Lilith Rain EdanCharacter Play-by: Emilie DeRavin
name:lilith rain edan age: eighteen gender:female orientation:straight race: werewolf birthplace:La Push current location:Forks occupation:cafe waitress
personality: SWEET: Even werewolves have a more gentler side. With the disapproval of killing any living being she tends to be a lot weaker than other werewolves. A heart that's too big can hardly fit into a small woman right? Wrong. This is mostly why she isn't part of a pack. When it comes to any person, human or wolf, she can converse with ease. A problem solver and advice giver can be friends with anyone. INTELLIGENT: A lot of free time and a lot of reading can be the difference between Lily and most of her friends. Quiet and reserved, she likes the company of herself and her books. Mostly reading about myths and legends, she has always found Fork's history intriguing. Other than reading she loves walking in the woods. Taking notes of different plants, herbs, and animals she loves to learn about the world around her. She feels more comfortable around nature than her own race. INSECURE: The most prettiest face can often sometimes be the saddest. Ever since her father passed she hasn't been able to transform without breaking down into a panic attack. Always afraid of people watching, knowing about her, and even seeing her transform. Every human she has tried to tell, runs away. It breaks her heart and she decides to shield herself off. Or at least until a wolf or human sweeps her off her paws. =] NAIVE: Even with as much knowledge she knows, there are times to where she "slips". With more balls than most of her friends, she always tends to get herself into trouble. Her scars are a reminder of how naive she can really be. No matter how much trouble she gets into, she always pulls herself out. Or at least someone comes to her rescue. OPEN-MINDED: When it comes to other people and their secrets, she doesn't like to judge. How can she judge someone when she has her own dark secrets. She believes if you can't have an open mind, don't open your mouth. And normally it works. She has yet to come across anyone that can handle her situation. Although it is a matter of time before Lily can open herself up. detailed history: Born on a sunny summer day, Lily was introduced to the Edan family on July 2nd, 1989. With white hair and baby blues, her mother knew she was going to look like her. Her father had hoped that she might look more like him, a little disappointed, he soon got over it when he first set eyes on his little baby girl. A soft spot grew in her dad's heart that was there even after he died. She was born and raised in La Push, along with her father, mother, and her uncle. Those were the three most important people in her life. And the most influential. They taught their little girl everything about their family and heritage at an early age. Her father was proud to be a shape-shifter and often was a little too proud. If it wasn't for her mother keeping her father in line, he probably would have been dead years earlier.
As Lily grew, she started to open her eyes a little more to the world. More books came more knowledge. Ever since she could read she held a book in her hands. She even had but a few friends because of this. But it wasn't that fact that she was reading that scared her mother. But the type of books. Legends, mythology, and books about different creatures. Karen, Lily's mother was afraid she would become too involved in something she didn't know. She was especially scared if she had inherited her father's genes. And she did. When she was the rightful age she transformed for her first time, almost loosing all control. Lily didn't like the change at all. She loved her father's heritage, but secretly didn't want it for herself. When her father found out he was ecstatic. Proud that his baby girl was just like him, he immediately told his brother, Avari. Both Avari and Lily's mother was scared that one day this part of her might actually get herself killed or worse. And unfortunately that day did come. One day at school she was sitting by a tree, reading a book. She had a free period and was all alone. Not anyone else was in sight, until a group of students walked up to her. A group of Jocks with nothing better to do started to taunt her and trying to have their way with her. After she tried to walk away they became angry. They grabbed her arm and swung her around with a force that left a bruise on her arm. In a split second something snapped in her head. A boiling rage built up inside her. She drew the strength from within and changed into a wolf. Three of the guys were severely injured while the other two ended up in a deep coma. Lily was torn to pieces when she realized what she did. She knew she had to never let that happen again. And so did her parents.
At the age of 17, her father told her that he had to leave for a while. Although heartbroken, he promised her he would come back, but he never did. Lily's mother refuses to tell her how he really died. She says that there was something wrong inside his body, making him sick. But she didn't believe that for a minute. She was smarter than that. Something tells her he did not die on his own. But has no way to actually know. They never found his body. Lily was stricken with grief for a whole year afterward. Her father was her everything. The only connection to the "other world". Now that her father is gone all she has left is her mother and uncle. Although her uncle, her fathers brother, is just like his brother. But although he can change, he doesn't enjoy it just as much as her father did. Another reason why she doesn't like to change. But they had to face the facts. There was no possible way to live around the fact she changed into a wolf when the moon was full. Her uncle Avari did however, with the promise from his brother, taught Lily how to control herself. How to change at will, whenever needed and ONLY when needed. But when the months full moon comes up, there is no choice. She slowly but eventually learned how to control her anger and violence when that moment did arise. Keeping to herself in wolf form, she luckily has avoided all human contact during her phasing.
Now 18 and out of high school she mostly keeps to herself in her small apartment in Forks. After graduation she had to move out of her parents house. Her mother was driving her insane with the whole vampire and werewolf thing. Without her father is was hard to think about those things. Since her father died she hadn't even picked up a book about those things in a year. But now with more freedom, she hopes to either find someone who will accept her or who might actually overcome her fear. fears: losing her mother and uncle killing or hurting another person again strengths: running listening her memory weaknesses: silver too nice shy likes:the ocean the moon California animals...wolves in particular guys that aren't scared of her dislikes:tight spaces cemetery's ignorant & closed-minded people changing into a wolf hurting a living being

roleplay sample: Drip. Drop. Drip. Drop. The rain sang a little melody of its own on Lily's windowpane. It was the only music she had heard in a long while. She had just started attending the University again as a Junior. Normally she would of graduated by now but she waited to go to school. She had mixed emotions about going back to school after high school. Nursing has always been her passion but lately she's been out of focus. She loves to help people but on the occasion she wasn't too confident in her studying skills. Maybe that wasn't something to tell anyone about. No patient wants to hear 'Hi, I'm your nurse for the day. I’m sorry that I don't know what I'm doing. But I'll do the best I can.' "No Lilith, you have to be confident." she said softly to herself. Taking deep and slow breaths she tried to get those thoughts out of her head.
She sat up on her creaky bed and signed. Looking at her bedside she looked at the picture of her parents and Luke in the small frame on her end table. A smile came to her face. Her family always made her feel more at peace. She threw her legs over the bed and walked to her vanity. With a clap all the lights in the room lit, making the room easier to see. Starring into the ill lit mirror, all she could see were her bright blue eyes and messy hair. "Wow. I really have to fix this mess." she said as she played with her hair. Moving her face from side to side, pouting her lips, and removing old make-up.
She glanced at the clock behind her and noticed it actually wasn't that late. Only 12:30 and she couldn't go back to sleep. It has been happening a lot lately though. She pinned her hair up and applied eyeliner, mascara, and her usual red lipstick. Quickly grabbing a pinstripe skirt with a frilled white top. Low black high heels also tended to feel very comfortable. She never really like sneakers but only wore them to work. It was either heels or bare foot. Both were good to her. Since the weather was nice and warm she felt no need for a jacket. It was nice to feel cool fresh air when the streets and parks were deserted. A nice time for a walk. The lake sounded like the perfect place. 12:45 and she was out the door.
