marionette settled into her chair, which stood at the very back of the throne room. she kept her eyes toward the high ceiling, watching the sunlight dance through the stain glass and onto the stone above. the colors were beautiful and vibrant, mesmerizing even. she pulled her eyes down, looking about the empty room. she was frustrated with lucius and his constant badgering. he always asked why she was not on her throne or inside of her quarters, instead of being outside. well, today, he got his wish. it was too bright to step out into the beauty that was the city. so, mari simply sat in her chair, a large book upon her lap. it's dusty pages were open, revealing a neat russian text.
her red eyes danced over the words. her mouth murmured what they said in perfect russian. she watched her page for a few more moments before looking up toward the door. she felt pent up and restless. she wanted to run. she wanted to feel the sunlight. hell, she even felt like sparkling. she was honestly that bored. slamming her book shut, and getting a face full of dust, marionette stood up, stepping lightly down the few stairs to the floor. she reached up, pulling her long hair into a long tie, which was secured neatly and tightly. her mind drifted off to andrei, and she smiled slyly to herself. the younger vampire seemed to have stolen her heart. how it happened, even marionette didn't know.
she sighed, stepping from the room and into the cold hallway. she ran her fingers along the stone as she went, looking at the floor. her expression was one of absorption. she was caught up in her thoughts, too deeply to respond to the rare "hello" that she acquired on her way past a volturi room. pulling herself out of her thoughts, she realized that she was on the very far end of the castle, near one of the towers. she glanced to the door that closed in the narrow staircase, deciding it best not to give into the little temptations that she felt. rounding another corner, she suddenly skipped around someone, careful not to bump into whoever it was. "oh...i'm sorry. i wasn't watching where i was headed..." she murmured softly.

He has spent the majority of the day in his room, as he flipped through a book slowly. It was a book of Russian children stories, and he occasionally read it when he was bored, it helped him remember his childhood and some of the stories that his mother once told him when he was young were within the pages and he read those the most. Granted he did have several other books as well, he was well read but he often grew bored and resorted to the pages of the small children stories he held in his hands.
After a few moments of reading it he was done reading them, his thoughts had drifted on to Marionette Romanov, the woman he had fallen for, though he didn't know how or why it had happened, it just had. He fought it for awhile, not really knowing what those feelings were but after some time he had decided not to. As the thought for several more minutes bout this he decided to go find her and he stood up and walked out of his room and went on a search for her, with his tracker sense in use he started after her but he wasn't in a rush to find her, he knew he would eventually.
It wasn't until she got to the more far side of the castle that he grew curious and he switched directions so he would pop up in front of her and when she rounded the corner she bumped into his sturdy chest and he looked down with a small smile. "Not a problem your highness... I shouldn't have been stalking around the castle...." he laughed softly as he looked down at her. " You seemed deep in thought, mind of I ask about what?" he asked softly.

marionette placed her hands against his chest for a few moments. she knew that if she possibly could blush, she would be. she looked up with gentle red eyes at andrei, giving an affectionate growl. she processed his words silently, mulling over them for only a few seconds before she spoke. "so you were stalking me around the castle?" she mused tenderly. she stood on her tiptoes, placing a peck on his cheek before she stepped away from him. she was simply glowing with energy suddenly, and her features gave every little secret away.
she stepped around him, motioning for her to follow him before she spoke again. "well, i was thinking how much i'd like to go into the sun for a few minutes. i was tempted to go up to the tower and stand there, but i figured that some humans may not appreciate it." she laughed softly, seeming amused by the prospect of freaking the humans out. the thought was inviting, and she resisted the urge to head on up to the top of the tower. instead, she turned back around to face andrei. "may i request your company for a while, dear andrei?" she murmured, seeming rather shy now.
she knew she'd fallen for him, but that didn't keep her from being shy about it. she hadn't felt like this for anyone in over two thousand years. she was nervous that she would say or do the wrong things. she just hoped that andrei was understanding when it came to marionette and how she achieved things. she pushed her blonde hair off her shoulders, watching her lover with a sweet and inviting gaze. she wasn't always this loving. she could be a bitch a lot of the time, but that was just who she was. if andrei could put up with her attitude, then she believed all would be well with them.

A small smile crossed the tall Russians face as she kissed his cheeks, he'd be blushing if he could. He was also quite glad that she had fought the urge to go out to the roof top. "I appreciate you staying inside.... Otherwise I would not have been able to join you." he said softly. Andrei has a great distaste for being as sparkly as a disco ball and he didn't hide it. Then again most vampires hated that their skin looked like it was embedded with thousands of tiny diamonds when they stepped into the sunlight. There there were the few, much like Marionette, that didn't mind sparkling. she actually enjoyed the sunlight and didn't mind looking like she was a young child's arts and crafts project which got covered in mass amounts of glitter.
He bit his lip at her request and in the end nodded. He should probably be taking care of her second in command but at the moment he didn't quite feel like dealing with the Volturi's second in command and he'd much rather spend time with Marionette Romanov, who just happened to be the first in command so he couldn't possibly get in trouble for this. Who wouldn't rather spend time time with their lover over the vampire that was much like a teenage boy. "I'm supposed to make sure Hayden is okay but I'm sure the boy can defend himself for awhile while I am with you." He smiled as he turned to face her. "Where to?" he asked with a small smirk.
