personality: Marcus loves flying, it doesn't matter if its in his animal form or in a plane hes addicted to it. The feeling of soaring across the sky is like a drug to him. This had led to him being rather outgoing and easily excited ready for a fight or to speed off at a moments notice.
Military life however has done much to curb that enthusiam, focusing it on his love of flying it has made him an ace in the skies and earned him the call sign Warlock for the almost magical maneuvers he can pull off in a jet.
detailed history: Marcus is the last surviving member of his tribe, a tribe whose name he doesn't even know. His parents once told him they were spread out over the entire African continent however poaching and hunting has almost killed them all. Now only Marcus' parents remain and his father has long since stopped shifting. Marcus himself only shifts whenever he has gone a long time without flying.
At the age of 18 he enrolled in the Royal Canadian Airforce and quickly earned his pilots wings, he has since served two tours in afghanistan and a long of list of succesful kills in simulated dogfights. One Colonel once noted that Marcus' flying was almost spooky, his simulated dogfights usually ending in him succeeding in taking down aircraft with superior maneuverability and electronics.
With his ability behind the controls of outdated aircraft well known it didn't take long for some to wonder what his true potential was. As a result his superiors decided to send him on an exchange program of sorts with the US Airforce where he would be put to use testing new aircraft for them, testing their limits and showing potential customers just what these aircraft were capable of. Lately he has been testing a new design of aircraft by Boeing designed to replace the F-22 Raptor in 30 years. The plane is a fusion of russian and American aircraft design taking the best of both and combining them into an airframe some believe to be impossible. The development of this fighter is being done in complete secrecy until such a time that it is perfected.
As to his heritage Marcus has vowed to never let it go to waste. He commonly takes time off to simply fly about the woods, his animal form being a massive hawk. His parents actively encourage this as it shows that maybe their bloodline will not end with him and one day the giant hawks of Africa may fly again.
