`` The tiny figure stood shock still at the window, watching the sun rise, inch by inch over the trees. Had anyone else been watching, they’d only be able to see the sky lightening gradually, but with her vampire eyes, Alice could see the small tidbits of light flittering through the thick clouds. It had to only be about five thirty in the morning, made five forty-five. But she was up. Like she really could have slept anyway. Besides, she enjoyed watching the sun rise. Normally she watched the sunrise with Jasper… but he’d gone out hunting before school today. Though she didn’t need to, she sighed lightly and turned from the window. He room was unusually clean and a snowy white in color. There was no bed, but there was a lounge sofa instead. Alice would often pass the nights there with a good book. Last night she hadn’t though. She’d been out for only about an hour with Jasper hunting. But for some reason she wasn’t all that hungry. Maybe it had something to do with Victoria being so quiet. It was strange. Alice hadn’t seen much of the woman and it bugged the psychic vampire to the core. She wondered if it had anything to do with the mangy mutts wandering around the reservation. In that sense she really had no idea.
`` Moving through her room in sweeping graceful movements, Alice entered the hall and glided easily down the stairs into the kitchen. The house around her was silent. She wasn’t sure exactly where Rose or Emmett were… then again she probably really didn’t want to know. And Edward was with Bella. With a small smile on her lips, Alice danced around the kitchen, busying herself by straightening the utensils they never really used on the counters. Finally, after fussing to her heart’s content, Alice swept from the kitchen and down the front hall. It was about an hour before school started, and even with her driving skills, she still had to be on time. Taking her rain coat and scarf off the hook near the door, she put them on and glided over the threshold at the same time. She shut and locked the door behind her in one fluid movement and headed to the garage. There she paused in the doorway for a moment before deciding on taking Jasper’s car. She loved her’s, but it was a bit more conspicuous. Besides, he was going to be the one driving home.
`` Alice slipped easily into the driver’s seat and pulled the keys out of her purse. She stuck them into the ignition and turned them. The car purred to life just as the garage door opened behind her. She pulled out quickly, too fast then any normal person, and hit the garage door opener as she sped down the drive. For a moment, she watched the garage door close behind her then turned her amber eyes on the road in front of her. At the end of the drive, she pulled a sharp right, fish tailing slightly on the wet asphalt as she accelerated. Part of her really didn’t want to make it to school today. She didn’t want to do anything except try to see what was going on. Yes. It bugged her that much that she hadn’t seen anything of much importance lately. She kept driving, not actually seeing where she was going, but knowing the way from having driven it so many times. With and without everyone else. She was trying to see anything besides the road in front of her. Some place else she’d never seen. Something different. Anything! It was making her a bit mad. She pulled in a deep breath instead to calm down… at least enough so to act normal for everyone else.
`` Finally, she pulled into the school’s front parking lot. She was still going too fast. Either Alice didn’t mind, or she didn’t really seem to notice. It was hard to differentiate with her at this particular time. She zoomed perfectly to her spot, almost before anyone else really noticed. She glimpsed Bella’s truck and Edward’s Volvo, so they were here at least. Jasper would probably turn up soon too. Same with Emmett and Rose. She parked perfectly in the lot and sat in the car for a moment before she turned off the ignition. She pulled on a sparkly smile and climbed from the car. She moved easily and in small dancing movements, making any passerby stop and stare. Hitting the button on the electronic key, she locked the car and glided up the steps to the school, ducking inside quickly and out of the rain. Time to be normal. Alice smiled to herself. Yeah. Normal. Funny stuff.

Making his way to the school, Edward was walking rather slow today. His mind was filled of nonsense, or so it seemed to him. He was fighting with himself lately, trying to think of a decision of the question that laid deep into his mind. The question was one that he was trying to bring himself to an answer. He couldn't find an answer to it, he was struggling on what to decide. He knew his family would want best for Bella and he of course would automatically want the same as well. He wanted what was best for Bella and his mind wouldn't stop swirling around the two answers. He was having a harder time as it seemed. Bella's decision on whether to be with him or Jacob. He pressed his lips together while he walked, still undecided for both things to see what she had really wanted
He felt the eyes of others staring at him, he was getting annoyed by it. It amused him at times when the girls would stare and melt but they never caught his attention fully like Isabella had in so many ways. She never realized how beautiful she was and when Edward would say she was, she would deny it. Edward never really knew why. He understood that he was attractive towards humans, he guessed it was the vampire charms that took him and made him look like a god. He didn't define himself a god, more like the opposite, a devil. A true evil. He knew he would end up in hell. It didn't matter to him but he wanted to keep on living as long as Bella remained alive. That was his mission, to let her keep living as a human being, like she was suppose too.
Edward would never give her eternal damnation. It wasn't fair. She could live out her life as a human without so many complications. Edward never wanted her to be in a soulless state. Bella was to beautiful that way, she didn't deserve such. Edward would never bring himself to turn her. It was much to difficult and her blood was something that he was attracted too. Any vampire would be. Edward was going to have a mental breakdown with all of these things happening at once. He had to or find a way to make it stop. He felt like he was going to go insane. He was also amused that he hadn't yet so far. It would only be a while until he would finally snap. But he knew his patience would remain intact, so possibly, he might not snap.
His eyes darted up as he read a girl's thoughts. The corner of his lips turned down. Why did all the girls in the school have to stare at him or at his family. He knew they feared them or they took no interest in them. He wondered what made Bella so different, how had she slipped through there protective bounties and joined the group. It was his fault. He allowed himself to get so close and now it's to the point where it would be much difficult to leave. He was fighting again with the thoughts, thinking if he should stay in forks or if he should leave. He couldn't bring himself to do it and he cursed inside of his head wishing he was able to do so. It would have been much easier if he hadn't let things slip so closely together.
Bella would have been safe if Edward and his family had never met them. It would have been better than way, even if Edward would be miserable without her. She would have dated Mike Newton, at least he was the healthy choice. Though, Edward would have been upset at it, he wouldn't invade Bella if she decided to leave him. Edward would have left her alone if Bella had wished for the same. Edward's only desire was to love her and to make her happy. But falling in love had it's consequences that not even Edward would have thought of. Two different worlds collided, one almost destroyed by the other's world. If only Edward's world was much safer for Bella to live in. He knew he was risking her everyday to another vampire, outside of his family.
He couldn't help but to notice the eyes around him, it turned the corner of his lips down into a frown. Although he wasn't looking forward to this day back to school, he knew he wouldn't be alone and that his family was right behind him. He slowly turned his head and noticed Alice coming in towards the school, Edward held onto his strap of his bag while she moved closer, he could hear the thoughts of every human being that was here in school, others were thinking about an upcoming dance, some group of girls were thinking about boys, others were talking about SAT's, so much was going on in there human lives that they clearly had no idea what was really around him and that didn't bother him in the slightest, it was safer that way, it was suppose to be that way. He then turned his body and made his way towards Alice, he already knew Bella was here but he didn't want to face her right away, he knew there was complications in there relationship and he didn't want to talk about it.
"Hello Alice."[/b]
