It was weekend and Carly managed to survive a week in school. It wasn't bad, as she expected it to be. It wasn't so good either, in case of an odd guy she bumped into named Edward Cullen. The week wasn't so bad at all and she hoped it would be better next time. She managed to keep up with all the lectures and even plans to get few advance subjects. That's probably the advantage of being excellent in academics even though others would see it as nerdy or geeky.
She prepared everything the night before and geared up for day hiking. Carly wanted to see what's in Forks forest that other cities doesn't have. She checked her right pocket to double check if she had her compass with her. Handheld GPS maybe very useful but nothing beats something that does not require any battery or power supply especially in a place like forest.
On her left pocket, she reached down her cellphone to see if she still have reception, in case she would need help, which she hope not, despite of a fair warning from a new friend, she still jumped into the unknown forest not knowing what danger lies ahead. Being an adventurer herself she can't say no in a place like this, unlike in other cities, the heat in Forks is rarely seen and since it's not raining, it's a perfect weather to hike.
She was deep in meadow when she dropped her bag and decided to take some pictures with her camera so she can send some to her Aunt Meg. Carly can see her flipping once she knows she's back on spelunking again.
Forks is such a beauty. Everything looked fresh. The air, the grass, the trees. It's a perfect getaway for a hiker like her. She decided she'll go farther to get a better view later.

`` Keisha wandered around her old house restlessly. Fortunately it was still boarded up and unoccupied and hadn’t been looted by anyone. Least they’d done a bang-up job of closing shop before they had left so many years ago. She was on edge though. Being in the confined space bugged her still, it was only her first week back in her home after all. Pete had taken back to the normal life right away; he was asleep upstairs in his old room. Keisha however, wasn’t that lucky. She was used to moving at night, sleeping during the day. And it bugged her not being under the sky. Groaning in frustration she threw her fist into the wall, making it rattle from the force of impact. Pulling her hand back and shaking it out, she was almost surprised to find that there wasn’t a dent. Then again the house was built by her father. Pulling in a deep breath, Keisha darted up the stairs, moving quickly so the floorboards wouldn’t squeak… much anyway.
`` Ducking into her bedroom, she pulled out one of her numerous black tank tops, and her baggier black jeans. She quickly stripped off her PJ’s and shimmied into her clean cloths, moving as quickly and silently as she could, so she wouldn’t wake up Pete. Finishing up by pulling her hair into a sloppy bun, she moved out of her room, glancing to her right at the closed door. It hadn’t been opened in years, and even now, she still didn’t dare. Tearing her eyes from it, she glided down the stairs and out the front door, grabbing the thick twine off the door handle and leaving her black Vans where they had been tossed by the door. Pete wouldn’t be up until afternoon anyway, so she had time to kill as she wandered out onto the old wooden porch and down the steps onto the lawn, barefoot and loving the feel of the soft rain sprinkled earth. She dashed into the woods, making sure she was covered enough before slipping out of her cloths and tying them around her ankle.
`` Her sleek black and white wolf frame was really no bigger than a dog’s. She had no idea, but she was pretty sure she held the record for smallest wolf around. She didn’t care. It made her quick and light on her feet, perfect distraction material. Keisha bounded off into the forest, heading over the same trails she remembered from so long ago. The rain didn’t bother her a bit, even as it pelted her face the faster she moved. Finally, after winding around trees and over bushes and roots, she slowed to a slow a leisurely walk. Around her the forest took on its own cadence, rain pattering lightly, small breezes rustling the leaves. She heaved a content sigh and shifted back into a human, pulling her cloths out and on in the shortest time possible.
`` Moving easily through the forest onto the beaten trails, Keisha kept her eyes trained on the path ahead of her. She was in vampire territory now. At first she didn’t realize she had company wandering toward her, and when she did she was too close to back off. Normally she wasn’t for social interaction, but she took in a deep breath and kept moving forward. Maybe talking to someone would get her back into a normal swing. Stopping a few feet away she glanced her over. The other girl looked familiar from somewhere though she wasn’t sure where. ”Umm, hey?” she said, keeping back a bit, at least out of hitting range just in case. ”Mind if I join you?”

Carly tried not to get too far away. She might get lost leaving her stuffs behind where she’d be absolutely helpless. She turned the lens of her camera to get a better look at the butterfly silently sipping the sweet juice. Such things would have been boring for other people but it was one of the things she enjoys doing. After sometime she decided to take a break. She pulled out from her bar some snack bars and water. It was like there was no sun at all but at least it was less chilly. Maybe it was the long walk that changed her body temperature that she needs to take off her jacket. She slowly pulled a rock that was on the bushes so she could sit on something.
It must have really been a long walk that she managed to consume a bottle of water straight. Carly grabbed her sketching pad and thought of doing a little sketching. As she turned the pages of her sketch pad, she ran across her recent creation. His image flashed in front of her. She was quite an artist but she knew herself better than anyone else. She won’t be able to create something unless she’s inspired. Unless she wanted to. Jacob’s side view face in her sketch pad looked so peaceful. She was not obsessed. She’s just… in love. She chuckled, shaking her head as she thought of the words in love.
Carly must have been so busy daydreaming as she didn’t notice somebody approached. She was startled and fell from the rock she was sitting. That was embarrassing. She got up and smiled at her then saw that her sketch pad was laying on the grass with Jacob’s face flashing. She quickly picked it up and closed it. Carly brushed off the leaves on her shorts. ”Hi.” She started. ”Yeah sure. Definitely. That would be nice. Sorry for that weird reaction.”
