Ryan was a generally calm and polite person. But coincidentally since he got sick, he noticed that he was a little bit more hostile than usual. His father also around that time started to act odd. Was it some disease he had? He wasn't sure... well, he hoped that wasn't the case. His own father would tell him about something so significant as that, right? That odd correlation of his hostility and his father's odd behavior had to have some meaning, he knew it. How he'd find out, he wasn't sure. Well, he didn't know yet, but it'd all make sense in mere hours.
Ryan went outside for a walk, and went to the reservation's Circle K; he liked getting a soda there, since their fountain drinks were only 79 cents for like, 44 ounces. Crazy cheap, right? Well, coming in about the same time were three dudes, about the same height, but they gave off bad vibes from the start for Ryan. Of course, he just turned around to put Mountain Dew into his cup. The men were snickering, and the one in the middle came up to Ryan and addressed him. "Hey kid, you should get all three of us a drink." Ryan turned around, his hostile side kicking in, quickly bursting out with, "No; piss off, asshole."
Ryan turned, and then time stopped. His eyes widened, and could not believe what he just said. He turned around to apologize, but the man grabbed him by the collaring, and said dryly, "Excuse me? You're going to regret that..." After he spoke, the man raised his fist. Ryan was left with only one choice, fight back. With his right arm, he swung at the man right in the stomach, the shock freeing the boy. After he was free, he unleashed pure hell on the man. Shoving him to the ground, fist by fist, the man's face turned from the typical white skin to a mixture of bruise purple and blood red, and the floor had splatters of the latter color.
When the man at the counter realized what was going on, he was screaming out for Ryan to stop and started to worriedly call the police. The boy, filled with rage, realized the man was unconscious, and his friends were long gone. His breath was rough as he darted out of the store, his drink splattered all over the floor. In a few mere minutes, he was in the woods, his anger blinding his navigation. The anger built up, just walking with no direction, his body was shaking, then it happened.
Before Ryan could even blink, his whole body changed. It wasn't like anything he anticipated, didn't think was possible. His whole body went from his regular human body to... a beast. A massive wolf either ate him whole, or he was the wolf, and it seemed like the second option was the more logical option, if logic was even possible. What was going through Ryan's mind? Fear. Confusion. More Fear.
It seemed like years that Ryan was in his wolf forming, howling in place of however he planned on reacting if he could speak. Whenever he shifted back, he was even more confused. His confusion from the events that just happened made him forget about the fact his clothes were ripped up and well, they were on the ground. He just crouched down onto the ground and laid there, his breathing went from its initial rough and violent to shaky, quiet, and scared. Pray to God nobody saw what happened.

`` The smooth rumbling of her paws flying over the earth was music in heaven to Keisha as she ran through the forest. She needed to get out of the house for a bit. It was much too dramatic in there for her to stand anymore. So much was happening. Her fight with Kylie. Bobby acting as distant as ever. Pete’s new found depression. The entire house had taken on a new-found persona. Keisha hated it. It was drowning her. Any longer in that house and she’d definitely be rattling the bars of her cage. Well that honestly excluded the fact that she was already. But the soft cadence of her tread was enough to pull her back into reality.
`` That was all she really needed right now. Something normal. An escape. She needed to run. It could keep her sane for months when she was about to break. Sure it wouldn’t help her really escape the problem, but it helped her forget. It took her back to her roots. She was more a wolf at heart than anything else. Keisha’s root was that of the most powerful creatures on the planet. She was born of royal blood in her mind. It was exhilarating. During her travels she had learned many old stories about wolves. One culture said they were royalty. Another said that shifters like herself were legitimately derived from wolves that had been killed on the full moon and turned human. She knew that stories like that weren’t true, but all the same she had collected them. The journal was still hidden in her top drawer. Keisha used to know those stories like the back of her hand, and she told them every night to help Pete fall asleep. Bobby even loved hearing her renditions of the stories. They were family, and those tales were all they had left of their history… it was a connection to the root of the mystery behind the wolf gene the shifters held.
`` Keisha pushed herself on faster and faster. The muscles in her legs burned, a satisfactory flame licking at the tender flesh. It felt great. For whatever reason, the inner workings of her wolf body fascinated her. She made a mental note to herself to go to the library first chance she got to do more research. Finally, she slowed to a lazy walk, taking the time to take in her surroundings. She had traveled farther then she had intended to, and was well past the boarder. Thankfully though she was close to home still. The decaying wreck of her house was at least in an opportune spot. Everything was easily reachable with fast legs and motivation.
`` Wandering through the woods, she heard the sharp snaps of twigs moving through the forest near her. She stood shock still ready for anything. The wind shifted and the familiar scent of another shifter reached her keen nose. Flattening her ears to her head she dashed toward the sound. The sudden howl broke out in front of her and she pushed her strides longer. Keisha slid to a stop behind a bush, watching the wolf transform back into a human boy. By the way he was shuddering, it was his first transformation. Keisha kept low and slunk forward from behind the bush, just close enough to make sure he wasn’t injured in anyway. Her next immediate thought was to get him clothes. She didn’t have any issues with it (after 200 years you got used to it) but the poor guy was probably really tripping. Turning quickly she dashed back toward her house. She pushed herself as fast as she could, flying so fast through the forest that her surroundings were a blur of light and dark and forest green.
`` She reached the edge of her property in record time and quickly slipped into the small covered box attached to her garage. Keisha grabbed a bundle of her clothes as well as one of the boys’ extra bundles. With both bundles clamped securely in her jaws, Keisha flew back through the forest to the other shifter. Growing nearer to the spot where he laid, she slowed herself to a quick jog. She dropped both bundles of clothes, a few feet away before picking up the bundle she had brought for the guy. Keisha moved toward him cautiously making sure he saw her clearly so he would get any more frightened then he was already. She dropped the bundle near him, before nudging it closer with the tip of her nose.
`` She turned quickly and pranced back to her bundle. Keisha grabbed it and pulled it closer to her as she sat, biting the string straight thought. She didn’t even look over her shoulder as she changed back into her human self. She shimmied skillfully into the clothes in the bundle. The shorts and bikini top weren’t much, but it was something. She left the extra stuff on the ground as she tied the strap behind her back. She reached down grabbing her jewelry and belt of the ground to put it on. “So, you alright?” Keisha asked casually, as she finished up putting on her accessories. “My name’s Keisha, by the way.” she added and threw the guy a quick smile over her shoulder.
