Sean Nathaniel ReeseCharacter Play-by: Sean Faris
name: Sean Reese age: Sixteen gender: Male orientation: Heterosexual race: Shifter birthplace: Portland, Oregon current location: La Push, Washington occupation: Student
personality: Sean used to be a happy, fun, and outgoing person. However, after his accident (go to history to find out more), he changed a lot. Sean is far from social anymore, doing anything he can to stay from any human (or non-human, of course) contact other than the baby and occasionally his older brother or mom. He also almost never is happy unless playing with the baby, which Sean does most of the time if not at school, which sometimes doesn't even stop him, ditching to see the baby and making sure he is okay. That being said, he is extremely paranoid and always has something on his mind.
Sean isn't a bad person though, far from actually. He is, in fact, very smart as well as fairly polite whenever he has to interact with other people. He can still be close to someone, however, it takes a lot of trust for him to even consider opening up to you, which only one have achieved since the accident. However, once you gain his trust, he is very loyal and reliable. Sean is very trustworthy and isn't someone you can really dislike, since he either tends to be quiet around you or because you have his trust and he's comfortable around you. Overall, Sean's a very anti-social person, but once you get to know him, you'll soon realize that he's a very good friend.
detailed history: Sean Nathaniel Reese is the proud second (and last) child of Rebekah and William Reese. Rebekah is from La Push, and is half Native American, her father being a shifter like Sean, but was not in the Quileuete pack (once again like him). William Reese was full white, and his skin showed it, being extremely pale, almost as pale as a vampire. He lived in Portland his whole life, and met Rebekah at a camp their junior year over the summer, and had a long distance relationship for almost a year and a half, after six months since senior year ended, Rebekah moved to Portland to live with William, and six months later, she was pregnant with Sean's older brother, Daniel Reese. About two years later, Sean was born.
The Reese family was extremely content, the parents having good stable careers, and the two kids at a daycare, both behaving and angelic, of course. They were always the "cute little brothers", thankfully for them their parents didn't put them in matching clothing. Sean grew, grew, and gre, and eventually reached Kindergarten, the first step. He loved school, loved the people there, and overall just enjoyed the life he had, even though that's not hard when you're five years old. First, second, third, all the way up to ninth grade was the same way, no problems at all. The summer he was going into sophomore year however, was not the same though.
Sean, Daniel, William, even Rebekah were all unaware of the secrets about the Quileuete tribe having shifters. I mean, how could you just be aware and not care that there's a chance you could be part wolf? However, they went on a camping trip, up to the mountains. Sean didn't realize that he was going to change into something he didn't want to over this trip. He went to sleep and started building up with rage in his sleep, breathing heavily and sweating, and in the middle of the night freaked out and ran out of the tent. His body felt uncontrollable, and in the cloudy night of a new moon, nobody could see where Sean was going; he had just transformed into a large wolf. Sean wasn't at all sure what this meant, and started freaking out while in wolf form. His parents and Daniel panicked as they saw their son run off (however did not see him phase). His father quickly reacted by telling them to pack up as William went after to find him, with only a flashlight.
The next morning, Sean was still running and hysterical. Now he knew this wasn't a dream. He eventually attempted to go back into human form, which surprisingly to him did not take much time. Sean had wandered around the mountain alone; tired, weak, alone, scared. He knew everything, but he knew nothing at the same time. What is this? Why am I this thing? Questions wouldn't leave and it just made his trip to find other people the more difficult. It took him a whole day to find his campsite, with about four police cars around it, and his family's own. Once he greeted his mourning family, he found out some more shocking information. His father was killed and torn apart by some beast, most likely a bear or something, the police said. The pain inside was unbearable, and it left him so.. empty.
A month passed, and it hit his mother's mind quickly that they didn't have the money to live in this house, live in Portland. She had called her mother, who still lived on the reservation in La Push. She knew of a house they could stay at and was in their budget, and they had a position open for his mother at a local law firm. Sean was miserable still, and didn't think switching new environments completely would help. However, it didn't stop there. Once he got there, he had spent a lot of time with his grandmother, and always displayed, to a Quileuete tribe veteran, new-shifter-like qualities, seeing them all come and go. She confronted him bluntly, and Sean was baffled. It made all of it make sense, however worse, as she then told him what this "beast" that killed his father was - a vampire, or how she referred to it the first time and times afterwards, a bloodsucker. Knowing the last part hurt a lot, and just made him angry, however knowing that there were some who tried not to murder helped a little, especially knowing there were some in Forks.
A couple weeks pass and Sean finally was settled in a little bit, however refused to socialize with anybody, not even his mother. His brother only got a few talks in, when Sean accidentally slipped a hint on him being a shifter.. and Daniel being very convincing (mainly from intimidation), got the full story, only to be confirmed by his grandmother. Daniel was baffled and completely avoided Sean for days after that, scared he would hurt them being this vicious wolf. This drove Sean crazy, not having the one person who he talked to at all ignore you. He planned on running away, as one night he led himself to the forest and changed in there. It was pouring outside, and he was just walking around, moping in dog form. Sean however, through the rain, heard a noise.
It was distant, yet recognizable noise. A baby crying. Past midnight in the pouring rain. Fearful, he bolted towards the noise to see the baby, abandoned in the woods, stuck in a mud puddle, wrapped in a green blanket. His heart sank and went back to human form. Who could do this? It was the most horrifying thing he had ever seen in his whole life. This baby was left here.. for who knows what to happen to it. Sean couldn't control himself, and just randomly bawled. It was too horrible to see such a sight for him to contain himself. He carried the baby home, Sean exchanging the dirty and damp blanket with his shirt so the baby could at least be a little more comfortable, Sean's body hovering over the baby to prevent rain from hitting it.
When he arrived at his house, his mother, grandma, and older brother were huddled together in the living room, Sean still not being able to stop crying at the cruel sight he saw before. Sean quickly demanded diapers, bottles, clothing, baby formula, and everything that this baby clearly needed. However, he refused to let it - or he, discovering the baby was a boy after changing him - to let the baby out of his sight, or out of his arms. He was too fearful something would happen to the baby, which that night he named Oliver, and his mother agreed to. They "properly" adopted the baby the next day. Sean knew it wasn't his child, since technically it was his adoptive brother, but Sean and Sean alone was the only one (because he wanted it that way) who took care of him when he wasn't at school or had to do something when little Oliver couldn't go as well.
Sean soon started trying to adapt to his very unique lifestyle, not able to leave Oliver out of his sight unless absolutely mandatory and was always scared that something with his shifting abilities would go wrong. He had been advised by his grandmother to discuss officially joining the pack, but being worried that it would leave to conflicts with the baby and just not wanting to use his shifting at all, he passed, even though his grandma said he would eventually... which Sean didn't understand since he was pretty set on not joining. But the life struggles were just unfolding, which is where his story continues.
fears: Something bad happening to his loved ones, especially the baby. Other shifters, especially the ones bigger than him. Shifting at the wrong time without control. Setting a bad example for Oliver. Having his brother avoiding him forever. strengths: Seeing Oliver happy, as nothing matters to Sean more than Oliver. The brand new strength, agility, and endurance. His ability to heal faster. Any powerful rock or hip-hop music. weaknesses: Oliver when crying.. or any other time. Loneliness. Pretty girls. His emotions. His paranoia. likes: Oliver (duh). His loved ones. Asian food. Action movies. dislikes: Vampires that feed off humans. The people who abandoned Oliver (even if he hasn't met them). Intimidation. Violence.
facial appearance: Along with the rest of his skin, Sean's face is white, which is rare in a shifter as they're all Native American, however, he's only a quarter Native American, and it clearly does not show. He has black hair which he keeps short at all times, because he hates it when it's long. He has brown eyes and has near flawless skin; even though that doesn't concern him much. Why should it? clothing: Sean dresses sort of like a jock, sleeveless shirts or T-shirts, basketball shorts, and tennis shoes is the typical style, and thanks to his body warmth won't have to worry about getting cold in the winter when dressing the same. build: He was fairly slim and fit before his official change into a shifter, however after it, he got a little bit more muscular, as well as grew a bit taller, looking overall just bigger than before. Compared to regular humans, he was one of the tallest in his grade, but of course would fall in the average/just below average range when compared to the shifters. marks/scars: Sean has a scar on his right shoulder which came from him falling out of a tree when he was five, his skin was "attacked" by a large branch. It wasn't a severe injury, however it never went away. species appearance: While in wolf form, Sean has a dark beige far, with occasional tips of similar shades of the beige; some darker, some lighter. Although still large, like his human self, he is about average if not a little bit below average size compared to the other shifters in wolf form.
