After buying him new clothes, cutting his hair, finally coaxing him into a bath, and letting him eat all the sugar he could Brooke was there when he fell asleep. And throughout the night she remained motionless with her arm around him as he slept. His unnaturally warm body wouldn't find hers as cold as a human would but nonetheless she made sure he wouldn't get too cold as he slept close to her. After a few hours of lying there Brooke shut her eyes, going into thinking state since the vampire couldn't sleep. Her cold, unbeating heart would have skipped a beat when his arm draped over her body but she still remained motionless.
When he did wake up the vampire didn't move until he had pulled away from her, he obviously wasn't used to someone caring and certainly wasn't used to showing affection back. She propped her head up on her arm and looked at him with a soft smile. "Jackson..." she muttered softly, "What a cute name for such a cute kid." she said. She brushed her fingers through his newly cut hair before getting up off the bed. She walked to where her bags were and pulled out some clothes for the day. "I'll be quick." she told him as she walked into the bathroom and shut the door.
And true to her word she was quick. Five minutes after the shower was turned on it was turned off once more. And then Brooke stepped out of the bathroom once more. Her clothes weren't dressy today, dark denim jeans and a black shirt. She pulled her slightly wet hair up into a messy bun. Though today rather than a pair of heels she pulled out a pair of black flats. "Well handsome, why would you like to do now?" she asked him.

He blink when Brooke disappear into the bathroom, he started jumping up and down on the bed. This bed was so fluffy and jumpable! His head almost hit the ceiling, as he uses the remote to change the channels to the television. He couldn’t settle down, his mind was racing with so many thoughts. He was debating if he should leave before things become too deep between him and Brooke. It seem Brooke wanted to hang out with him even thought the deal was he only stand for the night. He continue to jump on the bed, “You still wanna hang out with me?” He jumps off the bed and into Brooke’s arms. It was instinct for him to just trust her to catch him. Brooke was dependable after all. He look curiously into her eyes as if he were looking for an answer, “Why?” He didn’t understand this woman at all. Did she pity him? Well, Jackson didn’t need her pity! He narrow his blue eyes at her,” Why are you being so nice to me?” He poof/teleport right out of Brooke’s arms and back on the bed. He kept his guard up, as he continues to glare at her. Adults were never nice to Jackson and they usually kept their distant from him. So why didn’t Brooke keep her distance from him?

Brooke smiled lightly when he jumped into her arms, her automatic reaction was to catch him and she easily did so. Her arms were wrapped around the small child and she sighed, about to answer him but then he took the defensive with her. She hadn't been expecting him to do so and she was suddenly shocked when her arms were now empty. Her arms moved and her hands settled on her waist as Jackson questioned her motives.
"Everyone deserves kindness. Sorry if you aren't used to it... But you're right... I only said till morning. So if you wish to leave I won't stop you. Though I would like to buy you breakfast first, if you're willing to put with me for it that is." Brooke let out a small sigh. She knew it was coming, and she shouldn't have let herself get close to the boy but something about him had her curiosity and she had quickly grown quite fond of the hybrid.
Maybe it was a yearning to care for someone. A motherly instinct that had kicked in suddenly with him around. She had no idea what it was. Just that she cared for him and didn't want to see him get hurt. Though it seemed he had other plans to dash now. She kept her smile soft as she looked at him, a smile she only had when around her husband and apparently now Jackson.

His blue eyes widen and his vision started to get blurry as tears run down his eyes. Her smile was so sincere and kind. He wonder if his mother smiled the way Brooke did…He couldn’t help but let his trembling hand reach out to Brooke. “B-brooke…” his voice was cracking and he never felt so afraid…Afraid of never seeing that smile again. He didn’t want to leave Brooke, she was closest thing he had to call ‘mom.’ He didn’t want to freak her out, someone like Brooke deserves nice children. Children that didn’t talk back and have good manners and Jackson was the complete opposite to those nice children.
He was selfish and didn’t care. “Can we be…” his cheeks were burning up and he quickly wiped away his tears. How embarrassing! Him crying in front of Brooke like that. Jackson needed to man up, “you can take me to breakfast…” His eyes narrow as he tried to look tough, “lunch and dinner. Maybe we could go to the park and I can show you how to use the swings. I can also teach you how to play ‘hide and go seek’ since your grown up you probably don’t know about stuff like that.” He jumped off the bed and walk over to her. He paused staring at her hand and hesitantly took his tiny hand into hers, “I can drive us there if you like. I think I can manage that.” He looks up at her with a mischief glee in his eyes and a devilish grin.

Brooke's smile seemed to soften even more as he began to cry, not because she liked seeing him cry but because he wanted to stay with her. She knelt down till she was eye level with him and set a hand on his cheek, wiping away a tear he had missed with her thumb. "I'd very much like that." she told him she then let out a happy sigh. "Though there will be no driving today. Maybe tomorrow we can work on driving lessons." she told him. She looked him in the eyes for a moment before she suddenly moved and hugged him. If the vampire could cry she would be. Though they would be happy tears.
She pulled away from the hug and stood up straight, still looking at him. She stuck her hand out for him to take if he wanted. "Where do you want to go for lunch?" she asked him. She picked up her purse off the chair beside her and checked how much money she had in her wallet. "We can go anywhere you want." she told him, satisfied with the amount she had along with the credit card her husband had given her so she could take care of herself with him gone.
((Sorry for the wait and the shortness.... I apologize muchly...))
