Emmett was alone and bored. Not a good combination. His goddess was away with Alice and Bella on what they like to call "a girl's day out". It was cloudy out so there was no surprise there. Emmett was all too familiar with their cackling voices and he said she said conversations, he was glad he was not a female. But he could not deny the fact that he did not like being away from Rosalie for too long. It made him nervous when he couldn't reach out and touch her soft golden hair. Plus it had been day's since he's been able to 'rock the house' with his Rosie, making him tense up even more. Their house breaking and love making gave Emmett the chance to let out his frustrations, and he loved being close to Rosalie. Edward would make fun of their destruction, but Esme doesn't find it funny at all. His knee bounced up and down as he sat back on the living room sofa. His arms laid out on the back of the couch as was his head. He grew agitated, he could never sleep, condemed to be awake for the rest of his eternal life. The house was empty and Emmett was the only one left in the house. He had no idea where Edward or Jasper are and he figured Esme and Carlisle were out shopping for a new house or antique. As Emmett closed his eyes he let out a short shout, letting all of his frustration be known. Where the hell is everybody. he thought to himself.

Edward was a lone driving back to the house in his Volvo. He just wanted to be a lone for a while. He had a lot to think about. His first and for most concern was Bella hanging out with Jacob so much. It pained him to even think that she was with him. He offered his hand in marriage to her and she had yet to say yes. What was keeping her from saying yes? Like he had his condition she had hers. She wanted him to change her. But he couldn't do that. Not her. She has a family....It was different when he was turned. He only had his mother. No one else. Bella was different. She has both parents and one of the happens to be chief of police of Forks. Edward tried to be nice around the man. But he knew Charlie didn't trust him...Yet, he trusted Jacob? That was balanced. If Charlie knew the truth then that would give the man second thoughts.
Finally, Edward pulled up to the Cullen's drive way. And turned the car off. He knew today that Bella was with Alice and Rosalie out shopping. Shopping? That was a shocker. Edward always thought Bella was not that type. But, if she wanted to hang out with his sisters, then she would loose that war....It would be shopping for Alice and Rosalie. Edward walked into the foyer part of the house and laid his jacket on the small chair next to the door. And knew he was not alone then as he heard Emmet's voice from his telepathy gift....The guy was obviously feeling lonely....So Edward walked into the living room where the big old piano was and saw his brother sitting on the couch all laid out....And looking very relaxed....
"You looked occupied...." Edward said breaking the silence....

Emmett grew bored and hungry as he waited for someone to pop through that door. He personally would rather it be his angel, but he didn't expect them to be coming home any time soon. Emmett thought he would entertain himself with some t.v. Grabbing the remote from the table he turned it on and flipped through the channels. He was extremely picky when it came to what to watch, Rosalie loved her soaps while he liked his games. "No....No.....No.." he said as he looked through the guide, there was nothing interesting on. He did manage to spot a old Superbowl game that was on, but his team was loosing. "No!" he shouted, frustrated he shut the t.v off and threw the remote next to him on the couch. Slouching back he let out a sign. Moments later he heard a car pull up in the driveway. It sounded like Edward's Volvo but he didn't know if it was Edward inside. The door opened and closed, the footstep grew closer to Emmett as he heard the keys to the car drop on the table. "You looked occupied...." he heard a familiar voice say from behind. Looking back he smiled, jumping off of the couch and climbed over the back and jumped onto the floor. His mood was lifted when he saw the opportunity for a game. "Hey, where were yah? I've been here all day and no one is home." he said as he crossed his hands over his muscular chest. "I'm bored, wanna go play some football?" he said like a child on sugar.

"Driving around....Out thinking about things....Foot ball?" Edward said as he watched his over energetic brother leap from the couch. Well, this was not the day Edward wanted. But h would make do with it. And Edward gave Emmet a smile then.
"Sure....Why not? The ladies are shopping....To bad Jasper and Carlisle are not here...We could split up into teams make it fair ya know..."
Yay for foot ball....Nah not really. Edward liked Baseball better. But there was no thunderstorms going on and it didn't look like there was gonna be either. But Emmet and Edward could go so deep in the forest and find their best meadow for the game all by their selves. Unaware of the latest 'creatures' and all coming through Forks and parts of Seattle, the two vampires were pretty much ready to have fun for a change....
"Maybe we need a big field out in the woods some where for that. A flat land would be nice too. Cause foot ball is played on flat land right?" Edward was well educated, but when it came to sports other than what he plays, he's not so bright. Edward leaned against one of the tables as he looked out at an open window and felt the cool air blow in. And just knew this would be a change but it would get him out of the house. He could only hope that Bella was having as much as he was going to have. He warned Alice to not talk about the love triangle thing to Bella....That was for him and Bella only....Knowing Alice she would try though....

Esme stood just outside of town by a for sale sign post. The post belonged to a house that was quite unkempt, though it was still in good condition. Other than the occasional broken window, the peeling paint, and the rotting porch it was quite fixable and could be up and running in a few months time. Well, a few months for a human, a week for a vampire with a skilled eye for renovating.
She nodded to herself, deciding to talk to Carlisle before she made the final decision on buying this house. She turned and walked into the forest which turned into a run once she reached the safety of the forests cover. She was heading in the direction of her home with the rest of the Cullen's. She heard the conversation about football as she approached and came to a halt at the back door, she wiped her clothes off and straightened herself out, not that it took much work, though she probably shouldn’t have been running in a skirt so it took longer to fix than it usually should have.
She stepped inside and gave her sons warning looks at their plans for the day, “Just don’t tear anything up. People might wonder what is uprooting trees so be careful. Other than that have fun.” She smiled lightly at them at the end. She thought for a moment, “Actually I might join you, just watching of course. But Carlisle will likely be behind me if I come along and we certainly enjoy playing with you guys.” Esme added, ‘Just let me change’ she thought before dashing up the stairs to out on a change of clothes.

Emmett was known as the 'baby' in the family. And for the most part they were right. He had the attention span of a five year old and the energy of a teenager on drugs. Not to mention the extra speed and strength. "Driving around....Out thinking about things....Foot ball?" Emmett laughed. He knew exactly what Edwards was thinking about. Bella. When his brother started having the same urges as Emmett had done twice before, he told him it was driving him crazy and it needed to stop. The girl was not like them and it made Emmett nervous, afraid she would do something to put his family in jeopardy. But once he had the chance to get to know her he quickly warmed up to her, making her the main target in his practical jokes and comments. He grew to love her like a sister almost, he always loved to joke about how clumsy she is as a human. "Yeah...right...thinking. I bet it's that Bella girl that's been occupying your mind. Dude...she's got you wrapped around her little human fingers." she said with a wide grin, a chuckled escaped his lips. "Sure....Why not? The ladies are shopping....To bad Jasper and Carlisle are not here...We could split up into teams make it fair ya know..." An eyebrow raised as Emmett starred at his brother. In Emmett's mind Edward didn't know the meaning of fair with his abilities and such. Edward always knew his moves before he was going to make them. To Emmett that was not fair. "Fair...like you know fair. You can't even do me a favor and shut that damn thing off!" he said waving his arms, frustrated at the fact that even though he was the biggest and strongest, he could still never beat Edward. At that moment he heard the rear door opened and Esme walked through. It was weird that everyone was coming home all at once, if only his Rosie could be one of them. “Just don’t tear anything up. People might wonder what is uprooting trees so be careful. Other than that have fun. Actually I might join you, just watching of course. But Carlisle will likely be behind me if I come along and we certainly enjoy playing with you guys.” A grin formed on his round pale face. He was excited that it was going to be close to a full team, now he just had to find Jasper and Carlisle and it was set. He figured the girls wouldn't be back for a while, only because of Alice and Rosie of course. He watched as Esme jetted up the stairs, out of sight he turned hi gaze back to Edward. Crossing his arms over his chest and arched his back and naturally puffed out his chest. "Maybe we need a big field out in the woods some where for that. A flat land would be nice too. Cause foot ball is played on flat land right?" Edward continued. "Yeah, that's perfect. Let me grab the ball." he said. He quickly dashed up the stairs and into his bedroom, grabbing the ball within a flash he appeared before Edward again. "Got it." he said with a grin.

Just when Edward was gonna answer his brother. In walked Esme. Beautiful as ever. Edward gave her a sweet smile. She was more of a mother to him than any one ever had been. Even if his real mother begged for him to be saved, that did not compare to the new bond he has with Esme. Edward would do all he could to make her proud of him. He thought he had finally found the girl of his dreams. He remembered long summer night talks with Esme on that subject before Edward met Bella. Esme wanted her youngest to be just as happy as the other ones in the family were. She was so kind and caring with him and his other siblings.
"Esme, you and Carlisle find a house yet?" He knew she has. He could read her mind. But he would rather hear it from her mouth than her mind. That's why he would always almost not really use his ability unless he needed to. Then what she said next was not unexpected of her. She was always wanting to have her fun as well....Edward laughed when she said not to tear any thing up...That was true. Vampires could make a pretty big mess when it came to sports....Edward heard what she said in her mind. That she wanted to change clothes so wait for her...He nodded...And just waited some more. More than likely they would take the jeep for this little game of foot ball....Edward then looked back at Emmet....
Edward smiled as Emmet came out with his little jokes....And a slight chuckle escaped Edward's lips....As he raised an eye brow...
"You think so? Lately, she's been some what distant of me. She's hanging out with the girls today...But still that counts as distance....Her father doesn't like me one bit. He thinks I'm a walking zombie....Because I never talk to him hardly and get nervous around him."
Edward then furrowed his eye brows in frustration at his brother as Emmet went on about 'fair'....Emmet did have a good point though. Edward then just let out a frustrated sigh in response to what his bother said about 'fair'. Edward couldn't play fair even if he wanted to. That was so true. But Emmet forgot one person he couldn't read their mind...Bella....That was frustration to Edward far beyond his own....But Edward knew he was not gonna win a fight with this....So why get an attitude with it....? He just remained quiet then....His brother was right....

Esme returned a few moments later with a change of clothes, jeans and a nice shirt as compared to the skirt and blouse she had on earlier. "I found a house, yes. But I am discussing with Carlisle later about whether or not to buy it. I am not entirely sure yet and I want his opinion." she answered the question he had asked her earlier. "Maybe you can come with me next time I go over there and tell me what you think of it." she said softly. She sat down on the couch and waited for them to be ready to go.

[/b] Jasper said coming down the stairs. This was a distraction he could use. 'Ignore him' Jasper thought. It was always the same. Emmett never learned. Jasper didn't know why he insisted upon going over it again and again and again when he knew the answers already. 60 years was a long time to argue on the same subject. Jasper wasn't holding his breath (hahahaha) for Emmett to stop going on about it. He would just continue to ignore him.[/ul][/justify][/blockquote] A/N Edddwwwaarrrrrd, could you please not use that shade of blue?

"Esme, you and Carlisle find a house yet?" [/i] Emmett hear Edward say to their adoptive mother. For as long as he had known her she had always loved buying old run down houses and restoring them to their full glory. Emmett was actually impressed with the Esme's talents as a designer. He loved seeing the final result of Esme's latest project, even though him and Rosalie would end up destroying it with their wild love making. "I found a house, yes. But I am discussing with Carlisle later about whether or not to buy it. I am not entirely sure yet and I want his opinion. Maybe you can come with me next time I go over there and tell me what you think of it." Why does Edward get to go with Esme to pick out a house and he can't? I just kept his big mouth shut though this time, he didn't want to say something and give Edward another reason to tease him about him and Rosie's extra curricular activities. "You think so? Lately, she's been some what distant of me. She's hanging out with the girls today...But still that counts as distance....Her father doesn't like me one bit. He thinks I'm a walking zombie....Because I never talk to him hardly and get nervous around him." with that Emmett let out a chuckle. He thought it was quite funny that he mentioned that because in a way Edward was sort of like a walking zombie. Except he didn't eat brains but drank your blood. Tossing the football back and forth between his large hands he grinned "You think? I've been getting the feeling she's grown a serious liking to that wolf friend of her's. Jacob...or whatever his name is he still smells like a wet dog." he commented as the bridge of his nose crinkled. He didn't like Bella hanging out with him and more than Edward did, but he didn't care as much as him. The only woman he ever wanted to care about was his Rosie. "Are we going to argue about playing fair again? Because we've had this conversation over the past 60 years and it always ends the same." a familiar voice rang through Emmett's ears, footsteps soon followed the voice down the stairs he turned his gaze into the direction it was coming from. The grin that was already planted on his face grew wider as he watched his other older brother make his presence known. Even with his remark Emmett couldn't help but get excited as the team grew bigger. He didn't mind at first when it was just him and Edward, but he liked the idea of more of the family joining in on the fun. With a slight nod he laughed at his brothers comment. "Yeah...and count on 60 more coming your way." he said with a chuckle, raising his arm and tossing the football towards Jasper, twisting in the air at speeds unmanageable to humans but to vampires...it was nothing. "You're turn for offense." he said to his brother with a mischievous grin.[/blockquote]

Edward smiled when Esme said she found a house. But she was not sure if she should buy it or not. "Sure. I can do that if you want...OK." Edward let Esme walk away and up stairs....to get ready. Soon after she disappeared, another familiar face came down the stair case. Jasper Cullen. Going on about the constant argument that, Emmet and Edward would always find themselves at eventually.
But Edward wasn't mad at his brother for pointing out the argument again. Edward remained silent with the taller, blond came down the stairs. And stated the fact about 'fair'. Jasper was right though. They have gone on with this far too long. And it always ended the same way.
"Alright. We gotta put an end to this. I can't help it, if I was gifted with this special power. If I could wish it away, I would. But it's not going to happen Emmet. Come on...Just please drop it. I don't want you to speak about it ever again. Okay. Let's just try and enjoy today."
Edward hoped by now, that his brother would end this little feud that he and Edward shared so many times. Plus Edward was tired of hearing about it himself. But then Esme came back ready to. Her clothes were so different from the other ones she had on before. But she always looked great.

Esme was back down stairs and she looked at her three 'sons' with a small frown, "Stop arguing boys." She told them, "You are all gifted, some of your gifts are just more invasive but your strength helps you as well" she added. She was back in the down stairs area, waiting for the boys to get ready to go.

[/i] Jasper asked mentally though he did not have a full heart behind the question. He loved Emmett, he really did but this was becoming too waring. For the longest time he put up with being cajoaled into 'just another around' but he had more than had enough of 'no cheating'. Jasper was very inclined to cheat today. Very. Jasper usually did not condone cheating, Edward couldn't help it but he could himself and today he was very interested in playing some gamesmanship against his physically bigger brother. He had gone on about playing fair for far too long and he wasn't in the mood to put up with it today. He guessed his sombre mood, although lifted, remained in the background. Part of his mind would always circle around the vicious attacks of newborns in Seattle, of which there were plenty and occuring exponentially. Jasper caught the ball with ease. "Your argument is redundant. Learn," Jasper replied irritated. He wasn't in the mood for Emmett's silly argument. It was so old it was ancient and Jasper really wasn't having anything it. Irritation stiffened his muscles as he tried not to growl at his adoptive brother. "I hope it all goes according to plan," he said to Esme. [/blockquote]

A red Lotus Europa raced through the streets of Forks at a startling speed. “I can’t believe I am doing this…” the brunette driver repeated over and over again to herself, “I shouldn’t be doing this…” she added. “But I need a place to stay… hopefully the Cullen’s will let me stay with them until I can find one…” she muttered but she fell silent when she reached what the range of hearing would have been for the Cullen’s coven. She didn’t slow her speed however until she came to a screeching halt at the front of the Cullen’s home.
‘I shouldn’t be here… I should stay away…’ she thought as she got out of her car and walked up to the door of the house. She had retained what she had learned of the Cullen family, looks, powers, etc. She also knew Edward would be reading her mind right now but she shrugged it off as she knocked, not that it was needed; they all already knew she was here anyway.
The girl nervously played with her brunette curls as she waited on the porch. She also kept going through everything she could as to not give too much away to the household mind reader, assuming he was there that is. But she liked her mental privacy and that was one reason why she was afraid of coming here, she might lose it. She waited silently, knowing her wait wouldn't be a long one.

Emmett could tell he was getting on his brother's nerves. Both of them. Personally he didn't care, but today he was not the day to fight, even Emmett knew he crossed the line but still couldn't help himself from opening his big mouth. He was used to being yelled at for his outbursts, but he had trouble learning when to keep his mouth shut. When he changed into a vampire, not only did his looks stop from changing but as did his childish behavior. "Alright. We gotta put an end to this. I can't help it, if I was gifted with this special power. If I could wish it away, I would. But it's not going to happen Emmet. Come on...Just please drop it. I don't want you to speak about it ever again. Okay. Let's just try and enjoy today." Being a man he didn't like to accept defeat, but swallowing his pride he nodded to his brother. He was right and Emmett knew it, even if he didn't want to admit it in words.
"Stop arguing boys."
[/i] he heard his adoptive mother say. He respected her enough to keep his mouth shut, but still held in the urge to lash out. He felt like he needed to defend himself but knew to keep quiet. Not only were Edwards and Esme getting irritated, it had seemed Jasper had joined in too. Jasper's face was an open book. Emmett and Jasper fought more than any of the other's, only because Jasper grows tired of his brother's rude and unnecessary comments and Emmett knew it. "Your argument is redundant. Learn," he heard his brother say, his voice harsh and stern. Raising an eyebrow Emmett opened his mouth to speak but decided against it. Biting his tongue he, for once, did not argue and kept his mouth shut. Instead of fighting back with words, he decided to take it out onto the field. Soon after the sound of a fast moving car sped up their driveway and came to a halt. Emmett stood perfectly still as he listened closely to the car door slam shut. He secretly hoped it was his angel, coming to rescue him once again like she always did. Once a knock was heard from the front door, his heart sank. He knew it wasn't the girls for they wouldn't of knocked on the door of their own house. "I'll get it." he said with his tail in between his legs he walked towards the door. Gripping the doorknob with his hands he opened the door to find a strange brunette woman standing on their porch. "Hi. Can I help you?" he said, his deep voice said sternly.[/blockquote][/blockquote]
