Rahasia Fae IndahCharacter Play-by:Cynthiara Alona
name:Rahasia age:19 gender:female orientation:bi race: Leopard Shifter birthplace:Boston, MA current location:Seattle, WA occupation: model
personality: Rahasia is the type of person that many people see and make swift assumptions about. She’s often mistaken as a snob, self centered, or even unintelligent due to her appearances and her occupation. This couldn’t be further from the truth though. It is true that appearance is nearly everything to Rahasia, but most of this is due to her profession. She is always kept nice, and constantly buying the most in clothing and accessories. Her hair and make up is always done, and she hasn’t left home this way since she can remember. Although she models for a living her self esteem is very low, which in itself voids the idea of her being snobby. This girl is extremely caring of others even if she’s not the most outgoing or open with her feelings. She would do anything for a complete stranger let alone the rare friend she may have. Friends aren’t something she has many of. Since her experience in her first shift she has become extremely secretive with her life. It will take a special person for her to befriend them.
Although she is extremely thoughtful, and secretive she also has quite a temper. Most anger is held inside and not shown to the outside. Many wouldn’t expect it but once this sweet girl blood begins to boil over anybody within a five mile radius may want to watch out for her wrath. She flies into a blind rage and it could be over the most insignificant thing in the world. Often she does become physical smashing any thing or anybody in her way. This is a reason that lately she has preferred to stay within her feline self when alone, it helps her avoid attacking humans in her “normal” body as she refers to it to herself and becoming outcast or even thrown behind bars. detailed history: Her heritage began in a remote area of Asia where leopard shifters had migrated due to a large vampire overpopulation that was spreading across the continent like an infestation. Where ever the vampires were the shifters closely followed attempting to eliminate the pests from the earth protecting human lives. After a few decades rumors began to spread like wild fire through the remote village, the tales of people shifting into animals told from one human to the next. Massive hunts for these creatures were conducted on nearly a nightly basis. Those who the shifters had protected were now the hunted. For fear of being caught the small Indah clan took to the seas in search of a new land to call home. The group of 13 soon found themselves upon a small uninhabited Pacific Island.
For many years the tropical paradise was undiscovered by any other civilizations other then those who found it to be home. Every person walking amongst the jungle foliage was a leopard shifter, and freely used their powers. With shifter only having the ability to mate to yet another shifter the power grew in strength. Each generation was raised with the ability and encouraged to spend much time in their leopard forms. Nearly a century after the first clan stepped foot and paw upon the island an outside ship had found itself upon the white sand shores carrying scientists who were studying nearby islands.
The arrival of the outsiders brought forth many different feelings. Some were pleased while others wanted to kill them off immediately. Everybody took to their animal form to avoid human to human contact hoping it would force the new comers to leave. Many days were spent lurking through the underbrush waiting for the strangers to get back into their ships and head for home to hopefully forget this island ever existed. Through the lore of the clan the stories of how the humans they had protected turned against them were kept alive, as was the bitterness for those unlike themselves. Plans to kill the invaders began to develop between higher ranked members within the Indah clan. One particular woman was completely against such brutality. Peace had been a part of their lives since the arrival here and Hoku didn’t want to see such a change.
As both humans and shifters slept one late evening Hoku prowled toward a single illuminated tent powered by candle light. She had been watching the humans closely from the trees and had noticed one who stood out to her, it was as if an invisible force pulled her to him. Perhaps his being awake still is what drew her near. Golden orbs found themselves peeking into the small opening of the tent and watching closely as the handsome scientist seemed to be overlooking data from their studies. Without much thought Hoku transformed back to her human self for the first time since the human arrival. Not much communication was made between the two for lack of spoken language, but there was a strong physical passion between the pair.
Every night Hoku snuck to the man’s tent until her belly began to swell with child. No other within the tribe was involved with Hoku. It was noticed that she would disappear nightly and soon spies were sent to track her. When she was found by the pair of leopards she was weak from birthing, a young girl held within the strange human’s arms. Hoku was killed immediately for her traitorous acts against the clan. Only now was the reason for such a strong connect made obvious as the man she had fallen in love with shifted himself into a large leopard, white as the snow. This was the last night for Hoku and for any of the intruders to take a breath. Hoku’s sister had watched silently before grabbing the infant, placing her upon a small raft and sending her out into the moon kissed ocean praying that she would find safety.
Rahasia was found upon the beach of Nahant in Massachusetts where authorities were called and she was taken to an orphanage. It did not take long for the child of only a few months to find a home with a seemingly loving mother and father. Here she was raised. Her adoptive mother always very kind and gentle. Yet her father was an angry soul and would often yell and curse at both his wife and adopted daughter. When Rahasia turned 17 the father had crossed the line. She had dealt with physical and mental abuse for many years, yet his choice to take it to a sexual level had her fleeing. With no money, no transportation, and nobody to call for help she took a bag of clothes and essentials, and a pair of sneakers. roleplay sample: Today was a rather unusual day compared to those that had just passed her by. The sun’s warm rays had awoken her as their heat beat against a smooth face. Long shadows were cast like blackened scars along each cheek as the fire from above was blocked by thick lashes. A nearly silent groan cursed it’s way from slightly parted lips, their pink was dull and the skin cracked from being weathered. To moisten the dryness a crimson muscle slipped from a damp cavern allowing the tip to run course along full lips leaving a trail of dew in it’s wake. She couldn’t believe that it was already morning. It seemed only moments earlier the teenager had found herself leaning against the old bark of an ancient oak only to slide down it’s length. It didn’t matter that it had rained for three days straight, seemingly since she took her first step into Washington State, well according to the sign posted upon her path any how. The seat of her indigo jeans were now soaked with wet dirt and surely decorated with various other forest litter. She should be pleased that she managed to arrive to her destination, she should have some more energy….be running through the streets praising the new bright day that was hopefully a reflection of how her life would now be. Instead it took a long moment for lids to flutter open allowing a flash of chocolate irises to see the Washington for the first time in actual day light.
A deep sigh expanded her rib cage as lungs filled with the atmosphere, only for the carbon to be slowly forced through nares to feed the flora surrounding her. She was not a morning person and never was and chances were she never would be. Long, lean arms stretched forward, each individual finger spreading to their full length before embracing her own knees. Another quick sigh puffed from between coral lips as her head left it’s wooden pillow to twist around and take in her surroundings. This was the end of the road. The last chapter in her trek from one coast to another on foot. Yet the beginning of a new book. Rahasia couldn’t help but wonder if this story would be one of horror, drama, or a beautiful fairy tale. Only time would tell.
