personality: Gifted with the ability to love the people around her, though she also has a maternal ache. She willingly accepts new members into her coven. She is family motivated, shown by her protectiveness of Carlisle, her children, and Bella.

She is considered to be as intelligent as her husband. She is an artistic and creative person, having found her niche in renovating old homes. Too caring to be considered a snob.

detailed history: Esme Platt was born is 1895 in the outskirts of Columbus, Ohio. Little is known of her life up until the age of 16 when she met Carlisle Cullen. She had broken her leg while climbing a tree and Carlisle was the attending doctor. Carlisle soon left town but Esme never forgot the experience.

Esme had planned to move out west to become a school teacher but her parents had pressured her into staying and then marrying. It was then that she married Charles Evenson and she soon realized he was abusive. Despite the abuse Esme stayed with Charles to please her parents. Much to her relief, however, Charles was drafted during World War I and she lived a peaceful life during that time.

In 1920 Charles returned and the abuse continued, Esme had had enough and had broken free and run away. Soon there after she discovered she was pregnant with Charles's son and gave birth to him in 1921. The child died a few days after born due to a lung infection and Esme decided there was nothing left to live for. She jumped off a cliff and was presumed dead when brought to the morgue.

Carlisle Cullen was back in town and recognized the woman from ten years prior. He realized her heart as still beating and decided to take away her pain. Esme was turned by Carlisle and the pair soon fell in love and married. Esme has adopted Edward, Rosalie, Emmett, Alice, and Jasper has her own and is more than happy to accept Bella as her child as well.

Pointed ears perked up as he heard leaves crunch under gentle foot falls. Emerald colored eyes squinted as they c=scanned the darkness around him. The elven male knew something was coming and he swiftly pulled out his sword to expose its pearl color. His other hand was placed on the hilt of a small dagger that was usually hidden inside his tunic.
Even from her place in the sky she could see the pearly glint of her companion’s sword and without a seconds hesitation she swooped down and was by his side in seconds and landed gracefully despite her large size. The sun hit her scales, lite up the small clearing with spots of color identical to that of the sword; then again the sword was the same color as her scales after all.
There they stood, Dragon and Rider, awaiting their fate, awaiting what they knew was always coming. Both of them knew that someone was dying today; they both just hoped it wouldn’t be either of them but instead the Shade that slowly grew closer.
He gulped loudly and she nudged him to be quiet as her sensitive ears listened for how close the Shade was. He nodded and squinted into the darkness once more. Finally the deadly Shade entered the clearing and the pair tensed up.
“At last we meet.” The Elf said harshly. He had his sword drawn quite high and ready to strike when the shade moved. Beside him the dragon growled loudly, baring her teeth in warning. And thus the battle would begin
