The night felt as though it had come and went - fast. Once again, Caline was up on her computer all night, watching the online chatrooms for a familiar screen name. It belonged to Noah Allen. Alas, no one with his screen name signed on, and she was lost once more. She wasn't sure why she kept hope that he would come back to her. For all she knew, he had met someone else. At the thought of it, she became infuriated. Caline slammed her laptop down on her bed and stomped down the stairs, shaking slightly. "Cay, don't leave, please," Alfered pleaded from the living room where he sat, staring at the television as he tried to 'decipher the coding' as he called it. She bit her lower lip, debated it, then anger flushed over her emotions once more. Turning from his sight, she ran out the door and outside.
They lived in a nice cabin in the middle of the woods, which meant she didn't need to travel far for food. Caline wasn't going hunting, though. She needed to think. Climbing up one of the tallest of trees, she hung among the branches as though it were a hammock. She laid her head back against the trunk, staring up at the dark leaves that cast shadows on her pale features. Tears stung at her eyes, forcing her to open her eyes wider. She would not cry. Of course, she knew that in the end tears would solve nothing. They would not create an ocean of which Noah could sail back to her in. They would not cool down the heat stored within her feelings. As the tears fell onto her skin, she felt them sort of freeze. Cay turned onto her side and stared at the ground. Squirrels frolicked around the tree trunk, then ran off at the smell of a predator. A few bunnies were seen a couple feet away, burrowing themselves deeper into their homes. Cay watched them, and shortly all fell quiet.
And when everything was quiet, the sun rose. Caline decided to head back home, doing so quite quickly. Upon entering the house, Alfered sat on the first step of the stairs. "There's nothing I can do...nothing you can do," he said calmly. Cay nodded, then pushed past him and headed back up to her room. She quickly changed out of her clothes from the previous day and into something newer. She slipped a red, large sweater with a white heart on it over herself, pulled up a pair of black jeans, and paired the outfit with gold bangles and red heels. After tossing all the leaves and bits of branch out of her hair, she went back downstairs. "We'll hunt today...after school," she said to him clearly, then exited. It would be so easy to just run to school, yet she had to play the part. Caline was supposedly a junior in high school, and the thought made her laugh.
Caline shoved her books over to the passenger side of the car as she slid into her custom made Lexus. Al had taken out the original seats and cupholders, and put in a bench seating in the front area of the car. It was pretty cool, to say the least. Still, Cay didn't really like to drive. It, and some other issues, made her wreck her last car - a blue Volkswagen Beetle. Sliding into her car, she started it up quickly and drove to school. Forks High wasn't made to hold a lot of students, so it was a good thing not many attended it. Cay drove in the parking lot, avoiding the stares of the people she got every day. Slamming the door and leaving it unlocked, she went to the other side. Caline grabbed her books, shoved them into a white tote bag, and swung it over her shoulder after closing the door. She then, of course, headed up to the school.
For some reason, Cay got attention she didn't like or deserve. She was a monster, and there was no reason she should have been admired for it. Rolling her eyes, she walked into the building. The halls were full of kids that morning, but it didn't bother her. While she felt her throat burn slightly, she was used to being among humans. Caline adjusted the bag on her shoulder and continued on to where her locker was. She never used it. There was no point to use it when she could easily carry all of her books by hand; the bag was just for looks. She leaned against her locker and began her morning people-watching. For a vampire, she had a very boring life. The only real sense of entertainment she got was observing human behavior, and chasing after animals.

Vlad couldn't believe he was in some 'elite high school', according to what his adopted parents had told him; apparently starting today Vladimir Elric was starting his first junior year of high school. Honestly though, he didn’t care what grade he was in. Vlad didn’t plan on learning anything from this school. What can a human possibly teach him – a one hundred year old immortal who witnessed everything mankind has been through? He didn’t need to be ‘educated.’ Anyways, he was just here to kill time. There was nothing to do in this Dullville of a town. Olivia Volturi and his little monster, Grace Michaels, were away on business meaning Vlad had so much extra time on his hands. He hated to admit but he actually missing his girls. Olivia and Grace held a special spot in Vlad’s cold heart. Heck, Vlad didn’t even know he had a heart!
So here he was, on his 'first' day of school, wondering why the hell he was even here. He rode the Ducati to school today. He loved riding his bike; his enjoyed the speed this engine had. He grinned putting his bike up towards the parking lot, taking someone parking spot. All eyes were on him, when he took off his helmet. Of course, the only reason Vlad masked his face in the first place was to make a dramatic entrance on the first day. Like on cue, there were chords of gasps and aah’s at the pretty new boy. It was a decent day. Decent in the fact it wasn’t raining. It wasn’t too warm. It wasn’t too cold. He loved the getting the attention, boys wishing they were him, girls wanting to get his number. When he got off his bike, he was immediately assaulted by the soft, purring voices of the females student within hearing distance. A masculine chuckle and a wink set off a wave of giggles, echoing behind him as he progressed his wave farther into the school. Ah so far, so good. He made his way down the hallways, when his contacted blue eyes settled on a vegetarian vampire. Woo, he didn’t expect to run into a veggie head so soon. Oh well, better make himself known to her. She appeared close to his age, which was rare for Vlad to find now a days. He walks over to her and come halt in front of her. He kept a safe distance from her, giving her personal space. No need to make enemies on the first day of school. “Hey, I just started school today, mind showing me the office?” he asked, curiously. Although, Vlad already knew where the office of registration was since his last night visits. All well, he used any excuse he can to talk to this stranger.TAG!? cals / open MUSE!? rihanna - rehab WORD COUNT!? 466 NOTES!? i hope you didn't mind me posting with you! let me know i delete D:

Caline had been standing there for quite some time, just watching people. She had decided to turn, leaning more to the left and looking down the hall. Her eyes were slightly dark, almost black, because she hadn't fed in some time. She hated to feed. While she stayed away from feeding off of humans, she hated to feed of animals. She was an animal-lover. It was strange for someone like her. Her entire history, or what Alfered could tell her of it, was spent with her parents and animals. Her father had apparently wanted to be a nomad, so he took his wife and daughter, Caline, with him. They had caught a disease of sorts, and were dying from it. Al saved her.
Why did he have to save her? She was a simple-minded, animal-loving vegetarian vampire. She was a monster, and nothing more. Cay was convinced that that was the true reason Noah had left her. He had finally come to terms with the fact that she was nothing more than a monster, and she couldn't love. Even though she really did love him, if that was what she could do, he had left her. Caline didn't want to think about it, though. The pain she had endured when coming back to Forks and finding him gone was enough. She didn't want to remember it at all. She wanted it to fade like after waking from a dream.
Her thoughts flustered from the idea of Noah to a scent. The smell of human blood wasn't the only thing in the air. There was another vampire. Cay's defenses rose, and she turned around. Though she didn't get in a fighting stance, she looked very nervous. She was happy, though, that the man kept a comfortable distance away from her. It was a sign that he knew how to deal with other vampires. Caline loosened up slightly, though still in shock of the fact that another vampire was attending Forks High. “Hey, I just started school today, mind showing me the office?” Was he really going to try and play off the obvious fact that he was a vampire, like her? Cay sort of understood, though. He didn't want a scene. Whether or not he had already been to the office was of doubt, but she decided company from someone of her status couldn't be a bad thing if he encouraged it. "Sure. This way," she motioned, then walked past him and turned left down the hallway, knowing he would surely follow.

Vlad let out a deep sigh, being around all this humans made him hungry. It’d been far too long since he’d last eaten, and the hunger was beginning to claw away at his stomach. Hmm... let’s see... what was the last thing he ate? It had to have been that little boy from the park. Ha. His mother’s reaction when she noticed her boy was missing was absolutely priceless. Her eyes couldn’t possibly have popped out any more... However, Vlad did find it a bit humorous that her reaction took as long as it did. Her son had to have been gone a good five minutes before it even occurred to her that nothing had tugged at her shirt in a while. Oh well. He was easy prey, and maybe next time, that failure of a mother will be a little more careful with her “precious assets.”
Ah, food. He could smell it all around him as the student body walk passed him. It wasn’t exactly strong, but he really wasn’t breathing too hard. His mind was set and his throat was burning. He would have to feed tonight. And no, he wasn’t going to eat anyone in his school. That was far too dangerous... instead; he was going to stake out in a the street from Olivia’s house in Ports, wait for nightfall. It was a simple routine, one he’d executed perfectly many many times before. Only once or twice had he been caught, but being Vlad, he’d played it off like a pro.
His smile when the veggie head starting leading him towards the office. “Thanks, not many people are friendly towards the new guy. You know, I hope we can become good friends.” He added the last part quickly. Vlad was going to be in a school filled with humans. Lame. He wanted a least one friend that he didn’t have to worry about crashing. Besides, half the Cullen clan hated him. Which Vlad really didn’t care if they did, still having a vampire friend wouldn’t hurt. He wouldn’t have to bug Olivia so much. Besides, Vlad misses having ladies friend. It just a bonus this girl happen to look his age. “I’m Vlad by the way. Yours?” He walks along side her going towards the office. Humans eyes were on them, loud whisper started to echo into Vlad’s ear. He just blocked them out, not caring what the foolish humans were saying about him.TAG!? cals / open MUSE!? silence WORD COUNT!? 409 NOTES!? blah blah blah

“Thanks, not many people are friendly towards the new guy. You know, I hope we can become good friends.” Caline thought about that in her mind. She knew that when she had come to Forks High, her first day was a nightmare. The students there weren't exactly friendly, but they weren't mean either. They stared at her like she was from another world, which she very well could have been. She looked like a goddess. Cay, though, laughed it off. She knew if they really knew what she was, what she did, they wouldn't stare. They would look away in disgust or in fear, and never think her beautiful. It was such a curse to be a beast.
Cay nodded, though, as he followed. "I know how it is," she said, responding to the first part of his response. The part of being good friends was iffy. Caline found it very hard to make friends with people. It wasn't because she disliked anyone. The main reason was that she had a hard time trusting people. She had trusted Noah to be there when she returned, and he wasn't. She had trusted her father with leading his family to safety, and she was granted a disease. Not only did she acquire the disease from the animals, but from a monster - from Alfered. The disease of a killer would forever be in her, and she would always be infected.
But as she thought longer, she knew that having a friend wouldn't be a bad thing, especially if it was a vampire. Having more vampires as allies than enemies was definitely a positive. Caline bit her lower lip before speaking, then looked at him. "Yes...well, we'll see with time," she said, half-teasingly. She smiled, a whole hearted smile, then looked back ahead. "Vlad, hm? I'm Caline, or Cay for short. Whichever you call me is your choice, for I have no preference," she spoke softly, with a definite nod. Her eyes laid upon the door to the office, and she stopped upon approaching it. "Here it is, Vlad. If you'd like, I can wait for you here."

Vlad could hear all round them what the other humans were saying he didn't pay much mind to it as to the humans were easy to read, and vampires took some work. He gave the vampiress a slight smile, “So you don’t mind if I call you Wednesday?” His smile widens,” from the Adams family, you sort of look like that freaky pale daughter.” He joked. He wonders if she can take jokes. If this chick didn’t have a sense of humor, then this friendship would be going nowhere fast.”Be right back.” He disappears into the office to get his school stuff. The people behind the desk where taken by surprise from Vlad’s unnatural beauty and took longer than expected to give him silly things like a locker number. Psst, as if he were going to be carrying books around for a whole year. Few minutes later, Vlad reappear next to Cay. He took a quick glance at his paper, telling him where his classes are and quickly shove it into his back jean pocket.
"Not bad. I’m actually looking forward to gym." Vlad smiled a bit more openly now in some way he was showing through his smile that for now Vlad semi trusted Cay. They had to build their friendship on something and Vlad really didn’t trust easily but Cay had such a good vibe about her. He couldn’t completely brush her off. "So where does your hell begin at?" Vlad remembered hearing the students talk about how much they hated school and how they it’s a personal hell hole for young humans. If this is what humans thought was hell then maybe they needed a rain check on things. Vlad can definitely show these students what hell really is like. But, ugh that stupid rule about not eating where you shit.
"So how long have you been in this school?" Vlad asked Cay, curiously. He smiled a little noticing how nice Cay was being and knowing that she must have wanted to talk or just pass time away until class. That was cool. Vlad wasn’t really coming to school to learn anything. Just to have time pass him by more faster. He hated lounging around at home with nothing to do. It was completely boring and he was slowly losing his mind. A bit more than usual anyways. TAG!? cals / open MUSE!?destiny's child - what's my name WORD COUNT!? 391 NOTES!? blah blah blah
