personality: Stern, rough, no fun. All these words easily describe Jill. This is the face she puts on when on duty, a result of her upbringing and her job. She constantly tries to fight gender stereotypes regarding her job and as a result it has made her rather frosty.
However when she isn't working shes a completely different person, seeming to be a young teenage girl. Very outgoing and willing to try new things she leads a very active sports life climbing, swimming, and hiking.
detailed history: Born in Seattle the daughter of a wealthy banker Jillian led a very charmed life. For much of her childhood she simply thought she would simply inherit the family business. It was when she was 16 did everything go wrong.
First the family bank went under, all the money suddenly drying up after a series of bad investments. This forced Jillian to reconsider her future, no longer able to fund her college education. The next year the more drastic disaster hit her family. In the dead of night an arsonist attacked their house. While Jill escaped unharmed his father and mother didn't. Her mother died, peacefully. Her father however suffered severe brain damage from smoke inhalation that rendered him a vegetable. Jill had to make the tough decision and decided to take him off life support knowing he would want that. Suddenly Jillian was an orphan and she was only 17.
For the next year she used the families remaining money to finish her grade twelve and fund her application to join the police force. For the next two years she trained herself finally becoming a police officer at the tender age of twenty. She is now stationed at Forks a simple cadet ready to learn but also ready to dispense justice.
She never did find out who burned down her home and family but it goes without saying that should she find out she would rip that person to shreds. She still has the burn marks from his attack on her body and would be eager to repay him or her in kind.
