personality: Leah has quite a complicated personality. To most on the outside, they see her as a bitter young woman. She uses her bitterness to take out her frustrations and heart break that were caused by losing who she felt was the love of her life, Sam Uley. Though she seems like a minipulative harpy as it is easy to mistake her for.. She has a caring heart. Though she hates vampires one she has an ounce of compassion toward is Rosalie Hale, because she fears that her change will keep her from having children. Her inner termoil is very pent up, and has angered her to a point where she has lost herself. She finds it harder to show she cares..
She also feels very isolated. Not just because she doesn't have the most charismatic personality.. but because she is a woman in what is literally a mans world. The Quileute had never had a pack member that was female, so it is hard to deal with the idea. Though she has many questions none can be answered. She doesn't know if she'll ever imprint or bear children, and this kills her inside more feeling like a lost freak that cant even fit into the pack. She tries to ignore her feelings of heartbreak, but finds it very hard.. so she shelters it with her anger and resentment.
She has a short temper with just about everyone around her. This often leads to the nasty and vicious remarks she makes, and often uses the pack's mental connection to remind the others of things they would rather forget. She uses the connect as her outlet vent her anger, hurt, and frustrations at being connected to Sam. She pretends she hates Sam, but in her heart she loves so deeply and wishes the best for him. She also shows loyalty to the and protectiveness of her brother on every occasion. She is also a very competitive person, because she is a girl in a mans pack. She is the fastest and likes to prove she can keep up with the men around her no matter what they might think.
detailed history: Leah Mai T'aima Clearwater was born December 11, 1987 to Harry and Sue Clearwater to the Quileute tribe. She was always a happy and caring girl with a glow about her. She was always beautiful in the most exotic way. Her skin is described by most a perfect copper tone, and her eyelashes are long and featherlike with a deep chocolate brown iris. She was always daddy's little girl. The sweet one that was always trying to impress her parents. Even though a girl hadn't been what the couple anticipated they loved her with all there hearts nonetheless. She was raised by the loving couple, and also later had a son, her younger brother, Seth. Leah quickly became protective over her little brother. The two were stuck together just fine, with very little fighting minus the usual sibling spats. She could recall a time or two she'd smack someone around for saying or doing something to Seth. She loved her life and felt it couldn't get any better. It just wasn't possible.. or so she thought.
She met someone her freshman year of highschool... Sam Uley, a sweet and handsome young man. She began to spend more and more time with Sam. She knew quickly that he was the one. The two began dating and throughout highschool were pretty much inseperable. She loved him, and he felt just as much in love with her. Her senior year, Sam notice his distance and his slow changing. He developed more of a temper, and even went as far as cutting off his hair. There were many excuses for it, but she could see the love in his eyes that kept her anger at bay about not seeing him as much as she used to. Excited that he was finally showing himself more, she invited her cousin over to meet Sam. The day that would change the young woman. The look he had once given leah was now Emily's.. He soon left Leah for her cousin.
Leah hated Emily and Sam, but even more so.. She hated herself. It was hard to let go when she felt her heart was still shattered. She slowly began changing in temperment. She became angry and resentful toward everyone. But the problems weren't close to stopping just yet. A few years of this, and to add to her tormented heart.. her father died. Now, daddy's little girl was fatherless and detroyed inside. This was a time of total darkness for Leah, and the closest person she had was her brother. She missed the closeness of others, but she had shut herself out so long she couldn't even know how to reconnect herself to the world the way she used to be.
She changed in more ways than shut one however; She began to change and ended up becoming on of the shifters. Shocking the tribe as the only and first known female shifter. She joined the pack, unfortunately.. She quickly found that she was connected to all the members.. including there alpha.. Sam. She felt even more bitter resentment. It broke her heart more hearing his thoughts of Emily, so she always used her connection to guilt Sam as much as she possibly could to get back at him for breaking her heart and leaving her for her cousin. At least now, she understood the imprinting. Though it wasn't necissarily Sam's fault, she still felt bitter, angry, frustrated, and broken inside. She masked her love and convince Sam that she really did hate him.
