JaneCharacter Play-by: Dakota Fanning
name:Jane age:She has been stuck in a teenager’s body for a large number of years, and she has stopped keeping count. gender: Female orientation: Straight race: Vampire, with the continuous thirst for human blood. birthplace: It has been a long, long time, with many memories she has kept as well as pushed out. She has forgotten her birthplace, as well as a large portion of her early life. current location: Volterra, Italy. occupation: Member of the Volturi Guard.
personality: Her menacing appearance is deeper than just her exterior image. She is truly sadistic. Her hostility keeps her strong and allows her to stick up for herself, as well as those loyal to her. Her hostility grows and prospers when anyone doubts her powers or attempts to thwart them. This does not go to say that she is power-hungry, but she has much confidence in her self and her powers. The fear she strikes with in the hearts of anyone she sets eyes on also keeps her relatively content.
Ironically, she seems happy and content when in the presence of Aro. Something about his presence and everything he had to offer her and her brother continues to stay strong with her, perhaps sparking the gleam of happiness. This does happiness only seems to apply to Aro, her brother, or when she has found an opportunity to use her power and inflict pain upon anyone, as well as respect she receives from anyone around her.
detailed history: There are not many things she has kept in her memory of her early life, partly because it has been too far gone and partly because she has no desire to be held down by humanistic thoughts. She can remember having a mother and a father, and of course her brother Alec, but she cannot remember anything about them. She does not recall if they were nurturing and caring or evil and sadistic like herself. But she does recall who had saved herself and Alec from a group of angry villagers, suspecting them of witchcraft. Aro had stepped in and burned the village, killing all of the villagers and saving the twins siblings.
Being pulled from the flames and ashes is still burned in the back of her mind and it is one memory she cannot erase. Nearly dead with a large number of burns all over her body, she can vividly recall Aro pulling her from the flame just after he did so to Alec. Her last few breaths of life struggled from her lungs, only lasting a moment before Aro poured life back into her. Through the suffering she had endured before and during the transformation from humanity into immortality, She gained the ability to inflict the mental illusion of the most agonizing, crippling pain of anyone she wishes at any moment she chooses. As soon as the Volturi discovered her ability, they knew they had struck gold with her, as well as her brother- who can inflict sensory paralysis upon anyone.
She joined the Guard with out hesitation, with a new found strength and power through out the world of vampires. At first, she was full of questions and even had doubts which only caused other Volturi to grow angry with her. Over time she learned to ask no questions and keep doubts to herself. It was better to leave the rules and the word of the Volturi alone- let it be. Jane grew envious of those on the Guard when she was still a newborn and worked hard, listening enough, and took in all of the information she could to get where she is today.
Her acceptance onto the Guard elated her, causing her need for respect and fear to grow. Proud and loyal, Jane does everything in best interest for the Volturi and serves Aro obediently. There has yet to be a time that she has disobeyed him, much less the rest of the Volturi, and she will continue to do so for the rest of her immortal life.
fears: She fears losing her power, as well as losing the respect she has worked so hard to get. Deep down beneath her stone heart Jane secretly fears losing her brother as well as Aro. strengths: Her illusionary pain, her ability to strike fear with in the hearts of all, and her loyalty. weaknesses:Though she does not wish to admit her weakness, much like her fears, Jane is weakened by her obsession of one day becoming the leader of the Volturi. She would never admit it, but she also holds a place in her heart for her brother and Aro, which remain human and silly to her. likes: The taste of the crimson human blood running down her throat, making Aro happy, killing those who are not loyal to the Volturi and their word, as well as torturing. dislikes: The Cullens and their almost complete disregard for the Volturi’s demands, rogue Vampires, and Bella Swan.
facial appearance: Her face is symmetrical and even all about, characterized by a nearly pointed nose, a bottom-heavy set of pale pink lips, and two wide, almond-shaped red eyes. Above those eyes sits a twin set of dirty blond, arched eyebrows. Her cheek bones are high and her overall facial shape is oval. A certain angelic grace dances on her face no matter her emotions. clothing: She dresses in traditional Volturi clothing, characterized by elegance. She can also be found in her black cloak, with a pair of slate leather boots or traditional, flat dress shoes. build:Jane is a tiny girl, with a seemingly frail figure. Paper thin, her body is nearly androgynous, and yet she is still beautiful. marks/scars: A few deep burn markings should be visible, but the imperfection and inhuman beauty she was given by her new life erased any trace of those markings. species appearance: She has already been described, but the only difference that can be mentioned here are her eyes. When she has recently been fed, her eyes are a deep red, as though the color of the blood has had been drinking. When hungry and thirsting, they are a black, almost lifeless color.

roleplay sample: The sky began to bleed as the sun began to retreat behind the exquisite buildings of Volterra and down behind the hills in the distance. The ending of the day only meant the start of the Volturi’s true activities. Volterra never felt colder than it did at night, when they easily prayed on wandering humans. The last set of tourists were being escorted to the lowest point of the facility as she caught scent of them. It never quite sat right with her- allowing humans with in their domain, but it was only for their benefit. Smirking comfortably to herself, she turned on her heel and made way to the council chamber.
Taking the lightest, most elegant of steps down the halls, she walked with a blank face as mischief danced in her crimson eyes. Adorn in her black cloak and sigil of the Volturi hanging effortlessly around her neck, Jane paced the hallway with her usual arrogance following her. It was her right to be arrogant, as well as to be feared. She had the power to make them suffer- any of them- and she would do so if she wanted.
Aro’s recognizable, light voice filled her ears and her grin cracked up her cheeks once more. His familiar frame became clearer and clearer as she made a beeline for him and the rest of the Guard. She had only caught wind of murders in Seattle, Washington less than minutes ago herself, but she could already understand his curiosity. Her own interest danced with in her. Arriving just in front of him, she bowed slightly to him before listening to his words and follow him into the Council Chamber.
He mentioned taking a trip to a place growing more and more familiar to her by the day, and her eyes flickered to black. Random thirst roamed through her, pulling at her stone, porcelain skin. She as eager to go and check on the situation with the Cullen clan, but a stronger feeling sat with her- as if there was a greater risk at the moment.
“Sir,” Her child-like voice danced from her throat and leapt from her tongue eagerly. “Shall we all be taking that little trip, or shall we investigate the other activity?”
