The moon was full tonight. One of the most dreaded and feared nights of her life. Even when the weather is warm, it still brings a shiver to her spine. Luckily though, it was very cloudy that night. She had yet to physically feel the moons light on her skin. The bright, grey orb in the sky had not yet met Lily's eyes due to the dark clouds. Her song had not yet sung, to awaken her inner animal. And Lily was a little happy, for the time being. So as the sky got even darker she laid in her bed and watched the ceiling. She tapped her fingers on the side of her bed, feeling anxious and somewhat bored. It seemed the more she just sat there, the more it seemed time went by really slow. It was too hard for her to handle. She stood up and grabbed her jean jacket. Also grabbing the straps of her white flip-flops that match her knee-length white dress and her necklace of a crescent moon, something her father gave her. It was the most precious thing she had. If she ever lost it, she would lose it. Creeping out her door and down the stairs she tried not to wake her mother and uncle up. The last thing she needed was for them to ask her a million questions. Slowly but carefully she closed her front door and walked down the street. Within a twenty minute walk she was close to the woods. As Lily looked around the dead streets, she had happened to glance up into the sky. The clouds were starting to get lighter. "Oh no! she thought. With the thought of her transformation soon she ran into the woods, wishing that no one had saw her. She could feel her heart pumping, she didn't know if it was from running or if it was closer than she thought. Finally after a minute or two of running she came to a field of beautiful flowers. It was dark out, but Lily was overwhelmed with the smell of them. The wind was slightly picking up, making the hairs on her body stand up. In a way it almost calmed her. Taking a few deep breaths she tried to calm herself down. Glancing up at the sky, looking at the stars, and waiting for the moon. TAG!? OPEN WORD COUNT!? 381 OUTFIT!? OO PRETTYLYRICS!? In the essence of the night, Jeremiah found himself preparing for another full moon. It really wasn’t that big of a deal to him anymore. In fact, he rather enjoyed hunting and letting his beast run free. It was an exhilarating feeling that he now embraced rather than feared. It had taken time though. He wasn’t always at one with his wolf. It took several years for him to finally come to reality with what he truly was. And only after that realization occurred was he able to master his lycan form. He could change at will and was in the steps of starting his own pack, but the lycan strain was still relatively new to the world. Only a few other werewolves resided in Washington, one of which he had caught scent of while in Forks the other week. He knew beyond a doubt that she would be in the forest and an overwhelming part of him longed to meet her.
The shift at work had been relatively painful, especially as his wolf was anxious and wanting to run free. It was always that way the day of a full moon, but he knew work came first. Being a Seattle police officer, it was risky enough just being on the force. To ask for every full moon off would start to appear suspicious, so he worked the hours he was given without complaint. Of course, tonight’s moon was more intense than the rest as he now had something to look forward to. He would be cautious though. From feeling her energy the other week, he knew he was still relatively new to her lycan form. Maybe one, two years at most. Enough time to just begin to accept your form and learn how to control it during the off days when it wanted to be set free, but no where near enough time to completely understand it. The last thing he wanted to do was scare or startle her.
The moon was high in the sky and Jeremiah could feel the energy being drawn from it. His wolf paced back and forth, anxious to leap forward and run free. But, Jeremiah remained calm, parking his car in the Forks police station. He was on good terms with the officers there so he knew they wouldn’t mind. From there he began his descent towards the forest, the silver rays of the moon peaking through and driving his wolf wild. A soft howl ran through the wolf on the metaphysical plane and Jeremiah could feel his skin beginning to burn slightly as his body temperature rose a bit. Inhaling deeply, he finally found the scent he was searching for. And oddly enough, it seemed to be mixed with a beautiful floral scent as well. His eyes rose to the sky as he saw the thin cloud covering the moon. He wanted to reach her before she changed, and he began following her scent. Eyes peering through trees, he saw her in a field filled with flowers. He could feel her anxious energy and it made his wolf stand cautiously. For a moment, he just watched…seeing how she was reacting to the moon’s pull of her beast.

It was almost visible. The moon to her had seemed to get brighter and more intense the more she stared at it. Scaring her in a sense. She was very familiar with this strong, tense feeling. But the familiarity didn't sooth her. It just reminded her of who she was. Her father would be proud of her if he were here today. Since the first time she transformed years ago, she had grown and was now fully aware of the precautions. He would be proud of how much easier she has taken the burden, compared to before. Her uncle, thankfully, taught her how to control her transformation a little bit easier than before. Instead of it being ending up as a panic attack, she would calmly stand there and waited for the beast to be set free. But tonight she didn't want to do that. For some odd reason she wanted to fight it. Maybe she had had enough of the painful ordeal. Her bones cracking and breaking, hair growing out of every inch of her boy, loosing her humanity in a way. It scared the living daylights out of her. But she just had to deal. She could feel her body temperature rising, her heart pounding, the hairs on the back of her neck stood up. Every minute that had passed was another minute closer to her fears. She hoped that the animal inside her would not leave the forest once the deed was done. Showing herself in a populated area was not the best of ideas. But once she transforms, she has little to no control of what the beast does. It's the wolfs night tonight, not her's. Her inner wolf was just barely scratching the surface, trying to escape. A million things started racing through her mind. Until something, or someone, interrupted them. A strange smell filled her nostrils. There was no more floral scent, but a sweet one instead. It was almost as if it were honey, but sweeter. She couldn't tell where it was coming from. She didn't know if she should be alarmed or not. She turned around, trying to look around the meadow's to see if she saw anything. Walking a few feet from the spot she originally was, she could smell the scent getting stronger. It couldn't be a vampire. They didn't smell as good as this, at least not to her. It could be human, but she had never really noticed any human's around that smelt like this. Could it be a shifter? Or maybe even another werewolf? Finally gathering up the courage she decided to find out the easy way. "Hello? Is anyone out there? If there is then please show yourself. I think it's kind of rude to be here without introducing yourself, you know." she said, projecting her voice so whoever was there heard her. She tried not to act scared but it was very hard to act at the moment. TAG!? JEREMIAH WORD COUNT!? 493 OUTFIT!? OO PRETTYLYRICS!? YOUR BETRAYAL BULLET FOR MY VALENTINE NOTES!? NONE

Jeremiah’s crystal eyes closed as he listened to her heart beat anxiously. Her wolf was just waiting to leap forward, to take control and to have freedom in the night. The blood was running warm and thick with adrenaline through her veins as she kept her eyes on the night sky. He opened his eyes and peered at the young woman sitting in the meadow. She was beautiful to say the least. Her golden hair appeared silver in the shaded rays of the moon and a necklace seemed to sparkle around her neck. He was about to step forward and reveal himself she he sensed her heart race in fear. Jeremiah closed his eyes, knowing he should have just stepped forward to begin with. Now he was scaring her…not a good combination minutes before a full moon appears. Her voice finally rang out, reaching his ears clearly. A low sigh escaped his lips and he cursed himself for not just introducing himself. Of course, to startle a werewolf like that could have been asking for an attack.
Finally, Jeremiah emerged from the cover of the trees, his body covered in the dim light of the moon. “I apologize if I startled you…that was not my intention.” His voice was soft and warm, as he continued to move towards her. “I’m Jeremiah…” Finally they were both in eyesight of each other and he finished, “…I’m like you.” By the tone of his voice, she would know exactly what he meant. His eyes rose to the clouds that were extremely thin, the energy of the moon drawing both he and his wolf in. He could withstand the silver rays for a while, but eventually he would have to shift. It was in his nature to need a full moon transformation…it wasn’t negotiable.
On the metaphysical plane, his wolf stirred anxious thick grey fur appearing from behind the forest to see her white wolf. She was noticeably smaller in size, but he knew just from her demeanor, she packed a mean punch if necessary. Jeremiah’s wolf took a small step forward, lowering his head to the white wolf to show he meant no harm. The crystal blue eyes of Jeremiah’s wolf were the same as his own; a feature that came from being one with his beast.

Her heart beat was getting even faster now. She didn't know if it was the stranger or if it was actually her. The sweet smell of honey grew closer as an image appeared. She could see everything around her clearly now, her eyes adjusting to her environment. Her senses heightening. Her body felt hot and tingly. Goosebumps ran down her arms as she watched the figure get closer. When the moons small glare finally hit the strange man she could finally see who's voice had responded. For a split second, it seemed as if her vision went haywire. She saw a wolf. His fur was grey and we was quite large. She couldn't fathom how she was seeing this. Where was the man? Shaking her head and rubbing her eyes she looked up and saw a blonde man with the brightest eyes she has ever seen. She felt like he was looking right into her soul, or maybe her inner animal. "I apologize if I startled you…that was not my intention.…I’m like you.” "Like me? What is that suppos..." she thought to herself as she looked up in the sky and finally realized what he meant. "Oh..." she muttered to herself. He must of been the unforgetable scent that she could never forget. Taking a good look at him, she guessed her was older than her. 21, 22 perhaps. Maybe even older. But that didn't change anything. She could feel as if there was some source of energy coming from him. A burning heat surrounded him as he drew closer to her. If he is what he says he is, then he must be feeling the transformation coming soon. Can he handle it? Can she handle it. She had never transformed in front of anyone other than her family, and of course that kid many years ago but she doesn't like to count that. Or even remember it for that matter. What would happen? Would she be able to control her wolf. Can he control his? Many question ran through her mind as she gazed into his baby blues. But Lily was thinking too much and not speaking enough. There was a weird awkward silence that Lily had to fill. It was just so hard to not feel his energy, it seemed to take over her mind and her wolf's mind. Finally removing her gaze she focused on not looking like a retard and better yet, a freak. If he was what he says he is, then she will be blunt and straight-forward and he would understand. But if he's just talking out of his rear-end then this night would end badly. For him atleast. "Like me? Really? You mean an animal. One that has to fight to be free. All because of a round orb in the sky. But I can't let it. Not yet anyways. I'm not ready. Are you?" she said in a uneasy tone. TAG!? JEREMIAH WORD COUNT!? 486 OUTFIT!? OO PRETTYLYRICS!? As his ocean eyes watched the girl, he could sense her body starting to give way to the moon’s pull. Her wolf was pacing anxiously just waiting for the chance to leap through, and his wolf stayed cautiously back, blue eyes on the white canine. Everything in her wanted to let go and be free, but she seemed uneasy about it for some reason. She knew where to go and how to act, so he guessed she wasn’t exactly new to being a lycan. Something just seemed off with her demeanor. Maybe he had startled her a bit too much, but for both their safety, he hoped not.
She seemed to be in deep thought as she struggled to find any words to say to him. Finally, he heard her speak and she was rather blunt about it. He contributed that to the full moon that was slowly becoming visible behind the thin layer of clouds. He responded softly, his voice gentle and calm. “Yes…I’m a wolf…like you…” An unfamiliar look fell over his face as he listened to her speak of not being ready for it. Did she not accept that she was a lycan and love her wolf as he did his? Of course, there was always inner turmoil between him and his beast…especially when emotions were present. But, he always enjoyed full moons…getting to run free and wild, feeding until his beast was full and satisfied. Of course, it had taken some time to understand how certain things affected him, but he had accepted his fate long ago. For a moment, he wondered if she hadn’t yet.
With a slow nod, he answered. “I’m ready…and you should be too. Embrace the change rather than suppress it.” He spoke softly, his inner leader coming out. “Feel the rush of the moon’s ray against your skin…the adrenaline in your blood…let your wolf be free, but mentally try and keep things in check.” He paused for a moment, his large wolf taking a few steps towards hers. “Show your dominance and control your change.” He knew telling her to let herself be free could end badly, but he was strong and could help control her wolf if need be. Silver rays peaked from behind the cloud, illuminating the entire meadow in a glittery gray.

He was right. She should let loose and let her animal run free. But she just couldn't shake that familiar feeling right before her transformation. She had been so timid for so long, it was hard to just listen to some stranger as he told her how to control herself. Secretly she knew he was right, but she still didn't really know how this person was. What were his intentions? And why was he there at the exact moment she was, watching her from the bushes. She had never seen this man before, she couldn't of met him from somewhere. Maybe he saw her at the cafe. But she just couldn't remember if she had ever seen him before. But how could something bad smell and look this good. He had a certain pull to her and her inner wolf. Her wolf gently rubbed her nose on his leg, getting another woof of his scent. It didn't seem dangerous or threating. “Yes…I’m a wolf…like you…” she heard him say. Well that was somewhat soothing. At least she wouldn't be alone. Ever since her father died she has been alone. She loved her uncle to death, and he taught her well, but she just didn't feel comfortable changing in front of anyone. “I’m ready…and you should be too. Embrace the change rather than suppress it. Feel the rush of the moon’s ray against your skin…the adrenaline in your blood…let your wolf be free, but mentally try and keep things in check. Show your dominance and control your change.” she let out deep but slow breaths. "But I'm scared. What if she wants to venture out of the woods. I can't stop her." she said, her voice shaking. She was right, her wolf did have a mind of its own. It was getting stronger. Her blood was hot and her body was shaking slightly. She peered up towards the moon. It was here. The clouds were just thin enough to let the moons rays shine through and illuminate her pale skin. A sharp pain ran from her toes all the way up to her brain. It was intense and it signified the change was coming quickly. In just a matter of seconds she could feel her bones and joints cracking. She screamed out in pain and dropped to her hands and knee's. This was the worse part of the transformation. Her bones started to shift, hair started to rapidly grow out of every inch of her body. She could feel herself becoming less human and more animal. Within minutes of excruciating pain she had finally lost all her human features and appeared to be a small white wolf with bright yellow eyes. Lily was in her cage and the beast was out. TAG!? The moon’s rays were filling the meadow with a silvery essence, making everything look ethereal. Even now, he and Lily seemed to be bathing in silver. It was slightly ironic because both of them were weakened by metallic silver. A shiver crawled up his spine as he thought about the time he’d been shot with a silver bullet. The pain had been excruciating beyond control and even being an alpha wolf it paralyzed Jeremiah in his tracks. It really was a mystery why certain creatures were weak to different things. For vampires, it was holy items, wolves it was silver. The universe would always have its mysteries and to go in search of the answers could easily reel someone to insanity. But tonight was about a different set of answers: a moon’s pull to an inner beast. The rays flooded the meadow, slowly making their way towards the two of them. He heard her last few words of how she was scared of her wolf taking control and wandering from the forest, and he gave her a reassuring look. “I won’t let that happen…” He knew he would be strong enough to take dominance over her wolf, and he would if necessary. His wolf felt a pink nose sniffing at his hind leg and he turned, rubbing his own nose along hers. It was a friendly gesture…one that reassured her wolf that he wasn’t there to harm her and he would protect her if needed. Jeremiah’s eyes met Lily’s just as her whole body illuminated under the moon’ bright rays and he saw the transformation taking place within her. The scream sent chills dancing down his spine, adrenaline already starting to run hot as his own change neared. He would be able to withstand for a while, but his wolf was now very curious of the new female he had just met. Making sure she was fully transformed, he saw her pure white wolf standing in front of him. She was beautiful and looked to resemble Lily quite well. Putting his hands up in a cautious way, he took a few steps back as his transformation began to take control. He knew he would be able to communicate better as a wolf and so the familiar sensation of his bones cracking and repositioning as well as his body reforming to that of a wolf began. His wolf was quite a bit larger than hers and he stood on all fours in front of her, gray white and black fur surrounding the same crystal eyes Jeremiah had in human form. His wolf took caution, moving slowly closer to the female and leaning his head down in a slight bow of respect. He then waited. He didn’t know how the wolf would react, but he figured it best to just take things slow. To show his intentions were friendly, his gray and white tail began to wag back and forth lightly, a glint of playfulness in the ocean blue eyes. --Jeremiah's Wolf--

The pain was unbearable, but Lily had grown used to it. There was no turning back, she could only stand there and let the transformation take place. “I won’t let that happen…” he heard her say as her bones started to shift and break. She was not used to transforming in front of another person, let alone another werewolf. The last time she had changed in front of a stranger, he ended up in the hospital in a coma. But he had a glimmer in his eye, Lily's heart grew soft as her body went limp. Dropping to the ground on her hands and knee's she let out her last scream of pain before her change was complete. Her clothes ripped apart, laying in pieces on the ground. Within moments her soft sun-kissed skin was now covered with a thick snow white coat. Her size was slightly small, mimicking her actual size. But even with a small frame, her bite was just as deadly.
Closing her golden eyes for a moment she let out a breath as her wolf situated herself. Her animal instincts were in control now, there was no more Lily and only her inner beast. She screamed loudly in her head, trying to claw her way out just like her wolf did. But the animal side of her was too strong, she eventually gave up. Opening her eyes she looked up to see a larger grey wolf standing in front of her. Lily knew it was Jeremiah, but her wolf was still unsure. The grey wolf bowed his head as a sign of respect and Lily took note of that. It had been weeks since her wolf could roam free, being locked in a cage for twenty seven days out of the month she wanted to run, and run fast. Taking a step forward her wolf lightly sniffed the neighboring wolf, trying to see if he was of any danger to her. His scent was overwhelming, mouth watering even. It was strong and noticeable, she would have no trouble remembering it. He looked more comfortable with his wolf, easing Lily's anxiety more. Looking up into his matching blue eyes she let out a short howl, showing a sign of submission and playfulness. She lightly nibbled on the side of his neck, knowing she wouldn't hurt him she tried to get him to play with her. Galloping towards the deeper part of the woods she looked back at the grey wolf with a small smile. The silver rays beamed down on them, making her white coat look like freshly fallen snow. With another loud howl she signaled for him to follow as she ran into the woods. TAG!? JEREMIAH WORD COUNT!? 447 OUTFIT!? OO PRETTYLYRICS!? Jeremiah watched the snow-white wolf as she stood before him…sniffing him and trying to sense any impending danger. From the submission that followed, he knew she had recognized he wasn’t a threat and near immediately he saw her tail begin to wag in playfulness. He couldn’t help but admire the young wolf, his own tail swishing back and forth in the dim moonlight. As she nibbled at his neck, he tried to paw her out of her grip. But before he even had a chance to, reclaim his dominance; off she galloped towards the forest. A soft glint of happiness sparked in Jeremiah’s eyes as he followed her scent deep into the woods. Her loud howl echoed through the trees, making any smaller animals aware of their presence. In response, a low almost deafening howl escaped him, letting her know he was right behind her.
Leaping forward, dashing through the trees, his tail wagged ferociously as he was eager to catch back up to her. Finally doing so, he pounced on her and knocked her to the forest floor. He growled playfully as he moved and nibbled on her ear, pulling it gently before letting her up…moving back and lowering his upper body to the forest floor…his tail wagging high in the air. Ears perked, his wolf awaited her next move, ready to pounce again.
Regardless of what Jeremiah’s previous views on love and destiny might have been, he slowly felt himself growing more and more attached to the young wolf. She was beautiful both in human form and in wolf form, and her scent was intoxicating beyond comparison. His work had so much consumed him that he had been unable to experience playfulness and love…and it was a feeling he longed to have more of. Obviously nothing was set in stone, but he loved having another wolf like him to be around. It was a break from constant loneliness and it was a feeling he enjoyed. She seemed a little more comfortable in her wolf form, but he still knew she was a little hesitant. Maybe that’s where he would start…offering to help her control her transformations and learn to love and embrace her beast. It wasn’t an easy thing, but Jeremiah was confident he could do it. There was a reason he was starting to lead his own Pack.

Her speed had quickly slowed when she heard the sound of panting close behind her. He was gaining on her fast, something she was not expecting. Lily had always been light on her feet, even in wolf form and was considered to be one of the fastest runners in her class. The warm breeze swept through her thick coat of fur as she continued to run past the tree's, jumping and ducking stray branches in her path. Her golden eyes were fixated on the path ahead of her, her pink tongue hung out from the front of her slightly acute mouth as she panted for air. The ground felt slightly moist under the pads of her paws and shortly she would come to an area that was still slightly muddy from the previous night's rain shower. Dirty water splashed up onto her clean, white fur as her paws hit the forest floor. She didn't care if she got dirty or not and it wouldn't be the first time she had returned home with mud and leaves engrossed in her hair and clothes.
Tonight wouldn't be like any other night. There would be no hunting small animals for sport, only for energy and food and her night would not consist of trying to keep herself occupied by the slight amusement of chasing her own tail. She had a playmate, or better yet a mate, to spend her time with in the forest. For atleast one night she thought, but she hoped there would be plenty more just like this one. After years of being alone during the painful transformation and long nights of hunting and roaming the quiet woods, it was a breath of fresh air to be in the company of another just like her. Before she would of given both her legs and her right arm just to have this chance, and yet someone thought she was worthy enough for it to finally happen. With a slight glance her eyes widened once she realized just how close he was behind her and before she could even blink he jumped up in the air and landed on her back, pushing her over onto her side and nibbled the tip of her ear. She let out a soft whelp, not out in pain but because he had did a surprise attack on her. Rolling back onto her feet she turned her gaze back to the grey wolf only a few feet away from her. The glimmer in his eyes, the arch in his back and the speed of his wagging tail high up in the air told her he wanted to play. Her snow white fur was now covered in mud, droplets of dirty water dripped down from the bridge of her nose. She felt an adrenaline rush surge through her body with every breath she took. He looked regal to her, his confidence shone as bright as the moon and stars that glistened in the sky. She didn't care what they did to occupy their time, even if they just sat there and stared at each other the rest of the night, she wouldn't complain. Lily was comfortable with doing whatever he wanted and would follow his every step. His presence alone brought peace to her mind and soul and for the first time since they met only a short while ago she could now fully see his true colors. And as far as she knew they were her favorite.
With a soft howl she twisted her body away from him and swung her tail downward, hitting the small puddle in front of him and splashing bits of water onto his face. In her mind she was laughing and the only way she could express it to him was with the sounds of barking and panting. He had gotten her dirty when he pounced on her, she thought it was only fair she did it too. TAG!? JEREMIAH WORD COUNT!? enough OUTFIT!? OO PRETTYLYRICS!? The full moon cast down its silver rays upon the two wolves running happily through the forest. For once, it wasn’t a curse. It wasn’t a night meant to be spent alone hunting for the sake of something to do. Tonight was different, and Jeremiah openly accepted the change. Something about this young woman drew him in. She was beautiful and full of life. Even in her wolf form, she was a spirit that just made Jeremiah smile with awe. It amazed him that they had only met a couple hours prior. As they played in the forest, he couldn’t help but feel like he’d known her for so much longer. Maybe it was the happiness she brought to him, or the relaxing feeling he had when he was around her. He didn’t know, and to be honest, he didn’t care. All he knew was he enjoyed where he was right now…and that was with Lily.
Ocean blue eyes, the same as Jeremiah’s own, peered at the now dirty white wolf. It almost looked like he was smiling as he looked up at her from the forest floor, his belly scraping across the dirt as he moved around a little, obviously wanting to play. And from the splash of dirty water that hit his head and snout from Lily’s tail, he knew she did as well. The coldness of the water had caught him off guard and he was a bit dazed for a moment. Shaking his fur to get the water droplets off, he panted lightly…his few white spots now brown from the muddy water. And before she had another chance to splash him again, he pawed up at her a couple times…looking like he was trying to touch her nose with his paw. Moving his head back and forth he finally moved back down with his front paws and belly on the ground and his tail wagging high in the air as a playful few barks filled the night.
Not staying on the ground for long though, he moved forward and managed to get his paw on her neck and pulled her down, nibbling on her ear and then softly biting in dominance on her neck as if to say ‘I win’ even though the two were just playing. It had been ages since he’d felt so invigorating by someone, and he loved the feeling of the adrenaline in his veins. But by instinct, he paused from the nibbling on her neck and ears and put his nose in the air, sniffing deeply. The scent of deer had filled the area.
Nuzzling against Lily one last time, he moved away from her…his ears perked for any sign of movement in the forest. All was quiet, and his eyes darted from the forest edge to Lily. Whether they liked it or not, the two of them had to eat at some point tonight. And with the deer so near them, now was the perfect time. There would be plenty of time for play until the sun came up. Jeremiah could feel his stomach hungry for food though, and he knew Lily’s probably was too. He didn’t want to risk anything by waiting until the last minute to hunt.
And then suddenly, he finally heard it: the soft patter of hooves against the damp forest floor. The sound was mostly absorbed by the water from the previous night’s rain, but his lycan senses were able to make out exactly where the deer was. With his tail wagging lightly, he howled up at the moon…alerting all others out there that he had found his game. Well…his and Lily’s game. He looked back at Lily with a slight sparkle in his eye and then was off, chasing after the deer that so willingly lingered near death. He knew Lily was right behind him, he could hear her movements. Together they ran through the quiet forest, theirs beasts having control….desiring the taste of meat.
