "alright Edward I won't tollerate bing called stupid, in fact I think I may go find you're parents and tell them how rude you are behaving" she spoke in a playful tone. She did not want to antagonize Edward as he seemed emo enough as it was.
Rachel raised an eyebrow as she heard Edward speak "Besides...I don't think Finn would like it if he saw us together and dancing...Don't you think?" Rachel frowned well thats just dandy he knows about me being in new directions i was kind of getting used to being just me...and having fun, oh wellRachel smiled "Finn would be fine, because he knows it's just a dance and that I love him with all my heart....Edward if you think im crushing over you, you are sadly mistaken, Finn is my soul mate & this....us, we are just friends." she spoke to edward making her point of view clear.

Edward raised an eye brow at Rachel. Yeah he knew all along. He was just playing with her little game about not knowing....
"Stop lying in front of me....I've seen you before you came here to Forks High....You are indeed a singer. So don't play with me..." He said in the same tone she had done him....When she mentioned the fact that she might have to tell his parents on him was indeed a bit childish of her. But he let it slide....And so with that he walked a bit up to her again.....
"You thought I wanted to be with you that way? You're gravely mistaken...A friend ship is all I can give to you too...I don't want to hurt your relation with Finn. You guys are made for each other...So maybe we can be friends....My....mother tells me I need more friends...So...You're number one....That is if you still want to be friends..." He hoped she would say yes then. She said yes before....But now, would she? |

Rachel listened as Edward "You thought I wanted to be with you that way? You're gravely mistaken...A friend ship is all I can give to you too...I don't want to hurt your relation with Finn. You guys are made for each other...So maybe we can be friends....My....mother tells me I need more friends...So...You're number one....That is if you still want to be friends..." Rachel smiled and Rachel looked at Edward and tried to impersinate him If you were smart....You'd stay away....." Rachel stepped closer to Edward and messed up his already messed up bronze hair "Friendship is all I want Edward, it's all I can give you....Finn is the love of my life and only Finn...so let me ask you something Edward....why didnt you say anything yesterday if you knew who I was." she asked as she placed her hands on his shoulders "I still want that dance buster" she added in determined.

Edward smiled...She was spooked at the touch he was giving. Meaning, the ice cold hands...But when she messed his hair up some more...He smiled bigger showing his pearly whites. He was so glad they were friends....And that part was over with....Now he wasn't so nervous....And he would not do any thing to jeopardize her relationship with Finn....That guy might put up a good fight if that happened....And Edward already has Jacob doing that with him because of Bella....But, still Edward hated coming between a relationship.....Rachel was beginning to be like a little sister image to Edward....and he liked that....
"Uh, I just figured you wanted to keep that part of your life a secret....I can so understand that...So don't worry..." "I still want that dance buster"
Edward chuckled and nodded she was right....

Edward smiled....But then it faded when Rachel asked how he managed to keep Angela and the others off his back...
"I guess I'm not her type....." He chuckled at that thought...If that were the case he would be able to relax....But that was not the case. But while he was not realizing it, the sun casted it's rays on his arm slightly...Through the gym windows and a little sparkle took place just then. He has his sleeves rolled up. This is one reason he avoids the gym so much. It has the most sun shining through. He placed his hand on her shoulder and smiled but looked with wide eyes the minute he saw that little sparkle! And quickly took his hand away from her shoulder and wrapped his other hand around it...As he looked away from her quickly..."Damn it! Damn! Damn!" Was all he could sat to himself....His family would so not find out about Rachel now....This was the second human where it slipped and she would definitely see that sparkle on his arm....As Bella had described once as diamonds....But this was different....What to do? And on school grounds? |

Rachel chuckled as edward spoke "I guess I'm not her type....." She was glad Edward was loosening up she wanted him to be himself and to be happy he was a good guy & he deserved that.
Rachel felt Edwards cold touch as he touched her shoulder and she saw his arm sparkle, she was in awe of the beauty of how Edward's body was sparkling on direct contact. Rachel gasped "beautiful" she whispered. she could see the concerns on Edwards face, and a few moments later she heard foot steps. Rachel picked up her jacket from the ground and put it on edward "Edward I don't know what you are, but im pretty sure you dont want to get caught out, get out of here...meet me at my motel room tonight if you care to explain, ill hold off who ever is coming to buy you some time." Rachel made sure her jacket was covering his sparkling body and she ran out of the gym doors and saw Angela "ah hey angela just the girl I wanted to talk to, how about i give you some tips on bagging that mike guy...or maybe i could set you up on a date with Puck" Rachel spoke out her voice echoing as she guided angela away.

Latter that evening

Rachel sat on the bed of her motel room the sun was now setting and she yawned quietly, she could not get that image of edward out of her mind she wondered what happened to him to make him sparkle. Rachel opened up her laptop and saw photos of her and Finn saved together on her computer she sighed happily Miss you finny she thought to herself

"Beautiful" Even though she said that in a low tone, he heard her. And smiled slightly...So she was not scared of him...?
"Edward I don't know what you are, but im pretty sure you don't want to get caught out, get out of here...meet me at my motel room tonight if you care to explain, ill hold off who ever is coming to buy you some time."
Edward quickly dashed his head around and saw Angela coming towards the gym when he heard her voice....And felt the jacket slapped around him to hide his self from some one else he didn't want to know....And he nodded at what she said and quickly dashed away from her to the opposite exit of the gymnasium....He was gone before Rachel could even blink.....Walking quickly he headed for his Volvo across the parking lot....He just couldn't risk being seen again. He had to get away from school as he got in his car and turned the key and spun out of the parking lot.....He threw Rachel's jacket on the passenger side seat and sighed heavily to himself....

That night....He did as she wanted....When he pulled right up to her motel room he sighed and leaned his head on the seat and sat there for a second. Her light was on so she was still awake.....He the pulled the keys out of the ignition and got out of the car and walked right up to the door....And knocked softly....."Rachel....It's me...Edward...." He thought he'd let her know who it was so not to scare her.... |

Rachel waited quietly she wondered if Edward would ever arrive, would he tell her what he was, how he sparkled like a human diamond. she sighed quietly and started writing an email out to her friend Tina. A few moments later there was a knock at the door and rachel got up and went to the door she opened it and heard edward speak "Rachel....It's me...Edward...."Rachel unlocked the door and opened it she was in her night gown where it had a pink bunny in the middle of her night gown " come on in Edward" she spoke with a smile on her face.

"Come on in Edward" Edward did just that. And laid her jacket on the chair beside the small round table. He looked over at her. She must have a lot of questions now.
"I know you must have a many questions. About what you saw today. Just don't be scared of me. I'm a....." He trailed off. He wanted to tell her. But there was some thing keeping him from telling Rachel he was indeed a vampire. This was hard on him. Cause he cared about Rachel differently then he did Bella. Would Rachel believe him? Or would she just laugh at him?
He walked over to the window and saw that it's a full moon out tonight. "Before I tell you any thing, you have to promise to keep this a secret...You can not tell anyone. Not even Finn..." Edward had turned back to face her. His eyes were a calm golden brown. He didn't really wanna harm her either. He just knew deep down she was going to understand everything....Everything was going to be alright after Rachel knew....Then again maybe not. This is why Edward had strayed away from humans as friends....If any found out....It would be difficult later on for them to remain friends.... |

If she was paying closer attention to his eyes she would see the change in them....A darker red....He walked over to her and placed his hand on her cheek....So she could feel the cold as ice skin he has....
"You thought I was gay....well, darling I'm not..." He wanted to kill her the moment he met her.....But now, he didn't want that. She was just to beautiful to dispose of..."I don't know what else to do to make you believe me....."
