A Brand{Edward}New Day

It was an early morning as Katherine stood in front of her huge closet. She was choosing an outfit for her first day at Forks High school. So she needed to think about it. After all she don't wanted to look strange or stupid to anyone around her. Also she wondered what people in small towns like this wore. It was raining a lot and it was not so warm here, but that didn't seem to matter to the most people a lot. They just wore the same things as everyone else, everywhere else. So a moment later she finally picked her outfit. Katherine had been raised as a young lady back in time when she had been human. Also back in that time girls hadn't worn, jeans or other trouser. That was something she never had forgotten. Also Katherine loved to wear beautiful dress. That was why sh most of the time wore dresses or skirts, with matching tops. Today she had picked a white, black, pink dress, which looked really beautiful on her. Her brown soft curls were held back by a white headband. Katherine threw one last look into the mirror and was satisfied with her look. On her way out of her bedroom, she grabbed her bag, her white coat and her keys and left her apartment then.

Sure she knew it must look kind of strange to the people around her, that she an eighteen year old girl was living in an own apartment. After all she pretended to go to school still. But she didn't really care, what people talked about her. She was happy that she lived on her own. After all she had since she was changed never really been able to get along with someone. So being on her own was the best solution. No matter what people thought. Now as she stepped outside the house of her apartment, she felt a cold wind blow around her. Not that temperature did matter to her so much. She was after all a vampire, so she could stand it. Fast she walked to her car and got into it. Her bag she put on the place beside her and then started the engine. Fast she drove through the roads of Forks. Katherine loved speed and fast driving. So she soon reached the High school. There she looked for a parking lot for her car, soon she found one and drove her car into it.

Before she got out of the car, Katherine checked her look in the small mirror of her car again. Then she got out of the car gracefully. As she got out, she already felt a lot of eyes on her. Katherine was even able to hear them whisper behind her back. Humming silently to herself, she started to walk over the parking lot, over to the school building. There she went to the office and introduced herself to the woman working there. The woman at the secretariat explained some things to her and gave her some sheets of paper. Which Katherine put into her bag. Then she made her way to her locker. Still she felt a lot of eyes on her as she walked through the hallways of school. She wondered when the first people would start talking to her. Finally she found her locker and put some things into it. Again she checked her look in a small mirror on the inside of her locker. Before she closed it and wanted to walk away. That was when she suddenly bumped into someone. Fast she said "I'm sorry, I wasn't watching." Katherine knew it would sound and look more human, if she acted like this was her mistake. After all her acting skills in a way, was what had been keeping her alive over the last few centuries. But then she turned her attention to the person in front of her.
