It was midday when David had woken up. He was patrolling all night and finally had time to rest. He lay on the lounge chair on his back porch, looking up at the sky. It was cloudy. Not a ray of sunshine broke through the blanket of gray. Looking around to see if there was any hint of rain on his porch he came up with nothing. There wasn't a stain of rain anywhere on the wood. David stood up feeling a bit refreshed, this kind of weather was odd but soothing in a sense.
Passing the kitchen counter David picked up a piece of paper by the phone. Micheal had given him a call earlier that day giving him his patrol hours. The time was written on the notebook paper. After giving it another look it was swiftly tossed into the garbage bin. His patrol wasn't for another few hours. Ever since he lef Texas people had been so kind as to let him have a job as a police officer. Patrolling the perimeter for hours. The first few shifts were rough. About 16 hours rough each. His commanding officer lightened up recently, giving him just above the usual amount of hours he gave the rest of the patrolmen.
David found himself sitting down on one of the luxurious couches in his cabin; having money left over from his past endeavors and assets came in handy. He made sure to make the exterior of the house look modest enough to not draw attention to himself though. After the first two minutes he realized he had nothing to do. Ever since he had come to Seattle he had been on non-stop patrol duty. He never really had time to himself like he did now.
Slipping on a pair of beat up jeans, a sweater, and some comfortable shoes, David strolled out of the house. The park was a ways away from his place so he had to get there fast if he wanted the catch a movie. Taking a detour into the forest was ideal if he wanted to run full speed without getting exposed. He had been running as a wolf for the past couple weeks he nearly forgot to exercise his human muscles.
As he went through the park to cut time he noticed...something following him. Or was it a someone? He couldn' tell just yet.

The tension at the estate had been far too much for Kristina to bear. Mikel and she had not been on good terms since her arrival back to Seattle a couple weeks ago. Her unauthorized saving of a one David Reaves had sent Mikel into a rage she had never seen before. As punishment, he had taken him captive and was using his family as leverage for help. The thought made Kristina sick. Not because it was sadistic, but because she had let herself feel something for the man. The past few days, she had been struggling to forget about the man, but had been having no luck. She didn’t want to feel anything for him. She was an agent…love was not allowed in her field of work. No, she was only allowed simple one night stands to satisfy anything she needed. The thought made her muscles contract, but she tried her hardest to remain calm. Her emotions were all over the place, she knew precisely why: she hadn’t hunted since the previous full moon. Her fox was anxious and needed to be let free. But she also knew she didn’t want to be around the estate. To be even near Mikel make her skin crawl at the moment. Eventually, she knew they would be fine, but until then…she needed out.
Trying her best to remain calm, she moved to her closet and changed into a little black dress. Sure, she wasn’t going out for a date, but she always wore the finest. The dress was designer brand, and came mid-thigh…giving it a classy yet risqué feel. She then slipped on a pair of heels and grabbed a light jacket. Really she wasn’t too worried about looking nice. The clothes would be coming off anyways when she transformed. But regardless of how little she tried, she still looked absolutely breathtaking. The dress accented all the right curves and the heels only topped off the outfit. Her hair fell in soft curls on her shoulder, and her sun-kissed skin was flawless. Even in bad circumstances, she was still beautiful.
Leaving the mansion, she decided it would just be best to walk. The park she had in mind wasn’t too terribly far from where she was, and to be honest…she just wanted to be outside and away from luxuries. Her beast was growling and pawing, trying to get out…but Kristina held her back. A fox trotting down the street wasn’t exactly normal. She would definitely have to wait until tree cover in the forest to let her beast run wild. Until then, Kristina was more than content to just walk and gather her thoughts.
It didn’t take long before she reached the park. Maybe thirty or forty minutes. Mikel probably wouldn’t even notice she was gone. Or he would, but she knew he wouldn’t question it. In either sense, she didn’t care. She could more than take care of herself.
Moving towards the edge of the forest, she saw the park was vacant except for one man running. He wasn’t just a man though, that much she could tell. Inhaling deeply, she smelled his lycan scent and immediately knew he was a wolf. Until she had been an agent, all the flavors of lycanthropy had blended together and she wasn’t really able to tell. But, now she had it down to an art. The thought to approach him crossed her mind, but she brushed it away. The last thing she needed was another male encounter to set Mikel off again. Instead, she just kept walking towards the forest…her eyes occasionally glancing up at the man. It wasn’t until she was almost there that she realized he was heading the same direction she was: right into the forest.
