Saturday; a day that was the start of the weekend, the best day of the two free days in the school year. Saturday morning was supposed to be the day to sleep in and watch cartoons for at least two hours after getting out of bed. Skye wasn’t exactly a trend follower when it came to spending her time. She would much rather take a walk at seven thirty am on a weekend morning. She didn’t want her life to take place inside the house. She had fifteen years of that when she lived with her mom; her crazy, psychopath of a mother who would drug her own child for amusement and Skye had the scars to prove it.
Living with her father here in LaPush was like a whole new world now that he let her roam around freely. Sure her dad could be overprotective and a little crazy at times but he had his daughter’s best interest at heart. That was all that really mattered, right?
It was seven thirty in the morning, colder than usual with a mist in the air, and slightly foggy. This was not the kind of weather Skye got out of bed hoping for, but it would sure do. She pulled on her olive green sweat pants, white tank top, and gray, zip up hoodie with the hood up. Her hair was pulled into two neat French braids as usual, and she wore the white tennis shoes she used when practicing her tumbling.
She made her way out of the house and to one of the places she was familiar with on the reservation. It was here where she saw people jumping from the tall rocks, no cliffs, into the ocean. How do they do that? Who would possibly be crazy enough to even consider it? She held a conversation with herself as she walked up the giant rocks. Her fear of heights was nonexistent, but she still considered herself smart enough not to literally jump off a cliff. What was safe about that?
She came to the top of the landform and looked down off the top. It was high, and this wasn’t even the highest point. There was one point above where she was that was even higher. She walked to the edge without hesitation and looked over the side. Whoa this is high. She mentally concluded as she took a step back.
Skye quickly untied her shoes and took them off along with her socks and set them on the ground. She made her way back to the edge and sat with her legs hanging over the side of the cliff. She kicked absentmindedly at the air and let her mind enter a state of blankness. I bet this would be really fun to jump off of. She always wanted to try but her dad would never let her. What he didn’t know wouldn’t hurt him though.

He had recently moved here as well and he knew his business wasn't doing so bad, he had it in Port Angeles, Washington. He knew there was a lot of people that went there daily and he had a lot of customers and they had admired him for all the business he was getting and he was glad he was living a good life. He once had that shop opened in London with his father, now he had one in Port Angeles on his own, he was making money left and right from both stores in two different parts of the world. He was happy that he was making business here and there, at least he knew he would have money good money. His parents always had amazing jobs, being a doctor and a famous lawyer was one thing and his father still owning the business his grandfather use to have, everything was cutting out for Fox and everything seemed so simple now he just couldn't even believe it himself. He inhaled deeply as he walked along the path with a white tank top and some shorts with a pair of his favorite converse. He found it that it was much more simple to dress in loose clothing. As he walked he could hear a heartbeat from a few feet away, with all the thoughts in his head he must have just brushed it off.
As he walked closer he began to hear the heartbeat louder and when he inhaled he could smell that it was human and that it was a young girl. He smiled to himself, maybe it wouldn't be a bad idea if he introduced himself to someone new for a change. He knew maybe it was time to make a change in his life and find someone that was worth talking to here in La push, maybe find someone worth his time. Slowly he made his way and he noticed how high up it was and he wondered why this human girl was all the way up here alone and just at the top of this cliff. He then came past a bush and noticed a very pretty girl standing there looking down the cliff, he wondered what the heck she was doing if she was just insane or if she was curious, he wondered if he should read her emotions just to see what was up with her but he felt like he would be invading something of hers. He stepped towards the girl but stood right beside her and looked at her trying to figure out what she wanted to do then he looked out and down the cliff and his eyes widen, now that was something he would do himself because he loves highs and danger all rolled into one, then he turned to look at the girl again.
“Long way down. Looks like fun but dangerous. My kind of style, but I wouldn't want someone like you to get hurt, those rocks are pretty sharp down there, but there is a spot where there aren't any rocks.
He was trying to be kind and nice, even though he was usually the funny kind of guy, he wanted to just be nice to the girl, he had never seen her around and he wondered why not, he had been here a few days and just moved into the biggest house on the reservation, he wondered if maybe he had ran into her but didn't know it or something. It was always possible but he wanted to know who she was and why she was here alone and not out with friends or anything. He always respected women and was always a gentleman with them, sure that's why they liked him a lot but here he didn't have all the women, it seemed as though everyone liked to settle down with one another. He didn't have a problem with it at all. He then looked off the cliff trying to read her emotions and he closed his eyes but he all he got was curiosity, maybe about the cliff he hoped.

She let her legs swing back and forth; her eyes were focused down at the waves lapping the rocks below. Her small hands, half covered by grey sweatshirt, gripped the side of the ledge as if that’s how she would save herself if she fell. Let’s face it, if Skye was to fall off of this ledge from where she was her chances of coming back unharmed were slim. I bet if I had a running start I’d be fine to jump. Her mind balanced the good and bad things that could come from jumping off a cliff, so far bad had more on its list. There was the possibility of not being able to swim back because of the current, hitting a rock, not jumping far enough and hitting a bunch of rocks, and, of course, drowning and death. The last two were the only things that kept her on the ledge and not in the water.
Without warning Skye pushed herself back and brought her legs to land before standing up not even a foot from the ledge. A part of her told her to jump, the other part was screaming NO! If you jump you will DIE! Don’t do this to yourself. Your dad would be crushed if he lost you and it wouldn’t be an accident, it would be your fault. Her mind continued to talk her out of the crazy plan to jump. ”I just want to see how high it would be if I jumped. I’m not scared. I’m gunna do it.” She found herself whispering to the voice inside her that gave reason after reason not to jump. This is stupid.
She ignored the self battle. Her mind was made up now. She was going to jump… eventually. For a while she stood there, staring down at the water wondering how on earth to do something like this.
“Long way down. Looks like fun but dangerous. My kind of style, but I wouldn't want someone like you to get hurt, those rocks are pretty sharp down there, but there is a spot where there aren't any rocks.”
This voice wasn’t coming from inside her head, it was coming from the guy next to her. Wait, the guy next to her? She ignored the fact that she knew nothing about this guy and didn’t even realize he was beside her.
When he spoke it took her by a bit of a surprise causing her to jump a little. She was just startled, but pulled herself together seconds after. She nodded agreeing with the whole ‘long way down’ part. It was no doubt a long way down. She had been staring at it for about twenty minutes now.
She listened to what he had to say and shoved her hand in her pockets and shrugged without looking up. She could tell just from his presence that he was taller than her, it wasn’t a tough thing to sense, pretty basic. When she was about to talk she turned her head and looked up for a moment and stepped back.
”What if it’s my kind of style too?” She asked, her tone was soft, no sign of any rudeness or even harshness at that. It was almost childish. She tilted her head to the side, looking up at him waiting for the answer. It would take some pretty good answers to change her mind after she was so sure of herself.

He noticed that the girl wanted to jump, for the rush and the thrills. He liked that feeling but he would heal automatically once he shifted in his wolf form he knew that he would be healed which was weird how that happen, If one of his forms were damaged, lets say he was fighting and he got a deep gash on his forehead in his human form, all he had to do was shift into his wolf form so that his human form could recover and heal while he was a wolf. He knew it was all fun and games with that if he was hurt all he had to do was go into his other form, it was no big issue but sometimes when he had broken a bone or something it would take longer to heal because bones were the same and they would be broken none the less. Only minor healing with heal fast, broken bones took about a day or so on to heal.
But if the girl did jump and fall she could really hurt herself and he didn't want to see that happen. He didn't like seeing girls hurt it wasn't something he was fond of. He knew he would have to try and jump with her before she would fall and hit a rock, at least when he would hit a rock, he knew he would get bad bruises, never a broken bone, for him to break a bone would take a lot more strength than just hitting down on a rock. He was a werewolf after all, he wouldn't get hurt so easily. But he didn't want the girl to get hurt, if she knew the rocks down there, if she knew how sharp they were he knew she maybe wouldn't have jump. The least he could do is offer to go with her so at least she wouldn't die and he would just get hurt if he did so happen to land on the rock.
"At least let me come with you if you are going."
He noticed the waves crashing down on the sharp rocks when he had looked down. He could hear how loud it was and how hard it was hitting against it. He closed his eyes and he could see what would happen if she did jump, how her fragile bones would crack or her neck would twist. He didn't like seeing that and he hated when he couldn't be able to protect someone when he knew he could have. The least he could do was try and protect her from having some surgeries or broken bones. He then looked at her and still hearing the waves hit against the rocks were making the hair on his arms stand up as he could imagine how much pain that would be for a regular human to fall upon and break some bones. That would be something he didn't want someone to experience.
Even though he just met the girl and she was awfully pretty, he didn't want to see her die or much worse. He thought she had a family or someone to come home to at least. Fox used to have family until they died in what seemed like a normal accident. He didn't believe it was just a normal accident. When he was on the scene where his parents died he could smell a scent of a vampire here and there, he knew his parents didn't just die from a car accident, they were looking for him and he knew that wasn't right, they went after his parents instead of getting him and he didn't like that one bit. He didn't want another family to go through the horrors of losing someone else and then having to bury them in the ground or something, that was too hard to even bare for himself.

She took her hands out of her pockets and pulled her sleeves a little further over her hands as she crossed her arms. It wasn’t that cold out at all but Skye was the kind of person who was always shivering. A thyroid problem maybe but it never affected her enough to say anything about it.
Her head was now turned back to the edge and she took a small step to where she had originally started the conversation. She found herself biting her lip as she watched the water hit the rocks that this stranger made sound like a death trap. Then again he was right; jumping off a cliff is like practically killing yourself. Maybe I won’t jump? No no, I want this. Oh but then again there are a lot of rocks. Her mind went back and forth telling her to jump one minute and not to the next.
"At least let me come with you if you are going."
Skye looked up at the guy standing beside her with the most surprised expression on her face. ”Really?” She asked, obviously unsure of herself now. A minute ago she decided she was going to jump and now she was about to chicken out. He must have been insane if he was really going to let her jump off a cliff with him.
”Are you like serious?” This time she sounded normal, like jumping off of this cliff was something people talked about in everyday conversation. This was how she normally spoke; like she’s known someone for years. This guy for example, she didn’t even know his name and they were having a non-awkward conversation – hell he even offered to jump into the ocean from god knows how high with her.
Skye knew that her father would never approve of something like this. He would be horrified to know that she was even sitting so close to the ledge. She wondered if she would get in less trouble if she jumped with someone rather than alone, that is, if he ever found out. He wasn’t going to find out, she was sure of it.

He knew that she wanted to jump, his senses was telling him thats what she was feeling but he also sensed a struggle between what she wanted and he knew how that went. He jumped off here a couple of times only because he saw the other wolves doing it and thought it was cool. Even though he healed faster it had hurt a lot but being Fox he enjoyed the danger and faced it head on at times. He knew that sometimes he was just going to kill himself one day over something stupid and he knew sooner or later it was going to happen. He always got into trouble one way or another and he knew eventually he would.
His parents always used to complain about the things he did, all the wild parties and things he had thrown over the house or all the drinking he had spent doing. They didn't like it what they did like was when he finally blew up one day and was a werewolf. He knew that it was important that he was one but he also knew that it wasn't easy being one. He almost got caught a few times being a werewolf and he knew it was not as easy when it came to it. He knew his parents cared and especially when he became a werewolf it made things easier for them because then he wouldn't party so much. Figures, every parent's dream was to have a werewolf.
He inhaled deeply as he watched the waves below, he really didn't feel like jumping but he knew he might have to for the girl's sake. He always liked saving people it was something he was good at, honestly, he was better at that better than his own business that he opened up in Port Angeles, which was quite entertaining from time to time when you saw him handling the money and checkbooks, he really wasn't that kind of guy that liked to just do all that kind of stuff, he was better at being a wolf. He then thought what the hell, he should just start taking off his clothes just in case. He took off his shoes and then slid his tank top off and place them by her shoes then looked at her as his chest was now bare. He had a good six pack on him, every werewolf was well in shaped of course. He also worked out from time to time to keep his strength up, even though some of his wolf came out like the strength, senses, and such, he knew he still wanted a good body.

Just do it! She mentally yelled at herself , it was good to push back fear and doubt, right? Wasn’t that supposed to make you a better person, or at least an emotionally stronger person? Not that Skye really cared about any of that stuff, all she wanted was to jump off of a cliff. It sounded stupid, dumb, naïve, reckless, and totally up her ally. This was the kind of thing she did, it was in her nature to do the opposite of what she was told even if the person telling her was herself. Of course there are occasions where she takes a bit of advice from someone or follows her instinct, but it’s rare.
She was looking down again, her eyes wide with wonder of what it was actually like to jump. It couldn’t be that bad if this guy was willing to do it too. She figured if it was that dangerous he wouldn’t jump, he looked old enough to have common sense. Then again Skye should be old enough for common sense but it was lacking a little bit.
She inhaled deeply and felt like she held it forever. She stepped back from the ledge and looked to where the nameless person had been standing beside her. She turned her head noticing that he was taking off his shoes and shirt. When he stood back in front of her it took a second to get back to reality. Okayyyy. She told herself. Skye wasn’t blind and, yes, she is attracted to guys. This guy was pretty… well pretty.
"I'm dead serious."
She looked up at him and nodded once as she took her hands out of her pockets. ”Alright, guess we’re doing this.” Her eyes went down to the zipper on her baggy grey sweatshirt. She quickly unzipped it and threw it over to the pile of shoes and extras. Well Skye, it’s a good thing you wore your bathing suit under this. Her mind became positive again, like it usually was.
”Okay.” She said putting her hands on her hips. This was it, only a little longer to turn back. She didn’t want to turn back, she wanted to do this.

Fox knew he can do this and he hoped that she was just as ready,he could sense that she was nervous, everyone was when it was there first time jumping off the cliff and into the water. He knew he was but then again in London he would jump off buildings for crying out loud, that sometimes wasn't as safe as he thought it would be, but he always made it out alright when he would jump off the building, the only difference was, the buildings didn't have a sharp end when you jumped off them and against the ground. He inhaled deeply and moved to the edge then reached to take her hand gently as he looked at her.
He wondered if she was really ready to do this and if anything he would would her hand and if he could sense danger, he knew he would have to defend her and catch catch her before she would hit one of the rocks. He was always careful when it came to doing these things and he knew he had to watch out before anything bad would happen to her. For some reason he wouldn't be able to live with himself if he just let her jump off and hurt herself if she landed on a rock, he knew he would have to take the fall for her and land on it, which is why he was holding her hand so that he could break her fall and let him land on the rock before she did.
"Whenever your ready. Just push and I'll go with."
He spoke to her gently as he stared at her, not looking into her eyes but just at her. She was pretty and he wouldn't deny it but of course he didn't want something to happen to her face or get blamed for something. He knew he would have to defend her somehow someway. He inhaled deeply then looked down noticing the waves dying down a bit. He knew now was the perfect chance to jump off if she wanted to. It was now or never but it was all her choice, if she wanted to jump, he'll go down with her to save her from any danger below but if she backed off, he would feel much better about this. He wasn't scared about jumping, he was worried that she was going to get hurt.

"Whenever you’re ready. Just push and I'll go with."
Her hand was in his and for some reason that helped calm her down. Maybe it was because there was someone to pull her up if she was drowning, or someone to swim back to shore with, all considering he wasn’t dead. She felt like this stranger being here was going to make this whole cliff diving thing sort of worth it, like he was going to make sure she lived to tell the tale. She didn’t look at him when he spoke, she nodded half heartedly laugh. ”Thanks.” Her voice was quiet; she was just focused on jump or no jump. She looked down one more time, probably not a smart idea. Her mind was screaming not to jump but in the back of her mind she wanted to, and nothing she said to herself was going to stop her now.
She took a deep breath, rocked back, and jumped off the ledge. Most normal people would shut their eyes after deciding to jump, then again most normal people wouldn’t have jumped in the first place. Skye’s eyes were open, tears were forming from the wind and as she was falling she was clutching the strangers hand not even realizing she was doing it.
Her hair that was in two French braids were flying behind her. Her army green sweat pants clung to the top of her legs and flapped at the bottom while her tank top clung to her skin just as it did on land.
The water was coming closer and closer. Her mind was in overload and the last thing she could remember from the experience was hitting the water with so much force she blacked out for a second or two and coming up to the surface coughing.

He knew he would have to jump with this girl and this was the moment he had to. He inhaled deeply and when she had pushed off, he went with her and had his eyes opened as he looked down. He knew he would have to be careful with the girl to make sure she wouldn't hit the water and land on a rock. He knew he would have to watch out and as he got closer to the water, he knew danger was coming soon. He inhaled deeply and he knew he would have to push her away if she was getting closer to the rocks, he noticed that the rocks were coming closer and then he pushed her away from the rocks and he landed on it, He cried as his bones cracked hard then he fell into the water. For the moment he was under and he couldn't see anything. He knew he would have to reach the surface no matter now hard it was, he knew his bones would heal in a matter of minutes.
He swam as hard as he could, he could feel that his ribs were cracked but he knew he had to reach the top, slowly but surely he did and he surfaced. He looked around and swam slowly around trying to find the girl and he noticed her than swam to her when he could hear her heart beat and then took her hand with a soft smile. He could feel his bones crack into place and he shivered when he felt it. He sometimes hated his ability to heal so quickly but this time he knew he had done something right. He knew he would have to lead her to shore so that she could get dried off. He looked into her eyes and he noticed that she was alright. He stared at her for a moment then looked away and around trying to find the shoreline, once he did he let her hand go.
"Follow me" [/b][/blockquote][/font] ooc- I hope that was okay! I was thinking that maybe she had heard his bones crack or something and when she realizes that nothing is broken, she would try to find out why or something just to make it interesting!

He knew he would have to swim to shore and fast before she could reach it so he could get his shirt and place it on. He knew the bruising would be awful and if he didn't have his shirt on while it was healing slowly and she noticed it disappear he knew that would have been a huge issue and he would have to run off and disappear before she started asking questions about him and he knew he would have to run off somewhere before she did try to find him and that would be awful. He inhaled deeply and swam as fast as he could but he noticed he wasn't that quick of a swimmer even if he was usually faster on his feet, just not with swimming. He used to do track at school and he was pretty fast on his feet but when it came to the water he noticed his feet didn't help him at the moment, taking steps and kicking were different things.
He reached the shore and quickly moved out of the water and looked down. He gave a surprised looked, the bruise was big with a mixture of colors of purple black and blue. He knew he couldn't hide this and he knew he would have to get his shirt, but what could a white could hide? At least it would make things much easier for him to control if he just hide it or tired it. Slowly he ran up the cliff to get his shirt and shoes and also the girl's things, then placed his shirt back on and ran down the shoreline in a matter of minutes. He walked back to where she was at and noticed she was out of the water, he held her things out and then he froze when he heard her question. He knew he would have to shut up and say nothing about what he was, but how could he avoid what she heard? He inhaled deeply then looked into her eyes again and then lowered them for the moment. He had to lie and he knew he wasn't going to get away from it. He knew if he told the true that he wouldn't hear the end of it and most importantly he would bring her in danger and that's something he couldn't do.
"I have no idea what you're talking about. I'm alright."

He noticed how much she was trying to get the answer from him and he sighed deeply. Great, he knew he shouldn't have jumped off the stupid thing, he knew he would have been in trouble and he knew he could have dragged himself this far down. He didn't he just stay underwater and pretend the current took him or something? But no, he had to make sure she was alright because that's what he was born to do. He was born to protect and serve humans until the day he died. He wondered how he even dragged himself in this predicament, but he knew he was draw to her somehow, maybe it was because she was beautiful in his eyes and he didn't want to see her die over some stupid rocks from the impact. He had seen too many things in his life, he didn't want to see her go down and her life end so quickly. She was young and she had a full life ahead of her. He knew he made the right choice for jumping, but not to cover his tracks up.
He sighed after he watched her take her things in her hand and he slid his hands down his pockets, he knew he had to keep his eyes on her and he hated the fact that he felt like he had to protect her, he didn't know what the feeling was all about but all he felt like he had to do was to protect her. He didn't like the overcoming feeling, it got annoying sometimes because he knew he had things to do but he knew he had to follow them if not they stayed there annoying him until he fulfilled what he was suppose to do and this feeling said he had to protect her. He sighed and looked down. He knew he would have to keep making excuses and lies and he hated it pretty much, but he couldn't let her know his world existed, it would bring so much harm to her, he just couldn't. He knew he couldn't allow that and he would have to just let it slide with excuses and lies.
"I'm a remarkable healer."
That brought a grin to his face.
