Everything they had ever been accustomed to and every rule they had been raised to follow no longer existed. Anger and displeasure raced over the village and every member of the tribe. The hot blood coursed through Jacob’s veins quicker than usual and created an even more boiling temperature over his skin. With heavy, quick steps he ran along side of the rode, phased into his deepest of thoughts. I am going to KILL that God damned blood sucking son of a bitch! The entire pack heard him and their thoughts only harmonized and agreed with his. Jacob Black was beyond ready to kill Edward Cullen and whatever else filth had joined him in the slaying of his comrade- his brother. His heart beat almost too wildly for even himself to keep up with the counts; the treaty was broken and he was ready to tear any vampire he saw limb from limb. They had been waiting long enough for it all, but now the deed was done. No matter if it was an accident, nor if it was by a purely thought out plan. Jacob Black would have no mercy… unless she became involved.
He ran as quickly as he legs would allow him, only stopping to breathe deep, heavy breaths as he phased back into his human form atop the cliff. The waves were loud tonight as they crashed heavily upon the water’s surface and the shoreline. Teeth clenched tight, his fits were balled by his sides. Jacob Black would do nothing but what he was designed to do: protect. If that meant killing vampires on his ancestor’s land, then he would surely do it.

He sat on a grassy old age rock by the cliffs. He knew what was this meeting was going to be about no doubt. Edward could hear all the wolves talking to each other in their minds as he was arriving here with Brooke. He knew Brooke was kinda edgy about this meeting it took a lot of his sweet tongue to get her to come with him. He finally was successful in that little task. He knew what had happened was an accident. But to the minds he was reading, was far from that thought in their own thoughts.
It was night time before he knew it as he stood up and leaned against a tree. But really, Edward could not say anything about Jacob lately. Not even the mentioning of his name....There was a good chance of seeing her again though. Edward would like that since the day he left her he wanted to keep in touch and all but it was nearly impossible. Then there was some thing he told Jacob...To just keep her away from vampires....Especially himself...
So the odds of her coming to his own death was very slim...He knew his death was coming. But he would do everything he could to protect Brooke from being killed. She was not like him....It was indeed an accident on her part. Maybe just maybe if a fight did happen...Brooke would be able to get some where safe. Edward felt the anger boiling inside Jacob Black right this very moment...And he sighed...."Jacob...." Was all he was able to say the moment he walked up to the hill and saw the wolf starring down at him.....Edward looked up at Jacob with reddish tented eyes.....
.....Again Bella....Damn it...Why did she even come to his mind...? He was so glad Brooke was not a mind reader like he was.....But most likely, Jacob would know who he was indeed thinking about....Then again the thought of her in his mind was not good...She probably knows what he has done and knowing Bella....She was probably just as angry with Edward & Brooke than Jacob was....Wolf hollows could be heard in the distance....They might have been surrounding the area.....
Blocking off any means of escape....Edward stood there thinking of the last time he saw his family....He ordered them all to leave and not worry about him...That he was going to deal with this himself....And hoped they took his word for it...If not, then the rest of the Cullens would be in danger! And it would be because of his stupid mistake!

The stench of his musky, tainted vampiric scent filled his nose, causing his blood to boil even more so than a moment beforehand. As though it had not been enough for Edward Cullen to have taken Bella from him before this, he had to take a comrade as well. The vampire was nothing but a monster and never had been anything human; if the killing of one of the shifters had not been proof enough for Bella, then nothing honestly would. There was no real excuse for it to have happened, and Jacob would not take any mercy on Edward Cullen or any other vampire from the moment he had heard about the slaying on. Bella needed to know and fully process what had happened, and she needed to hear it from Edward. Jacob had asked his father to call up Charlie and send the message to Bella to meet him on the cliffs; she would know exactly where he was speaking of and now he was waiting. But as he waited, now with Edward Cullen near him. Exuding all of the pressure of his body on one of his feet, he turned with a heavy, angry facade and fire burning with his eyes and heart; the fire grew as he set eyes on the vampire.
"I hope you realize what you've done," Jacob spoke, with a rather unfamiliar threatening tone plaguing his voice. The world turned red for him, where all he could see is the world around him with blurred vision as it soaked in the blood of his brother. He thought about nothing as best he could due to Edward's ability to read his mind; he let the hate flow through him and let his thoughts breathe and bathe in it all. Perhaps if Edward Cullen had not perceived the message correctly, he would as he attempted to sneak into Jacob's head. There was no possible way the vampire would not understand and if he did not, then he quite honestly deserved to die- not that he already did not in Jacob Black's eyes.
There was nothing gentle about the shifter at the moment, and even if Bella soon joined him, he would not be able to see past the blood shed. The echoes of his fellow wolves howling into the wind, alerting him of the cleared woods only made it easier for him. His lungs filled with a deep breathe of air as his chest rose quickly only to fall again and repeat the process as his attempt to maintain his anger from creating an outburst just yet. "I hope you fully fathom everything that you have caused and everything that will be coming to you and your kind because of what you have done." His brown eyes sat heavily on the pale being in front of him. A few small sounds around them, behind the wooded scene, alert Jacob of the other wolves' presences- surrounding them in case of any violent outburst whether it was on Edward's part or Jacob's. His fist clenched again at his sides as another urge to rip Edward to shreds gnawed at him. "There is no going back now," He growled. "And I hope you are ready for it all."

"I hope you realize what you've done," "I hope you fully fathom everything that you have caused and everything that will be coming to you and your kind because of what you have done.""There is no going back now," "And I hope you are ready for it all."
All Edward could see was anger in the man's eyes that was staring right in to his own. Even though Jacob had anger....Edward had sadness. He was ashamed of what he had done to one of Jacob's friends. Maybe trying to argue on his behalf would not solve any thing...But Edward had to try...."He attacked first with out warning....It was an accident..." Like that would even help the situation. But Edward was in his rights to defend himself. He was after all out numbered. He could hear the wolves in the distance. And he could feel their anger. If they wanted to, they could paint the sky blood red with the blood of a fallen friend. But, Edward knew what Jacob was seeing in his mind and that was just what he was seeing....
The look in Jacob's eyes said it all. Nothing would please Jacob more than to rip Edward apart. But that was not going to happen. If Jacob remembered the little 'pep' talk he told Jacob about a few months ago, then maybe Jacob would reconsider and not try and kill..."She won't believe it Jacob...." He tried to tell him that with what happened recently between him and Bella...Was enough for Edward to know that there was still some thing between them...Even if it was just a fraction of some thing....It was there. And she would not like the idea that Edward was going to die for no reason what so ever....Unless, she knew already what had happened. And knowing Jacob, he has told Bella everyything. Everything....
All the things in the world matters not. But his life mattered to some. And he was not ready for it to be taken away by a wolf that had hatred printed on his fore head. He could hear the wolves scratching and aching in the distance wanting to attack, But Edward knew Jacob would not order an attack unless it was needed....And Edward did not need to give him a reason to....."But, I am here only because it was my fault, No one else to blame for this but me. So go on...kill me....But keep in mind your wolf pack is not the only ones out here....right now. " Edward was ready to die. There was just nothing else to live for at this point. And yes Brooke crossed his mind. The thought of her was more pain in his eyes. But she did deserve some one better than him.....

"There is no God damn excuse for what you did!" His anger was still being held rather deep with in himself, but Jacob could not help but speak so harshly to him. When he spoke of Bella indirectly, the monster with in him only riled more. It was taking so much of his energy to stand still, with only his hot fists clenched. "You only say that she won't believe you because you can't come to terms with what she might do- with her knowing that you really are a monster like the stories say. You can't handle that she will know you are nothing but a liar... A shell of a human being who cannot hold his word." His words were sharp and yet so true; Bella would come to know that Edward had lied to her and that he truly was the same as the images of the ravenous from the stories and books.
Shaking his head from side to side at him, a look of disgust crawled upon his facade. Edward was only attempting to weave yet another web of lies in Jacob's head and Jacob Black refused to allow him to do so. "If any fighting is going to happen, it will between you.. and me." His words were certain and stern as he looked the vampire over once again. "And if you think one other vampire out in the woods is going to scare me and the rest of the pack away, oh do you have another thing coming to you. You broke the treaty... and aside from my specific hatred for you, you now have an entire band of shifters against you. And I don't give a shit if he attacked first; obviously there was probable cause. It still does NOT constitute you killing him!" His anger was stirring with in him with an even greater surge and pull now.
"You still don't understand what you've done..."

"There is no God damn excuse for what you did!" "You only say that she won't believe you because you can't come to terms with what she might do- with her knowing that you really are a monster like the stories say. You can't handle that she will know you are nothing but a liar... A shell of a human being who cannot hold his word."
That was indeed harsh. If his heart was beating normally in his chest, Edward would feel the piercing of a sharp silver dagger through it. Edward glanced down to the forest floor. He had to admit in his mind, Jacob was completely right...If he didn't have Brooke right now, there would be nothing keeping him on this earth.
"You're right...." "If any fighting is going to happen, it will between you.. and me." "And if you think one other vampire out in the woods is going to scare me and the rest of the pack away, oh do you have another thing coming to you. You broke the treaty... and aside from my specific hatred for you, you now have an entire band of shifters against you. And I don't give a shit if he attacked first; obviously there was probable cause. It still does NOT constitute you killing him!"
A flash of that killing a human to protect Brooke in Port Angele's flashed in his mind. Had that been the reason? Did the wolves see him and Brooke while that was taking place? That was the bad thing about Port Angele's, the smells and surrounding blended together....It was impossible to tell a good smell from another in that crazy city.....Still Edward was not about to tell his greatest enemy of this century that...
"You still don't understand what you've done..."
Even though he was a few feet away from Jacob his mood was not hard to figure out. Jacob was beyond pissed at Edward. Edward could not blame him though. He knew what a vampire was. The thing with Jacob was that he smart...Edward could barely manipulate him even if he wanted to! "She was warned about me from the moment we met...Yet, she cared less. You're right Jacob...I am what literature says....No one can deny what the true definition of some one like me is said in books , movies, even music...I'm the killer here...." Edward said with total confession....

"She is different now!" The loud growl parted his lips so easily and quickly, with out any real thought or prevention technique to be implemented for his burst of anger. Bella was still Bella, yes, but she was a different girl; she was the real Bella who Jacob loved. She was the Bella who understood everything and had begun to see things as they really were. There were no more sugar-coated words to be sung to her in her sleep from his cold, dry lips. There were no lies to be woven into a blanket and tied around her eyes. Bella was beginning to see everything clearly now, or at least Jacob was beginning to believe she had. As he continued to think of her, his thoughts quickly fell into negativity; what if something had happened to her as she was making her way to the cliffs? Quickly, he heard Sam's voice with in his head, alerting him that she had been spotted and was safe. His chest rose and fell quicker now than before as he drew in short breathes. "She has seen what you are! She didn't care before but she does now! You do nothing but hurt and [/i]kill[/]! You're a damn monster!" The volume of his voice grew louder and louder with every word.
The sinister urge to phase into his true form pulled at him now, attempting to follow the trail his aggression had laid; he would not fight- or at least that was what he attempted to tell himself, but how could he not? What was stopping him? No longer did a treaty exist between the Cullen clan and the Quileute shifters, so what barrier was stopping him? Whose hands were on his shoulders, pulling him back from ripping the vampire limb from limb? But before Jacob Black could take the time to figure it all out, his angry eyes latched back onto the image of the pale face before him. His anger surged, pushed, and pulled at his every muscle and fiber. The jaw of the beast tightened and where his fists no longer existed, his paws dug heavily into the ground as he prepared for the worst. A menacing howl fled from his throat with great volume as he snarled and growled at the vampire.

"She is different now!" "She has seen what you are! She didn't care before but she does now! You do nothing but hurt and kill! You're a damn monster!" "I can understand it taking her this long to finally realize it....But to hear you say it from your mouth...is rare...." All this time two fingers tapped the side of his own leg as he was cutting his red eyes directly into Jacob's....Being called a monster was enough for Edward to get fired up with anger as well. "At least I remain in one form unlike another monster I know...." He said tauntingly....There was nothing left to say at this point. As he backed away knowing what was going to happen before it happened, he heard Sam as well. Bella....Jacob was stupid enough to bring her here?! What ever the hell for?! At this point, Edward did not care....He didn't care about her or any other human for that matter at this very moment....He was not who he was suppose to be. That monster he did hide so well, was making his way to the surface.
He gave Jacob this much, he knew when to push Edward's button to the point of not return. And this was one of his weakness. Too bad Jacob that Bella would forever be one of them...As soon as he saw Jacob transform into a huge wolf, Edward knew it was nothing more to say. There was nothing to stop him from attacking Jacob. But like Jacob at this point there was some one stopping Edward from wanting to fight.....Isabella......She loved Jacob and what would make it worse for her is if Edward had killed Jacob today. So that is why he backed away and started to raise his hand up...But that stopped him....He could not put Bella through that.....He's hurt her way too many times to make that happen. Unless Jacob did some thing that really pissed him off....Then Edward would do what ever he could to protect his own life.....
"I...can't hurt you Jacob!!" He said in his mind knowing that Jacob now being in wolf form would hear loud and clear and would know why he has said this....Edward was trying all he could to not make it a blood bath where they were....But...after killing that wolf in Port Angele's it was so hard for him to resist! Yes, Edward has learned to love that taste....It was to the point he could not resist....That was why he couldn't hurt Jacob not now....

Something was wrong…she could feel it. The awkwardness in Charlie’s voice when he relayed Jacob’s message to her only confirmed it. In the pit of her stomach, she knew something wasn’t right. It was an uneasy feeling; one she easily learned to hate within seconds of experiencing it. It was that same clenching that she felt when she and Alice had sped to Volterra to save Edward. “Edward…” A soft whisper touched the calm air, as her eyes peered out her bedroom window. Soft hues of red, orange, and yellow could be seen stretching across the sky as the sun began to set. It was nearing her time to go, and with each passing second, she could feel her heart beginning to pound harder in her chest. She didn’t know what was about to happen, but something told her she wouldn’t like it.
Inhaling lightly, she looked towards the clock to see it was nearing five thirty. Jake had asked her to meet him at the cliff around seven. Between her ancient truck and clumsiness in climbing, she would probably need the entire hour and a half to get there. A soft sigh escaped the one Bella Swan as she grabbed her jacket that was draped over her desk chair and put it on. Near immediately burying her hands in her pocket, she made her way towards her truck…telling Charlie a quick goodnight before heading out. She figured he would probably be asleep by the time she got back. Since she’d been hanging out with Jake, he hadn’t been too worried about curfew.
It didn’t take her long to get to the cliff’s bottom and park; maybe twenty minutes. But, looking up at the cliff…she knew it would take her a while to get to where he had asked to meet. Getting out of the truck, she began her walk towards the top…her mind racing with ideas of what was about to happen. Somehow she knew it had something to do with Edward. Had he done something? Was he about to do something? A frustrated sigh left her slightly parted lips as she began her climb. Out of all the places she was most prone to danger; the cliffs were probably the worst. She was thankful it wasn’t too much further; the tread on her shoes wasn’t exactly the best for rock climbing.
Finally reaching the top, she began towards the open area of the cliffs, but she stopped near immediately as she heard two very familiar voices yelling at each other…one burning with anger, the other with what sounded like guilt and sadness. Her heart near stopped as she heard the venomous words that threatened Edward. ”It still does NOT constitute you killing him.” Horror and panic pulsed through her veins, making her skin cold as ice. Edward had killed? She was immobilized by fear…her mind no longer able to make conscious decisions. It was as if her world had just frozen and she couldn’t escape. No thoughts passed through her mind…no emotions passed over her face…nothing. The man she had once loved had turned into the monster she most feared. All at once, a flashback to their love flooded Bella’s mind. His embrace…his adoring eyes…his intoxicating scent…his words of sweet nothings tingling at the skin of her neck. “Edward…” She breathed for the second time tonight. Her heart was being torn into shreds all over again. She had foreseen their departure…but had been beyond her comprehension.
Her body shook lightly and she closed her eyes, trying to bring herself back to reality. But all reality brought was tears and as she reopened her eyes and looked towards the entrance of the clearing…she felt their salty sting. She had no strength, no will to fight them as they rolled down her cheeks. At this point, she didn’t care who saw…Edward had not seen her cry for him. With both his leavings, she had with-held tears until he was gone, but this time he would see it.
Pressing forward, her facial expression still held nothing. No fear, no love, no strength. If it was possible, her skin was paler than normal. Her body was shaking, her muscles completely tensed. Bella was all at once, shutting down. Her mind was numb and her movements seemed almost mechanical. Her frame finally came into view as she heard Edward’s retaliation for Jacob’s shifting. But she remained at the edge…completely still as if she herself was the walking dead.

Snarling and growling, with his mouth salivating, Jacob's rage grew and pushed him with more force each moment he kept standing in waiting, in stance to launch at him and rip the cold, dead head from its dried, freezing body. Beneath his fur and boiling hot skin, his muscle twitched and nervously waited as the shifter attempted to rationalize the situation. The sky above them began to fade from its earlier royal light blue to a muted, grayed-out blanket; heavy gray clouds waltzed in front of the fading sky. Thunder cracked in the distant, over the ocean behind them. A familiar scent crept into his nose as he took in a breathe, before he nearly pushed himself to leap for Edward's figure. The familiar smell of her almost brought the human back to reality, but the rage was too blinding, too strong for him to ignore it fully.
So terribly did he wish to phase back into the real world and run to her side; so horribly did he wish to comfort her. He had intended her to find out about Edward's stunt, but he had not meant for her to find out like this. He had wanted to calmly tell her, before he was forced into his animalistic form. Suddenly his heart ached for her- with her. He wanted to be the hero and rush to her side, but he could see through the images of ripping Edward apart. At the current moment, Jacob was no longer purely gentle and loving.
After another long pause between thoughts and actions, he finally shook his large wolven head from side to side as he pushed some of his thoughts back to the bottom of his mind. Pivoting forward, Jacob finally began to move but only moved toward Bella. If Edward had happened to take this as the start of an attack, then so be it- the shifter would be ready to retaliate. Mid-stride, just before reaching the wood's edge, Jacob managed to calm himself enough to quickly return to his human form as he ran toward Bella, pulling her to his chest as quickly as he arrived at her still, tensed body. "Bella, honey," He breathed as he held her closely. "I'm so sorry! I wanted you to hear it, but not like this!" She felt nearly cold and her face's weak color had faded even more. Her breathes were few and he could not find a steady gaze with in her eyes as he pulled away and searched them. "Bella, please... Snap out of it!" This was not the time for her to shut down, though he understood she had been through enough; this had inevitably been the last straw with her and Edward. Jake felt instant guilt for summoning her here, but mostly for her arriving at the time she had. With in his mind, he had seen it all differently. He had seen Edward only arriving after Bella had arrived, only to confess to his crime himself in front of her.
With both hands, Jacob reached up and carefully wiped away the tears rolling down each of her cheeks. His heart crack further as he noticed the tears constantly flowing in the same stream downward, where they would fall off of her chin and soak into her shirt. He had been half of the reason she was crying and it did not sit well with him, but then he realized it had been Edward who had done this to his Bella. Jacob pulled Bella close to him again and placed a kiss on her forehead before whispering to her. "He is going to pay the price for killing one of my own," Pulling away from her, his muscles tightened; he grabbed for one of her hands. He hoped, from the deepest caverns of his heart, that she would snap out of it- that his words and his actions against Edward Cullen would bring her to realize he would do anything for her. Above all, he wanted Bella Swan to see that she was better off with out the monster standing before them. "And for breaking your heart."
With one of her hands securely in his, Jacob turned around to face Edward Cullen again. This time a new hatred had found a home with in Jacob’s body, of which would sit and stir for an eternity. Even if Edward Cullen had somehow met his true fate, his true destiny, Jacob Black would continue to embrace the loathsome hatred he housed for the vampire. With another loud growl from his human mouth, he called to him. “See what you do?" Nearly beckoning for the pale one to rush at him with those blood red eyes of the cold killer he was, Jacob stood slightly in front of Bella. He would not allow her to be hurt; he would die before Edward Cullen could get his hands on Bella Swan again. "You are better off dead!”

Brooke had stood silent behind Edward throughout this entire discussion. She was shaky; she didn't want to be there. Being here would mean her death, or it meant she would have to watch Edward’s death. Death being a great fear of hers was what had her entire body resisting her mental urge to run. Edward would know she wanted to run too; it took a while to convince her to even get in the car, much less stay by him throughout this entire thing. Yet there she was, she had to be by the man she loved, even for something like this.
Monster
It seemed to be a term used a lot during her time spent with Edward. It was also a term Brooke refused to say she was. She didn’t believe vampires were monsters. Anyone could be a monster; it just depended on what you did with your life that made you a monster. She wasn’t a monster; she didn’t kill or even drink blood from humans. Edward wasn’t a monster in her eyes either. Overprotective yes, but not a monster. He killed a human that had wanted her dead and he killed a shifter that attacked him first.
Monster
Every time it was said she flinched slightly, it was a vile word used in hatred both by the mutt and by Edward. Hurtful words that should have meant nothing but they were said in such a way that they stung to here. Such a simplistic word to describe a vampire, of course it was a word that only a human mind could have decided upon. In theory, however, the mutt was also a monster. A human that suddenly became a wolf when he was angered, a human would certainly call them monsters as well.
A human scent reached her, a scent she had smelled often while in the Cullen home. She knew it could only be Bella, the only human that Brooke would ever shut down around. Edward loved the human girl, more than he loved Brooke. Bella was always on his mind, and the vampire had come to accept it but when Bella was brought up she would instantly shut up and walk away. Now the human was here, a dreadful thought to Brooke. The girl entered sight and the brunette vampire saw her tears, fear was evident. She had heard the conversation that had happened, an easy explanation to it. She watched Jacob go forward in his wolf form, turning human just as he reached her. He hugged her tight, trying to sooth her. With this happening Brooke grabbed Edward’s hand, hoping he wouldn’t do anything while Jacob calmed the human down.
“Edward.” Brooke muttered, she was worried she might lose him today and she hated that feeling. “I’m sorry…” she let out slowly, she still felt it was all her fault and no amount of his comforting would ever change that small fact.

As Edward was about to make his decision and attack Jacob, he stopped everything. He sensed Bella near and when she came through the thicket and entered the clearing where he and Jacob were, Edward could only turn to face her. She had undoubtedly heard some of the talk that was going on between Edward and Jacob. As he looks over at her, he saw some thing he never saw her do before. Cry....She's never ever cried for him before. But as his mouth was creaked open from the shock on his face that she was even here...He could not even think about any thing else. It's been a long time since he saw her....And seeing her this moment made him stand still. As he looked at her and saw the way Jacob looked at her. As Edward saw that she was tensed by the very glance at him with her eyes, Edward remained still in his place. And let Jake go over and show her affection.
If his heart was there where it was suppose to be it would be breaking at this very moment. He heard what Jake was tella Bella as he just stood there in all quietness. She knew what was going on no doubt she had heard them talking while she climbed up here....And now that the truth was out, would she be as Jake insisted she would be like and no longer trust him? From the looks of things, yeah. Edward had admitted once that he has hurt her more than once why did Jake have to say what he had said? Edward simply looked down at when Jake had pulled Bella close to comfort her and that little kiss on her and hug was enough to tighten his own muscles....As he watch with burning red eyes....Edward wanted so badly as to attack...But he knew Bella would not allow them either to....Unless there was a reason...And sure enough there was....The murder that Edward had confessed to was enough.
There was no more love left in what was suppose to be his heart for Bella the moment he saw her embrace Jacob Black like she had. He was hoping that she would by a small chance believe him and be by his side but that was not going to happen tonight. Not ever again it seemed to Edward's conclusion, Bella has seen the real monster inside him....Thanks to Jacob. She has hung around Jacob so much, Edward should've known that Jake would brain wash her mind in to believing that he was a monster. And now here was the proof of that....The sound of the wolves near by, scared Edward half to death however no doubt. For he knew that no of his kind even knew he was here. Except Brooke. But she was no match even if she and Edward tried to fight back. There would be no escape for them....Edward was just scared that Brooke would wind up killed and he would not even know it.....
That would indeed give Edward a reason to fight if some thing happened to his fiance. Did they even know that he and Brooke were engaged? Possibly not. But right now, Edward cared less as he looked at the way, Jake held on to Isabella Swan the way he did by wiping the girls tears away made him sick....He was that much of a pain to her after all...He did warn her...."I warned you...Appearances can be deceiving....Emotions are a lie with me....Loving you was wrong from the start" Right now this was all he had left. To make Bella see the light for once. She was so clouded by the beauty of his very existence that she forgot about the killer that resides inside him....And this was his opportunity to make her know that for good...
As he stood there with a sad expression looking into the girls eyes he was sorry for all the pain and conflict he put upon her. But would she even forgive him now? Possibly not...Edward could take a lot of things but one thing he will not take was the fact that the girl in front of him was letting him go with her emotions. And saying the words to him. He tried his best to love her and this is where it has gotten him....She was in the arms of another man the very man that was his enemy. There was so much he wanted to say to her. But she would most likely walk away from him before he would get the chance....
What hurt him the most was being so close to her and not being able to even kiss her goodbye......Right now she was killing him with her emotions. Her tears were a real number on him. He wanted to cry so much it hurt. He would never know now what could've been....It was indeed over between them the moment he saw her break down.....He would've done completely different. He didn't care if Jake did not mean to hurt her like he had by letting her find out this way....He didn't give a damn about Jacob Black...Edward and Bella were always meant to say good bye.....The wolves were closing in as his world was crumbling all around him.....
"Edward....I'm sorry...." At that moment, he felt his fiance's grip on his hand. The very one that was twitching. "No...I am..."...Her touch calmed his voice as well....She had stopped him from doing some thing he knew he would regret. Her words were nothing but sounds of guilt and sadness. Just as his were at first. But she did not have any reason to be here. He practically begged her to be here for him since she would most likely be the only one on his side. And she was from this moment on.
Brooke was all he had left. At that moment he was able to really let Bella go .But those words that Brooke said, it was not her fault. She still blamed herself obviously. Edward was the one to blame....If he had simply ignored Brooke when she said to, then he would not have gone to that hotel. He would not have killed that human and they both would not have went to that part of Port Angele's....But what was done was done....Edward's made enough mistakes in his life that he felt like he had a Right to die right now. But when his beloved grabbed his hand as she did...He had second thoughts. His tense muscles relaxed ever so slightly....And his burning red eyes turned back to golden brown. He was not angry or thirst for Jake's or even Bella's blood any more....His angel was here....

An autumn wind rustled the dying leaves, making some of golden and maroon hues fall to the cliff’s clearing. Off in the distance, waves crashed at a much more violent rate then they previously had. All around her, Bella saw nothing but decay and death…deception and hatred. It boiled within the blood of all of them, and the feel of its pull kept Bella right where she was. Was this all some sort of sick, twisted dream? Could this possibly be real? Just two years ago, her biggest concern was protecting herself from the flaws of her clumsiness. Now she was being thrown into a vast world of death and anger…a place Bella Swan did not belong.
Every muscle in her body begged to be released. The tension was beyond painful and she felt her energy steadily being drained. But there was nothing she could do. All thoughts that existed in her mind weren’t being processed. Her focus was solely on nothing.
Warmth teased at her skin, but her body refused it…not believing in its comfort. Echoes of Jake’s words tried to force their way into her mind, trying to bring her back to reality. Breaching all barriers of conscious, her eyes finally focused on Jake. The warmth had been his embrace. “Jake…” She breathed…finally moving herself to snap out of it. Her arms found their way around his frame, keeping him close as she tried her hardest to stop the free falling tears. It was in his arms, at this moment, where she realized just where she belonged. His loving kiss to her forehead only verified it.
As he gently pulled away and wiped her tears, she could do nothing but look up at him. Silence filled the air between them, but she could feel their pull towards each other. It was natural and it felt right. His hand fit perfectly in hers, holding on in comfort as Edward began to speak. His words were meaningless to her now. She no longer cared for the being that stood in front of her. He had been her life…her everything. But he had let it go…and now she was finally able to see him for what he truly was: a killer.
“You don’t know what love is.” The words were heartless, and ice cold. He had betrayed her…betrayed the trust they had for the third and final time. Leaving, lies, and murder. They were all things Bella detested, and as she looked at the cold-blooded being before her, she couldn’t help but feel sick at having ever loved him. He was a monster…and she had only realized it now. But something pulled at her heart that she couldn’t ignore. It was pity and guilt. Maybe it was she who didn’t know what love was. If she had, wouldn’t she have been able to prevent all of this? The death of Jacob’s brother was lying on her conscious all because she hadn’t said yes to Edward’s proposal. All because she had needed more time. And now more lives were likely to be taken tonight. The treaty had been broken. Their rivalry was fair game.
Her body trembled as her mind crossed over these thoughts and she felt herself falling from reality once more. Jacob’s hand was all that kept her from crossing that line. Next to Edward, she saw Brooke…the vampire who had swooned her way into Edward’s life…forever breaking them apart. But, even under the circumstances, she couldn’t help but feel sorry for the woman. The reality of vampires finally breached, and she was awestruck with horror.

The noises from around them popped, crackled, echoed in his mind as though it was nothing but a violent storm. Every word stuck at him, as though it was lightening disturbing the peaceful earth; every sound they made boomed as though it was thunder disturbing the serene clouds. He shook his head, in attempt to calm the noisy mess with in his body, but it was useless. Jacob’s usually kind eyes still sat heavily and burning upon Edward’s image. Jacob would not stop Bella from seeing, hearing, or saying anything; he felt it was right with in his heart to allow her to bear witness to it all, to interact with in it all. Maybe then… it would help her understand who was truly good for her and who was truly meant for her. But he would not allow her near him. No, it would be too dangerous for her to go anywhere near the monster before them. Bella could no longer identify with Edward Cullen; the way his eyes were wrapped in hatred said that much.
As another vampire entered into the scene, Jacob went back into his major defensive stance. “And who is this?” Cockiness filled his voice once more and a grinned possessed him; it was as though a fearless being had taken over Jacob Black but he could not quite complain. “Please tell me you aren’t going to charge at me with that little monster at your heels, are you?” He laughed; he could no longer help what he was saying. Jacob would not and could regret anything he slurred to the vampire across from him. The vow to kill him was made and the shifter was not about to let Edward walk away with out at least biting at his skin once. He would continue to provoke him, but all while keeping Bella safe behind him. His life was bound to hers and Jacob Black was not going to risk Bella’s life ever. “You pathetic dead creature! You deserve to die, and so does that little succubus by your side! You are nothing but a mistake yourselves! So don’t tell Bella anything about her was a mistake… Your words are nothing but a lie, just like your existence.”
Shaking his head, he could feel his usual Jacob self re-filling the holes that the fearless, nearly dark Jacob had dug with in his soul. His expression softened as he turned back to look at Bella. “Bella, honey, we need to go…” He could sense the rest of the pack closing in on the area, but they would do nothing- no matter how strong the urge was to spring at them and gnaw and hack until there was nothing left, only to light the remains of the vampires on fire. The image burned in his mind, happily almost, but Jacob did not allow his facial expressions to communicate it to Bella. But as his back was turned to Edward, he could not help but anticipate an attack. He waited….

Brooke remained silent as everyone spoke, she wasn’t here to fight. She wouldn’t fight with the mutt, she couldn’t stop Edward from fighting if she had lost her tempter, could she. “Succubus… I prefer the term vixen...” she said in a whisper, it was her way of letting roll of, if she didn’t she would probably rip Jacob apart. She squeezed Edward’s hand lightly, an encouragement not to lose himself in a fit of anger. Brooke’s eyes never left the shifter and human couple. “We won’t be attacking anyone… We didn’t come here for that…” She told the mutt in a calm manner.
As she stood there she wished she had a power that was more useful than lust… Her power of attraction, though useful at times, was also highly ruled by her emotions. Not so much by how she felt at the moment but how she felt as she used it. It was ruled by the feeling of guilt. As long as she was unattached to another she felt no guilt, however her engagement and undying love for Edward meant guilt, and a lot of it. Meaning Brooke would not be of much use if this came to a fight unless she got angry, anger fueled her fighting She prayed there would be no fight as her grip on Edward’s hand tightened again.
