KAYLEE ALYNE ROBERTSCharacter Play-by: Hayley Williams
name:Kaylee Alyne Roberts age: Twenty one years old- literally. She had only been given life twenty-one years ago, but she is ageless it seems. gender:Female orientation:Straight race: Vampire Hybrid; Only sometimes does she feast on a human, but those are very, very rare occasions- when she is upset or feeling vulnerable. She generally feasts on animals, just like the vegetarian vampires. She can also gain the nourishment she needs from normal, human food- which she generally prefers. birthplace: Seattle, Washington. current location: Seattle, Washington. occupation: Full-time bartender, part-time student a local music academy.
personality: Kaylee is usually very out-going. Of course her job calls for her to, perhaps, be very flirty and friendly, but she is an all around nice person. Indulging herself in a good time a little too much every now and then, Kaylee enjoys enjoying life- even if she is supposed to be living forever. She finds absolute joy in seeing other people smile, furthermore she enjoys being the cause of their smile, happiness, and excitement.
When it is appropriate, she feels rather loose and free- as though nothing is holding her down. She enjoys flirting, and as said before even though her job calls for it, she sometimes does it because that is how she feels. She is able to maintain control of herself; she is not that “loose.”
She is very human in the way she acts; she has feelings and definitely acts on those feelings often. When she loves someone, she loves them with all she is. She is dedicated to them and only them, and does nothing to disrespect that person. She generally dislikes hating, hatred, and any version of the word and feeling. Nearly possessing the qualities of a pacifist, she still has the ability to defend herself in any sort of confrontation.
When it comes to love, she could get jealous. Kaylee has a temper in the case of jealous, or when someone is trying to interfere with her love life. She is merely a normal human when it comes to her emotions, of course.
She also appreciates beauty, and often writes the most beautiful of songs when she is feeling inspired. Though she is nearly a representation of beauty at its finest as vampire blood runs through her veins, she still believes beauty is only skin deep. On her music, she is very talented. Playing the guitar and signing are her strong points, and she definitely enjoys taking any opportunity to share it all with everyone.
detailed history: She was not born into a family of wealth, nor into a world on a day where the sun was shining down on her, but Kaylee Alyne Roberts was born into the world with a smile on her face and a pair of bright hazel eyes. She was born into the world to one Caden Roberts and one Alyne Roberts. Of course, she was born to a vampire and a human. Running through Caden was the venom of the fantastic vampire, while Alyne’s blood ran clean and clear with human blood. They had fallen wildly in love upon their meeting in Italy and though it had been forbidden, they married and Caden refused to turn Alyne. Just after Kaylee’s birth, Alyne’s health continued to decline until her death only a few weeks later. Kaylee lived, possessing humanistic and vampiric traits, but with out venom.
Being born into the world a beautiful hybrid, Kaylee grew up fast- and that is the literal expression. The first seven years of her life flew by her quickly; her body matured fully with in those seven years only to give her the appearance of a twenty year old. With her outward appearance maturing and growing quickly, her brain also matured quickly. She became rather smart, of course, but most of everything she knows came from her father. He took care of her, valuing her more than anything he had ever sat eyes on. His wife and love was gone and though her hybrid body ran a certain allure, Caden still loved his daughter more than anything. She was miracle to him, and that perhaps had influence over the amount of time he spent teaching her and watching over her.
Seven years after her birth, with a fully matured brain and body, Kaylee was free to live her life as normal as she could. For about three years, she lived with her father, basically shacked up in their small apartment in Seattle while Caden took trips to Italy for weeks at a time. He had been growing close to the Volturi, and was somehow losing his feelings for his daughter. This left Kaylee confused and nearly depressed. Her father, who had never left her side, now easily detached himself from her and their life together. Many nights were spent laying in her bed, staring out of the window, or strumming her guitar mindlessly- in attempt to figure out why he had left. She had become very distraught and unstable. The emotions were too strong for her to deal with, causing her to seek human blood to seemingly satisfy her thirst- for anything.
Eventually, Caden only returned one or two days every now and Kaylee realized there was no use in dwelling on it. The Volturi had obviously grabbed hold of him and swayed his mindset from his daughter, and Kaylee knew there was nothing she could do about it. It had hit her one day as she rose from her bed and saw the sunlight shining down upon the city. Making up her mind to settle on a rather human-like life, she went in search of a job, as well as checked out music school. Receiving a job as a full-time bartender, Kaylee easily earned the money in tips and regular wages to attend a local music academy in Seattle part-time. Bartending and music were ways to feed her need for attention and positive thoughts.
She continues to work at the most popular bar in Seattle, Washington as well as attending that same music academy where she studies guitar and takes vocal classes. She has realized she had just begun a very long life, so why wish it by? She lives day by day in that same apartment where her father once left her, but now she only smiles and awakes to the brightest of days, even for any part of Washington.
fears: Ending up alone, dying, and (secretly)losing her father. strengths:Singing, guitar playing, resisting the drinking of human blood as well as animal blood. weaknesses:In ability to control her emotions in certain instances, love, family. likes:(LOVES) Playing the guitar, singing, bartending, meeting people, making friends… dislikes: The Volturi, vampires who kill humans, and killing period.
facial appearance: Having an overall small body, her face is oval and small, painted with the most beautiful of porcelain white skin. A button nose sits in the middle of her face, with a pair almond-shaped pale yellow eyes resting softly beneath arched eye-brows. clothing: She really wears whatever she is comfortable in, but she can mostly be found in skinny, fitting jeans, a t-shirt or tank top, and a hoodie with a pair of converse low-tops accompanying almost any outfit she wears. At the same time, she does enjoy wearing shorts and skirts. build:Standing at a tiny 5’0”, she also has a small, nearly fragile-looking frame. She is rather skinny, with barely any body fat anywhere. marks/scars:N/A species appearance:She is just as pale and beautiful as any vampire. Her hair is a natural brown, but she continues to bleach it and dye it crazy colors- her favorites being red and orange.
your name:WHITNEY! age:20! how long have you been roleplaying?:FOREVERRRRRR. 7 YEARS?! how did you find us?:LISA! codeword: [can be found in the rules]
roleplay sample: Strumming her acoustic, cherry wood guitar from her perch in the window of the apartment, Kaylee’s grin cracked up her porcelain cheeks easily. Her pale golden were as bright as they could be, though the outside world was the complete opposite. Rain drops fell so easily and quickly from the sky, pelting down on the lake top- disturbing the peaceful body as it tried to be. No negative thoughts were present in the tiny flat, much less in Kaylee’s head as her fingers glided across the tight strings.
Work came naturally nowadays, and she had no complaints. Working at the bar was fun enough, but eventually she would have to find another job- somewhere else. She would have to move on, like the other vampires she had been told about. They roam over the earth, moving when it was time and never growing attached to any place. Her internal workings were much different than theirs, and she was unsure if she would ever be able to leave this place. Humans were not horrible, and they certainly did not deserve to be killed. Her manager and her fellow employees were just that- humans, and kind humans at that. They made her nights at work enjoyable. Smiling a little more as she thought of what he night would be bringing her, Kaylee felt satisfaction filling her empty chest.
The melody she had been creating eased into silence and she continued sitting in her window sill, casting her gaze upon the rainy world of Seattle. She was waiting for something to spark her interests, perhaps someone who could entertain her and sit with her on days like this, before she had to go off to work. Someone who would be there when she got home from class and someone who would be waiting for her when she got off of work at all hours of the morning. Would someone ever come to love a thing like her?
She pushed the darkness away easily, continuing to smile out at the rainy, steamy lake.
