`` Alice was driving fast. Well of course she was. She always did. It was an extremely bad habit she was thus far unable to kick. Usually it wouldn’t necessarily be that bad, but she had a child in the car with her. And that could certainly end in a disaster if she wasn’t careful. Even so, Alice couldn’t bring herself to slow down. Her reaction time was much beyond that of any human being so a crash was easily avoidable. She threw a quick glance to the back seat. The child… her child was sound asleep for the time being. The poor thing only had seven years on this earth, and already her future was soon to stop. Young Kathryne’s fate was all ready being decided on. Huffing a small sigh, Alice’s melding amber eyes turned back on the road. But Rynnie had wanted to go to the mall, and so here Alice was driving her daughter to the mall. In all actuality, she hadn’t needed to get her arm twisted much by the adorable little girl.

`` Alice loved her daughter. Jasper’s and her decision to adopt was well taken by the rest of the family. Especially Rose. Rosalie loved the little one. Rynnie was spoiled rotten by Rose. A smile flitted across her stone cold lips. She’d never seen Rose happier then when she was taking care of Rynnie. And Rynnie got all the attention from Rose and then some. It was easy for Alice to tell that the child loved the attention as well. She was made for exactly that. A future as an actress was inevitable had she remained human. But Alice had already seen the end. It was sad to think, but Rynnie was her little girl and Alice devoted all of her time to her. Vampire or not, Kathryne was her daughter, and she was as special as they came. The young girl would have gifts by the time she was turned, Alice had seen that much before the adoption. Besides the connection to the little girl, that had been the other reason Alice and Jasper had adopted Rynnie.

`` With such thoughts in her head, Alice pulled skillfully and quickly into the mall’s crowded parking lot. She sped down the aisles of cars, finally finding a spot close to the doors. She flew into the space, almost before the human in the other car was completely backed out of it. Alice flashed a smile at the woman in the car in response to the human’s glare. The human mind was a strange thing. Picking fights for no reason. If only they knew.

`` Having parked her car, Alice had turned it off and was out of the car in two quick fluid movements. She pulled the back driver’s side door open gently and leaned in; car keys still in her hand. She brushed her cool marble fingers against Kathryne’s warm cheek. Smiling slightly, Alice spoke gently and quietly, ”Rynnie, honey, we’re here. It’s time to wake up, little one.” Her voice was as soft and smooth as a wind chime, and she smiled gently as Rynnie’s eyes fluttered open.

"Mommy, I wanna go to the mall! Rothie alwayth thayths it'ths tho much fun! All the clotheths and pretty thingths!"

[/color] Rynni said in her cute little voice. She had a slight lisp, and it only made her even more adorable. She could tell her mother loved to shop, with all the pretty things she wore, and the clothes that herself wore. "Alright, honey."[/color] The beautiful woman smiled. Rynni jumped for joy and sprinted out the door, almost tripping twice. She just had a growth spurt, so she was still having some troubles getting used to her longer body.

A beep came from the lovely yellow Porsche as Rynni's mom used the key button to unlock it. The little human excitedly opened the door and climbed into her booster-seat. When Alice reached in to buckle her in, she pushed her hands away. "No, Mommy, I can do it!" She exclaimed. And she did. A little struggle, but a wide smile crossed her face when she succeeded. The vampire looked happy and climbed into the front seat. She put the key in the ignition, and the car revved to life. Rynni immediately grew tired, so she closed her eyes. About five minutes later, she was asleep. Dreams of Justin Bieber and happy rainbows danced in her head. It only felt like two minutes until a startling cold hand touched her cheek. "Rynni, honey, we're here. It's time to wake up, little one."[/b] Said the owner of the hand. Excited, Rynni opened her eyes and stared at her mother. "Yay!"[/u] she shouted. She unfastened the child restraint, still with difficulty, and hopped out of the car. Smoothing her little dress out, she twirled around. Rynni was finally at the mall. She looked at the jumble of buildings before her. The mall was abnormally big![/blockquote][/blockquote]
