personality:
Carlisle is completely compassionate, he dreads the thought of hurting another human being. He is gentle and loving and would do his best to save or assist anyone who needs his help. He is a deeply loving person. Thus enabling him to have such a huge covern and a beautiful wife. His love for Esme is one of the strongest ever seen between two vampires. He would give his very life to be with her and would never let anyone harm a hair on her head. This also applies to his covern. If anyone tried to harm any of the members in his covern he wouldnt think twice about retaliating and making sure they wished they had never thought about it. Even though he isnt a violent person at all he can still hold his own in a fight.

Carlisle is kind, charming and very caring. Being born in England back in the time of gentleman, Carlisle acts as if he is still living in this time. He keeps calm and collected when dealing with a problem and never loses his temper. He just isnt the sort to lose it and try and hurt someone. Kind as he is he tries to help everyone and anyone he can, taking a job as a doctor in the hospital to contribute more into helping people. Carlisle is one of the best vampires anyone could meet ever. He would take you in and make sure you are safe and cared for without even batting an eyelid. His covern... more like family mean his whole world to him and he would be willing to give up his life or every single one of his material posetions to save them.

Inteligence has always been Carlisle's strong point. Although not many of the others shared his thirst for knowledge. He did not want to be a vampire or a monster so used his prolonged time to drink in as much knowledge as he could. Even till this very day he still relishes the chance to learn something new. He enjoys to use his knowledge for the greater good. Hoping some day that he will be able to use this to somehow help or change something in the future.

detailed history:

Carlisle James Cullen was born in London, England sometime around the 1640's. His father was a pastor. This was the times when religion and politics was in uproar, when everyone believed in ghosts, witches and vampires. Carlisle's father led many raids on these 'people', ofting killing innocent people in his attempt to rid the world of evil and sin. Roping Carlisle into doing it too, Carlisle knew he had to or his father would disown him and cast him away. All he wanted was to keep his father happy. As his father grew older, Carlisle was placed in charge of the supernatural raids. Making his father proud of him. Carlisle hated this as he hated hurting innocent people but it was the only way to keep his father happy.

As inteligent as he was Carlisle soon found a covern of real vampires deep within the sewars of London. Leading the raid on the vampires many of the participants were killed. However Carlisle was left bleeding in the street. Feeling the effects of the transformation he knew what was happing and dragged himself off to a potato cellar because he knew his father would kill him if he stayed. Managing to stay quiet for the three agonising days, he soon emerged as a vampire. Realising what he had become he tried in vain to end his new life but was unable to. Realising he couldnt kill himself he rushed away from the towns so he couldnt hurt anyone. However his hunger soon drove him crazy and he attacked a passing heard of deer. Realising he could live off them he decided to drink from animals and not humans.

Travling the world, he kept to the nights and refused to come out during the days. As he traveled he learned. Stuffing his brain with as much knowledge as he could. Different languages, sciences, arts and many more. Once he had made his way through Europe he soon found himself in Italy. Stumbling upon another covern of vampires named the Volturi. He had respect for them as they too enjoyed knowledge and inforcing rules. Although he did not agree on the Volturi's feeding habits he stayed with them for years. Making close friends with the three main royals Aro, Caius and Marcus. However he grew tired of being with them and left to study medicine. His passion for helping others was one he could not deny. He became a doctor and worked night shift to fit around his new life.

Moving to America he found himself in Chicago. Working nights in a hospital as Spanish Influenza raveged the country. Carlisle was lonely and longed for someone to join him in his eternal life. Although he didnt want to take someones life from them, he didnt exactly know how to go about it. However he got very close with a family in the hospital. A woman and her young son. The woman had nursed her own son from her death bed but was on her last legs. Her name Elizabeth Masen. In her dying wish, she somehow knew what Carlisle was and asked him to save her son Edward. Edward only had hours... days to live so Carlisle agreed. As he wheeled the young boys mother to the motuary he came back for the young boy and put his venom in the boys veins. It took a huge amount of restraint for Carlisle not to kill the boy but he managed it. Fleeing over the roof tops to take the boy back to his own house and let him change.

Edward didnt seem like he wanted this life. He was rebelious and didnt stick to the new diet. Finally rushing off on his own to do as he pleased. Carlisle could not force him into the lifestyle. However they had changed location and were now in Columbus, Ohio where he now worked in a hospital. He was always getting calls out to a young woman with an abusive husband named Esme. Carlisle somehow developed feelings for the young woman and looked after her as much as he could. Patching her up when she was broken and just providing a shoulder to cry on. However soon, he found himself making the decision to turn her when she jumped from a cliff after loosing her unborn child. Her heart was still beating and Carlisle couldnt leave her. Turning her, he let her develop into the new lifestyle at her own pace. Edward returning back during this time. However they soon fell in love and married. Carlisle loved Esme a lot.

Soon another member joined their ranks a young pretty girl named Rosalie. Carlisle having saved her as she laid on the ground dying after her drunken fiancee and his friends raped and tried to murder her. He hoped she would be to Edward what Esme was to him. However he was wrong as Edward showed no interest. Instead a few years later Rosalie found a boy dying after being mauled by a bear and brought him back to Carlisle to be transformed into a vampire and be saved. After this Alice and Jasper joined the covern just turning up randomly one day, but they were accepted all the same. They moved around and finally stopped in Forks. Where Edward met Bella and fell in love with her.

It was early, like far too early for this normal afternoon riser. As she stumbled about pulling on any old clothes she grabbed her phone and a bottle of water before heading out the door. Savan longed for nothing more than a peaceful night, however since moving to Forks she had been unable to sleep. It was only one of the many things she couldn't do since moving to Forks. Eating was getting more and more of a challenge. With each mouthful the feeling of sickness returned to her stomach and she normally threw it back up. She know why it was but she wasn't going to admit it to herself. She didn't want to even think along those lines just yet.

Walking down by the beach, she reached her hands above her head and yawned slightly. Wincing she put her arms down almost instantly and fixed her t-shirt. Although she hadn't been eating she seemed to have gotten a little bitter bigger, her stomach had gotten more rounder. She knew it couldn't be possible because if anything she would only be a month gone. Yet she was again thinking about the unspeakable. Pushing the thoughts to the back of her mind she gave herself a mental telling off before walking forward. Her leather boots making a noise as she walked to wards the beach.

It was quite damp, but it was to be expected of Forks, Washington. Nothing at all like her beautiful sunny home of California. Well... not any longer. She had no one left. Her parents were dead, and her brother James was now in the army. He was unable to look after her so sent her to live with her uncle. He was not much better, always away with his little playboy skank. She didn't mind though because it was like she had a house of her own. With access to as much money as she wanted she was really enjoying the freedom. Although she didn't enjoy being on her own. She really just needed someone to talk to. Someone to tell her fears to and help her with the problem she was so frightened to admit to herself.

Shaking her head of the thoughts she walked forward to wards the beautiful sandy beach. Although it was a bit damp and dank it didn't stop the beach being beautiful. As she stepped onto the damp brownish sand, her foot sank into it satisfyingly. She smiled softly and continued one step at a time. Taking a swig from her bottle of water, she saw a figure in the distance but just ignored them. She wasn't really social anymore. Although back in California she was popular, the one everyone looked up to for advice, clothes and just beauty. She was the trend setter. But now here in Forks, she was just another silent teen hiding secrets of her own.

Her rhythmic one foot after the other was beginning to get a little repetitive. She decided to speed up a little. Hearing a noise behind her she turned round sharply and was overcome by a dizzy spell. Falling to the ground almost instantly. Her bottle of water fell from her hand and she ended up butt first in the damp sand. She was only wearing a pair of denim hot pants and a striped tank top with a brown jumper. Her bottom was instantly wet but her head was swimming. She couldn't seem to keep straight, her vision blurred. She sat there in the sand hoping the world would stop spinning just for a second so she wouldn't faint.

She began to panicky after a few seconds. It wasn't going away and she felt more sick than before. She thought about calling out for help but she had forgotten that there was anyone around. She had also forgotten the fact she had a phone in her pocket. Groaning she tried to put her head in her hands but couldn't. She felt like she was actually going to faint right there and then. Taking quick sharp breaths, panicking she knew what was causing this but yet again was denying it with every fiber in her body.
