The night air was refreshing against the young woman’s skin. For the moment, everything was peaceful. All that could be heard was the soft movements of wind rustling the leaves of the trees. It was an atmosphere that Mikaela needed. It wasn’t as if her first few months in Seattle were going poorly, but they just couldn’t compare to her old lifestyle in New York. She no longer had the premiere parties, the high-class socials, the fashion editorial…she had nothing. But, that was what a clean slate meant. Conflicts between tigers never ended well, and that was what led to her decision to move away….to be the bigger person.
It wasn’t without consequence though. Even if she hadn’t been dating, she was always on a man’s arm. Her beauty was that which many liked to show off and it was a privilege to escort the editor in chief of one of the most glamorous magazines in the world: Elle. But, it was all over though. And here she was wandering the silent forest of Forks. Of course, a bit of her old lifestyle remained. She toned down her dress, but not much. She had a pair of white Victoria’s Secret Pink sweatpants on and a long sleeved NYU shirt. It wasn’t top notch fashion, but she still looked good nonetheless. She probably could have done with a jacket, but…she was used to the cold. It didn’t sting as bad as it might to other people.
Her dark eyes lifted to the moon above as she came into a small clearing. It looked to be a meadow of sorts, but she wasn’t sure. Silver flooded the area, making the flowers shimmer. It was a beautiful sight to say the least. Pulling the long sleeves down to cover a bit of her hands and moved a little more into the clearing. The full moon would be visible within the week and she cringed lightly as she thought about it. It wasn’t as if she didn’t like being a tiger…but Mikaela wasn’t always openly accepted as a tiger. Unlike many others, she was one of the few tigers that had been infected with the lycan strain and not given or inherited. In the eyes of others, she was unworthy.
It was a rather strange thing to do, but she moved into the middle of the meadow and lay against the cool grass, her eyes looking up at the sky and the moon. It was one of those moments where you couldn’t help but be attracted to the beauty and the gravitational pull of the moon. Her tiger peered up at the moon through her and let out a soft purr. For once, her and her beast were fully at peace.

Martyn had also been walking the forest, but for a completely different reason. He had become attuned to the smells in Forks, even the smell of vampires. So when he smelled a tiger scent he didn’t recognize he mad it his buisness to go check it out. It was feminine for sure and for the slightest of seconds Martyn caught himself making a joke in his mind about how he was the only MALE tiger he knew around here. Hey, the truth hurt, and to be honest this one kinda stung.
The noise of the forest around him was of tranqule. The night had taken its toll and was showing its strangth amoungst the masses. Sleep was controling they’re minds and holding them deep into they’re dreams. Martyn was the only one who had broken free of his nightmares. He had smelled the scent and came out immediately. Being an Alpha had that effect, it didn’t matter what was going on if he smelled anything in his area he wanted to know what it was. This time wasn’t like the last though. He had been angry when he had found Naomi at first, this time he was interested. More reason then not, it was because the smell seemed none threatening, even interested in its surroundings, like a small cub confused about its new wide open world. Maybe that was even it, a new tiger confused about who it was now. Well if that is the case then I guess I’ve got another to take care of. Speaking of which he started to wonder if his sister had heard him leave. She usaully was good with sound and if he was getting that good then he would have to throw it in her face as a joke later. Sira and him were that close. They never got mad at eachother long and it was starting to seem as if they were getting back to that. He had forgiven her for the attack and now only cared about what was next.
As he moved deeper into the forest he started to realize that there was a light ahead, where the scent was coming from. Was the tiger sleeping? Maybe even trying to mark its area. Martyn didn’t want to confuse the creature, or even startle it. So as he looke daround he spotted a tree branch that seemed to look over the open area. Climbing hard and fast with his superhuman speed, he shot up and stood looking out over the meadow which was being bathed deep in the glow of the midnight moon. Sure enough as he looked down he sptted a single female in human form laying, looking up at the mother moon.

The subconscious does odd things when the psyche isn't in the best condition. Nightmares set in when you sleep spawning from traumatic events in our lives. Sira, was having a nightmare. She had almost died, was staring down the barrel of a shotgun when she awoke. Her body shot up to sit upright as her body was coated with a thin layer of sweat, causing her skin to glisten in the moonlight that filtered in through her window.
The said window was left open allowing a cool breeze to float into the room and make her lacy curtains flutter about as if they were dancing. Sira watched the fabric as it moved, almost mesmerized by the simple beauty of it. It was then she heard it.
As a tiger, your hearing is more acute than that of a human. A normal human wouldn't have her brother leave. But Sira caught it. She closed her eyes and ran her hand through the front of her hair before exhaling slowly. The sheets were pushed aside as Sira moved to exit the bed. The girl walked to the open window and looked out. The cool breeze caressed her warm skin and playfully tugged at her hair. She looked out across the back yard and out towards the forest nestled behind the house.
There was a trellis covered in vines that ran up to Sira's window. The dark haired girl climbed out the window sill and descended the trellis until her bare feet hit the grass below. She looked back at the forest and began to make her way following the scents of her brother. She soon climbed up a tree to perch herself in a sitting position next to him on the branch. She smiled at him softly. "Couldn't sleep or you just like spying on people?" She asked her brother as she looked over at the other female. She was pretty, that was clear, and her scent was obviously tiger. She hadn't met any other tigers but her family. So now there were more here, it made her curious. outfit: www.polyvore.com/cgi/set?id=25139564

Even with enhanced abilities, it was amazing how human Mikaela still felt. Her emotions hadn’t much changed, in fact…if anything, they were growing worse. She usually wasn’t one to get attached to people or a place, but leaving New York had left her broken and confused. While she didn’t much mind Washington…it was far from her list of top favorites. It didn’t help that she hadn’t been able to find work, nor had she come into contact with anyone like her. To be blunt, she was lonely. Not even from a man’s touch…but from being social in general. A girl, who was always the center of attention, now seemed to be invisible.
A soft pain stabbed at her heart, but she forced herself to change her trail of thoughts. Her eyes closed and she saw her tiger, lying next to her trying to provide comfort. The giant striped beast rubbed its head against Mikaela’s cool skin and in that moment, she could feel the warmth. It calmed her and a small smile came to her lips as she opened her eyes…the tiger’s warmth remaining. That was when she felt another’s presence.
It didn’t feel threatening, but it was definitely nearby. Mikaela leaned up and looked around but she was unable to see or hear anything but the soft rustle of leaves. Her muscles tensed a bit, not out of fear but out of the unknown. There was always a chance what she was about to encounter wouldn’t be good.
Now rising to her feet, she felt her hair fall in soft curls on her shoulders…cold from the grass below. Her breathing somehow remained calm. “Hello…?” Her voice was soft and melodic as she moved a bit closer to the edge of the forest only to feel a second presence draw near. It was then that she instead took a cautious step back. Inhaling deeply, she could smell two felines…but of what flavor she wasn’t sure. There was a possibility that they were tigers, but her senses were too numbed from anxiety that she couldn’t rightly tell.
Gulping lightly, she tried to calm herself…forcing her mind to focus on solely what was at hand. A small burst of courage came forth as she spoke again. “Show yourself.” It was one of the few moments that she was able to be forward and brave. It had been years since she’d been in this type of situation, and her fear was somehow getting the best of her.

Martyn had to admit this one was beautiful, but of course his mind was to deep into Autumn to even consider someone else. Yet as he watched her get up and move with grace he found her entrancing. Then though she started demanding that Sira and him show themselves. It wasn’t that Martyn was walking around at night shirtless and in a pair of Mountine Dew sleep pants. At this point his scars were a part of him and he really didn’t care who saw them. It was more he couldn’t move. He didn’t know why but this one made him actually not want to show himself for a split second. Yet as his mind struggeled for controle he started to realize if he could get her to join they’re Clan…..
Martyn Jumped before Sira could even speak, moving quickly down the tree and then landing on his feet, in a crouching possition on the edge of the Meadow. He studied the other for alittle longer, letting ever scent he had pull in every inch of her. This one was not the kind he would have usaully associated himself with. She smelled of expencive perfume and her clothes were also of that kind. Not his taste but….what else could he do.
“My names Martyn, and I am just like you.” He moved slowly toward her, letting his eyes turn to they’re tiger form and then back. “I don’t want to hurt you, I smelled you from my place near by and thoguht I’d check it out.” His words were soft and almost welcoming. He had no intention on hurting this one. What he wanted was just to figure out where she was from and what exactly she was doing here.

"Fine, don't answer me then." Sira had to admit, she was a little miffed when Martyn didn't answer her question. But then again she had just been teasing him. So she smiled and followed, landing gracefully next to her brother before standing next to him, her dress fluttering against her skin softly. She smiled and looked at the girl. She was pretty. She had to give her that. And she spelled of tiger. Sira took in the other aromas coming off of her. SHe smelled expensive. And then that could only mean one thing. SHe could have a new shopping buddy.
Sira followed next to her brother. SHe kept smiling softly, keeping the appearance she was a sweet person. sHe really was though. So she wouldn't let other's think she wasn't. Sira was a pacifist. She hated fighting. "I'm Martyn's older sister Sira." She introduced herself. Then she listened as Martyn explained why he was here. She smiled warmly. "I followed him. Trying to sneak out without me. Shame." She joked. She was trying to keep the situation light hearted. SHe didn't want anyone getting hostile. That was the last thing they needed. Territorial wild cats. So she stood there and smiled sweetly waiting and hoping for the best to come out of this meeting.

Naomi loved wandering through the forest. In most cases it made her feel right at home. She wouldn't change to her form on this journey unless she truly needed to. The vile smell of other creatures were repulsive in this town but, Naomi had to live with it at least for now. She had only met one other tiger in this town and that scent hit her nostrils quickly. She turned to a different location and headed that way, toward the familiar scent. She walked out into a clearing full of flowers and a great scenery of the sky.
It was there Naomi smelled three other figures. Of course, one was the familiar scent of Martyn and the other two were unfamiliar to her. She was wearing a tang top with jeans not her normal wear but, it would do at the moment. Naomi listened to them all speak before speaking as well. "Well this is certainly new. There are more of weretigers in Forks. Is this it?" She spoke and a gentle tone. She was an Alpha and did what she could. Naomi took in their scents so later she would know how to find them if needed.
She usually wouldn't come into the forest in her human form but, she was just hiking today. Her brown eyes glared at the three talking to each other. She walked over to them a bit closer folding her arms against her chest. Naomi took in a breath and then sighed lightly. "I'm Naomi Pierce...nice to meet you all." She introduced herself kindly or at the time being. She was an alpha and her moods changed instantly. She would hold them back at the moment. She looked at the three cautiously. She was aware of many things especially those of her own species. [/sub]

Mikaela could feel the wisps of cool air move against her warm skin and it calmed her slightly. Her tiger was on all fours, ready to burst forth in case of a sudden attack. But, as two other flame burnt tigers stepped into view, her tiger’s defensive stance lightened. It was peculiar to see other tigers after so long. A part of her wanted to pounce and play, but she knew this was not the time or place. Instead, her large tiger just stood and watched the other two, her tail squishy gently back and forth.
Dark eyes looked up at the man who had just approached and the woman who followed behind. They looked quite similar in appearance, and she only guessed they were related. Of course, as Sira talked, she confirmed Mikaela’s assumptions. A small smile fell on her lips as she relaxed in the familiarity of other tigers. She wasn’t alone after all.
The young tigress listened as the man who was now partially visible introduced himself as Martyn, explaining why he was so close by her in the middle of the night. His body was covered by silver moonlight, but from what she could see, he was rather attractive: dark hair and a well-built structure. Her eyes lingered on him for a moment before they turned to the girl beside him. She was quite beautiful as well, with a face that seemed soft, but could turn harsh in a moment’s time. Her attempts at lightening the situation worked and Mikaela couldn’t help but smile at the joke towards Martyn. It seemed like they had a solid relationship, and since they were related tigers….it probably implied they were born into their lycanthropy. A slight uneasiness fell in her stomach as she was wondered if they would accept her. She was one of the few infected tigers around, and usually they were looked at with disgust. Hoping they couldn’t tell just from scent, she opened her mouth to return the introduction when another voice drifted to her ears.
Turning slightly, she saw a snowy tigress wander into sight. This one didn’t seem to be with the other two, but she sensed that she knew them. Like Martyn, this woman seemed to have power and strength flowing through her. It was invigorating and Mikaela felt a slight chill dance down her spine. Smiling, she introduced herself to all of them. “And to think…I thought I was alone.” They were definitely words of relief and happiness to have met others. “I’m Mikaela…I just moved here a couple months ago from New York.” Letting her eyes raise to the moon for a moment, she smiled before returning her gaze to the others. “I’m glad to have finally met others like me…” As she looked to each of them, trying to get a closer look in the moonlight, she felt herself drawn to the Alpha male. Something about him sparked her interest, but she tried to remain polite to the others. “Are you all from here?” She asked, hoping to make conversation as well as relationships with the three of them.

Martyn had cought Noami’s scent before she even surficed from the forest. It wasn’t that she bothered him because she was an Alpha, but it was more that he was afraid she might try to usurp him if she got the chance. If anything he might have to put her in her place at some point. Right now it wasn’t really about her, as she introduced herself Martyn focused back on the one named Mikaela. He watched every movement, ever second where her eyes lingered, which was on him more then the two others. He wondered if it was because of the fact that he was an Alpha, or was it something different? Her eye did seem to soften when she let her eyes touch him.
“You’ve been here a couple months? I only moved her a couple weeks ago.” He tilted his head alittle back towards his house and watched every movement it brought. He was not trying to be a total dick at that moment but what he really wanted was to size this one up. She was of course one of them and if it was at all possible he wanted her to join they’re ranks, maybe even move into the empty bedroom so he knew that one more Tiger was with him and under his roof. Could he ask her to join they’re new clan now? No, it wouldn’t be right. He needed to get a better feel for Mikaela and as the three girls spoke Martyn slowly stepped closer to the new one. He wanted to see her reaction. Maybe even see if she would be willing to fallow him. His eyes locked with hers and he could tell at that moment that she wasn’t a born Tiger, no she was not anything like him. Yet did that really matter? Not, in the slightest.

Sira stood there, her stance relaxed as a breeze played with the hem of her dress and her dark hair. She smiled softly and listened to everyone talking as the other tiger appeared out of nowhere. "I only moved her a couple of days ago." She offered up. SHe really didn't know what she was supposed to do. SHe held no position to demand anything and she really didn't have any questions. She was content with standing there and answering questions. Really she just enjoyed being in the company of others like her. SHe wasn't sure what Martyn wanted her to do. She wouldn't do anything she wasn't supposed to do. As it stood she was being forced to live on animals rather than her preferred food, humans. SHe was hurting for it already. It really wasn't fair.
Sira watched Martyn with a smile. He was an Alpha to her Beta. He tried things and experimented when she went with the flow. She was more laid back and feminine. SHe was his complete opposite while being his twin at the same time. She was older than he was by a year. But he was more assertive, stronger. She couldn't live on her own and he was all she had. She smiled softly at Naomi. "I'm Sira." SHe introduced herself. She had to at least acknowledge the other girl. As of the moment, she felt slightly out of place.

Now that was something strange. Mikaela had been in Seattle longer than all of them. Well, two of them. Her eyes moved to the Alpha female tiger that stood in the clearing. Mikaela didn’t know what exactly, but something seemed off about her. She spoke kind enough, yet somehow there was an edge to the tigress that Mikaela couldn’t quite make out. Perhaps it was because she was an Alpha and held dominance over two of the other tigers here. In either case, Mikaela made note to stand her guard when around her.
As the other two spoke to her, speaking of their short time living in Seattle, she couldn’t help but smile. It made her feel good to know she wasn’t the newest one to the city. Not that there was anything wrong with that, but it just somehow gave her a little more confidence and hope that others would soon follow. Though she wasn’t used to it, it would be nice to have a family again…people she could confide in and be comfortable around. “What made you decide to move here?” She asked them, trying to keep the conversation going, her eyes occasionally darting to Naomi.
When Martyn took another step forward, Mikaela stood her ground. He was seemingly trying to size her up and figure out if she would show dominance or submit. It wasn’t as if she was trying to be dominant when she stood still, but she was always trained to keep her ground until commanded to step down. On the metaphysical plane, she could see her tiger taking a defensive stance, ready for any and every thing the Alpha male threw at her. He didn’t seem threatening though, so her tiger remained calm…eyes just curiously watching him. She hated to fight, but if push came to shove, she would fight her hardest for what she believed. After all, she couldn’t let this Alpha male think he could walk all over her without at least a small consequence.
Out of the corner of her eyes, she watched his sister as she stood there. She knew it was custom for these types of things to happen, but she hadn’t expected it so soon. Obviously Mikaela knew Martyn and Naomi were stronger, and she would submit to them…but she also wanted it to be known that she had her boundaries.

Naomi heard there voices gently and took a breath in. Naomi was looking at Martyn, after all he was also an Alpha just like her and she knew there would have to be a one on one talk. Naomi could tell by there voices of the sort of age limit they were at. Naomi was in college taking the course of Zoology. She then looked at Mikaela who seemed to always dart her eyes toward her. "I moved here when the semester started for college. I am from California where my old clan lives as well in Port Angeles." She spoke looking at the other two women in front of her.
Naomi was friendly only when she had to be. She clearly looked a little older then Martyn but, she felt like a close friend to him. It seemed to be an alpha response at least to her. Naomi then glared at Sira. Martyn had a sister? That seemed odd but, Naomi had family that no one here have met before. She saw the eyes of both Martyn and Mikaela and showed a small smile across her face. Naomi could never fight for position here she was an Alpha yes but, Martyn was here first and she had to accept that fact.
Naomi did have one question. Mikaela wasn't born with the blood of a weretiger. Naomi kept quiet but, she could smell it in her. Naomi's eyes flashed a blue color those of her tiger and smiled lightly. "Mikaela...May I ask how you've come across your inner tiger?" She asked out of curiosity. Naomi was calm and wasn't to judge of becoming a tiger. She was only curious. Naomi usually would be in her tiger form but, she would keep it in at the moment. Naomi would join this small clan if asked but, she would keep her rank as Alpha since she was born to be one. "Oh by the way Mikaela I love your outfit." She said then giving a smile to her before looking at the others. [/sub]

Martyn didn’t know why but when Naomi asked about how Mikaela came about being a tiger his teeth grew sharp and a small grumble came from his throat. “That doesn’t concern any of us. All that matters is that Mikaela is one of us and we are all what we are.” His eyes caught Naomi’s and a flash came from his eyes that only showed that she needed to back down. This one needed no one to harass her. She wanted to live normally and probably was relieved that she had been found by others like her. Just because she had not been born as he, Sira and, he suspected, Naomi had. As he turned back to Mikaela his eyes grew soft once more. She was not at fault for anything and he wanted her to feel comfortable in this group that he hoped she would join. Before he answered her question though he looked around and took a deep breath through his mouth.
“It’s cold out here and Sira and my place isn’t that far from here. If you two wish we can keep this going somewhere where I can get some good food in our bellies?” Martyn found it a good offer but it was up to these others to decide that. His eyes locked with Mikaela’s at first, not lingering enough to be more then an understand and caring look. Yet when his eyes met Naomi’s he hoped she saw that he was in control and would NOT take anyone usurping him, even if he was the youngest at the moment. What mattered most was power and he had an idea that he could tear Naomi apart without trying.

Baden had been running through the forest in his tiger form. A male white tiger darted onto the ground as he was following the scent of his dear Naomi. He then stopped behind some bushes to catch the scent of Naomi and looking through the opening he noticed others. He remained in his form as a snarl came out of his throat as he slowly walked out to show himself. He kept his eyes on the other male who also seemed like an Alpha. He saw his expressions and Baden's tiger ears went down as he gave an angered look.
He then stood next to Naomi and snarled again at the other male. The small hair flanks on his back were slightly raised as he remained in his form. She had only asked a question, and the only one in need to backing down here is you. [/b] Baden spoke in his mind and he knew all could hear him. Baden was an Alpha and imprinted on Naomi. He wouldn't let anyone come to harm her either by contact or words. But, Baden would hold off until he seen a real threat. His blue eyes then looked upon the other two. I am Baden Vernan also an Alpha.[/b] He introduced himself as he bowed his head lightly. He would have to trust the others to be in his human form and so far he didn't see it. Baden knew Naomi well, she could not harm a soul. Baden's eyes were wide open. There were four and now including him there was five. He breathed heavily turning his ears towards them.[/sub][/center]

Sira sighed. "I came here to stay with Martyn." The mere thought about why she had to live with him sent shivers up her spine. sHe was a fugitive of the law, shouldn't even be alive. And now she was hiding out with her younger brother, risking his freedom. She felt bad about that. He didn't deserve it. He had made a place for himself and here she was risking everything he worked hard for.
Sira found it odd that there were so many Alphas. She had never seen so many in one place. SHe took a step forward when he started in on her brother. "Hey, don't yell at him. He is just protective of others. If she doesn't want to tell her story she doesn't have to. We all have things we don't want to talk about." SHe spoke defensively. Normally she wouldn't say anything, but he was being rude and disrespectful. But as soon as she said it she stepped back. "Sorry." sHe apologized. Normally if she would have raised her voice or talked back to her father or her grandfather they would have slapped her across the face. She had to know her place and standing up against alphas was not her place.
When the other alpha male said his name Sira bowed her head a little with a soft smile. "Sira." SHe spoke her name softly. She wouldn't threaten him, she was trying her best to be respectful. She had been raised to be like this. And she wouldn't break her training. SHe would be respectful to this other male even though Martyn was her alpha leader.
