willow gae prentessCharacter Play-by: nina dobrev
name: willow gae prentess age: nineteen gender: female orientation: heterosexual race: human birthplace: new york city, new york current location: la push, washington occupation: waitress, stripper at night
personality: protective and willing are the two most common words associated with willow. she's learned to do what is necessary to get things done, often protecting herself and those that she holds dearly - especially zachary [see history]. she knows when to act in what manner but for the most part is a sweet, young mom trying to get her way in the world. she has a low-paying job and the other job waivers, but the money is often hidden as she can't let people know about it. she has pride in herself despite that one detail and tries to make it look like it isn't flawed.
but willow has the temper. if you threaten her, she probably will kick your ass. she fights for what she believes and to get her way, being as willow is quite headstrong for the majority of things. she doesn't like loosing either, so some see her as competitive. she just wants things to work out in her favor, but doesn't everyone? she often uses a certain 'charm' that she possesses to get things to flow in her favor. she's well aware of this as well, giving her confidence in her appearance almost always. but in her eyes confidence is the key to success. all of her life she's thought that, even with school and sports. neither she was a star at other than perhaps when it came down to history and drill team, but that was because they were the few things she actually showed mild interest in. detailed history: being born for the most part raised in the famous city of new york had never been a problem for young willow gae prentess. even the absence of a father hadn't been a problem for her - as her mother and baby brother (though really he was only a few minutes young) was all that she had ever needed. they were her family and she never thought about having anyone else. many thought that she was a big strange for this but she was willing to stick with her family and friends and be more than thankful. after all, she was aware there were much worse situations she could be on. new york city was a large place and had more than enough crime that made it on the news.
of course that didn't mean that willow was lucky enough to avoid all of that. things went on in school hallways that went unnoticed. fights, drugs, harassment - the whole nine yards. maybe she could have done a better job at avoiding it in high school, but it wasn't easy in a large high school. which was perhaps how she got entangled and pregnant at seventeen - none of which had been her plans, as she had only been a junior at the time. but that large, imtamable high school was how she met the father of the child: alex.
a baby boy wasn't exactly what the brunette had expected out of it. to willow it had been a careless relationship that merely had gone to far and she hadn't realized how violent alex could be. what willow didn't realize more importantly was that he was cruel and strong enough to physically rape her. needless to say it emotionally scared her, but not enough apparently as she never revealed it to a soul. but when she realized she was pregnant she lied, saying it had been her idea. her mother wanting to protect her from having a baby at such a young age sent her out to live with her father's parents, on the reservation of la push. that wasn't her plan of course, but she knew she couldn't do anything else to stop it from happening.
nine months later when willow was already eighteen, out popped little zachary harold prentess. her beautiful baby boy, her life-line and her life in general. a baby was the last thing that any sane eighteen year old wanted. of course, the fact that her grandparents weren't supportive weren't helpful. they instead went off and bought another house, leaving her in their old house to care for herself. for the first few months she hardly left the place - only to get food and other necessary supplies. but by the point where she had gained control of herself emotionally and was able to start living again her baby was five months old. she had changed drastically from the old girl she had been, and now has become the fierce, overly-protective type.
but along with that has come the fearless, willing to do anything type. which is the main cause of her late night job. leaving when her boy's tucked away isn't easy and the shift doesn't allow her much sleep, honestly. but being a stripper doesn't allow her much of anything anymore. the only thing it does allow her is a lot of money - or at least a lot more than she should be getting in with her waitress job. but to her that is what's necessary, and that is what she's going to keep doing until she finds another option. fears: death. supernatural creatures. loosing her son. strengths: fiercely protective. mentally strong. willing to do what's necessary. confident. weaknesses: will do anything for loved ones. physically weak. impatient. mildly vain. likes: sunny days. the beach. fashion. being able to talk to people. her son. relaxing. greece. history. dislikes: loosing people. gossip. drama. bitches in general. her late night job. being short on money constantly. traveling.
facial appearance: with a well proportioned face, willow isn't hard to look at. she has smooth, full lips that for the most part are even and balance out the rest of her face. she has somewhat low cheek-bones, but they fit her. clothing: very up-to-date style, nothing you wouldn't expect from a teenager. build: lithe and flexible, somewhat strong but slender marks/scars: small scar on the palm of her hand from falling out of a tree. species appearance: n/a powers: n/a
