Daily patrol in times too dangerous such as these still did not bother him. He was born into his lineage for a reason; he was placed in this line of extraordinary beings to protect. Listening for any thought from his fellow pack members as well as surveying the land around him through the trees, Jacob stepped over the ground with the most silent and careful of movements. Out of respect for nature as well as the utter need to master the element of surprise in the case of an attack-worthy opponent, Jacob avoided anything that could break beneath his paws, and make any sort of noise. The scent of a pine trees and wet earth filled his nose as he breathed in a gasp of air.
He worked his way through the woods for what seemed like hours. The borders of their territory were approaching soon, but the wolf certainly did not wish to return to the Reservation anytime soon. Was the pack to need him, they could either search for him or they could, with the best of luck, reach him via their thoughts. Catching the scent of a nearby growth of flowers, Jacob turned with easy positioning of his paws against the damp earth and slowly made way toward a clearing. It stood out from the wet, dark wooded area with its all around brightness.
Jacob needed to be alone, with out any distractions. Being at home every other night for a few hours of sleep was not enough; he decided to escape the animal within and revert into his human form. He stretched his arms out as his human lungs took in its own breath of air. Russet eyes searched the clearing for any sign of immediate danger, with muscles ready to leap into any action if need be. There was nothing but pure beauty sitting beneath the streaming sunlight.
And before his lips could even begin to crack even the tiniest hint of a smile up those tan cheeks, he caught hold of a familiar feeling. He grew more aware as it touched him and took his hand, as if pulling him out from the woods and begging him to take in every piece of quintessence sewn into this particular piece of terrain.

Even though there was no sunlight, it still felt a little warm outside for once, something that surprised him because it was usually cold and wet not warm and wet, although this wasn't something he thought was normal, he knew something in the atmosphere was changing and he didn't like any part of it, not one bit. He was heading up to the meadow, a place he would always find serenity because that was the only place he felt peaceful. He looked up into the sky and noticed heavy gray clouds like if it was about to rain any moment, but he could smell that there was a storm coming soon, and he knew he would have to run home before he got caught in the rain again. Inhaling deeply, he walked along the path to where he would find peace.
He inhaled in the air and he noticed a wet dog smell that wasn't suppose to be there. Now, he knew that Jacob was around there lands looking for Victoria because that's one thing he was doing as well was looking out for her, but he knew that Jacob shouldn't be on his family's land all the time, that was something that probably would have unsettled his stomach if he was alive, he didn't like it when people were taking advantage of things. He knew he would have to confront Jacob now and talk to him about it, that's if it was Jacob, call he could smell was a wet dog, he would have to get closer to find out if it was actually Jacob.
He wasn't that fond of the dog though, he had a charm on him and that's something he wished that boy didn't have because that very charm attracted Bella to him. He didn't like that Bella had an attraction to Jacob, but Edward learned how to deal with things even though sometimes he didn't really seem upset, in his mind, there was a battle going on inside there every time he saw Jacob near her or trying to make a move on her. It always upset him and if Jacob got to close and Bella didn't like it of course Edward would intervene, he didn't like it when Bella wasn't feeling right.
He always protected Bella even if it was something that was hard for him to do, he always will do it until the day she tells him she doesn't want him around, he would honestly leave her alone and his family would follow because that's what his family always had done for him and they knew it would be much better if Bella was left alone. That's why he had left in the first place, it would bring her peace in her life and get her away from all the dangers. But he didn't know that being apart would actually be more dangerous than staying around her. So he wondered, the day that she does tell him to leave, would they actually be able to hold up one another on there own? He wasn't too sure and he hoped that he wouldn't find out either.
But then again it's what Bella wanted if she wanted it of course. But he had this odd feeling in his heart that maybe maybe she would pick Jacob. He wouldn't blame Jacob if she had chosen him. He was healthier for Bella, he was alive, warm, and he would be able to have children and grow old with her. He knew that he could never give Bella that even if he had wanted to, there was no way he would be able to give those things no matter how hard he had tried. But even though he knew Jacob was the better choice he hoped that Bella in the end would chose him because he knew he would treat her right and never make another mistake again and he knew he meant it, he always had.
As he walked closer, he could smell more clearly now and it was in fact Jacob's scent. He wanted to hurl at the smell but knowing that he hadn't eaten anything, that wouldn't be possible, but the smell was awful than anything else he would have smelled in his life or at least what he remember. He came into the clearing of the meadow and he could see Jacob all the way on the other side of it. It might have been quite a distance but Edward's vision was in fact stronger than 20 / 20 vision. He inhaled deeply but then wrinkled his nose when he caught the smell of the dog again. He knew this wasn't going to be pleasant, but he had to deal with it. He had to tell Jacob to at least not travel on there lands so often as he did. He quickly made his way towards the other side of the meadow and in mere seconds he was in front of Jacob, his eyes on his face, giving him a serious expression.
"Hello Jacob, fancy meeting you here." he spoke with such smoothness. "Why are you here?" he felt as though he was invading his own special place, his and Bella's place.

Cutting his eyes quickly in Edward’s direction, Jacob’s immediate attention was split into pieces. He kept alert, as if splitting up his attention and senses quickly around the immediate area in case of an ambush. There was no way to stop someone from doing what they truly desired to do, and even if Bella had told him to leave Jacob alone one-thousand times before this moment, Jacob new the bloodsucker could not obey. Desire ran deep, and if the Cullen wanted to kill him, Jacob was certainly ready for a fight. He scanned Edward, up and down, more times then he could count with this much on his mind. If Bella begged him, there was no way he could accept Edward, much less like him.
And how could someone try learning to like someone who had the one person they wanted? As far as he was concerned, Edward was keeping Bella from him, and always would. His heart cracked more and more each time he thought of it. The shifter shook the thoughts from his head easily and discarded the smirk he wanted to lace onto his lips. “I’m not here to cause any trouble,” He spoke, stepping out into the light- the one place he could be standing with Bella, out in the middle of a group of people, with out any thought of people fleeing in fear. Jacob knew nature was on his side at this point. He could stand here and argue with the vampire, or he could ease out of the situation. At the moment, both of those points were blurry. Settling arms on top of each other across his chest, Jacob maintained clear eye contact with him as the sun beat down on his shirtless skin. “I was just… on the prowl.”
The anger boiled and coursed through his veins, but he bit his tongue. Oh, how he could enjoy commenting snidely, but as quickly as the thought had come to him and began crawling up the back of his tongue, Jacob swallowed the breath. What would Bella do if she was there? She would most likely take the cold one’s side of course, only leaving Jacob pained and aching inside again. Before he could stop his tongue once more, the words slipped from his mouth. “Besides, I don’t see your name on this place…”

He knew he was heading with danger when he was standing in front of a werewolf and it wasn't because the smell was killing him either, he knew that he had to withstand the smell to talk to Jacob, its not like it was that deadly either, he didn't know of any vampires that have actually died because of the smell, the only way to kill a vampire was to rip it then light the pieces on fire. It was the only way to kill a vampire at least stakes or garlic wouldn't harm them, he thought those myths were actually kind of entertaining of what humans thought of them, but then again, he knew that he was once human too and most likely thought of what a vampire was before he actually had became one. The thought amused him, sometimes he wondered what he was thinking in his human life, but with age human memories die out and are replaced with the vampire memories. It didn't bother him but sometimes he wondered what his thoughts were when he was a human.
He sometimes wished he was born in this time period as a human but that wasn't the way god had placed him on this earth, he was born in 1901 and died in 1918 and no longer was one of god's loyal children, he became something different and that something was not allowed to be known to the world because if it was then he knew humans would live in fear and they would have the right too, vampires were usually awful and heartless creatures, he knew he wouldn't be the first few years he was, but over time he had gain guilt when he kept on hearing his dying victim's last thoughts, they were very unbearable to say the least and he wasn't as heartless like almost every other vampire beside his family and Alaska. He wouldn't be able to live like that anymore, which is why he had return to Carlisle in the first place.
“I’m not here to cause any trouble, I was just… on the prowl. Besides, I don’t see your name on this place…” He heard Jacob spoke and his eyes met at his face again, he felt like it wasn't the honest truth, but he knew he was lingering around because of Bella, his Bella. He knew he had a good reason to hang around because of Victoria but Edward didn't like it one bit, he knew the Werewolves would always be a huge help, but he didn't want Jacob around Forks all the time when it came to wanting to sneak a peak at Bella. He was a teenager once, still is, but he knew how they thought and how their hormones had driven them crazy. He remembered that at least it was like when he was a newborn, the desire to have blood was like hormones, they all drive you crazy, but at least hormones were very much easier to control, being a newborn wasn't as easy. Being a blood crazed newborn was pretty insane, you actually lose your sanity because of it and it was pretty reasonable, those vampires were not ones to mess around with, he had never seen a calm newborn in his existence. He figured he never will see one and till the day he was, then he'll be damned, but for now he stilled believed that all newborns are blood thirsty and he knew he didn't want Bella to be that way if she did wanted to end up with him, that's if she chose him. He just wanted to be with her as she grew old, it didn't bother him to see her old, but it bothered her and he could see why, he would stay young and seventeen forever, she wouldn't be able to, she would be with a walking stick. "Well, you're on the prowl within our boundaries. I believe there is a vampire on the loose, but my family and I can be able to handle it unless otherwise there are difficulties." He knew there was always problems that would ring up, but he knew for a fact there was no other vampires around except his family, lately Victoria hasn't made any moves or tried to, at least that's what Alice has been saying or not seeing lately. She has been hiding and Edward really wishes for her to come about so he could really kill her for trying to hurt Bella or Charlie for that matter, but mostly because of Bella. He inhaled deeply and noticed that Jacob was getting upset, now he was watching him carefully so that if anything he would be ready to defend himself, he wasn't going to let Jacob attack him, if Bella had found out they were attacking each other, he knew that she wouldn't like it and would probably try something stupid and he wasn't willing enough to go that distance. Although he had said something about the meadow, he said nothing in return being that it was Bella and his meadow, he knew that would upset Jacob more and he wasn't in the mood for that right now. "Any signs of Victoria on your lands? Alice hasn't seen a single thing, and I do recall that she can't see anything with you dogs in the path." He knew he might have said the wrong word and pressed Jacob's buttons, but this was serious, he had to know, was Victoria hiding behind Jacob and his friends all along? That smirk had worked its own, uncontrollable way onto his lips, cracking up his cheeks and toward his ears. With his arms still crossed over his chest, Jacob walked carefully in the flowers, careful not to step too hard into the meadow; the beauty was too perfect to destroy. The lingering, familiar feeling began crawling up his spine as slowly as he found footing. There was something about this meadow that grabbed him, more so than the bloodsucker and personal enemy staring him down from the shadows did. His attention needed to remain clear and focused, not wandering around in attempt to recognize and clearly identify the loitering essence.
Here he was, sitting and analyzing- just like all of the bloodsuckers seemed to do. Edward Cullen was only sitting and analyzing to decide what is better for him to do, not what was better for Bella’s benefit. It would be good for the pale being to stay civil and bite his tongue because Bella would be upset. The shifter was doing a little bit of his own analyzing, and he found a weakness with in Edward’s dead eyes. There was some sense of worry- but nothing about Victoria actually being here, and nothing on Jacob’s presence on the Cullen’s territory. He is worried more about me than he his that red head.
“If your family could handle her,” Jacob breathed between his teeth. “Then I am pretty sure she would not even be on the loose, right?” A tone of doubt mixed with a hint of mockery shot from his parted lips, but he still remained calm and spoke with a relatively normal volume and relaxed his face muscles ever-so-slightly.
He came to a halt, and his eyes drifted down to a spot where the flowers laid silently, bent at the bottom of their stalks. The energy was the same as hers, and the feeling created by that place became very recognizable. His heart grew weak along with his knees, but he maintained correct balance and stood still. It was all coming to him now- this was where they came together; it was Bella and Edward’s secret spot. No wonder he is more on edge than usual… It fueled the fire within him, but he had to put it out for now.
Once more being pulled back into reality from his destructive thoughts, Jacob turned back toward the Cullen. Victoria was still on the loose, but they had not been able to figure out just where she was at this point, but the pack knew she was close. Shaking his head, as if in disapproval of the entire meadow and its significance, he quickly masked the dissatisfaction with the subject at hand with words. “We’ve caught scent of her a couple of times, but that was days ago,” he was proud that Alice Cullen could not see anything due to themselves; Jacob had to push his pride aside. “She’s been visiting the shore again. Sam caught sight of her and chased her down the main road. He ran her up north.”
She was after Bella, after all, and that fact was enough to keep Jacob more serious when on the job. Bella was the one in trouble, in more danger than usual, and he needed to keep her safe. To keep her safe by his own hands was only motivation for him. If he kept her safe, perhaps she would realize who she should be with… maybe she would realize who she really, truly wanted to be with.

He watched him like a hawk wanting to see what was really going on in his head, he already picked up some of his thoughts but nothing that would nearly kill him inside, his eyes did have a hint of worry, not only because he might lose Bella but because Victoria was still on the lose and she can still reach Bella within seconds if anything was to go wrong. But Edward being himself made sure nothing was going wrong that everything was going according to plan, he made sure he was with Bella every single night and if he wasn't there Alice and Jasper would watch over her and sadly he would regret saying, even Jacob would watch over her, from the outside of course but then again he didn't know if Bella had allowed for Jacob to stay inside. If she had allowed him inside, that would place a hell of an issue with him but he had nothing to say, he always got upset and it would bubble within him until he would explode, not liberality like Jacob at least, just his temper would come about and that wasn't hard for Edward.
He is worried more about me than he his that red head.
As he heard this thought, he narrowed his eyes towards Jacob but said nothing about it. It was slightly true, but not completely, he was just as worried about Victoria as he was worried about Jacob, sadly to say the least. Its not his fault he didn't want his Bella to be taken away from him, although he knew there was a chance of that happening and he knew it could happen but he didn't know what was running in Bella's mind. That drove him up the wall crazy because he didn't know what she was thinking and he always wanted to know what she was thinking inside that little noggin of hers. Of course one day he will figure out a way, if there is any, to unlock what's in her mind. He looked at Jacob but didn't say anything, oh how he wanted to retort about what he had just said but he knew he couldn't argue, he didn't want the dog angry.
“If your family could handle her, then I am pretty sure she would not even be on the loose, right?”
He gently pressed his hand on his temple and rubbed it smoothly as he looked at Jacob, he is just a irritable little monster. Edward sometimes couldn't stand to be around Jacob, he hated being jealous and going over the top upset about this little puppy. He really wasn't in the mood to start any fights and get Bella upset, he already caused more problems that what he had already did. He already caused enough problems for the past six months that he wasn't here. He knew he shouldn't have ever left her, he knew it could have been a problem. Heck, it was a bigger problem that he had ever had to face himself, but he knew he had to win Bella over somehow, he just wanted to be with her. He loves her very much, more than anything on this earth and he knew he would have to fight for her until she made her choice.
"I don't see you or your litter of puppies having control of her either."
He just had to get it out of his system, he really was trying hard to keep himself under control, at least he knew he wouldn't blow up on Jacob knowing his temper is much worse than Edward's would ever be. Not to mention the fact that once Jacob is angry enough he might just attack him and that's something he wasn't looking forward too. He really didn't want to start something even though he really didn't like Jacob, he had to get along with him for Bella's sake, for her safety. He knew once he found Victoria, he was going to rip her into pieces before he actually lights her on fire. He knew he was going to have a field day with that one. He couldn't wait to run into her again and show her what trouble she has really run into.
“We’ve caught scent of her a couple of times, but that was days ago, She’s been visiting the shore again. Sam caught sight of her and chased her down the main road. He ran her up north.”
He looked concerned now, Victoria was pretty close now and that got him very worried. He knew he has to get her somehow. He knew he had killed James with his family and Victoria was now after Bella seeing as she was the weaker one and it was mate for mate, but he knew that Victoria was not the one that was going to get to her first, he knew that he would have to get to Victoria before she would ever make one step closer to getting towards Bella. He wasn't going to let Victoria win, not ever. He knew he just had to win some way some how, Edward was a decent fighter, he had gotten into fights before with other vampires, but he knew this fight was going to be one of the hardest one of them all. He had a feeling it was going to be.
Victoria was deadly, although she seemed small, she was very deadly and dangerous and he knew he would have to try and kill her. He had tracked her once before, while he was keeping tabs on her when he was away for those six months, he knew if someone had killed Bella he would want to kill the person that had done it, and he would really give them a beating before they die. But when he was trying to get to her, he would always lose track of her and from time to time so did Alice, so all this time was Victoria really hiding behind the wolfs or was she trying to figure out something else before she dropped the ball to come to Forks? He really didn't know but what he knew was that he was going to stop her and save Bella.
"We have to put our differences aside for Bella's sake. Because if we keep bickering like children, we will both lose her."

If only he could get inside of that empty, cold head, Jacob could hear what his thoughts really were. If there was only a way to know what exactly the vampire had in store for him- whether it was to leave him in peace, or to fight- Jacob would really enjoy knowing. He surveyed Edward’s every movement, no matter how tiny it was. Though he could certainly stand it, he did not need remnants of a broken vampire body beneath his fingernails, much less have Bella Swan be angry with him for tearing her so-called beloved to pieces.
And his reference to the members of the pack as puppies only fueled the fire within him again. He knew it was only for Edward’s sick amusement. How can she stand him? Everything about the Cullen sickened him, and it was not just the sight of him, nor was it the horrid things his kind does to people as well as animals. Stomach acid quickly tried to work its way from its dwelling from within, but Jacob ceased thought on the horrific thoughts and stopped himself from getting sick before it was too late. “You-“ He stopped himself before he could even finish the actual beginning of the sentence. There’s just no point… Thoughts trailed off as did his words. Eyes turned back down to the spot on the ground; there was no real place to look with out seeing them together… there was no one place to go where he could not feel hurt.
Then the bloodsucker spoke of putting their differences aside. The smirk dropped from his face, mending his cheeks to be smooth and his eyes filled with a kind of angry seriousness. Jacob’s neck snapped back, and he looked straight into Edward’s lifeless eyes. Glaring with his own pair, Jacob’s arms dropped down and his fists clenched at his side; it was stupid of him to suggest… nothing was going to make him just drop everything against the vampire, not even Bella. Sure, Jacob Black could easily smile it all off and fib to her- but the rivalry will always be between them and it always has been. “Listen to yourself,” Shaking his head, he spoke in the same low-volume voice from before. “There isn’t anyway we can just stop.” His body burned as usual, but his face burned hotter than usual. Bella was going to have to choose no matter what, but he had never thought that she might not choose either of them. “Even if we wanted to- even I wanted to stop fighting for her, I can’t.” Jaw clenched tight, Jacob maintained eye contact.
Calm down, Jacob… It’s just another one of his mind games. But not even his conscious could calm him at this point. That pressure between his eyes began to hum low.
"And the only reason you are trying to get me to stop-" Finally he blinked, but upon opening his eyes, he set them back onto Edward's. "Is so you can have her all to yourself. I know how your kind thinks. 'Let's play mind games so we can have our way.' I might be an animal, but I'm not stupid."

He could see the rage in Jacob's eyes and he knew he had said things that shouldn't have been said, he knew he should have kept his mouth shut for once but he couldn't handle just being quiet, he of course had to say something in this as well. He just shouldn't have said nothing at all to Jacob maybe things would have been better that way but still he had to say it, he knew he shouldn't have but it was the truth the honest truth, he wasn't the only one looking out for Bella as well and he knew Jacob was trying to help to, so if he had spotted Victoria, why couldn't he stop her himself? Why was it so hard for them there was a lot of them working together and he knew how strong werewolves were. It's not like they were weaker than vampires. They both had their pros and cons and he knew that very well. But he stood still not breathing, just like a statue.
How can she stand him?
Edward looked up into Jacob's eyes and he wondered the same as well but he said nothing about it. Sometimes he heard thoughts but said nothing about it because he didn't want to start problems and if Jacob was going to fight, Edward knew he would have to back down and he knew that Bella would never have to know about this because he honestly didn't want to break her heart with her best friend and her boyfriend fighting against each other. Edward was already in a deep hole, he didn't want to go six feet under now. But as he watched Jacob he couldn't help but to think that maybe he should just leave right now so there wouldn't be a bicker between the two of them, he really just didn't want to start anything, he needed the wolves to save Bella from Victoria, he had a feeling that they were still on his side because this vampire wasn't a fair minded one.
“Listen to yourself, There isn’t anyway we can just stop. Even if we wanted to- even I wanted to stop fighting for her, I can’t.”
He inhaled sharply as he looked at him with a serious eyes but also very tender as he looked at Jacob. He wanted to stop the fighting, he honestly wanted to, he was tired of it and he knew he had to place some differences aside so that they can work together to help one another with Victoria and anything else that comes in the way, he just wanted Bella to be happy and he always tried to give her everything that she wanted. He tries to make Bella happy and he's always willing to do everything for her and he knows he would at least have to try to make things better between the both of them, but seeing with Jacob's temper, it wasn't going to be fine between both of them and he knew this wasn't going to be any easier for both Bella and himself.
"And the only reason you are trying to get me to stop. Is so you can have her all to yourself. I know how your kind thinks. 'Let's play mind games so we can have our way.' I might be an animal, but I'm not stupid."
All he ever wanted was to make Bella happy, to give her everything that she ever wanted and to just make her smile for once in her life instead of just frowning, he wanted to make things right and he was trying his hardest to make things work out. He was trying to fix everything and he knew it was going to take some time. He offered Bella almost anything she had ever wanted and if she wanted a car, a ring, anything, he would give it to her because its something she wanted or desired and Edward knew for a fact that she wanted him and Jacob to stop all the fighting and he tried to make that happen but he realized maybe it will never happen and he wonders, what if Bella did chose Jacob, would Jacob do everything in his power to keep Edward away from her?
He couldn't bare to think about being away from Bella, he knew it would pain him to be away from her and he hoped that maybe she wouldn't want that and she would fight against Jacob for her to see Edward. Edward knew she still had feelings for him and he knew he had feelings for her, but he wondered if she did chose Jacob, what would ever happen to Edward? Would he leave? Would he stay? Would he actually consider of going to the Volturi again? He didn't want to think about that, he knew he would never do that again. He closed his eyes for a mere second then opened then again to look at Jacob, what does he have that Edward didn't have? Well one, it was life and two he still had his soul intact.
"I love Bella with all my existence, I want her to chose me. Her happiness has more importance, and if she decided on you, so be it. But I will always love her and I will remain forever to her if she wants me to be about unless told not to otherwise. I want what's best for her and what makes her happy."
He looked at Jacob once more then turned his back and started walking away, he knew he shouldn't turn his back but he felt as though there shouldn't be anymore issues between the both of them and he knew soon he would have to ask Bella to marry him, he knew he was running out of opinions but he wanted to know who she really desired to be with and he had a feeling that it wasn't going to be him because of his past's mistakes. He knew he made an awful mistake and he knew he might not ever be able to make up for it, but in time he knew he would have to try to do something about it unless Bella told him to go. But he knew if Bella had chosen Jacob, he wouldn't be able to stay around for the pain, he knew he would have needed to be alone for his sanity's sake.

Victory ran over him just as cool breeze might dance along the skin of a true human being as Edward turned his back, but it as not enough for the young Quileute. Jacob’s sinister urge to shift and attack Edward was stopped once more by the thought of Bella. Between his eyes, that annoying hum grew heavier and heavier as he continued to focus on the situation. Everything about the pale Edward Cullen angered him. Was it just that he had Bella? Or was it something deeper?
Calm down, Jacob. His conscious attempted to soothe his emotions as well as calm the beating beneath his skull.
“Hey!” He called quickly, loudly- with almost a roaring echo shadowing his words. Pure resentment intertwined with his tone and held on tightly as it traveled through the meadow and toward Edward. Jacob’s blood was nearly boiling hot beneath his tan skin, and it was the kind of hot that only lead to more anger. The animal with in him and been waiting and waiting to get a hold of that cold, heartless Cullen for as long as he had known him; hopefully, for her sake, Jacob had better restraint than before. “Don’t you turn your back on me! We aren’t done here!”
He felt there was much more to discuss, but had no real clue as to what they needed to talk about. Jacob was not going to get in trouble over being on their territory, even if Victoria was not roaming about, and he knew it. Cullen would not report anything of that nature, especially meeting with him outside of Bella’s knowledge. Uncontrollably beating beneath his ribs, Jacob’s heart felt as if it was going to explode; he was all worked up and over what? The vampire had nearly set him off again.

ime was on his hands and he knew he would be running out one day, he knew that he wouldn't be able to even come to forks anymore cause of all this was happening. Victoria, Jacob, Bella, everything was changing and even though he didn't like he, he had to face the truth and deal with everything that was happening including the ugly truth that he wish he didn't had to find out when he returned here. He never wanted to come here again, he knew he loved Bella with all his heart and he knew this was there meadow but he didn't want to come back here knowing that it used to be there meadow, he didn't want to think that he lost her all at once, it pained him to think about him loosing his one true love or so he thought it was, but he wouldn't be able to bare the fact if he had lost her, where would he go and what would he do? There is probably nothing he could do, he really didn't have anyone else except his family and his beloved Bella, maybe he knew it was just time to face the facts or maybe he wanted to try a little harder, but he knew Bella might still decide to take up on the fur ball than himself. He knew Jacob was stunned when he had turned his back around but he felt like there was nothing more to say to him than just that. What else was there to say? What could he say? 'Sorry things ended up this way?' He didn't felt sorry what he felt was guilt and very self-pitied but he deserved that after what he had done to Bella. He didn't even deserve her after what he had put her through, he could only imagine what he had done to her. She had told him the hallucinations she was having of him, but he never told her how at times he would just close his eyes and swore he had heard her heart beat and at times he would get up to see if it was her but there was never anyone there, not a single thing and he remembered every single time that had happen to him and how much more regret and guilt was building up over those six long months. Oh the agony, if only he had never left in the first place maybe he would still be with Bella, possibly married right now or something of that sort. But he knew that dream could have been long gone now, he was usually optimistic about things but with this, he knew the road was pretty rocky. “Hey! Don’t you turn your back on me! We aren’t done here!”Edward turned his head to the right, a crooked smile cracked on his face, that was Bella's favorite smile, she always adored it but he always smiled like that when he was amused at something, right now he was amused at Jacob and his child like exclamation. He knew Jacob was still a child, he was what only about fifteen sixteen years old? He was still growing up, still learning how to become a man, he knew that always took a few years before you finally realize what responsibilities you have when you become a man. Edward might have been a human man but he still was a man indeed and he knew he had to live up with things and soon over time he learned how to over come those things just like someone that's growing up. Although he had looked at Jacob, it kind of reminded him how he used to be when he was his age when he was actually human, although Edward had to be more civilized, you always had to be civilized during those times, always the gentleman. He was raised like that by his mother while his father was always busy with his job, if he knew one thing about his actual father, he was always a hard working man. 'You might not be, but I am'He thought more to himself than to say it out loud, He felt a few rain drops hit his head and he noticed how black it had gotten and how dark and eerie everything felt like, he didn't like the environment at the moment, it didn't make him nervous or anything but it was awful weather. He merely raised his head to look into the sky, no speck of the night blue sky everything was just gray dark clouds floating up ahead. He could heard thunder from miles away and he could see flashes of white light here and there. Lighting and thunder, he knew this wasn't something to mess about. He then looked ahead of him and noticed a deer running off to find shelter, one thing was gray clouds, and lighting plus thunder but animals running away to find somewhere to hide was another thing, he knew it was a sign of something big and he honestly could hear Jacob's thoughts and that made Edward slightly uneasy because he himself was not in the mood to start a whole another war with him over some stupid childish things. He knew maybe now was the right time to get on home before the storm really started to put a damper on things for good. “Better take my exit before the dog whines for another walk.” ___________________________________________________tagged; jacob and edward word count;1516 listening to; seize the day by avenged sevenfold notes; na da key; edward - talk thought other character - talk thought[/ul]

He was utterly pathetic, but Jacob was not much better. The thought of violence swam through his thoughts, pushing everything that could stop him to the back of his mind. The animal from with in snarled and growled from his very soul, and bit and ripped at his skin. His breaths grew deeper, and the air sat heavily in his lungs as they rose and sank with each inhale and exhale. Teeth clenched tightly and both fists tight by his side, Jacob did not know if he could control himself. It was not the fact that Edward Cullen was a vampire at this point; no, that was barely a spark to his fire. The fire had not started because of a turn on the heel either. No. That was something Jacob should be fine with. A yell escaped his lungs and throat, echoing through out the woods around them. Silent followed quickly behind, as this angered voice traveled further and further away. With narrowed eyes, he stared into Edward’s back as if he was burning a hole right through his pasty, cold body. He wanted to break his neck, only to strike a match over him and let it fall on his petrified body.
The thoughts kept flowing through his mind. He was a vampire. He was turning his back to a wolf. He had Bella. Jacob was unable to even hear the sound of rolling thunder in the distance- which most likely met with his loud roar from before and danced over the hills. The raindrops fell, but it had no effect on him. It was not going to cool off his temper, and neither was anything anyone could say.
Before he could get hold of his true soul and lock it back inside, he felt the wet earth beneath his palms against. A huff of air pushed through his snout, and a growl hummed from his chest. Tail whipping behind him slowly, he felt as though he was truly just that- an animal. Were he in his right frame of mind, Jacob Black would not be angry, and he, himself, would have turned and walked away just as Edward was doing. Instead he was growling, on all fours, with an wicked glaze over his eyes. Though he growled and was easily ready to attack if need be, Jacob stop himself from showing his teeth.
What would Bella think of you now?
One last growl toward the Cullen bustled in his chest before he slowly looked back down at their spot at his feet. Those big brown eyes softened and he cocked his head back to Edward. Before he could offer his own thought, he heard Sam’s voice fill his head.
JACOB BLACK! Where are you?! GET HOME NOW.
He turned on his paws and started toward the edge of the meadow, to return to the pack.
