Stephen grew up in a loving caring family. His father became a painter, and his mother a housewife. They both cherished and loved him dearly. To Stephen, his life was going almost perfect. As time went by his mother came down with cancer, and eventually she passed. This devasted Stephen, who became increasingly depressed, and also his father, who became violent, abusive and alcoholic. Stephen's perfect life was ruined, and he longed for his mother more than anything else. In time he grew distant from his father, and eventually grown to resent him. And one day, coming home he found his father with another woman. That pushed him to the edge, as he believed his mother was irreplaceable. That same day he ran away from home, leaving behind the bad memories.
Of course, he didn't last all alone. At first he got by stealing food from kitchens, but eventually they grew wary of him. Next, he tried eating from the garbage, but he could barely stomach it. Soon the garbage did not do anything for his hunger, and starvation set in. He tried begging, but day by day he was refused. Eventully his starvation was so severe, he could hardly stand, only lie there and watch as people walk by. Happy families and their children, lovers, successful businessmen, all that he thought he would someday achieve, mocked him as he layed there, starving and alone.
One rainy night, almost on the brink of death Stephen prayed to the stars. He didn't pray for food, he didn't pray for his family back, he prayed for release from this world and all the pain and suffering. Little did he know, someone was about to grant his wish. As Stephen lay on the steet dying, a thirsty vampire shambled over to him, knelt down and sank his fangs into Stephen's neck. Stephen didn't scream, mostly because he didn't have the energy to. He winced, and eventually accepted it. Though he did not die, rather he fell unconcious.
A few hours passed, and Stephen awoke. He thought it was all a dream, and to that, he was dissapointed. In anger he kicked a puddle of water, and glared at it. As the ripples in the puddle calmed down, it revealed his reflection, which shocked him. He staggered back and stared at his arm, which was pale white and as cold as marble, his eyes were a bright red, and his immense hunger was replaced by an extreme thirst. In panic he looked side to side, and he happened to catch a gaze at another homeless person. His eyes darkened, his mouth salivated and his lost control of his body. Stephen dashed over to him and sank his newfound fangs onto the man's neck.
It was sweet, warm, and oh so sweet. After a while he pushed the man off to the side and he eventually regained control of himself. He was scared, scared of himself and what he had done. He had just killed a man, draining him dry of his blood, but it made him feel energized. Blood was his only food now, but it made him feel horrified every time he drained innocent people for it. At the moment, he tries to only drink from blood packs stolen from hospitals. But still it is a bit unbearable for him to do. Stephen searched for alternatives and found an answer. roleplay sample:
'in the darkness light will take you to the other side' The smell of moist morning dew fills the crisp cold air.The sun slowly peeks above the horizon, slowly illuminating the world. The soft chirping of birds seems to harmonize with the soft breeze creating a sweet melody. It was another morning, the world will slowly fill with life as it awakens. People will soon work for the money they needed in order to live. That isn't the case for Stephen. Answers is what he needed, but simply working wouldn't give them to him.
Stephen lets out a soft sigh, and leans against the creaking wall of the abandoned house. This shabby, dark, dank house that is slowly falling apart has became his new home. He slumped down to ground, laying an arm on his knee, pondering where the answers to his thirst is. As he closes his eyes, he thought about the first moment he tasted human blood. It made him shudder, but at the same time it excited him. It was the best he ever felt draining that man, but at the same time, he realizes he had just killed someone to feed his hunger. He had ended one innocent life, just to retain his own.
Stephen then sighed, and reached into his jacket flap, bringing out his last blood pack. He tore the top and took a small sip. His dark red eyes seemed to intensify and his pupils dialated. The thirst seemed to intensify, his throat burning for more. He then drank the rest, gulping it down aggresively then throwing it off to the side. Stephen's thrist has been quenched, for the moment that is. He stood up and lazily walked down the creaking stairs, slowly making his way towards the door.
'...you'll find me waiting there you'll see if you just close your eyes'
