Logan Anthony CartellCharacter Play-by: Colin Ferrel
name: Logan Anthony Cartell age: Appears 20 gender: Male orientation: Straight race: {New} Vegetarian vampire birthplace: New York City current location: Travels; soon traveling to Washington to find sister occupation: Used to be a marine. Now travels.
personality: As a human Logan had a pretty simple life. Get up. Go to school. Come home. Sleep. As he got older, school was replaced with work. That was the least of his problems. Growing up, Logan was basically a carefree kid with an ambition to do things instead of sitting around and watching television. He used to fuss around a lot with everything he saw. As his little sister got older she hung around with his big sister, Summer, most of the time. As Summer got older and more involved with everything else, Logan and Madison became closer. This made Logan more protective and aware of what he was doing rather than blowing it off and carrying on without thinking it through first. He didn’t want her to EVER get hurt, of course that didn’t happen. Family values were always important to him, he is a very social person and doesn’t enjoy being alone. Logan is mostly into rock music because the beat was always exciting and energizing; easy to flow with.
He always has had a sense of humor toward most things and loves to have fun. Thinking positive has always been part of his needs, without it there would be no luck…without any luck who knows where he would be today…or if he would still be here. Although he was carefree as a child, Logan grew into a responsible, caring, and respectful young man but still kept his fun and humorous side with him. He believes that maybe, just maybe, there is a good side to everything and everyone. You just have to find it somehow. Logan also is very hard working toward what he wants and needs. However, don’t let him fool you…he can get annoyed and angry easily. His anger tends to ball up inside him until it finally just explodes. He also can be greedy sometimes but will work for it. Logan is also not very good at making big decisions and often doesn’t have a plan until he actually puts it in motion. detailed history: Logan Anthony Cartell was born to Anthony and Catalina Cartell on march 29th in the big apple, New York City. He already had an older sister, Summer. Logan’s middle name was given to him because it was his father’s middle name, a tradition that often swept over many family generations. Logan doesn’t remember his whole first year as a child, but when he was soon to turn two he remembers his mommy showing him his new little sister all curled up in a nice warm blanket. The family was crowded around them in complete adornment. Logan didn’t really know who, or what, she was…until he got older, of course. As a child he was always a mommy’s boy. He never really hung around his older sister because all she did was girly things, things Logan preferred to be away from. His baby sister caused a twinge of jealousy from Logan because she was getting all the attention from his mother and he wasn’t. As he got a bit older, Logan started doing things with his father. His father used to tell him all sorts of interesting stories that interested Logan. A few months later, Madison grew closer and closer toward Logan and Logan accepted that. He finally had someone to play with.
At that time he only wanted to have fun but as the two partners in crime did more things together, Logan became more and more protective over her. He wanted her to feel safe with him, like she could always trust him for anything that she needed. He would always be there for her. They did all sorts of things, different adventures that lasted all day. Madison and Logan were like two friends instead of siblings. One day when Logan was 9, Madison and he were secretly playing outside in the woods with a balloon. He warned her to hang on really tightly so it wouldn’t blow away. Nevertheless, Maddie lost the balloon to a strong gust of wind and it floated toward the sky only to be caught by the thick foliage. They were visiting their grandparents’ house in the country. Being the city folk they were, Logan and Maddie didn’t understand that there was all these different dangers out in the forest. When Maddie lost the balloon she started crying. Logan felt sorry for her and didn’t want to see her cry. He also didn’t want to go back home because it was really fun and different out there under the trees and he was curious so he went and climbed over the fence to get the balloon. Little did he know what lurked there for when he tried to get back over again. Barbed wire hung tightly onto the fence. Logan soon retrieved the balloon from the tree above and then went to the fence again to climb back over it.
The balloon must have hit a tree branch or something because as he was climbing back over the fence it popped right in his face, causing him to jump back and lose his balance, which caused him to crash down onto the barbed wire. Never before had he seen it and it was a great surprise to him that wire could hurt that much. He tried so hard not to cry out in pain as he hit the ground, but it was impossible. He looked up and saw his little sister crying even harder and tried to unravel himself from the deadly clutches of the wire but it only resulted in more crying and pain. Madison tried to untangle it but only cut her hand several times, Logan didn’t want that at all. He screamed for her to get their grandparents and sat there tangled for about three minutes, the longest minutes of his little life. It hurt so much it was almost impossible to believe. Finally his grandfather returned with tools to cut him out with. It felt so good to be free from that wretched stuff. Logan must have fallen asleep because the next thing he remembers is opening his eyes to the beeping of machines and the bright eyes of his sister, mother, father, and grandparents.
He was released two days later because of some tests, only gaining a couple of scars. That was the last time he would ever climb a fence with barbed wire. The punishment was worse than the injuries. Because Logan and Maddie were only a year apart, Maddie went to the same schools as he did for the most part. Logan didn’t really like school much at all, it took too much time. If his little sister was ever picked on by anyone, everyone knew they would have to deal with him. Logan played soccer in elementary school and took karate lessons. His parents forced him into playing the piano, which he HATED, and then he took on guitar by himself because all the rock stars played electric guitar so he wanted to as well. Madison soon acquired a boyfriend named Alec. Logan had not one bit of attitude for liking Alec. At first he thought he really wasn’t that bad and was sort of happy that his sister had someone there for her besides himself.
A few months later he found him kissing another girl. Logan tried his best to lure him away from her and her away from him but that didn’t blow over very well. Maddie was mad with Logan, furious almost. They started drifting apart, which discouraged Logan in more ways than one. He just wanted to go beat the crap out of him but he never really got the chance. Deciding he really didn’t have use staying home and that his grades were garbage, he finished high school and right after he joined the marines with another one of his friends. He hated to leave his sister alone, especially with that idiot lollygagging around her but he had no choice. He wanted to make money and not sit around all day long. The training was tough and it surely wouldn’t be easy for the most part, Logan understood that and was more than ready to start his first day as an official marine. When he did, Logan knew that it was perfect for him. He just pretended like all those people were trying to hurt his family and he had to do something about it. His country became part of his family.
He was deployed to Iraq, the real battlefield. He wasn’t there long however and found himself face to face with the most dangerous and unknown predators of all time; a vampire. He knew he was dead right then and there and wished, hoped to god, that he possibly see his family before he died. He was due home in a few days, he wanted to see them. Death did not come, however. Only pain and burning, like someone lit a furious fire inside of him and it was melting him from the inside out. He awoke unknowingly three days later to find himself in a forest with an incredible thirst. Then he picked up a scent that thrilled him. He ran toward the scent, which turned out to be five mountain climbers…lets just say it didn’t work out for them. Never before had he killed someone like that. Logan was scared, he could never doubt that, and very confused. Everything was so dusty in his mind. He remembered most of his past and his name but…it was so foggy. Logan set foot to find out what happened to him. That was when he was stopped by a woman in the forest, one without that deliciously tempting heat from her heart and the tempting stench of warm blood. Surprisingly to him, Logan took a defensive stance toward her and didn’t turn his back for a moment.
She explained that he was a vampire, which sent Logan into a downfall of pure laughter. He didn’t believe it for one moment…until he saw his eyes and remembered how he drank those five perfectly happy climbers earlier that day. Before Logan knew it, the women was gone. Everything was s sharp and clear, it was scary. He traveled for months in the woods, only coming out for hunting once in a while. Every time he killed someone it killed him inside. Logan grew depressed and carried on, well tried to. He then soon heard that there was a few groups of vampires who drank animal blood, so he gave that a go. It was wonderful to be able to not have to kill any humans. Of course he felt bad for the poor animals that were getting slaughtered by him but it gave him hope. He has been on the diet for only a year and his eyes are almost fully golden brown with only a twinge of red. Maybe now he can finally go back and find at least Madison, maybe he can even take a few smacks at Alec with his new super strength….yes…that would have to be on his new list of things to do, counting he is still around of course. Logan still is apprehensive about this concept though, not wanting to scare his little sister beyond belief but also wants her to know he is still there for her. It may take a while before he reveals that he is in fact a vampire.

facial appearance: Logan has some stubble along his chin which is neatly kept. Other than that his skin is clear and pale as one of a vampire’s. The bright red is now simmering down to an orangy-ish color. clothing: Logan likes to keep it simple and casual. A pair of jeans or black pants with a t-shirt or a button down is perfectly fine with him. He was never the fashionista. roleplay sample: {hopefully from another character as well? =)}Esme picked up yet another one of the Cullen family’s collectible antiques, rubbing it briefly with a cloth in which she used mainly to dust off items around their home. She was finally almost finished. It was march and the scent of spring was dancing with each whimsical gust through the trees that swayed with the melodies of the forest. She smirked and set the vase down onto the mantle. It was late and most of the family was out for a little mid night snack, all but Carlisle and herself. Esme had went earlier that day so that she would be able to clean the house that night while Carlisle was still at work. He was late, which concerned Esme, but she knew that it wasn’t a rare event when he was late to arrive home.
She missed him on nights like these, when the kids weren’t around and there was just time for them. Sighing softly, Esme headed toward the kitchen counter and grabbed the Windex and another towel to clean off the dining room table. The family didn’t use these things that an everyday human did, heavens no, but that didn’t mean that it couldn’t be cleaned. If they ever got company it would be odd to see a dusty table, same with the appliances in the kitchen. Ever since Bella had come in relative with the family, areas like those were used more frequently. As she wiped down the table, Esme noticed that there was a strange and eerie silence over the sounds of the chirping crickets and soft wind outside the door.
She ran quickly to where the CD player was, taking the remote in her hand and pressing the power button to expose a symphony of classic, relaxing notes through the halls. She smiled and placed the Windex back into the cabinet and tossed the rag into the trash bin. Esme much preferred classical music over the other forms that played now. It was much more relaxing and inspiring back when she was a child and young adult. It just lost its lust over the decades. It wasn’t that she listened to it very often anyway. With another final check over, Esme glanced around the large front room of the home. Windows would be done tomorrow or later in the week, just to space out the activities for things to do over the week. It got bored when you were the only one around for the whole day. Sometimes Esme dreamed of opening a shop for antiques, it had been a dream for her ever since she was a little girl.
The only difference was that in this time period some of the antiques were things Esme and the rest of the family had once grown up with. She would have opened one…but she had a strange drawing to always wanting to be available just to be sure if anything happened she would be prepared for it. Esme headed back upstairs to change her now dust-covered clothes to something less dirty. Last thing she wanted to do was mess up their white furniture with dirt. She changed into simple gray sweat pants with a white t-shirt and pulled her hair from the ponytail, allowing it to flow down in waves right below her shoulders and brushed it a few times to loosen out any dirt that may have trapped itself into her hair. After she was done with that Esme headed back down the stairs and into the living room. She curled up onto the couch and closed her eyes, listening to the harmony of the violins and tempo of the drums. The only thing she could do now was to wait for someone to return home and take attention to the vibrant diversity of instruments.
