"Well that's honestly all that matters, right?" He could identify with her when she spoke of her father. Billy Black was the only person Jacob had after his two sisters left. His dad meant everything to him, and he would never let him down as long as he, Jacob William Black, was on the earth. "And no," She certainly was making him laugh, and it could never be enough. If this was all he had to do to forget about Bella for a whole day, he would enjoy doing it. "You wont get shot. I just want to make sure it's alright is all."
There had been much talk of the killings in Seattle, and he was definitely more familiar with them than any normal human being could ever fathom. They were nothing like the terrorizing the red-head was doing near Forks because they were worse. Something was going to go wrong, and every Quileute protector and tribe member knew it was coming; but what was it? "Yeah," Nodding slowly, he began. "I've heard about it, but not too much. It's terrible though- all those folk being killed. I wonder why someone would want to do that."
After confirming his knowledge on the killings, he heard her question about school. He had not really been to school since the transformation had happened, and there was no real reason for him to do so. He had been chosen by Nature and by God to protect his earth, his land, his people... and there was no reason for something like an education to get in the way of it all. Jacob Black would never stop protecting, he would never stop the shifting. His blood would never change, and he would be damned if he wanted it to do so. Shaking his head in a negative manner, he answered her. "Nah, I go a school on the Res."

Carly sighed with Jacob's confirmation of not going in Forks. "That's too bad. It would be nice to know one. Now I have to make sure I won't make myself look like an idiot on first day." She's not scared of getting into a new school or bumping into some bullies, but it'll be nice if for once, she could have a normal school life.
The weird killings in Seattle totally will make it in the headlines. "Maybe for love." She uttered in Jacob's remarks of why would want to do that. "Probably, that person's getting revenge. But you know what, all those hatred that person's carrying, it would be way heavy to create a killing spree. Just a crazy idea. It's probably just some psychopath."
Carly's imagination's just wide, but she's, without a question, not into morbid kinds of stuffs. Carly caught an empty cafe not far from where they're walking. "Wanna grab some coffee? or early dinner?" Her energy was overflowing, bubbliness doubled. For the first time, she doesn't care about time or curfew, 'cause she has no one to set that.

"Nah," Quickly he interjected, in opposition to her statement. Most of the people at Forks High School were rather welcoming. There should be no reason for her to have even the slightest bit of worry about starting school there. "They'll welcome you. There are a rather large number of students who are overly inquisitive and will gladly jump at the chance to get to know someone new." And it was the truth; he had heard Bella speak on all of her run ins with the kids at Forks High when she first moved here.
The word love stuck out to him and only helped him relapse back into his previous mind set: Bella. His heart beat for her, and he knew he was in love. Before he could fall too deep into that pool once more, he smiled at her and shrugged. Before he could say anything, she asked him about coffee or dinner. Biting his lower lip, Jacob was stuck between getting back to the Reservation and meeting up with the rest of the pack and sitting down to dinner with his new-found friend. The enthusiasm was still there, but he was still stuck between the decisions. "Actually," Jacob disliked turning people down, but he had to do so. "I need to be getting back to the Res soon. Can I take a rain check?"

Meeting welcoming and as Jacob pointed out overly inquisitive students' way better than to be a scapegoat. She was bullied once and it marked her for life, taught her that she needs to be strong in able to defend herself. "Well, I certainly don't want to be the center of attention but surely it's a phase that will be over soon."
It was too bad Jacob had to get going which leaves her on her own for dinner. Maybe she can just order some take out food and eat at her place, in any case, she still needs to unpack and do some serious cleaning and organizing in her new home. "Sure you can." She said smiling as he spoke about the rain check. "But remember it's on me."

That was surely an uncomfortable place to be- the center of attention. "Well, remember... Forks is pretty small. They don't usually get a lot of newcomers. You kind of can't escape being the center of attention sometimes." It was true, though rather sad. The teenagers and even some of the older folk living in the town still felt the need to know everything that was going on. "I'm sure you'll be fine."
Still feeling rather bad about having to decline her offer, he readied himself to offer his phone number- in case she ever did wish to be shown around La Push, instead of taking the chance of finding her body washing up on the shore because of the red-head running lose on their land. Then again, he stopped himself before extending his offer verbally, in case that might seem a little too odd. "If you ever run into Bella Swan, tell her you know me."
Part of Jacob felt as though it might make her jealous, but he knew better. Bella had Edward and there was no real reason for her to ever be jealous of anyone. "Hopefully you and I can hang out when I don't have anything to be doing. And no," His playful grin played on his face again as he began to walk in another direction, across the street. "No matter what, the man pays... even in the case of a brand-new friendship. Just sayin'. It was nice meeting you!"

That’s probably the good thing living in a small town like Forks. Everyone knows everyone. Nothing escapes. So far, she thinks Forks’ a friendly place. ”I’m sure I’ll be.” She stated. Unlike in big cities, it’s easier to know people here. She does not wish to further hold him as it seems he needed to get back. After all, she’s got some issues to face with when she gets back to her apartment. ”Bella Swan. Will do.” The name triggered her somewhere, like it was carved it her brain. Maybe, she thought, that was the girl he intends to see.
She grinned as he spoke in protest of her offer to pay if ever they’ll hangout. He was undeniably a true gentleman. Carly waved goodbye as he crossed the street. ”Bella Swan…” she mulled over the name.
