A lot had changed lately in the life of Brooke Knight, after the successful launch of her fashion line she had become progressively more busy as the days went on and she hardly had time for a life outside of work, though she did make weekly trips to a night club so she could have her way with a man as she had done for the part sixty-six years. There were few times she would cancel her schedule but this was on of those time that she would, she had gotten a call from her best friend, and possibly the only person she would put business off for, Olivia Thorne.
It was the middle of the day and the sky was cloudy as Brooke sat in the booth in the back of a small coffee shop after a morning filled with working, her fingers tapping impatiently over the table top as she waited. Brooke suggested a place not far from her office in case she had to go back to work. In front of her sat a cup of coffee, untouched due to a her great distaste for it since she was a vampire. She had expected Liv to be late, she was busy planning her wedding after all. She swirled the cup around and sighed as she looked at her phone for the time. She quickly typed out a text, 'Are you coming? You know I am busy this time of the year. Please hurry up...' she sent it to Liv and continued to wait. She bit her lip and took the book she had brought with her off the seat beside her and opened to where she had left off and read, hoping her friend would arrive soon.

Olivia walked at a fast pace down the crowded streets of Seattle. Normally Olivia would never rush or even walk for the matter but she was running late, as usual. Olivia had a terrible sense of time and no matter what she did to arrive early it never worked out in her favor. A few times her best friend, Brooke Knight, had teased her claiming she wouldn't be surprised if she was late to her own wedding. Olivia couldn't argue with that and just laughed. Although lately she hadn't been able to spend as much time with her best friend as she would like to, one reason why Olivia had asked Brooke to meet up with her. She was already in Seattle dealing with the arrangements of her wedding and was at a store just down the street from the coffee shop she knew Brooke was waiting at, and even though she walked as fast as she could without knocking people over she felt her phone vibrate in her purse. 'Are you coming? You know I am busy this time of the year. Please hurry up...' Just as she read the message and let out a slight groan she looked up and saw she was already there and quickly walked inside. It didn't take long for Olivia to find Brooke sitting at a booth in the back, the preferred spot for most vampires it seemed. She sat down and let out a sigh as she set her bags down on the seat beside her. "I'm sorry to pry you away from your busy and exciting life but I was starting to think you had forgotten all about me..." she said with a small frown although she wasn't serious at all she couldn't help her natural sarcastic nature. The waitress approached the table but Olivia did not have the time or care to order something she had no need for. Without even looking at her she waved her hand to the waitress, shooing her off as if she was one of her own servants. The waitress opened her mouth to say something but out of the corner of her eye she looked over at the girl and suddenly the waitress got the message, with wide eyes she quickly turned around and scampered away.
