personality: Star isn’t even close to having a normal personality. Ever since she was little she had an obsession with blood. It didn’t matter if it was hers or someone else’s she was fascinated by it. Ever since the attempted rape and shooting shortly after her 17th birthday she has had severe post traumatic stress disorder along with severe night terrors. She will wake up in the middle of the night screaming and covered in scratches because she thrashes around so much in her sleep. Her personality switches from quiet and shy to vicious and dangerous depending on the situation and she is definitely not someone you would want to make angry.

Music has been a huge part of her personality and her life. She loves watching musicals almost as much as she loves singing and playing any instrument she can get her hands on. She is very skilled and loves performing and writing new songs even if she can be a little to shy to show them off some times. Music is her saving grace and is one of the only things that keeps her from totally snapping on everyone. She wont ever admit it but her guitar is her best friend especially since it’s the one that Alex got her.

detailed history: Star was born in New York City to Phillip Wallace and Alisa Wingly. Alisa split shortly after having Star and left her with Phillip. Growing up he tried to raise her best he could but being a high ranking officer in the Army made it difficult because he had to move around a lot. He eventually just left her with her grandparents in New York because he felt bad about yanking her out of schools and putting her in new ones every few months. Growing up she wasn’t ever really a normal kid. She loved blood and would often hurt her self or other kids just to see it and play with it. When her grandparents talked about sending her away when she was 15 she ran off.

She had her guitar and was playing on street corners when a boy named Alex stumbled across her. It was cold and raining so he took her to his studio apartment where he lived with 3 of his other best guy friends and they took to each other like glue. They formed a little band eventually and started playing at small clubs and little concert venues with Star singing lead. They were pretty amazing in the little club scene. Things were going pretty perfect for the group and they were like a little family.

One night Alex and Star were walking back from hanging out at one of the clubs they played at when Star realized she left her bag behind so she quickly ran back to get it since it was just right down the street. While on her way back to Alex some men grabbed her and pulled her into an ally way and tried to rape her. Alex realized something was wrong when she didn’t come back so he went to look for her. When he found the guys trying to rape her he started fighting them. They forced Star to watch as they beat him then shot him. Cops eventually showed up but by that time they had their way with her and Alex was dead and the bad guys were gone.

Star’s father came back from his tour and wanted to get Star as far away from the city as he could. One of his buddies lived in a small town in Washington called Forks so that’s where he decided to send her to live while he finished up the rest of her tour. She’s staying with his buddy but she hasn’t been the same since that night. She panics when she’s around big guys but the thing that gets her the most is the night terrors. She wakes up screaming and has massive headaches that can get bad to the point of having to go to the hospital. She’s a frequent visitor there often showing up with self inflicted wounds or severe headaches. She knows she wont be able to ever be normal again but she still has her music and that’s all that matters to her.

The school was starting to grow on Astrid's nerves. Every person she met out side of her roommates pissed her off. There were a few she could tolerate like Zack and Mason but other then that the people were pushing her buttons. The 'psychiatrist' wasn't helping much considering the fact he liked to push her buttons the most. She had yet to meet one teacher that actually seemed like they cared about the students and didn't just want to see them suffer. The only thing she took comfort in was the fact that there was a music room since it was one of the electives and after school it was usually left open so Astrid liked to frequent her time in there. When she was writing or playing it was like no one else in the world mattered to her and she was ok with that.

Classes had just gotten out and Astrid was starving but she knew that she didn't really want to eat. She wouldn't have much of an appetite if she tried any ways. She had dropped almost 12 pounds since she arrived at the school and had taken several trips to the nurses office because she was neglecting food and her diabetes. Now she had a new monitor that stayed on her hip side or back at all times and she had to eat and pay attention to her blood sugar. She didn't want to eat because she didn't have an appetite and felt like a fat slob compared to all the other girls at the school, they were surprisingly pretty and she hated it. She felt extremely inadequate. She tugged off her hoodie as she walked into the empty music room and checked her reflection. Her black tank hugged her thin frame tight as her skinny jeans were held on by a simple black belt.

She ran a hand threw her straight black hair and enjoyed the fact that framed her pale face perfectly. She walked over and picked up a guitar then sat on a stole in the middle of the room and started to tune it to her specifications. Music was the one thing that calmed her down and made her feel normal again. She pulled a music stand up in front of her and placed a bunch of music sheets from a folder that she had and placed them on the stand tugging out a pencil and making some adjustments before she started strumming on the guitar. She felt all tense as she worked at plucking the guitar strings. Something didn't feel right and she started getting frustrated. She kicked over the music stand and it made a loud clanging noise as it hit the ground and bounced around a little. Music pages covered the ground and she slid to her side curling up in a ball with tears on her cheeks. Maybe music couldn't even make her happy any more.
