Sean was getting ready for bed at around a half an hour after midnight, tired from the long day at school and running around doing some errands for his grandma. However, he was rewarded with Panda Express, which he can't complain with. That was his favorite fast food restaurant by far, he always got the orange chicken, which was his favorite food overall. Sean would imagine he's like part Asian or something. Sean already had Oliver in bed by around eight thirty, as he got fussy and obviously needed to sleep then, as he would go instantly to sleep and wouldn't wake up until about seven in the morning. A very behaved little baby, he was. Sean brushed his teeth thoroughly before switching into some comfortable shorts, then saying goodnight to his brother, still in the living room. Of course, he only got a look from Daniel. He sighed, not sure when this awkward feel would ever end, and walked into his room, quietly closing the door to not wake up his seven month old roommate. Sean didn't need Oliver to be freaking out at this hour, his mother was asleep and would be very pissy the next day if she didn't get her correct amount her sleep- that was Sean's mom, alright. He slid under his covers, adjusting his body to get more comfortable before shutting his eyes and taking a deep breathe in, and shortly after letting out.
However, something was happening that seemed to have gone away for a while. Sean could not sleep. Usually something would be on his mind that would prevent him from doing so, but this time.. it just was the fact that he couldn't sleep, despite the fact he was exhausted. He toss and turned in his bed, trying to fall asleep. Sean looked at his clock once; 1:45 in the morning. Over an hour of trying to go to bed. Sean groaned quietly and tried to stay still and fall asleep that way, even though it was quick to discover that it was a miserable failure. Sean threw himself around to look at the clock radio displaying that it was now 2:30. Okay, something was going on. Even on a bad night he would've been able to fall asleep already. Sean got up and decided maybe a little stroll would allow him to fall asleep. As he headed out the door, he quickly realized - Oliver. This would be the first time he went to sleep without him within 20 feet. Was the fact that he couldn't rest be worth breaking that chain to Sean? He was worried something bad would happen to him. Sean bit his lip in concern and decided he did need to get out for a bit, despite the fact that this would be the first night he wasn't with Oliver the entire time. Sean opened his door and slowly picked up the crib with his enhanced strength and led it out the door, being cautious not to wake up the sleeping Oliver. "Am I out of my mind?!" Sean kept having that buzz through his brain. He reached his brother's room, with Daniel already sleeping. He put the crib down gently next to Daniel's bed, and tiptoed out of the room.
Sean couldn't believe he was allowing himself to do this as he stepped out of the house, with only his shorts on. He didn't have to worry about getting cold or his feet hurting fortunately, cause despite hating that he was a shifter, there were perks of having body heat like no-one else and the inability to get hurt by things humans traditionally would. Oh, and his crazy strength, he didn't mind that. Sean walked in the road, not really sure where he was going. He wasn't going to be gone for long.. well, didn't think he was. Sean followed the road unaware of time or even realizing where he was going, and after some time realized he had entered the forest. He muttered, "Wow.. I've been wandering for some time, haven't I..." Sean stopped walking and just tried seeing how far away he was, but he couldn't; he was almost in the middle of nowhere. However, it wasn't like he couldn't find his way out, all he had to do was shift and he'd find La Push in no time. Good thing he was only wearing shorts, or he would really be screwed with his clothes dilemma. Sean quickly made his transformation into his wolf self, with his dark beige fur and slightly fluffy tail. Sean trotted cautiously, as he thought he heard a distant noise. Of course, his paranoia might've just made him think that. Sean continued walking until he knew he heard something. And it was close. After noticing this, a scent filled his very sensitive nostrils; a dog. No, a wolf... more specifically, a shifter. It would've been quite a coincidence if it was just a random run-in, however, Sean was pretty sure that the other wolf had noticed him. After his short walk towards what seemed to be La Push, Sean cut it short as he phased back into a human with his far-from-tanned human skin. Sean was a bit worried about the response from this shifter. After all, he was fairly new to the town and tried his best to stay unnoticed. His voice clearly indicated he was nervous as he called out, "Uhhm.. hel- hello." He wasn't quite sure what to expect. Sean wasn't at all familiar with anybody in this area, so he didn't know if he was going to be welcomed or not.
NOTES: Wow, this is the longest post I've ever made. o__o Please post the length your usual length, as I don't know how long you typically post but I do want you to be comfortable with your posts. ^^ Most of it is just me rambling in a crappy manner, anyways. xDD

Embry was at last done with his usual ever boring homework. Worst of all, he hated the subject. The question and whining goes on as to why does he need to go to school, go home, do his homework and do the same routine the next day when it doesn’t have anything to do with him being a wolf and protector of the village. He can’t think of any smart, valid and acceptable reason to talk himself out as her mom doesn’t know his true identity which is for him, way cooler than any other jobs in the world. Not everyone gets to be like him or like anyone in the pack. But if ever he decides to be an accountant, a writer or an architect, he can totally do that. All he needs to do is to go to school, finish a degree, probably get some master’s degree too then start the journey of job hunting. But to be a protector and shifter’s not some course you can enroll yourself into and no one gets to be one no matter how much money you’re willing to pay unless you’re destined to be one.
He had enough of thinking of a perfect argument so he could win this issue against her mother. Right now, he’s one along with few others assigned to do the patrolling. With the red-head bloodsucker on the loose, they can’t be any careless. If the leech was after something, or someone, they have no other choice but to kill her the moment she trespass again. It’s already dangerous that a creature like her exists but her lurking around the village, around the little town of Forks’ even more dangerous. At the back of his mind, it was a good thing the Cullens live somewhere near, so they could defend the place they’re not allowed to.
Embry changed into his wolf form and the gray furred dog with black spots started the patrol. He swiftly ranged the forest knowing the others would be around and it would be easy to inform them if ever there’s an emergency. As he made a turn, Embry abruptly stopped. He can smell something, or someone. Embry made a low growl, as a warning. It wasn’t any scent he can recognize. But one thing is for sure, that thing’s like him, too. They’re the same, but if he’s a friend, or a foe, he does not know. Embry slowly turned around and finally saw the human figure in front of him. Embry stood there still, not making any sudden moves. He studied his moves and as he spoke, Embry relaxed knowing he’s not a danger. Probably a new one.
He phased and changed into his human form and put on his shorts, which he carried as he patrols. Embry nodded at him. "You’re new here. Do you have any purpose of coming to La Push?" He asked him, not trying to be rude.

Sean was unfortunately not sure where exactly the other shifter was, it was after all very dark and the waning moon only lit up the forest a little bit, the light passing by only a few trees. However, it didn't take long after the other wolf had addressed him, Sean then realizing he was in human form. It was a relief, then he could actually talk to him and not worry about just growling; one did that to him before and he freaked out. However, he was still extremely cautious. Sean listened to him say, "You’re new here. Do you have any purpose of coming to La Push?" He processed what he said to say something that wasn't stupid, as Sean when nervous usually had to think things through or well.. made a fool of himself. Sean cleared his throat and nodded, "Uhm, yes, I am in fact n-new to La Push." The second part was a bit more difficult to answer in just a small answer, however used a vague answer instead. "I.. I just moved here a couple months ago with my mom and my brother, well, brothers, I should say," and put a small smile on his face, before continued, "My grandmother still lives in La Push; my grandfather was a part of the... well... the pack. Why I moved is a long story." He cleared his throat and looked down. Sean really hoped he wouldn't have to explain the story.
Sean looked back up and added after a pause, "I'm.. assuming you are part of that pack too?" He hesitated asking, as he was a little worried this person was like those cops in the movies, saying, "I ask the questions, not you," before smacking your head on the table. Something about that sounded.. not so fun. He prayed that he wouldn't ask Sean about him not being affiliated with any pack, in his mind he felt under-qualified for a position such as a Protector of La Push. Of course, it was mainly about losing time from his baby brother and his mother being both suspicious and worried about being gone all the time due to patrolling, when patrolling itself sounded very unappealing. He was surprised his mother did not know anything about the shifters, despite her own father being one. Sean sighed and started thinking about Oliver, hoping that everything was okay. Despite the fact that he knew on the inside he was, it just always was like this. Being away at night clearly appeared to be nerve-racking to Sean. He scratched the top of his head as he reviewed his own thoughts for a moment, filled with questions. It left him curious to think if this mysterious person, who didn't seem that much older than him, if at all, could assist him with any of those questions. However, one question at a time was appropriate. He just waited patiently for a response from the shifter in front of him.

He felt nothing weird about him, not even dangerous. Embry’s also not in any position to tell who and who cannot come in or stay in the village or somewhere near, to creatures at least. Sam, however, has some authority to do so. He can see he was nervous, or scared maybe. After all, who wouldn’t be. To see an abnormally large wolf running in the forest isn’t normal. That would surely startle anyone. He was surprised though that someone of the same kind would be nervous or scared. He figured he probably hasn’t been in any fight yet. He then missed out all the fun, especially the killing the vampire part. Why not get into action? If it wasn’t for the vampires’ return, he wouldn’t be a wolf and there wouldn’t be any fight.
Embry felt bad for making him feel that way. He seems like a nice kid. If the word kid really is applicable to him. He listened as he explained being new in La Push and moving in with his family. He caught it when he said he’s grandfather being part of the pack. He wasn’t sure whether the pack he was talking about was the same as to Sam’s, or at least their grandfathers’. Embry gave out his usual loud laugh and jokingly pushed him in the shoulder. "I’m just fooling you dude. Relax. You’re lucky you met the friendly one first." He can’t imagine what could’ve happen if it was Paul he come across. The hot-headed one would more likely attack first then ask questions later.
He nodded when he asked him being part of the pack. "Yes I am. Sam’s the Alpha. You should drop by so you could meet the rest of the pack."

Sean stood there uncomfortably, he didn't enjoy talking to people much; especially the non-human kind. It's not like this person was mean or anything; this shifter thing was just.. awkward for Sean, knowing there were more of them out there. That there were vampires out there. He actually ran into one; pale skin, amber eyes... he knew it was one because it gave him a dirty look and continued walking. Sean was with Oliver and was scared to death something would happen. Of course, he's always worrying about something. The fact just defined him, almost. They were looking at each other for a few moments, almost like a stare-down. But it definitely wasn't intentional on Sean's part, and he was almost positive the other shifter didn't intend to make it awkward either. Nonetheless, Sean hesitantly tilted his head down so he wouldn't as uncomfortable. If he was going to be interrogated, might as well be a little less weirded out. However, the unsureness of how the other shifter took Sean quickly ceased as he laughed and gave Sean a playful push and said, "I’m just fooling you dude. Relax. You’re lucky you met the friendly one first." The breathe that Sean was holding in for a few moments was let out in slight relief. Now he didn't feel like he was going to be exiled by this person; which felt a little nice inside, for all that is worth. However, he reviewed what the shifter had just told him. You're lucky you met the friendly one first. His stomach lurched as he then worried what would happen if he encountered pretty much any other. How bad were they? He had absolutely no clue. But he knew one thing for sure; most likely- he was very lucky if the person could call himself the friendly one.
After a few brief moments, he listened as the person answered his pack question. "Yes I am. Sam’s the Alpha." Sean had absolutely no clue who Sam was, but he just nodded, and put on a facial expression that pretty much said, 'I see, I see.' However, the pack member continued his answer, saying, "You should drop by so you could meet the rest of the pack." For the second time in probably under a minute, his stomach lurched. Sean didn't know why, but he felt like that it could potentially be a mess when someone that could potentially be identified as an 'outsider' to meet a pack. The "friendly one" of course didn't bother Sean, he seemed okay. However, many scenarios of how it could go terribly wrong just zoomed through his head. Whether or not it was the anti-social aspect of Sean that was causing meeting new people such a bad idea, which it was, Sean needed to think of an answer that wouldn't offend the person he was talking to. Once again with all the nervousness of last time he talked, he pushed out, "U-uhm, maybe... I dunno how they would take me; maybe it's b-best if they don't know who I am?" Sean shrugged, and continued, "I've been doing a g-good job so far." A sad note that needs to be added is that this was the second time he had been willing to get into a conversation with anybody since the accident; the first time also with another wolf. It was funny, despite that he wanted to stay away from other shifters, they were so far the only people he talked to.

The cold breeze of the forest boasted, passes them and yet Embry still felt warm as it is. That’s one of the advantages of being a wolf. Jacket’s never needed even in human form. Cliff diving anytime, may it be sunny or rainy. Who wouldn’t want to do cliff diving? The thrill, the rush, the adrenaline. It’s a great feeling. Even Bella enjoyed it although hers nearly ended badly. That very same day, Harry Clearwater died. It was a sad day. Harry’s one of the elders they all respected most. It was a good thing Leah and Seth were tough. The red headed leech will pay for it. She won’t get away easily.
Embry wasn’t trying to scare him off. It was true and a bit of warning as well. Hanging around in the forest would make it look like he’s up to no good, being the new one, it was a fair reaction from the village not to mention that they’re patrolling because of the recent appearance of the bloodsucker. Introducing him to the pack might not be completely acceptable for everyone but it’s better than not to do so. It’s not impossible he would run into another one and who knows who that might be. He does not wish for him to get beaten up or worse killed just because of mistaken identity.
Embry shuddered. "They may not completely agree but it sure is not as bad as revealing our other form to a human being." He remembered Bella knowing all about them, being wolves. Besides, his intentions were clean. If the pack somehow knows him, he will not get himself into any trouble. At least to his kind. Being a wolf, it’s normal for him to kill any vampire who would mean him harm. He’s not part of the pack thus, the treaty. "Embry Call. I’d love to brag being the beta but I’m not." Embry jestingly remarked.

Sean coughed into his elbow as his throat started to dry up from nerves. He needed to calm, he told himself in his head, he probably looked like a fool to this other shifter. He was fairly distracted by the cooling breeze, until the other shifter spoke, insisting he did meet this pack he was affiliated with. "They may not completely agree but it sure is not as bad as revealing our other form to a human being."' Sean thought it through a little bit, and said to himself in his head, "May not completely agree...?" Sean cleared his throat once more, his throat still irritated, and asked, "Uhm.. they might not agree on what..?" He was a little concerned on what he meant. Sean prayed that they weren't going to not approve of Sean being in La Push, cause it's not like he had many other options. A wave of discomfort flew over him as he thought of being separated from his family, which even if he only honestly spent time the baby and occasionally his grandmother, all four of them were the only thing keeping him sane, even Daniel, who almost completely cut Sean out of everything, wouldn't even answer him.. it was terrible. Then he realized a terrible thing - he knew about him being a shifter. And the other shifter just warned him about not tell him. Sean coughed out of nerves and after the short pause, asked another question, "Uhm.. what would happen if a human did find out about this sort of thing? Not that I'd be willing to tell.. I don't even like thinking about it, much less tell someone about it."
Well, that was all true, he wasn't really willing to tell; his older brother just intimidated him into telling. Now, he wished he had just left the matter at rest. Sean knew - well, hoped, that Daniel would never consider talking about it with anybody. There was a slight possibility that Daniel just thought that Sean and his grandmother were flat out crazy and wanted to stay away from them while in a lunatic state, which is what Sean hoped.. once again, hoping he wouldn't mention why they were "crazy"... from what this shifter was telling him, it probably would lead to a consequence that Sean would have to deal with. The other shifter told him, "Embry Call. I’d love to brag being the beta but I’m not." He assumed that Embry was his name, and responded, "Erm, hello, Embry.. I'm Sean... Sean Reese. I'd love to.. uhm... say I knew why all this was happening." Sean couldn't help but chuckle at his comment. Surprisingly, he was... talking. This didn't happen much, but he slowly loosened up as the conversation continued. Sure, he was still a little tense, but much more comfortable then he had ever been at school, at home... anywhere. Even when sleeping he would wake up and automatically having something bothering him. This Embry person didn't seem all that bad, which was a relief for Sean; he needed a break from the anti-social misery.

Embry slowly walked and still stayed attentive for any danger that might take place. He can’t be lousy and there’s no room for mistakes in patrolling. Sean asked what the pack might not agree on. It was not impossible for them to get mad at him but worse things could happen if he won’t even inform them of his existence. The other can easily wound him or worse case scenario, kill him thinking he’s up to no good. Besides, his intention’s far more reasonable. They’re not obliged to make friends with him, just to know he’s a good guy or rather good wolf is enough.
”They might be a little offended if I bring some one of our own kind yet outside the pack.” Who knows how they would react? Jacob and Quil could consider but the rest is the big question especially Sam. ”It would be the first time but just ignore the rest if they’re unwelcoming. I know you’re a good guy.” Embry frowned on his second question. It was a little tricky. ”Well, I really don’t know about your situation but as a member of the pack, we really can’t tell it to anyone. Not directly. We’re bound to keep it secret and sacred. Does anyone on your side know it?”
When he said he knew what was happening, Embry didn’t know exactly what he was trying to point out. Is it why he’s a wolf or the existence of the vampires as of the moment. There are a lot of questions that needs to be answered that Embry doesn’t really give a damn before. ”You knew what?”

Sean followed Embry's movements, still a little cautious (and paranoid). Embry had said, ”They might be a little offended if I bring some one of our own kind yet outside the pack.” Sean was a little confused; they'd be offended by him coming there but it was still a good idea? He wasn't even wanting to do so, but he wanted to know if he had to that there would be no potential problems. He responded, "Uhm.. you sure it's a good idea, then? I'm not wanting to make anybody angry, or anything." Sean nodded in respect to the comment Embry made next, glad to see one person didn't think he wasn't bad.
Now was time for Embry to answer Sean's second question. He was nervous that Embry would get made for telling someone, as it seemed pretty obvious it concerned him enough to the point that he had told someone. Sean listened to him say, ”Well, I really don’t know about your situation but as a member of the pack, we really can’t tell it to anyone. Not directly. We’re bound to keep it secret and sacred. Does anyone on your side know it?” Sean looked down and answered him, "I sorta told my brother.. and my grandma knows, but she found out pretty much on her own, her husband being, you know, like us. " He shrugged. There was no point to lying, his trust somehow found a way to Embry. He was sure nothing would happen.
He looked down again and cleared his throat. His head looked up as Embry asked him, ”You knew what?” Sean smirked lightly, and corrected Embry, "No, no... I'm saying I don't know anything. I mean, why am I this?" It frustrated him, being a shifter. Sean missed being average and everything about it. He didn't care if he wasn't as strong or fast as now, because his mind was never thinking about one thing. It was never simple anymore; he'd be able to have a slightly normal life. Sean wouldn't be concerned that Oliver would be hurt every waking moment, his brother would actually talk to him, and he wouldn't feel like monster. The pain slowly ate him inside.
