Martyn sat in a tree in the forest outside the small town. The trees were scilent and the air moist but it was amazing to his scences. He loved the freedom and the fact that no smell other then the wood slid to his nose. This was his utopia, this was where he thought he belonged now. Martyn closed his eyes and let his ears and nose take control. He wanted to know for a fact no one was around when he changed. The risk of getting caught changing was to much of a price to be careless and right now, in this new town, he wanted to keep his secret just that. Luckily he could only smell the moss on the tree, the bark and the flora. Yet.... then there was the wierd scent. It was just what he had caught in the diner his first time into Forks. It unurved him but nothing in the forest reached his ears. So Martyn open his eyes, took a deep breath and pulled his shirt off, then one by one, undressed the rest of the way. He laid his clothes neatly on the tree branch and then pushed himself off it and onto the ground below. His bare feettouched the cold dirt as he took a long slow look around. The cold, moist air touched everyone of his scars that ripped through almost every inch of his musculer figure. The part of his past he wished to forget. That was not what he needed or wanted to think about. A warnth grew from his chest, slowly creeping through his vains. The sensation was one he only felt on rare occasions when he couldn't hold back the change....like right now. This time though was diffrent. All those other times he would know it was fruitless but he would try to resist. Now though....He wanted to feel the rush, to become what he was. This time he welcomed it. And within seconds his body had changed into the great cat he really was. The Tiger he had ALWAYS been.

Edward was wanting to be on his own for a while and hunt. A lot has happened since he got back to Forks. He wanted to see his wife but he knew he could not do that until he ate some thing. He had a lot on his mind. Hunting always made him calm. Edward sped at deeper into the forest of Forks. He was very much a lone now. There would be no cell phone service out here as well. As soon as he got where he wanted he was satisfied. And slowed down.
He walked along a brook...He could smell the water perfectly. The trees even smelled great. It was good to be back in familiar hunting grounds. Edward sat on the ground as he listened for any sound of big movements. For once he was on his own. He needed this time by himself. He just needed to unwind and take a breather....Even though he could not breathe...He wanted to so badly. He felt so relaxed in his surroundings. As he listened again for any loud movements....
Some one managed to pop back in his head....Some one he thought he was completely over with....
“I have to figure out what to tell people. Why I won’t be home for Christmases. Why I won’t visit... Why they’ll never see me again.” “After a few decades, everyone you know will be dead. Problem solved.” “Why are you so against me becoming like you?” “I’ve already told you.” “Be honest with me. There's more.” “I know the consequences of this choice you’re making. I’ve lived through it, and to let you suffer that… You believe I have a soul, but I don’t. But to risk yours, just for the sake of never having to lose you, is the most selfish thing I’ll ever do.” "I thought that you were afraid that I'd be too different. Like I wouldn't be...warm, I wouldn't smell the same." "You'll always be my Bella. My Bella just less fragile."
Before he knew it, it was raining as he thought of what that was...Of what once was once a long time ago. It was his mind. No one could change what he wanted to think. His life was a wreck with out Bella. Until he met the most amazing woman in the world...The question for him was, did he make the right choice? He had no one to talk to about this...He was alone. And it was raining. It was an awful selfish thought in his head. He knew where Bella was and who she chose. Now it seemed that this memory would never happen...He had gotten what he wanted for her...Safety from his kind...But was it really worth this? No...He had a new life...A new love to come home to...Why was he thinking of the past...? Because it was plainly written all over his face. He was still in love with Bell and nothing would change that...He felt like a cheater with another woman in his mind....

Martyn moved through the forest with speed. In his Tiger form he was free to run and move like no one ever could. The sensation was intoxicating in every way. He hadn’t felt this good in soo long because of all his running away. Now though, it was over. If he could run like this without consequence then this was the life.
The pads of his paws gripped to the ground as he tore through it, looking for food, smelling the air for deer or anything else. Martyns nose was filled with the air but, as he past a river the smell he had been picking up since he had gotten to Forks exploded. The strength was a little more than he could take. His great tiger head turned and looked towards the river where he spotted a man sitting at the water bank, looking out at the waters. The great cat crouched so that he was hidden in the brush, keeping his eyes on the human. If this was where the smell was coming from then there was something different about this human then the others. This one was maybe not even human, either that or LOVED to bleach his clothes.
Martyn kept his ears perked, waiting for the slightest of sounds from around him. It was habit. He always made sure that no one could sneak up on him or surround him. Yet this Human, he would call it that till he was proven wrong, staid where he sat, deep in thought.

Edward was still in the same spot. He was aware of what was behind him. Some thing large. But he was making out he was not knowing by doing nothing to make him known he was a vampire. Right now, he could not muster up the strength to hunt. Even though he needed it desperately. His own past was haunting him. He was not in the best condition right now. Though all he could think about was blood. Bella was another thing all he could think about. He looked down at his wedding ring. As he took it off for a moment so he would not loose it when he was ready to hunt. The ring costs more than the jacket he was wearing to use to hunt in. He never wore his good designer clothes for hunting.
After a while of letting the past get in his way, he had to get in the hunting mood. He was in that mood now that his eyes were blood shot red. Edward was not aware of the new species popping up in Forks. He was just another vampire living there for now until he got a call from Aro saying he had to return to work. But since he just got there, he knew that would not happen any time soon. Edward too was thinking about the subject he and his wife talked about starting a family. He wanted to, but would she? He still did not know that Brooke had asked Liv for help. Funny how being alone you mind can wander in all directions at once....Edward never left his spot at the stream. If that animal behind him wanted to attack then he would get a fight. But still Edward never let on that he was a vampire....

Martyn kept his body crouched and his eyes on the being. It had moved every now and then but didn't seem to either notice or mind that he was there. It seemed to him that maybe this one, even though his smell was strong, was simply just a human. If that was the case then it was best for him to leave. The fact of seeing a large tiger stalking in the woods of upstate Washington was probably not a good idea. He had to think of the fact that he was trying to keep all this a secret for now. No one who wasn't of his kind need know he was what he was.
So he stood and moved slowly back in the shadows, letting out a low grumble. Not as a threat but a curiuse noise, possibly to see if the human would react. Martyn didn't really know why he did it but it had happened. The odd part of it was is he couldn't keep his eyes off the new creature. Had he known what to call it he would have approached, and maybe he still should. Thing was he did not want or need to be attacked. If only he wasn't so hungry he would have gone back and gotten his clothes and then gone to investigate. now though he would go hunting, come bakc and see what manner of human this was. And that was exactly what he did.
Martyn came back an hour later, the furr around his lips cacked with small bits of meat and blood. He knew the way simply by the smell the Human was giving off.

Edward never left his spot. He was aware of the large animal hiding in the back of him returning. Maybe trying to see if it could attack him? Boy, this animal would be shocked. It was not off that Edward could not tell what this animal really was. He was a vampire. But even vampires had limits. He just thought that animal was just a large cat. Yes he at least knew it was a tiger in the back of him. Edward was not in the mood to kill right though. Edward pulled out his cell phone. He wanted to call his wife. So he called her. But she did not answer her cell when did. So he left her a voice message instead. And he hung up. "I know you're back there....You're not the same as some of the others I've met. There is some thing different about you isn't there? That's why I've not moved from this spot yet..."
Edward finally stood up and turned around to face tiger. He was far from being afraid of the large animal. Because he knew the cat would smell some thing odd about him as well. As Edward looked at large majestic cat, he was in awe to be in the presence of some thing so beautiful....So graceful...Edward didn't fear tigers. He had respect for them....Which is why he refused to make them a part of his menu....

Martyn was shocked. This one knew not only that he was there but knew atleast he wasn't actually a tiger. He backed up slightly, feeling oddly nervus. He couldn't figure any of this out. Was this one not even human? They're eyes locked quickly and Martyn saw something almost....lifeless about the person. Thoughts of vampires crossed his mind but he pushed them away quickly. THAT was impossible. Yeah there were the diffrent kinds of Were's and shape shifters, but that was only because they had a hold on nature most others didn't a gift from God that helped them. Who are you? Martyn tried to say in his mind. The non threatening growl that came out of his lips was from his words registering as words to his body aswell. He wasn’t sure that this one couldn’t hear what he had said. The only thing he did know is this one wasn’t human , that was it. The air around them seemed to be still as if nature was holding her breath aswell. It wasn’t like he believed in the whole mother nature thing but when he thought of the forest and earth he had always called it a HER.

Who are you? Edward finally read the tiger's mind. Since he was half human Edward would be able to read him like he could Jacob Black in wolf form. The tiger was wondering if he was a vampire. Should Edward tell him? He could sense the nervous feeling coming from the tiger. But Edward was not about to attack if that is what the tiger thought. "My name's Edward Cullen. I'm a vampire...But I won't hurt you..." He just as calmly as he saw the tiger back away from him. It figures. A lot of things were scared of vampires. Edward was trying as hard as he could to not scare the animal off. He wanted to know more. This was the first time Edward had ever seen a shifter like this.
"Now that you know my name. Would you be so kind as to tell me yours?" He asked still calm and collected. As he never left the spot he was at. He didn't want the tiger to be scared of him. He was trying his hardest for that not to happen. Now that he thought about, Edward remembered the police of Forks speaking about a large creature in the woods. And had warned humans not to go in....Until it was resolved....Was this the animal they were talking about? Edward saw nothing to be scared of. Then again he was a vampire. If a human saw the tiger then they would most likely be scared senseless....

When the words VAMPIRE rolled off the man known as Edwards lips Martyn lost all hope of showing he was not shocked. His eyes had grown out of pure and intence shock and without realizing it he had lost control of his form and quickly regained his human physique, luckely after jumping behind a log so that only his top half was visiable.
"Your a what?" He had not been able to speak for atleast a minute or two, trying to regain his composure and his minds realization that he was Human once more. The shock of this admission from this guy was slightly over powering. Yeah, he knew that this dude did not smell right, but Martyn had never thought that he could ACTUALLY be a vampire.
"How is that possible, only Natraul beings exsist." It didn't come till after he had spoken these words that it might have sounded rude. Yeah he was shocked but his christian morals still kept him from being a total ass.
"Sorry I don't mean your an abomination or anything, I'm just confused. I had no idea that Vampires could be even possible." His words were pure apologetic in nature and meaningful in everyway. He had no reason not believe or even trust this Edward. It was just a pure shoke.

"Your a what?" "How is that possible, only Natural beings exist." It was natural for not to be believed what Edward told him. Some times even Edward still couldn't believe it himself...He sure did not when Carlsile changed him in 1918. "Sorry I don't mean your an abomination or anything, I'm just confused. I had no idea that Vampires could be even possible."
"And here you are. I never thought you would exist either. But you do. You must be what the police are looking for. I think that is not right. As long as you don't hurt humans what harm are you really causing?" This coming from a veggie vampire too. "Seems strange that that is coming from some one like me. But, that's how I see it. I've not heard once that there had been any attacks on humans. And yet they pose you as a threat...."
Edward still remained where he was. He was just in awe that he was talking to a tiger. A were tiger. This was the first time Edward had ever been afraid of one animal. Because the tiger was obviously a lot stronger. And could rip his head off in a heart beat. Edward hoped that's not what the tiger wanted. If Edward needed to he'd help the animal. And keep his existence a secret....He would....

Martyn look at him confused.
"I moved here not two weeks ago, just started school." He hadn't heard much about any attacks or odf a scare....did he need to be more careful? Then there was the realization that he had just stated that Edward wanted to make sure he wasn't hurting humans.
"NONO, the polar opposite, I have no intention of hurting anyone. I have no reason to and I came here to get away from that aspect of what I am." Martyn looked down at the scars that tore through his exposed chest.
"My own kind sometimes will feed on humans....like your kind...and...well. I guess you could say they don't like it when you try to protect they're food." A vision of the fight flashed through his mind. His whole clan, atleast twelve other weretigers, in full form ripping him apart because he protected the sweet little infant and her family. He had no intention of ever being what his family was.
"If anything I really want to protect humans, maybe even try to establish myself here so I can keep the ones in this small town safe."

"I moved here not two weeks ago, just started school." Edward didn't attend school any more. So he would not know that part. "NONO, the polar opposite, I have no intention of hurting anyone. I have no reason to and I came here to get away from that aspect of what I am." "My own kind sometimes will feed on humans....like your kind...and...well. I guess you could say they don't like it when you try to protect they're food."
Edward just got a glimpse of a memory in his mind...Of other tigers attacking this one all at once. Some thing about a baby he wanted to protect. But Edward said nothing. Since he has no idea that Edward can read minds....He decided that not everyone needed to know his ability..."I can understand that all to well..."
Edward felt the same way. "If anything I really want to protect humans, maybe even try to establish myself here so I can keep the ones in this small town safe." "Don't want to be a downer but, that would be a waste of time...." Edward didn't want to disappoint the tiger, but Forks was not your typical town of scared humans running around. There were other creatures roaming around. And Edward only felt it was best to warn the tiger about the wolves.....
"I know you may mean no harm and all. But, vampires are not the only thing lurking in this town. There's other creatures here as well. It's my job to warn you about them. They're wolves....Huge wolves...And they are very protective of their land...This is basically considered their land. So I'd watch myself....I'm just warning you. By the way, you never told me your name...."

Martyn nodded when Edard explained about the wolves.
"I smelled them when I was in this town, I think it was called La Push? I road through there and only came apon Forks cause I was looking for a place that was unclaimed." It was a downer that the area was claimed and even more that he couldn't and wouldn't be able to claim land, of course it didn't mean he couldn't surfice a clan here. The idea though that others had been living in this town the whole time made him flash through his memories and soon he realized the smell.
"Thats what it was....The smell of bleach.." His eyes met Edwards and he let his nostrals pull in the Vampires smell. Holy hell.. So that had been what he had caught on immediatly entering Forks. A nagging feeling, his instincts, were telling him to move on, to pick up his living situation and head out. Yet then there was the part of him that was tired of running. He was tired of living a on a bike and not havingt a place where he could actually be LIVING and havea a place to LIVE.
Which brought about Edwards next words. He had asked about Martyns name, actually seeming interested to know who he really was.
"My name is Martyn Aris." Maybe it was because of this simple conversation, or maybe he was warming up to the one infront of him....warming being figuretive of course.

"I smelled them when I was in this town, I think it was called La Push? I road through there and only came apon Forks cause I was looking for a place that was unclaimed." "That's what it was....The smell of bleach..""Excuse me...?" "My name is Martyn Aris." "Edward Cullen. Nice to meet you." Maybe this tiger would be the distraction Edward needed from his thoughts....Cause as long as Edward was alone and here of all places, his mind was sure to wander again back to her. And he hated having to think about her....He loved Brooke, he was married to Brooke. He remembered how hard Carlisle said getting over your first love with be....But Edward didn't know it would be this hard.
Edward wanted to know more about Martyn but the only way to do that is be sneaky and read the mind. But Edward couldn't do that. He respected the privacy of others. But some times it was just too much and Edward had to be forced to read the others mind. Like if Aro forced him and Edward didn't want to. But he always knew the deal he made with Aro would some how come back as a reminder and Edward would cave in and read the weak ones minds or who ever Aro wanted him to...."You look shocked....Didn't believe vampires existed?" He asked.

Martyn looked at the Vampire who called himself Edward. He had never known that vampires actually were around. He thought and had been taught that they were stories to explain the natraul monsters that really were around. Not that he really cared, Martyn had learned long ago that weretigers were one of the few kept secrets in the world. As they began to talk more Martyn was starting to realize he might have something in common with this one. Maybe he could even help Martyn.
Though When Edward asked about him being shocked Martyn smirked. “Well see I was always taught that it was just weres and shape shifters. That Vampires were made up creatures that were used to explain OUR existance. Obviusly the anciant writing were wrong.” The fact that his clan had been around since before the Romans drove back to Celts in the British isles made it easy for Martyn to be able to look into history that had not even been written. He remembered how the different clans would war and how he would actually enjoy stories of the Leopords and tigers going at it in the fields of the isles. How even a memorial had been errected because of one of the battles, a memorial that was known now as Stone Hedge. That wasn’t important now though what was was the fact that he was in there here and now and that he had found what he thought not to be real. Which he needed to use.
“Is it just you here? Or are there more of you?”
