He nodded in between the kiss of what she told him through his mind. And kissed her back. He let go of the kiss just then. Only because he didn't want her to loose control and placed his hands gently on her shoulders and pushed her slightly away.
"Until you're ready. Remember?" He said low. But kind enough to not hurt her feelings. He knew she wanted him. He wants the same thing. But they just made a pact that they would not do that unless they were ready and he wanted her to be in control. And take advantage of him or any one else for that matter...."Babe, if you slip, I won't be jealous....Simply because I understand....You just really love it....But don't worry. If there comes a time when you do need to just let it go....Let it be me you lose control on....It's getting late....And everyone will be back soon...." He needed to spend time alone with his family is the reason why he was going on and letting her leave.....
"I'll ask them if you can stay here until you find a place of your own okay....And I'll call you tomorrow.....Although I don't want you to leave...." He didn't want her to leave and be all alone....Who knows what she can do when she is alone....Edward hoped she could hold her end of the bargain.... |

Brooke sighed as she was pushed away slightly and fake pouted. When she was told he wouldn't be jealous she was grateful, she would find her change to be difficult and she was happy to know he wouldn't be mad if she did. "I can behave myself, or I at least can try to." she told him softly, "And I don't want to lose control on you... Doing that will happen when I am in control and you are ready..." she finished and she slowly stood up.
"I'll avoid the city, and pretty much men in general." She told him with a reassuring smile, "I'm not going to ruin this already." she promised as she took his hand to pull him up to join her. Her arms wrapped around his chest and hugged him. "Good bye Edward." She whispered before kissing his cheek and in a flash she was gone from his room. Her car was heard in that instant as it roared away from the Cullen home.

Edward smiled as she kissed him one last time before she left. He didn't want her to leave. He would feel better knowing where she was at all times. So she wouldn't slip. But that was not the case. He didn't do Bella that way. He wouldn't do Brooke that way either. She truly did excite his nerves from the moment she said hi ti him. This was on a whole new level with Edward. But he didn't care. He was so much more happier now........

The next day.....
Edward was happier now. His family said yes that Brooke could indeed stay there with him until she found a place. But he knew he would have to call Bella and warn her about the new member of the house hold. To let her know that when ever she decided to come over for a visit, that she would not be surprised with Brooke being here....Edward scrolled down on his IPhone and saw Bella's name in his contacts. And pushed the call button....
He waited a minute and the it picked up....But it was not Bella...It was her father...."Officer Swan....Is Bella there?" 'She's with Jacob today Edward....' And Bella's father hung up the phone just like that....Edward slammed his cell on the table beside him...After he hung up! Anger filled his eyes. Again! She was with Jacob again?! How many times can she hang out with the mutt before she actually falls in love with him?
Edward looked down at the floor....He was in his bed room when this took place so no family members were near....He at once sped down stairs and out the door and got in his car and slammed the door....And spun out of the drive way! And headed into town...It was night time too....So it was safe for him to be out....But what he was about to do was unthinkable. He wanted to hurt some one....Any one.....Til they cried. Or worse.....He was letting that anger side out now....As he gripped the steering wheel of his car and stared right ahead of him....
He parks his car on a bad part of town.....There were people here that didn't deserve to live on....Edward got out of his car and stalked a few people until he found his victim....She was perfect....Yes a woman.....That was living the life of a stripper....It was sad really and disgusting to Edward. As he saw her walk alone.....He stalked after her....And when she was all alone he made his move on her....And grabbed her quickly into a dark alley...As he grabbed her by the neck...She tried to scream....But when she saw his black eyes she was frozen with fear. Edward was doing some thing he never wanted to happen....To become that very monster he hates so much! All because of his stupid emotions for Bella! Edward slapped the girl then down on the ground. She screamed out finally....But Edward bent down and covered her mouth up and beat her up....Til she was crying....
But some thing stopped him the minute he saw the girl's tears in her eyes.....She was pleading to live....So this soulless creature that showed off her body to complete strangers did have feelings? Yes of course she did....Any human has these things....With a trembling hand Edward reached into his pocket and pulled out his cell phone and speed dialed Brooke's number....He didn't think he would need it this soon...He placed the cell on the ground as he activated the speaker phone....."Pick up...." He said to himself as he looked at the frightened girl....He wanted to drink her blood so badly....But some thing or some one was stopping him.....Was it Bella? Was it Brooke? It was Brooke....It has to be her.....Bella doesn't care about him any more.... |

Brooke had been out in a club talking to some guy and was about to call Edward when suddenly her phone began to ring. She checked it and saw it was Edward and smiled lightly, excusing herself from the club she was in. She soon remembered why he was supposed to call her and she was worried. she answered it immediately.
"Edward? Is something wrong?" Brooke asked. In an instant trees were heard whizzing past her before she came to a halt. "Where are you Edward?" She asked, she had reached the empty Cullen home and was worried. She smelled his most recent trail and was after it in a flash, "Talk to me. What is happening?" she said quickly as she followed his trail.

The girl heard the other woman's voice over the speaker phone as her eyes glanced over at the cell next to her. Brooke would most likely be able to hear the girls whimpering....Edward looked at the girl in her eyes....
"Um....Port Angeles....The dark side of town....Some where near, Northern Street....I think....I'm gonna kill her...." Brooke would know at once what he means by kill her....And couldn't take place....Edward was at the point though of not listening to any one and just let his vampire side take over. And finish the job.
"I swear to god....I'll kill her!" Edward's eyes were indeed pitch black. As he looked at the girl...As he started to lower his head towards her neck....She muffled a scream out loudly even though Edward was muffling his hand over her mouth...."I'm....sorry...." He turned the cell off then..... |

"Edward!" Brooke shouted, but it was too late. She dropped her phone, it no longer mattered to her. Only Edward did. She reached where Edward was and looked down the street at him. She was then behind him in a flash, "Please let her go... You don't want to do this... I know you don't..."
She was worried, not for the human so much as for Edward. "Stop... for whatever reason you are doing this please stop..." she begged him, "I am here for you, even when things are like this... I am here."

"Please let her go... You don't want to do this... I know you don't..." Edward simply shook his head the minute she said that....."Just one taste...." He didn't want to stop....
"Stop... for whatever reason you are doing this please stop..."
Edward then looked at the girl again....She was more than terrified. He released his hand from her mouth then....
"I am here for you, even when things are like this... I am here..." It took a lot to make him stop. He didn't care about the human. All he wanted was that blood in her veins...But then released his whole body off the girl. And the scared and terrified girl dashed away from the crazy people...."Fuck you!" She shouted back and ran away.....
Edward at once fell on his side and curled up in a little ball....All he could think about was what Bella's father told him....
"He said.....she was with Jacob....She was with Jacob..." And Brooke would know that this was why he had broke like he had.... |

Brooke sat beside him silently, her fingers swept through his hair slowly, "It's okay... It could have meant anything... They are just friends..." she tried to convince him, her mind played the same thoughts as well. "You can do this... If you want her than go and get her." Saying those words hurt, "Just go out and get what you want because no one is going to give it to you."
Her voice was soft as she spoke, surprisingly even despite how she felt, "Something I learned about 63 years ago." She told him. Her finger stroked through his hair gently as she comforted him.

Edward felt Brooke rub her fingers through his hair as he was still laying there on the cold, wet ground. Edward just shook his head. "I can't....I don't want to go and find out the truth she has already picked him. I couldn't handle that rejection. There's nothing to live for any more. I might as well, let the wolves kill me and be done with it. I'm sure Jacob has ordered them to attack me on the spot any way...." Here we go....He was wallowing. But he had a good reason to wallow. The girl of his dreams was out with another man. He loves Brooke. But not the way he loves Bella. Brooke was right. He could love some one else. But no one compared to Bella. Edward was just scared to go after her. Funny him being a vampire and here he was scared of a human!
Edward finally got himself off the ground. But he couldn't look at Brooke in her eyes. He was so ashamed of what he was about to do. He was about to turn into some thing he didn't want to be. A killer. He even told Bella that once, that he was a killer. But she didn't believe him. And if she saw him right now, she would want to help him. He knew Bella. That was just how she was. She would still not be afraid of him....Edward pressed his palms on the cold ground and breathed heavily....Even though he was not really breathing. He almost hurt some one....He did hurt some one....He almost killed....Esme and Carlisle would not like this....
"Please.....I....I can't go home right now. They will know the minute they saw me that there was some thing wrong....Let me stay with you tonight....Please..." He finally had enough courage to look Brooke in the eyes....His eyes were a soft red color not pitch black any more....He laid his head on her chest....And just sat there....He really needed her tonight...And hoped that she would do this for him....If she said no, he would not like that....Not at all. He would most likely kill next time.... |

Brooke's fingers continued to stroke through his hair softly. She was afraid for him now, he had nearly killed a human and she knew he might do it again if given the chance. She sighed lightly, it was a sad sigh, "Of course you can stay with me tonight, you don't have to go back home until you are ready." she told him softly.
"Come one... Let's get back to your car... I'll bring you back to my hotel for the night..." She told him but she made no motion to move, 'We can stay here if you want.' she thought quickly.

Edward looked up at her. He couldn't be around humans right now. He just knew that was a bad idea. Being around humans made him want human blood. And that wasn't good. She was so good to him right now. How was he ever going to pay Brooke back for her generosity? There would be a time where she would need him. He just felt it was going to happen. Then again he might be fooled with that. She seemed different now. A lot more different than what she was when he first met her.
Edward grabbed on to her as Brooke helped him to his feet. His clothes were a bit dirty from the pavement. But at this point no one would care about that. Edward shook his head no. They needed to get out of there as he walked to his car....But he was not able to drive. His emotions made him to the point to where he was shaking.
"Keys....in left pocket...." He was shaking to where his voice was trembling...As he tried to tell her that he was not able to drive and that she would have to fill in on that part for now. All he could think about was Bella. What was she doing with Jacob now. He then remembered that night they shared together a few weeks ago. She was angry at him....But then again who could blame her...? He was the one that left after all. All this going in his mind right now as he was trying to stay sane long enough to get out the city. |

Brooke grabbed the keys out of his pocket and in a flash had found his car. After unlocking it she placed him in the passenger side and before one could blink she was in the drivers side. "We'll be out of here in no time." she said and the car started and raced away from the city. She had the perfect place to bring him, a small cabin she had found while hunting one day. It was away from any human scent and he could stay there until he was better.
"Talk to me..." She pleaded with him, "It will be okay, just talk to me." she begged as she drove through the city, not paying any attention to road signs, she knew the area perfectly from her trips to clubs in the area, and her vampire like senses told her when someone was close.

"We'll be out of here in no time." Before he knew it, he was placed in the passenger side as he just sat there leaning his head against the back of the seat and looking out the passenger window....They were driving extremely fast. Much faster than he drove actually. But he didn't care. The faster, the better.....He wanted to get out of the city so badly!
"Talk to me..." "It will be okay, just talk to me." She didn't give him a topic to talk about...So he started to quote things from Romeo and Juliet....."Did my heart love till now? He was indeed loosing it....And Brooke had better hope that she gets him as far away from humans as possible. This meant he could not even talk to Bella. He was so scared for her. Where she was, was where she was safe for now. Far away from him.
He placed a finger on the window. And rubbed his finger down the glass....He was like in his own little world right now. Right now he didn't give a damn if he lived or died....But Brooke would not let that happen....He knew she wouldn't just let him kill himself.... |

Brooke bit her lip, she knew Romeo and Juliet very well, she could quote it in a heartbeat but him choosing that play in particular to quote unnerved her. It took her entire being not to use her gift to attract him to her, he needed his mind off of Bella and that was the only way she could think of, but she had promised him she wouldn't and she kept driving on silently.
She soon halted on a dirt road, far from the town of Forks. She turned the car off and was taking him out of his seat in no time at all. "Trust me. You won't be able to do anything here." She told him and she dashed into the forest, still holding him against her side.
After a few minutes of silence she finally reached her point. No human scents were around here, this place had long since been abandoned. Brooke opened up the door and walked inside, setting Edward down on the couch with no effort. "Better?" she asked him.

Edward smelled no more human blood. And that helped a lot as he was taken out of his car. Where were they? In the woods he knew that much as she took him out of his car he could hear the trees blowing....He sighed....And was relived he was no longer among the living.... She did the right thing. Bringing him here. He thought they were just going to stay in the woods for the night and head back to his home when he was ready. But no that was not the case at all. She had found an old cabin deep in the woods....
Edward sat down in the chair. "Better?" He nodded at her question with out looking up at her. He just rubbed his hand through his thick, messy hair and just sat there....He was in no mood for a light conversation. Bella never left his mind how ever. Her smile was so warm and inviting as he saw her in his mind. Her hair was blowing in the wind. What was this? Was she trying to invite him back into her life....? Or was she saying good bye the best way she knew how? Edward hoped that was not it. Why was he so consumed for Bella now more than ever...? He wanted to hold her in his arms so badly his own body ached for her presence....But Bella would not know where he was. And that was not gonna happen now. Brooke would not allow her near Edward with the condition he was in right now....
