Ryan Sean ChippewaCharacter Play-by: Sean Faris
name: Ryan Chippewa age: Sixteen gender: Male orientation: Heterosexual race: Shapeshifter birthplace: Forks current location: La Push occupation: Student
personality: Ryan's the sort of guy to keep to his own, a little quiet at the beginning, but is definitely much more enthusiastic once you got to know him. He is very kind, polite, and doesn't like to be rude just to be rude.. he needs a really good reason to. Recently moving to La Push, he is in a different environment, leaving all of his friends he used to have, and sort of losing that confidence and leaving him a little upset, so he's a bit gloomier than usual.
Ryan's also very smart and is well-behaved, and has been a top student at Forks consistently. He thinks very rationally and if not approached logically, Ryan may not understand things. A more abstract way of thinking things out has yet to grow on him. However, that being said, he is really creative and crafty, as well as overwhelmingly clever. Ryan uses all of that brainpower when he needs it most, and will likely need it in this supernatural side of world he has stepped into.
Not everything about him is quiet and to-himself, though. With people he knows well, he's very outspoken, and doesn't like to hold back an opinion. He also is a bit cocky with people he's close to, and is extremely sarcastic with pretty much everybody. He also can be really impulsive, sometimes working out for him, sometimes not. Oh, and he gets intimidated fairly easily, and isn't really good at hiding it either.
detailed history: Andrew and Tala Chippewa had a baby; his name was Ryan. The three were very happy and all lived in Forks, Washington as one content family. Andrew and Tala were starting to get the hang of being parents. Andrew, however, never told something to Tala. He used to be a shifter. In fact, he had been a shifter for longer than he had told people he was alive for, finally giving it up to age and settle down with her. He was scared of the reaction and kept it to himself... however, in the back of his mind, he always was worried that little Ryan may have gotten the gene. Nonetheless, Andrew stayed completely silent with the matter, it had the potential to ruin all of the perfection his life had, the perfection all three of them had.
Ryan's life stayed at the same perfect-and-regular pace until he was nine years old. His father was starting to grow more and more worried about if he was going to be hit with the gene. So, the day after his birthday, he explained everything to him. It was hard, it took a lot of building up, but Andrew eventually told him. His son's reaction... was not a good one. In a state of panic, he rushed in and told his mother, who got a slightly distorted story (which generally said that he turned into a wolf at night), and when she laughed and asked Andrew to stop, and the father's face was serious and a little hurt, Tala also started to panic, and darted out of the front door.
Andrew told Ryan to stay where he was and Andrew ran off to get her, however, she darted too far off into the forest to catch up to, to even locate. Tala was running until she was going to pass out... or fall. About fifteen minutes in, the latter option happen, tripping on a rock and hitting her head on a rock; a smoother one, but still a rock. Blood started to pour out, and she was introduced to a second supernatural species... the vampire. One came up to her, lured in by the blood, and well... we can all put together what happened after that.
Two days later, the police found her body, and had to tell the father and son that Tala died, but didn't say what condition she was in.. it wasn't easy to say. Ryan's heart sank and his whole life took a 180 degree turn, running into his room and protesting coming out of it for four days, only sneaking out at night to get food. It really took him about three weeks to get better, and after that he went back to school. He never really got over it, though. It wasn't something that one could just get over.
The next big event came at sixteen, when Ryan had a major flu, and was burning up at ridiculously high temperatures. Andrew remembered this, and knew what it meant. He was about to undergo his phasing, and quite obviously, Ryan got the gene. That's when his father decided to move to La Push, so he would be in the presence of other shifters; in case Ryan ever wanted to go to them for help. Now on the brink of shifting, this is where Ryan's real story begins.
fears: Shifters, snakes, expired foods, extreme heights, excessive blood and gore, roads that are next to a steep hill and have no guard rail, and wooden bridges.
strengths: His brains, his great speed (even before shifting), and his ability to persuade very well.
weaknesses: A good-looking girl, the fact he gets intimidated easily, and the fact he's new to everything.
likes: Food, music, most sports, sleeping, girls, TV, and living life.
dislikes: Vampires, shifting, ignorance, stupidity, and feeling alone.
facial appearance: Along with the rest of his skin, Ryan's face has barely any tan showing in it, which is rare in a shifter as they're all Native American, however, he's only a quarter Native American, and it clearly does not show. He has black hair which he keeps short at all times, because he hates it when it's long. He has brown eyes and has
clothing: Ryan dresses sort of like a jock, sleeveless shirts or T-shirts, basketball shorts, and tennis shoes is the typical style, and thanks to his body warmth won't have to worry about getting cold in the winter when dressing the same.
build: He was fairly slim and fit before his official change into a shifter, however after it, he got a little bit more muscular, as well as grew a bit taller, looking overall just bigger than before. Compared to regular humans, he was one of the tallest in his grade, but of course would fall in the average/just below average range when compared to the shifters.
marks/scars: Ryan has a scar on his right shoulder which came from him falling out of a tree when he was five, his skin was "attacked" by a large branch. It wasn't a severe injury, however it never went away.
species appearance: While in wolf form, Ryan has dark beige fur, with occasional tips of similar shades of the beige; some darker, some lighter. Although still large, like his human self, he is about average if not a little bit below average size compared to the other shifters in wolf form.
