Drip. Drop. Drip. Drop. The rain sang a little melody of its own on Lily's windowpane. It was the only music she had heard in a long while. She had just started attending the University again as a Junior. Normally she would of graduated by now but she waited to go to school. She had mixed emotions about going back to school after high school. Nursing has always been her passion but lately she's been out of focus. She loves to help people but on the occasion she wasn't too confident in her studying skills. Maybe that wasn't something to tell anyone about. No patient wants to hear 'Hi, I'm your nurse for the day. I’m sorry that I don't know what I'm doing. But I'll do the best I can.' "No Lilith, you have to be confident." she said softly to herself. Taking deep and slow breaths she tried to get those thoughts out of her head.
She sat up on her creaky bed and signed. Looking at her bedside she looked at the picture of her parents and Luke in the small frame on her end table. A smile came to her face. Her family always made her feel more at peace. She threw her legs over the bed and walked to her vanity. With a clap all the lights in the room lit, making the room easier to see. Starring into the ill lit mirror, all she could see were her bright blue eyes and messy hair. "Wow. I really have to fix this mess." she said as she played with her hair. Moving her face from side to side, pouting her lips, and removing old make-up.
She glanced at the clock behind her and noticed it actually wasn't that late. Only 12:30 and she couldn't go back to sleep. It has been happening a lot lately though. She pinned her hair up and applied eyeliner, mascara, and her usual red lipstick. Quickly grabbing her long white summer dress. She never really like sneakers but only wore them to work. It was either flip-flops or bare foot. Both were good to her. Since the weather was nice and warm she felt no need for a jacket. It was nice to feel cool fresh air when the streets and parks were deserted. A nice time for a walk. The beach sounded like the perfect place. It was night time and no one should be there at this time of night. 12:45 and she was out the door.

Skye sat alone in her room playing games on her old laptop, texting, and blasting music through her headphones. It was a normal night, nothing planned after 10 so she would sit there until she was tired enough to actually sleep. Lately she was only running off of maybe five hours a night, she would play games and go online until eventually she would just fall asleep right there. But as for the past few nights she was sneaking out and walking around the reservation. It was harmless to anyone really; she wasn’t causing trouble or destroying anything.
Her door swung open and Skye looked up, having caught the motion in her peripheral vision, and took her headphones out of her ears. “I’m going to bed. Don’t stay up too late.” Her dad said to her and she nodded with a causal smile. She closed the laptop, shut off her mp3 player, and turned off the light.
She stayed silently in her bed until she could hear her dad’s door close. Within minutes he would be asleep and she would be free to leave. Her eyes didn’t leave the clock, the minutes were ticking by and yet she still wasn’t tired.
When she was sure her father was in his room and asleep she got up, turned on her bathroom light and quickly ran a brush through her hair. She grabbed a yellow sweatshirt from her closet to throw over her two tank tops, slid on her leather flip flops, grabbed her pink razor cell phone, shut off the lights, and quietly left her room. She went down the small hallway, down the six stairs, and made it to the front door unheard. Without hesitation she opened the door and it was then when she was free.
She took the phone from her sweatshirt pocket and checked the time. It was only 12:40. It was a fifteen minute walk to the beach and she could be home by two. Skye mentally concluded that the beach would be the best place to go tonight.
She was off to the beach, taking her shortcuts that she knew like the back of her hand and in no time the sandy shore was ahead of her. Skye took off her shoes and held them by the straps in her hand. She started walking along the sand near the water, where the water would touch her feet every few seconds. The beach was pretty at night, no doubt about it. It was dark though, she couldn’t see too well. She was just able to make out the shadows of the trees and such.

It was a lot more windier than she had expected. She could hear the ocean crashing up along the shore, the wind was making a slight whistle sound as it swept through her hair and dress. A slight chill rose up her spine, leaving goosebumps down her arms. It seemed that the ocean made the breeze a little more chilly than she had hoped. But it didn't bother her as much as it would anyone else. Her body temperature would make doctors believe she was having a heatstroke 24/7. She was always warmer than others, and it wasn't because of her "warm" personality. Hot blood was one of the treats of being a werewolf. Her mother always asked if she was too hot during the summer time, but it never seemed to phase her. As Lily walked out from the woods and into the open sea-breezed air, she could smell the salt in the water. It was soothing, the ocean, the waves crashing up on your feet and the soft, salty ocean breeze taking over your senses. This was the beautiful work of Mother Nature, and oh how did Lily love her. No man could create something so pure and breath-taking. She was impressed. And to top it off, there was the bright moon that hovered over our heads. Its natural light was the only way Lily could see anything near her. Of course her senses were heighten, but that still didn't mean she had x-ray vision. But she thanked God that even though the moon was beautiful, it also was her worst nightmare. The last thing she needed was a full moon on such a night like this. She loved the moon, it was one of her favorite things about this world. But it scared her, and her family, to death. Unlike the Shifters in town, she had no control over her transformation. At least not on a night of the full moon. Luckily she can transform even without the full moon, if needed, but she tries to avoid that at all costs. Lily walked closer to the shore, taking her flip-flop's off and holding them in her hands. She closed her eyes and took in a deep breath, letting the salty air fill her nostrils. Not a moment after a different scent filled her nose. That was strange, it smelt like.... perfume. The ocean doesn't smell like perfume. Then she looked over and saw a small shadow in the distance. Adjusting her eyesight so she could see better, she finally picked out that it was a small figure walking towards her. She didn't sense anything dangerous or out of the ordinary so she didn't think anything of it. But she also wondered who else would be out at the same place and same time as she was. As the figure drew closer she could tell it was a female, young, looking not only a few years difference from her. With a soft smile she waited until the girl was in eyesight of her and said "Hello. Beautiful night out isn't it?"

Just walking along the soggy sand was nice; it was calming, it made everything seem to go away for just a few minutes. It wasn’t that she had a lot to deal with; it was more like she had a busy mind. She always had her mind on something; she was usually focused on something. It usually remained on the smaller details of something. Her mind was like a child’s, always jumping from one thing to another. Walking on the beach was like sucking out everything she had thought about and everything she would think about that day. Maybe that was why she came to the beach a lot, it was calming. Simple as that.
Here, at this time of night, Skye was able to do anything she wanted. She could run, yell, spin, clap, anything without someone being there to judge her. At the moment she remained abnormally calm as she stared down at the sand she was stepping on. Her eyes focused on the ground and what she could make out of the patterns in the sand from the moonlight. Sand had sparkle, she liked that, she noticed that. Her hair was hanging at her shoulders, moving slightly when a breeze would come through. Her hands rested in her pockets with her cell phone.
Skye finally looked up, breaking her trance with the sand. In the distance she was surprised to see another figure coming toward her. Her head tilted to the side out of habit as she thought about who could possibly be so insane to be out here at the beach at this hour. Then again, Skye was here as well. When she was able to make out the features on the girls face the stranger spoke. Skye smiled innocently at her. This girl seemed nice enough. "Yeah. Who knew the beach could look this good. " She said in reply. "What are you doing out here so late?" She asked curiously. Her voice stayed the same as she spoke to the blond girl in front of her.

I[/color]t was unusual that someone, especially someone that looked as young as she did, was walking around outside. Lucky for Lily, and the girl, that it wasn't a full moon out. Although she could see that at least within the next few days it might. And that scared her. She loved the enhanced senses and quick healing, of course. But the fact that she sometimes can't control herself scared her. When she was in animal form she had little to no self control. It's like the animal itself has a mind of their own. She could feel the animal scratching inside, trying to get out. But without the full moon there was no way for it to escape. That was the only comfort Lily had. She turned her body so that she could fully introduce herself. Now that the girl was in full eyesight she could distinguish her features. Her bright yellow sweatshirt stood out the most to her. She liked it on her. It seemed to suit her very well. Yellow was a good color for her. "Yeah. Who knew the beach could look this good." "What are you doing out here so late?" the girl said to her. That was a good question. Why was she here at the beach so late. Maybe it was because of the sound of the water when it hits the shore. It was soothing to her. Or maybe she just wanted sometime to think without her mother asking so many questions. Her mom had a talent for that. Even though Lily was often alone, she never really thought about things. "Just thinking. Listening to the waves crashing up on the shore. Its relaxing. You must think so too if your here at night when it's the least busy. I don't blame you for being out here. It's so pretty. Names Lily Edan. Nice to meet you.[/b] she replied with a warm smile. She looked down at her feet and saw a huge empty seashell. Lily had never saw one that big before. It must of been at least the size of her fists, which aren't very small to begin with anyway. She bent down to pick it up. It felt cool in her hands. "Wow. Look at this. It's the biggest shell I've ever seen. And I have lived here my whole life, and have yet to see this till now." she said, not realizing she might be making herself look foolish in front of the stranger right now. "Sorry. I get distracted a little to easily." she chuckled. TAG!?[/b] SKYLARR WORD COUNT!?[/b] 427 OUTFIT!?[/b] N/A LYRICS!?[/b] PHOTOGRAPHS RIHANNA NOTES!?[/b] Sorry it seems a little lacking.
