Athenodora Marie VolturiCharacter Play-by:Doutzen Kroes
name: Athenodora age: 1,784 gender: Female orientation: Straight race: Vampire, human blood birthplace: Italy current location: Volterra Italy occupation: Volturi Wife
personality: Athenodora is a quiet woman, who tends to seem uncaring towards anyone outside the Volturi. When it comes to her family though, she’s caring, sweet and almost a typical vampire housewife. She’s unforgiving, especially to those who hurt Caius, but she’s also extremely loyal. She’s unlikely to betray anyone in the Volturi, unless they do something that would directly affect herself or her husband. She can come off as cold to some, definitely proud and thinks of herself as royalty and thinks others should treat her as such.
It’s rare to see her outside of the tower, for she fears someone who dislikes the Volturi will attack her, and she’s been inside for so long, she’s not entirely sure she’d be able to fight them off. She enjoys drawing, the arts, her family and spending time with Caius. Despite the knowledge that he is her mate, and her mate alone, she does get jealous if it seems like someone may be flirting with him – it doesn’t happen often, but she has a temper, and when it flairs its ugly.
detailed history: Athenodora Marie di Silvestro (Volturi) was born in 221 BC to her mother Amadora and her father Santo. Atti, as her mother called her, was the youngest of two, with her older brother Giovanni just two years older than her. She grew up extremely close to her cousin, Sulpicia, often thinking of her as her best friend. When Atti had turned 17, her parents arranged a marriage between her and a man named David. It was a long engagement, David trying to make sure everything was stable and he had a good living before he took her as his wife. They were married three years later, Atti had just turned twenty. It was unusual not to be married earlier than that then, but it suited her fine, as it meant more time to flirt and hang out with Sulpicia.
Just a year into her marriage, when Atti was twenty, she ran into a fair-haired, pale stranger. It was immediate, she felt a sense of need, and she had to be with him. She ran away with him, never thinking twice about leaving her husband behind, this beautiful stranger was the only thing that mattered anymore. It wasn’t long after that, that she was changed, and she started her new life as a vampire, and joined Caius, as his wife, in the Volturi.
The Volturi was all Athenodora knew, they were the law, no one was to question them. This was the only way of life, humans were animals, and their only importance was as food. With Caius by her side, life was perfect, she even had Sulpicia, as she’d been turned and was mated with Aro. Her human life was soon forgotten, her vampire family the only ones that mattered. As it grew, her love for the Volturi continued, and really, it made no sense for anyone to not love them. Those who didn’t were just rule breakers who deserved the punishment that was coming to them.
After years of being in the tower, Athenodora learned to fear leaving its safety. She started to worry about those vampires that disliked the Volturi, those who opposed them, she worried they’d kill her to upset the ancients. She now rarely leaves, and when she does, Caius is with her, and if not him, then a body guard or two. It seemed to suit Caius as well, and so Athenodora only leaves Volterra when it’s of great importance, and only leaves the tower when someone is with her. When her husband leaves, she can often be found drawing, or sitting in his throne waiting for his return.

facial appearance: Her features are soft, and very feminine. Her lips are slightly plump, yet not to an extreme. Her eyes are either red or black, but slightly clouded as are all the ancients from the incident with the Romanians. Her hairs blonde, and waves a bit near her cheeks, and hangs down past her shoulders. clothing: It’s rare to see her in pants, she almost always wears dresses, or at least a skirt. Her favorite dress is long and black, sleek and form fitting. Most of her dresses are black in color, elegant and sophisticated. She wears a diamond ring on her left ring finger, a symbol to show her devotion to her husband, and a necklace with the Volturi V. The only time she wears sneakers or flats is when they have to travel, other than that, she is always in high heels. She often carries or wears a black velvet cloak, the hood up when she’s out in public. build: Athenodora is thin, small framed yet athletic and strong like all vampires. She’s average height, about 5’5”. She has long legs, and is rather delicate looking despite the strength she has. marks/scars: She only has one scar, on her wrist from where she was bitten. species appearance: She’s a vampire, so very pale, with red eyes and absolutely beautiful.
your name: Tala age: 24 how long have you been roleplaying?: nearly 4 years how did you find us?: proboards support codeword: eclipse
roleplay sample: Athenodora absolutely hated when Caius had to go away for one reason or another.
There was apparently some vampire the men wanted to check out, leaving with a few members of the guard, which meant she and Sulpicia were alone. She’d taken to sitting in his throne whenever she got lonely, and no one said anything because what could they do about it? It wasn’t as if he’d deny her, tell her not to sit there anyway. Especially once he found out that it was because she missed him. There was a small, tiny urge to go after him, to leave the tower, leave Volterra, and find her mate. If it weren’t for her fear of such things, she’d do exactly that. Her legs dangled carelessly over the arm of the throne, her pale had sketching absentmindedly along a paper on her lap.
It was a drawing of her and Caius, of course.
Luckily, further distraction would come soon enough. One of the guard would surely be giving the humans a “tour” of the tower soon, and leading the idiot tourists to where she could pick one off easily, without barely lifting a finger. Lazy was one way to look at it – she preferred to think that she was well cared for, just as royalty should be. A small sigh escaped her lips as she stopped drawing, her hand running down the side of the throne. It still smelt like him, his wonderful scent. Atti took in a deep breath, filling her nose with the scent, committing it to memory for the trillionth time. It was probably more than that, but she wasn’t sure, or she didn’t care, what came after trillion. Huffing slightly as she glanced around the room, she frowned. Time meant nothing to them, of course, but it meant a lot when it went by so slowly, and it only did that when her love wasn’t with her. She’d blame Aro if she thought that Sulpicia wasn’t off somewhere blaming Caius. Marcus couldn’t be blamed; he was too mopey to want to do anything.
