It was eight pm and Tyra was speeding to Port Angeles on the highway. Hands clutched the staring wheel as she tapped her left foot lightly on the floor. The chilling sounds of a soprano voice mixed with the hard base of metal blared through her speakers. The sound of ‘I Wish I Had An Angel’ by Nightwish lifted her soul and amplified the adrenaline that was already pumping through her veins. She found herself humming to the familiar tone while two of her leopard song along in perfect harmony to the song. The energy in the car was ecstatic as the black leopard on the metaphysical plane swayed her long, sleek tail from side to side in anticipation. Hazel eyes glistened like rich honey suckles in the darkness as she scanned over her surroundings. They were close, so close to their destination. It has been a month since Tyra had bought Disturbed tickets for her and two other members of her Pard. The Nimir-Ra loved concerts just as much as she lived night clubs. Disturbed was one of her favorite bands and she wasn’t going to allow a concert that was in a nearby city slip though her hands again. Last time, reports had come to interview her at her club in St. Louis and simply did not have take to make it to the concert. Instead of wasting her ticket, Tyra sold it since no one in her Pard at the time were into the band. This time, she requested the day off and prayed that nothing would interrupt her plans.
She took the exit off of the highway and proceeded to the coliseum in which the concert would be held at. Port Angeles was like a blossoming flower at night that catered to students and those who liked to have a good time. Her tongue slid across her lips as she took a right at the light and contained down the main road. There were signs all over indicating that there was a concert at the arena. After a stressful month, the Leopard Queen needed an outlet for her to enjoy herself. She mediated daily and even when to clubs from time to time, but there was nothing like the energy of a concert to put someone in a better mood. Especially dealing with Mikel, Tyra needed it. She tried not to think about the charmer as Sherry mentioned what songs she hoped the band would play. Tyra also had a few favorites, but anything they played would have been fine with her. Tyra remained silent as she concentrated on her driving and her thoughts. The light turned green and she drove through the long, winding road that lead to the arena parking lot. Around and around they went until she found a level that wasn’t that crowded. She parked her car shut the engine off. Pulling her key out of the ignition, she placed it on her left hand and opened the door. Tyra stepped out of the car in knee high black four inched lacked up boots that had a buckle towards the ankle. Knee length leather shorts tucked into her boots to give the illusion that she had pants on. She sported a black leather halter top that zippered up the front which she left slightly unzipped to expose a bit of her cleavage. She had leather fingerless gloves on her hands that went to her elbow just to jazz up her outfit. Tyra wore a smoky gray eye shadow with flaming red lip gloss. From her eyes dangled red tear earrings which complimented her short spiky hair.
Sherry and Tameka closed their doors and Tyra pressed the locked button than hooked her keys to her pant’s loop. Her heels clicked on her cement as they walked to the elevator. The door opened and they all stepped in. ”I’m way excited Tyra. Thanks to you, I would have neve’ gotten into Disturbed. Have ya’ seen them before in concert?,” she asked curiously as the elevator door opened. ”I try my best to share the wealth of my music,” she giggled and then winked. ”Sadly no I haven’t. Had a missed opportunity last time. Things happen/” Tyra shrugged it off since it was a year ago. There was no reason on dwelling on it. As they walked into the open air, a slight breeze slid across her bare skin like silk. It moved with her as they entered the coliseum. The door shut behind them as bright lights beamed in their faces. Screams and chit chatter was heard around them by excited fans. People were lined up at the booths to by Disturbed t-shirts and key chains while others were in line, waiting to get a good stop. They made their way through the cluster of people and entered the extremely long line. Tyra was grateful that she had patience to stand in line, but she knew the line would die down quickly. In the mean time, she spoke with Sherry and Tamika about music to kill time.
Within twenty minutes it was their turn to in front of the usher who took their tickets at a booth. They were given the other half of their ticket and right hand stamped as they were allowed to enter the place where all the action would take place. Hundreds of bodies rubbed and pushed against each other as they were trying to find a place closest to the stage. The three had to shove their way through to a relatively good stop that wasn’t too far from the stage, but not close enough to hurt their sensitive ears. Her heart started to beat faster as the time was winding down. More and more people started to pile in. Disturbed would be the opening band for Slipknot, which was another band she loved. Her complicated month had worked up to this moment. Only five minutes left.

If Logan were human he most defiantly would have been sweating like a pig by now. Just the energy around everyone throughout the hundreds of people was exhilarating. The lights, the music, everything was absolutely perfect for this concert. Logan was sure he was early to the concert. From the moment he heard about it, Logan just couldn’t help but get excited for it. He needed it as a break from his harsh reality. It had been the first break since he had been a teen, before the marines. Plus the transformation into a vampire didn’t really help the situation much. Yes there was indeed much added stress since his teenage years, but all that wasn’t going to be thought of now, not here while having fun. Of course this would also help him to control his thirst for human blood. Luckily, Logan had hunted before this whole ordeal so that everything would be safer, if only a little bit.
This concert was and is amazing. Logan’s favorite band was in town, Disturbed. Disturbed always had a fantastic beat no matter what song they were playing. The vibrations always were calming in a way, they made you feel safe while giving you a carefree and exciting atmosphere at the same time. Almost everyone was pretty friendly to one another at these things because for once everyone was there for the same reason. It was pretty cool when you thought about it. Logan was pretty close to the stage, wanting to get a bit closer. Then again it was the humans who really needed that certain distance because of their weak eyesight and hearing abilities.
He wore a leather jacket with a black t-shirt, dark jeans, and black shoes. Eyeing people around him, Logan couldn’t help but stare at some of the people. Not only were there gorgeously sexy women around him but there were also some crazies. It was quite comical actually. Some people already managed to get drunk, some sort of achievement counted upon by the human race. I remember that… Logan said, smirking to himself. Sometimes it was nice to let go once in a while. Maybe tonight would be like losing himself for a little while, just enough to have some fun. Of course it defiantly would have been extremely nice to have a beer with everyone else...technically he could but what would be the point? Logan wasn’t a big drinker anyway so it wasn’t like it mattered either. He moved to the screams of the stereos of the introducing band until finally a familiar band’s tones started blasting themselves through the audience’s barriers.
Letting a few of his own yells of happiness toward the stage, Logan felt the energy that burst through the crowd. This was obviously what they were waiting for. Hell, this was why they were there! Logan felt himself getting pumped up, as if there was actually adrenaline flowing in his veins even though it was physically beyond impossible. He found himself then glancing toward his right, looking at an attractive young women standing there also. Turning his head back toward the stage, a voice popped into his mind. Do something dude! The voice called. Something else told him not to. Oh come on man! The luring voice added again. And then when it seemed like the voice’s prayers had been answered, Logan was caught off guard when someone pushed him roughly enough to stammer him, hitting the women next to him. Normally that wouldn’t happen but tonight his guard was completely down, he strictly wanted fun. Reaching out to help steady the girl, in case she needed it, Logan started to apologize.
”I’m sorry miss! This idiot over there must be drunk dazing about being in a freakin’ marathon or something…” {sorry for the lateness!}

The crowd roared with excitement. Four minutes; three minutes; the audience was on a count down. Lights of green and yellow hue started to roam around the stage. Arms went up in the air holding drinks and flames from lighters. Two minutes; people started to shove their way closer to the stage. Tyra managed to hold her ground as her leopards were in arm distance away from her. The heightened energy flowed through her as if she was a vessel. Something within her thrived the adrenaline; the power. Her breathing quickened as her tongue ran across her lips to slightly moisten them. Hazel eyes deepened as bodies continued to push and shove. Obscene words were heard throughout the crowd that only could be heard by acute hearing. Arguments started not far from her as unconsciously, her magick started to work the crowd. Drinks were thrown as people started to focus on the fight more than the stage. The contagious strumming of the electric guitar mixed with the steady beat of the drums started as a misty large black figure with a green haze around him stood as a giant on stage. The lights started to flicker wildly, and then it all stopped. The lights went out and the crowd screamed. That rush of energy caused the fight to turn into an outbreak. More and more people started to get involved. To ordinary eyes, it would have seen like a mush pit was stirring, but Tyra knew the truth without looking. Bounces started to move through the tight-knit crowd as they tried to reach the center of the massive crowd of excited fans. Tameka and Sherry looked around; sensing that something had went very wrong. Tyra’s eyes were fixated on the blackened stage, unconsciously aware on what was happening.
Suddenly, a sharp impact caught her off guard. She found herself stumbling a bit as hands reached out to stable her. She blinked rapidly a voice boomed out and the whole stage lit up with an explosion of lights. As it died down, red and yellow pulsated in waves on the stage. Tyra was snapped out of her trance as her magick coiled into herself. The bouncers never reached the fight because it had subsided. What had happened? The Nimir-Ra was confused, but she knew she had done something, but just didn’t know what. With a frown on her face that quickly faded away, she looked at the man who had caught her. Even with the flickering lights, she could tell he was pale; deadly pale. The stench of vampire floated under her nostrils. She listened to him speak as she waved her hand as if to say that she understood. ”No problem. At least you apologized. Most people would have been rude. Things like this happens at concerts all the time,” she said loudly, but knew she did not have to yell since his hearing was just as acute as hers. Tyra hated rude people and the fact that the vampire apologized meant something to her.
As she tried to study the man’s face, he looked no older than twenty-five from what she could tell. Tyra knew he was older than that, but probably was roughly no older than one hundred years. There were signs, but she could have been wrong. They both lived in a world that they stayed secret among humans. The leopard queen had no problems with vampires, even though it was well known that shifters and vampires did not get along. She wasn’t a shifter, but a lot of vampires through lycanthropes into that category. There was something different about this vampire since he had actually spoken to her. A smirk registered on her face as she started to jerk her body to the music. Her two leopards were in the own world, not paying attention to her. The man bumping into her hadn’t explained what she had none while in a trance. She remembered feeling power and that she loved the taste of it. Something had started to grow in her in the dark corner of her mind. Her first person that popped in her mind was Mikel. She whipped that thought away and turned back to the stage. The lead singer had started to sing as she started to move to the music. ”Are you a big fan of theirs or is this your first time? I know Slipknot if after them, which is an amazing combination. Hell, we need more power bands coming together. Talk about how quickly the concert would be sold out,” she said to the vampire. ”I’m Tyra by the way,” she added. It was rude to talk to someone without speaking your name in her opinion.

”No problem. At least you apologized. Most people would have been rude. Things like this happens at concerts all the time,” Logan nodded to her with another smile. This girl was a type of shifter of course but she didn’t have the scent a wolf had. Wolves by far had the worst stench upon them than any of the creatures but Logan wasn’t phased by shifters. He knew that most vampires were enemies of shifters but in Logan’s eyes you should only be their enemy if you were hassled by them first, otherwise there was no point. He didn’t quite understand the whole point of hatred between the shifters and the vampires. They didn’t even know each other. Maybe they were just angry toward each other because of the smells the both of them contributed to make the other want to stay clear.
Logan shook the thoughts from his head, Not now you idiot., he scolded. He was supposed to be having a carefree and happy evening, his mind was allowed on break for now. There was a sudden uproar among the crowd now as Logan turned to the stage to see the lead singer taking his place in the array of sound. Logan let out a loud cheer and clapped his hands. This was so great, being back at a concert again. It had been so long, now it was time to let loose again. Moving his body to the beats of the singer and the energy among the band, he turned his head toward Tyra as she started talking.
”Are you a big fan of theirs or is this your first time? I know Slipknot if after them, which is an amazing combination. Hell, we need more power bands coming together. Talk about how quickly the concert would be sold out,” She said loudly to him. The good news was that Logan could hear what she was saying at a different volume than the humans could, so it wasn’t like any of them were barging into their conversation and it didn’t have to be filled with “WHAT!?”s and “HUH?!”s. ”I’m Tyra by the way,” The girl introduced. That was a rare name, Logan hadn’t heard that too often. Actually in grade school he had friend named Tyra, but she moved away in 3rd grade.
”That’s a beautiful name.” He complimented. ”I’m Logan. Yeah, I’m a HUGE fan of disturbed. Used to listen to it all the time when I was in the Marines, all of us did. It always managed to carry a thrilling beat. Slipknot I’m not as familiar with, but I’ve listened to a few of their songs.” Logan called back to Tyra. ”Sold out?! They would have to extend this place about 15 more miles long! Anywhere within a few hundred feet would be mobbed! I’m really surprised they came here actually, but its about time Washington learned to rock out instead of listening to that Justin Bieber thing squeal up on stage. If they call that music why don’t they just take a baby with a microphone and sit it on stage?”
Logan commented. It was weird that people actually enjoyed that ‘music’. It was impossible for him to comprehend, that was for sure. Rock music such as this just had so much energy within it. There was no fighting a beat for rock music, there was no way. Even if you had a heart of stone, or no heart at all, it was simply impossible. This was music, this was it. Nights like these Logan thanked his vampire abilities for being able to hear the concert over the roar of the crowd unlike previous concerts. That was always the worst, not being able to hear the concert you spent so much money on to attend. {omg I'm so sorry for not responding sooner! I have been so busy with the new school and all that, but i think I'm good now =P}[/size]

Tyra’s body swayed from side to side as she moved with the beats of the heavy bass and the drums. The music ran through her body as the lightening on the stage changed between red and blue. She listened to the words of the song as for some reason; it reminded the Nimir-Ra of her own life. Things within herself were changing as much as she hated to admit it. Slowly, the darkness was opening a door within her soul and it was finding a way to be released. Doors had been opened that had been locked for most of her life; her family made sure of that. The movement of her body slowed as she thought back to what Mikel had said after she regained consciousness. ” You will hurt the ones you love, hurt the ones closest to you. It is the curse of all of us.” he said. That statement haunted her for she couldn’t fathom hurting the ones that were dear to her such as her Pard. If she was there to protect them, then how could she muster the courage to hurt them? She did not understand it, but it seemed like the band was singing to her. Get up, come on get down with the sickness Get up, come on get down with the sickness Get up, come on get down with the sickness Open up your hate, and let it flow into me Tyra remember the other charmer mentioning hatred and anger were the only true emotions. A frown crossed her face as she stared at the leader singer moving around on stage and the continuous explosion of flashing lights. The Leopard Queen was suppose to be at the concert to escape from her hectic reality and yet, she was reminded once more that the changes in her life were real. She did believe there was a reason why everything happened, but it was too ironic that she enjoyed a song that almost spoke about herself. Maybe she was over analyzing the song, which was possible, but not likely. A charmer’s curse was like a disease and for the first time since she had been told of what she truly was, Tyra had felt like that disease was spreading. The light within her was trying to keep out the darkness; both channeling into different types of emotions. A sigh escaped her lips as she realized that the man that was a vampire had spoken. A smile spread across her lips as he mentioned that he was a fan and had even given a little back story of his life as a human. Tyra wondered how long he was in the marines for, but it was a question she did not want to ask in the middle of a concert. ”Thank you,” she said as he commented on her name and gave his back. ”Nice to meet you, Logan. Slipknot is an amazing band and maybe a bit darker than Disturbed, but in my opinion those two go hand in hand. They have done hundreds of concerts together,” she said. A lot of people liked one or the other, but she was part of that tiny percentage that enjoyed both hands equally. The crowd continued to go wild behind her as the band went into the bridge of the song. It was almost a rap with a lot of profanity. That portion of the song had no relation to her, but was still interesting to listen to. When she had first heard the song, Tyra was taken back about how much anger the bridge had and yet it fit in perfectly with the song. She could hear fans behind her singing along as the bodies bounced to the beats. Devils horns were held up around them as heads nodded. A chuckle escaped her lips as her hazel eyes widened. ”There would be on word to describe on how amazing and crazy it would be. Hell, probably would be bigger than Ozzfest which is huge! I’ve been a few times,” she admitted. ”Justin who?,” she asked playfully. ”I agree with you. He needs to grow up then come back into the industry. What does a thirteen year old know about love and adult things? Nothing, but it is making him money.” The Nimir-Ra shrugged and looked towards the stage as the song was near to ending. Once it did, the leader singer started to speak and Tyra used that time to her advantage. ” Seems like there are a lot of us hiding in the crowd. Let’s just hope that fights don’t break out because of petty differences. Her head shook while she rolled her eyes. ”Though I smell less of what you are and more of what I am not. Both crowds always had to mess things up and yet humans are blind to what is going on around them. Hidden drama that isn’t needed. Can’t you feel it?,” she asked as she stepped closer to Logan. Maybe it was just her, but she felt the anger in the crowd between the groups and actually enjoyed it in a strange way.
