Okay so Maddie has a brother who joined the Marines and went over to Iraq, in a bombing raid he was killed.

During this time Maddie found out she was pregnant when she told her boyfriend he left her. When Maddie found out about her brother she went into a spiral downwards, If it wasn't for her older sister Maddie probably would be in a really bad place. Madison didn't want to be alone without her brother who she was extremely close to. Once her daughter was born Maddie started to see that she had to pull herself out of her depression to take care of her new daughter. She just wished that Logan could have known that he had a niece before he died.

The raid was just a cover up, a vampire attacked the group of marines it was able to get bombs to go off and destroy all the bodies... The problem: The vampire's mate thought one of them men were cute so she took his body and hid it. After going through the change the body woke up as a vampire. The vampire was Commander Cartell.... Logan Cartell.
