In-depth Analysis
Personality: Dahlia is a very generous and forgiving person. Having been brought up to help and entertain other's she often feels affected by other's moods very easily and is sensitive to her surroundings. She hates seeing people cry or angry and will often try to make things lighter and happier. Although Dahlia is a people person and can get along with pretty much anyone, she also is a strong animal lover and often prefers their company over a human's.
Dahlia is very open minded and mature, having lived longer then anyone she knows and has traveled she learned quite a bit. Knowing 6 languages (French, Italian, Japanese, Chinese, and Russian) and various instruments Dahlia was not just a looker, but she has smarts too. But as smart as she was she was also extremely confident. It wasn't hard for her to approach a random stranger or perform the most difficult of tasks. She also had a tenancy to speak before thinking, something she found hard to control. She is controlled by her emotions and but she will most likely try to hide her depression or sadness with a smile.
On the outside Dahlia is a very energetic and positive person, but on the inside she is still hurting from the deaths of her family and the loss of her first love. She has never been able to stay into a relationship for long and finds it hard for her to become intimate with anyone unless she trusts them with her life and even then she has trouble getting too close to just anyone. She's a free spirit and isn't used to staying in one place for too long, making it hard to hold possible romances. Dahlia is also fiercely independent and has never had to depend on anyone to take care of her since she left the circus. She lives off of instinct and her knowledge of the world to survive and often times follow her gut feeling, which has yet to do her wrong.
Detailed history: Born on a warm and rainy night a small figured woman was giving birth to her second child. Unlike her first pregnancy this one only lasted just a few weeks. Dahlia's parent's were dumbfounded as to why this pregnancy was so different. It could have been the fact that her mother was raped by a vampire but at the time they knew nothing of the sort. After a few hours and alot of screaming Dahlia was born into the world, a short while afterwards her mother passed away from internal bleeding. Stricken with grief her father cursed the man who had done this to his wife, but no matter how much he should have he could never hate Dahlia. He took her in as if she was his own, knowing his wife would want him to keep her. Still unaware of what she was he took care of her just like his own daughter but it wasn't until she started growing as fast as she did in her mother's stomach did they really start to ask questions.
Dahlia spent most of her childhood on the road. Her parents worked for the Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Circus. Her father was the elephant trainer while her mother was a trapeze artist before her death, something she admired about the mother she had never met. She loved her life and the large family she was surrounded by on a daily basis. Even though everyone knew she was different they all loved and cherished her nonetheless. Odd and strange was nothing new to these people and to them they found Dahlia extremely special.
For years she had no idea who or what she was. She could never figure out why she was stronger then the other children, her skin glowed slightly in the sunlight and her body was warmer then most. Then one day after a show she was approached by a tall and mysterious looking man. At the time she was only five but to other's she appeared to be ten. He claimed to be her true father and wanted to take her back with him. She refused and without any trouble the man nodded and left. But he didn't leave without telling her what she really was. From that moment on she knew that her family was right, she was special.
When Dahlia turned 6, appearing at the age of 15 she joined the circus as a worker, taking on her mother's position that had been left empty ever since her death. They could never find anyone as talented as her, making it difficult to replace her. But Dahlia knew she could take on the responsibility. Feeling as if she owed something to her mother she practiced for years to try and perfect the art. Unlike her mother though, Dahlia had better balance, along with a high tolerance for pain whenever she would fall. Within time she grew to become one of the best and most sought out attractions at the Circus. People loved to see her perform flips and stunts on just a thin piece of wire and Dahlia loved it too.
Around that time she had caught the attention of one of the other boys that had grown up with the Circus as well. They were childhood friends, of course all the children got along. It wasn't until he reached the same age as her did he start to acquire feelings for the hybrid. They went out on dates, spent as much time together as possible and after some time fell in love. He wanted to leave the circus and start a family but she wanted something else. She was still afraid of what she had done to her mother and feared she would go through the same thing. Instead she wanted to remain with the only family she knew and continue to perform. Dahlia didn't age like the other's and figured she could take her time with her life and wanted to continue working before settling down. He however knew that with every passing day he was getting older and as much as he loved her he couldn't stand to be there anymore. With an understanding they both broke it off and he left the Circus, and left Dahlia with a broken heart.
A few months later Dahlia's life would change drastically. On July 6th, 1944 a fire broke out in the tent that held the Circus. They tried to put the fire out, but they only ended up making it worse. 100 people died that day, including Dahlia's father and sister. Dahlia survived thanks to her ability to heal faster then others, but it was then that she finally started to despise what she was. She wished she could have been the one to have died instead of her family but there was nothing she could do. Depressed and heartbroken for the first time since she was born she didn't want to be around the constant reminder of the good ol' days and eventually left the Circus behind.
Since then she is traveling across the world, visiting other countries and meeting new people. But no matter where she went she can never escape the life she had once loved and the people she had left behind. Through the years she had found it to be a bit easier to live once she knew that everyone she had loved was now dead, but the memories of everything in her past still haunt her till this day.

It was a semi sunny day in Forks, breaking the chain of rainy and cloudy days the small town is known for. Dahlia didn't visit Forks much but this time it was for a reason. The circus was coming into town next week and the deadline for tickets was today. Although it wouldn't be the same set of people she grew up with she still loved to watch the shows and see the acts, reminding her of the golden days that she dearly missed. The lights, the sounds of the crowd and the excitement in their claps and ahh's whenever a performer did something amazing, it all made her feel more comfortable and at home. The thought of being back home, although the people are different the atmosphere is the same, it excited her to the point she couldn't sleep a wink the night before. Feeling too antsy to wait she hurried out the door and headed out of her suite in Seattle and towards Forks.
The traffic wasn't that bad so it didn't take long for her to get into Forks and to the movie theater where the tickets were being sold. Dahlia personally didn't like going to the movies, mainly because of her grudge against them. She didn't hold a lot of grudges against people but this one she couldn't help. Before the fire that killed her father and sister along with most of her family the circus was starting to become less popular with the people. Motion picture films were all the rage, leaving the circus and freak shows behind to die. This upset her, even though her father had been afraid of it happening before it did she still was a bit shocked to see the people leaving the circus only to never return.
Once she arrived she parked the car on the side of the curb and walked into the theater. Inside there was a short line at the table set up in the main lobby so Dahlia thought she still had time to get her ticket. When it was finally her turn she paid for her ticket and with a smile she stepped out of line as she looked over it like a child with a golden ticket. Then a man tapped her on the shoulder and she turned to face him. He told her he had a ticket but could not go due to work. He had no children and was not married so he had no one to give the ticket too. He told her she looked more excited about it then any of his friends would have been so he decided to give her his ticket. She warmly thanked him and took it happily. But as happy as she was she didn't remember she had no one herself to take with her until he was already gone. For now she shrugged it off and figured she would figure something out before the carnival opened. Happy, she stepped outside of the theater and was about to tuck her tickets into her pockets when a man swooped by and snagged the tickets from her hands, bolting off into the crowd with the tickets. "Hey! she yelled back at the thief and was about to run after him.
